Title: Shattered Reality
Description: World's crashing down

Gabriel - December 2, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
The slow steady foot steps of the seemingly young vampire walked onward. Her head facing down as her black clothing hung over her small body. Her long black hair straight back behind her. The rain around her covered the tears which rolled down her cheaks. She had been stood up...and by a mortal of all things. Even with vampiric looks she had been unable to seduce him. Her black shirt was wet and hung over her equally wet black pants. Her make-up was running and her eyes red and puffy from crying.

She walked further down the street passing by the mortals on both sides of her. They seemed to go by her without even noticing the depressed female. Her hands where clentched into fist so tightly that blood had begun to run down her pale knuckles. She felt as though the world was crashing down around her. Maybe she should just end her eternal life and get rid of this depression for good. She hadn't been happy in ages not since she had been turned really. Even her death had been a failure. ~Can you do anything right Gabrielle? I mean you failed at pulling in a mortal male. How could you fail at that. You need some major help when it comes to seducing people.~ Tears mixed with the falling water as the fell to the ground. With every step she took her pace slowed until she had come to a complete stop at the entrance to an alley. ~You should have been faster then your brothers with vampirism on your side but before you knew what was going on they were vampires too! They are even stronger then you could ever hope to be.~ She rubbed her eyes patheticly. ~Think of what they would do if they found out about you now. About how weak you are. Even my loving brother would betray you when he finds out about me now...~ She bailed more though no one could tell as the ran washed it all away.

Lock awoke. He immediately remembered what had happened the night before, and pulled the lid of the coffin downwards to he could rise and walk around his now home. He smiled, still enjoying it, even after hours exploring it last night. He felt the thirst of course, but it could wait. It was raining. He looked outside the window with a slight frown. Mortals didn’t enjoy the rain like he did. Pity, if they did I would have less problems finding my breakfast.

After an hour or so of dressing up, he finally found a black trench coat that fit him and he pulled an umbrella from it’s place and hopped entered the elevator. He went to the bottom floor and immediately strode out into the rain. He opened the umbrella and his mind automatically turned into his “hunt-mode.” No mortals were safe right now, any would serve tonight. He wanted to hurry up and explore this City as soon as possible.

He found a petite young mortal woman, running through the streets to her house. He didn’t even bother in anything fancy. He used his vampire speed, pulled her into an alley and had drained her before she could even wonder what had happened. He dropped a few pecks of his own blood to cover the bite marks before her heart stopped and threw her in a garbage can.

Then, as he left the alley he saw someone he’d not seen in a long time. “My, my! My sweet young Gabrielle. It sure has been a long time since we’ve seen each other.” He smiled at her. She was evidently crying. In truth, Lock didn’t give a damn about what. He was just surprised to see her there. “What brought you to Demaitre, my blood-daughter?”

Gabrielle's eyes slowly rose to the voice which belonged to her maker. Her tears had all left just as suddenly as they had come. Her eyes were now filled and anger and disgust. She glared at the vampire coldly. "My god if it isn't the lowest thing on earth." She pushed him slightly. Using no vampire strength just enough to get her point across. "You think you can just say hi to me for no reason! After you left me without a word! You bastard! I should kill you right this second after what you did to me!" She growled though it was hardly threatening more or less just pent up anger ment to see if he would back away or not. "I mean who do you think you are coming to me after all these years and acting like were long lost friends!" She was acting more like an ex-girlfriend then the vampire's fledgling though she was hardly a fledgling anymore. "What the hell is your problem you peice of crap!" She raised her hand as if about to slap him but then her mood seem to change instantly as she hugged him instead of slapping him. "Oh I've missed you." People on the street had stopped to watch the scene by now as it was sorta strange for it to go from threats to hugs without the other person involved saying anything. "Where have you been? How are you? What brings you to this city? Why did you leave me anyway!? WAS I NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!? I HATE YOU!" She crossed her arms and turned away from him.

Lock could only wait for her to finish with a smirk on his face. She was quite entertaining in a way, and had even thought that she was going to slap him…but was surprised to feel her embrace. His smile widened and then when she finished Lock laughed. “My, my. Gabrielle, you really haven’t changed in all these years?” his tone was low, amused in a way. “I suppose you could continue insulting me, crying and telling me how much of that hate you carry within yourself is directed towards me, but I’ve only heard one thing.”

Lock now used his Vampiric speed to show up in front of her with a broad smile. “Gabrielle, my first born. My beautiful Gabrielle, I’ve missed you as well. I’ve missed hunting with you. I’ve missed your body, your personality…I’ve missed all of you.” In Lock’s mind, he was laughing his back end off. He could care less about Gabrielle, but he knew that she couldn’t read his mind. “I’ve missed you so much, my love…”

He pushed wet hair from her face tenderly and smiled at her. “How have you been these last seven hundred and eighty years? Want to come to my newly acquired home and talk? Perhaps...relive old moments?” Lock smiled at his first blood-daughter. In a way, he loved her…she was his daughter, wasn’t she? Of course, he grew tired of her…moods after a while. It was hard to coexist with a person in a state of depression. He was *not*going to spend all of eternity with her, it’s be horrible for him, and her as well. Especially when he brought new conquests home. Who knows how she’d react? Lock gave her a peck on the cheek. “So, what do you say Gabrielle?”

She looked at him. She wasn't about to fall for that old act again. She wasn't young anymore and wasn't foolish either. Like he gave a rat's ass about her. She smiled though before she began to look slightly puzzeled. Hmmm going with him could serve as some fun but...she knew that someone wouldn't like it and she did call him to tell him to pick her up but...he hadn't showed up yet and she wasn't going to get anything other then some decent conversation from him either. She looked back up at Lock. He however, now that was a differnt story. Some food, some interesting stories and then who knows. She thought for a second. "I don't know...I was supposed to meet someone here." She looked around slowly. "But he isn't here yet so....I geuss I could I mean he can wait though he will be pissed off about being stood up by me..." She sighed deep in thought now.

"I geuss I could come. Though I do still hate you." She crossed her arms in a poutful way casting her eyes to the left. "But you owe me a look around your home anyway so I might aswell but only because I feel bad for you ok?" She smiled tilting her head to the side slightly her eyes closed in a happy way before she openned them. "Shall we be leaving or are you just going to stand there all day with a dumb struck look on your face." She raised her eyebrow slightly. Her moods were still shifting but the shift between the too was so slight it would be hard for someone to notice. It wasn't between anger and happiness but happiness and sarcasim. She uncrossed her arms and pulled her jacket closer around herself. "Come on lets go already. It's chilly out here."

He smiled at her. He wanted to shoot back so many quick remarks at her as she spoke, but in the end decided not to. He did not want to ruin the night…not so soon after awaking…he’d wait a few more nights before starting up on his usual antics. “I’m so pleased that you’ve taken pity on me and have decided to come see my new home. It’s rather close to here, I hope you’ll like it. I’ve only just acquired it, after all, I was asleep so long…” he let his phrase trail off and smiled at her again. “So, what have you been doing in the years? You look beautiful, who where you going to meet?”

Lock had started to walk towards his home, expecting her to follow him as she had always done. He was prepared to listen to her, to let her tell him what worried her as he’d often done. He was going to show her his new living place, and out of politeness he’d ask her to stay a while with him. From there many things could happen, and none of which Lock really knew if he would enjoy or not. He of course had only just fed, and it was one bite…he’d surely need another meal before the rest of the night…
