Title: Observing

Maxube Liken - December 3, 2004 05:01 AM (GMT)
Maxube walked around the university, seeing people walking back and forth taking their night classes. She somehow needed that, to be surrounded by life. She smiled softly, yet making sure her fangs were not shown, she didn’t want humans to find out about them, and didn’t want to be caught herself. Being in the campus she seemed not that out of place, being that collage students were used to the extravagances of some of their classmates.

The female looked around her in a confused manner, not sure of what she was to do being that she had not been in such a place. People around her just looked at her and shrugged her confusion off by thinking her to be a freshman, which her apparent age matched with if one was to put attention. A slender pale hand tugged back a stray strand of chestnut curly hair, returning it behind her ear for it to flow freely to her waist. She sighed softly, not being able to quit the human habit of breathing, yet it not bothering her in the first place.

Some people turned to look at her but she pretended not to notice, seeking not food at that time since she had just fed, reflecting the color of her skin. In life she had been very beautiful, making her get into trouble quite often, yet now she was even more alluring, adding her own power to the mix. Her sapphire eyes scanned around her as she found nothing she could really care for.

She was clad in a sky blue under dress. A navy blue corset was seen, making the top part of her under dress be shown, as well as the butterfly sleeves. A long navy skirt moved around her, loose enough for her to be able to move and not with nearly as much volume as it was used at the time she came from. She seemed overdressed for collage but since the new fashion had taken up to being medieval styled clothing people regularly just took her as another fan of the time and shrugged it off, making it much easier on her.

Fortitudo hated to stalk his victims, but he was at the University campus and there where you many people for him to kill them all. Watching a middle-aged professor walk to his next class as Fortitudo jumped from roof top to roof top. The man turned a corner to make a short cut, but Fortitudo did not care why he took the why down the alley to get to his next class. Ceasing opportunity to attack he jumped from the roof top and tackled the man pining him to the ground. He sank his fangs into the man's neck draining the mans blood. When he was finished he wiped his mouth and licked his teeth clean of blood and started walking back towards the exit. He wanted the Mortals to find the body he had already killed three other people at the University before and he wanted to start a panic.

Walking towards the exit he feels the presence of another Vampire. He looks around with his green eyes trying to figure where the Vampire was. Fortitudo felt the stairs of many mortals. He could not blame them he was wearing a black Trench coat and had long black hair so that they could not see his face. Where was his other Vampire?

Maxube Liken - December 3, 2004 05:58 AM (GMT)
Maxube felt the presence of another and turned around, attempting to catch the person the collage students seemed to be putting more attention to or being the weariest of. Either of them could mean another of her kin was around, and not as many were as ‘nice’ to humans as she was, wanting to protect their blissful innocence about vampires. She walked slowly, knowing her clothing would probably attract his attention to her, yet it was fine with her. He was probably around to feed as she had gone there in the first place yet she had not killed her victim, just clouding her senses for him to not remember their encounter.

Her senses were alert as she walked by a building, blending in with the building without noticing nor meaning to. She reached out with her mind, attempting to find a connection to which to talk through, attempting to read the male’s mind. Being one of the ones known as the guardians she made sure the balance was kept and that the innocence of the mortals was not intruded.

The older vampire sighed once again as she finally caught sight of the male, standing to one side, not knowing if he would recognize her as one of his kin or not, yet just wishing to observe any behavior for the time being. Things weren’t always brisk, most of the time, time was needed and therefore she preferred to watch for a while, wanting to see who she would talk to before hand. Just a preparation that had saved her many times and a thing she had learned the hard way. Sometimes the peaceful quiet way was the best exit.

"Ahh so you have found me." he said as he felt the other Vampire opne a mental link with him. Fortitudo started to think about what to do. Should he run away and make her chase him or act like he had not noticed her. He liked the former more than the latter. He started to run in the opposite direction of where he guess she was. Moving faster than any mortal eye could see he pulled out a knife and cut a few mortals necks. "What are you going to do now Amman?" He spoke with such anger. "I know you can hear me. Lets play tag and your it." He loved to play games especially tag against other Vampires. He liked to test how fast he was and how fast they where.

Maxube Liken - December 5, 2004 04:16 AM (GMT)
Maxube let out a hiss as she turned around and to where he was running and shook her head at him, not wanting to follow the game as she used her power to attempt and command him to stop. A command many people called "voice". She was glaring at him, expression that was rare upon the normally laid back female. Three needles appeared in between her fingers as she closed her hand, needles that had been strapped to her upper leg and where more rested. Her sleeves covered the needles as she put her hands down, shielding them from view of mortals as she walked to the male, not running as he was.

Do not play with me child.
She said annoyed, as one would tell a small child that insisted on doing mischief even when his parents had scorned at him many times before. She sighed softly as she shook her head once again and kept her arms at her sides, not wanting to fight before mortals in an attempt to keep their innocence.

Fortitudo Dei - December 5, 2004 04:33 AM (GMT)
Wow she was not even running after him. Why did other covens fear the power of the Amman this on is weak. To show the other Vampire that this was not any normal game he started to kill the mortals even faster. The mortals that he did not kill took notice of their class mates fall to the ground started to run away. "Run away stupid mortals it won't help you now." The basic training the Nyx gave him was really paying off. Noticing that he has killed all the mortals in this area he jumps up a wall to go to another part of the University to kill more people.

As he reached the top her mental attack took hold. He could not move, he could not control himself at all. Fortitudo feel down on the roof with no power in his body to fight it. He was at her mercy and he did not what to. "So you've could me with out even chasing me. Nice work." He hated this other Vampire, but he did not show it in his voice. If there was any way he could regain control of his body he would attack his Vampire. His anger flared and his adrenalin kicked in. With the power of his rage and his adrenalin kicking in he barley regain control of his body. Even with his control back he could only sit on his knees and wait for the Vampire to show up.

Maxube Liken - December 5, 2004 04:59 AM (GMT)
Maxube glared at the male as she walked towards him, taking her time in manipulating mortal minds into forgetting what they had just saw and modifying it into something that simulated someone walking in and shooting with a shot gun. She shook her head at having to make mortals lie to themselves, yet it wasn’t a hard thing. Humans preferred to stay on top of the food chain and they would believe almost anything before believing that vampires existed.

By the time the female reached her destination the male was upon his knees and she raised a slender eyebrow in amusement.
You have enough will power to stand? That is quite impressive; too bad the power is wasted on one so selfish and immature. How old are you? More than a century at least, and yet you act like a mortal child. Pathetic.
She replied disgusted as she stood over him, her needles of her left hand being placed against his chest as she prepared for what would not be a final blow, but should be paralyzing enough. Even though vampires couldn’t die of regular injury, they could feel pain and if her needles weren’t enough she had other weapons.

Fortitudo Dei - December 5, 2004 05:14 AM (GMT)
Feeling her needles rest up against his chest. He thought should I fight back and show that I have more control over my body then the female Vampire realizes or should I try to talk my way out of this predicament. Fight he wanted to fight and that was what he was going to do. "I am over 450 years old ancient." He replied with a snarl. Quickly moving he kicked her in the chest as his hand flew back and drew his sword. "Hmm ancient maybe you don't have as much of an control over me as you thought." He liked to surprise people and his was the best he had ever done. Fliping back wards he stood up with his sword held forward waiting for her to make the next move. "So what is it going to be ancient stay and fight me or leave?"

Maxube Liken - December 5, 2004 05:29 AM (GMT)
Maxube was taking by surprised and fell back, quickly landing crouched with a hand on the floor lightly and one leg stretched lightly. She laughed, a pure melodious tone edged with sarcasm. Her pose was of one with experience in martial arts, her having the experience in Kun-Tao Silat, an ancient Chinese technique which seemed to be more vicious than the rest, never holding taking a step back as an option. She was looking at him slightly amused for having hit her once, yet it had been her mistake, not being alert.

What about it? You are still a child by both age and mind. One would say people developed a better sense of mind with time, yet it seems that there is always an exception.
She spoke softly, the wind carrying her voice. Her needles were held in place as she spoke, waiting until her chest healed. It had not been a great hit for her, yet she knew that in a fight those would build up, and she wished to waste the less possible.

She scanned the sword and smiled, knowing she probably had an advantage over him. Swords were by nature clumsier and obviously heavier than needles. She stayed in the defensive position, challenging him to make the first move since he seemed so eager to fight. She looked at him with a determined face as she seemed to move with the grace of a feline.

After many years one learns many lessons. I would advice for you to learn them first.
She said, not making any threats, just giving facts that referred to wisdom.

Fortitudo Dei - December 5, 2004 06:46 AM (GMT)
Realizing that he pulled out the wrong weapon for this fight. He quickly stuck his sword in the ground next to him and pulled out his two of his many daggers. Fortitudo loved his sword, but right now it was too slow for this fight. He still is going to use it to kill her, but it will only be used for the killing blow. "That is funny one as old as your self should no that chasing me was childish too."

She also moved into a defensive position. Fortitudo guessed that she wanted him to make the first move. That is ok with him, he has made the first move in many fights. Throwing his daggers into the air he throws six of his throwing knives that her the first one aimed directly at her hart and the other one would be misses if she did not move. However, if she did move she would be hit with one or more of the others. Catching his daggers he lunged forward with one even before he saw want his throwing knives did, the second fallowed almost immediately after the first.
