Title: The Replacement

Razi walked into the building. It seemed like it had very many choices - Operas, music, usual plays... He was kind of nervous, since he had to play for the first time in front of a real audience. It wasn't too important play, but it was to him. If it would go wrong, it wouldn't probably be too good for his future. One of the players had called in sick, and Razi had to replace him. He went into the backroom, where he found no one. He was a bit front of the time, as he had thought that he would come late if he wouldn't have came by this bus.
As he changed his suit on, he wondered how could he hide his hair. Classical music listeners wouldn't probably like it. He thought of a hat, but he probably just had to hide in the back of the players. It was dark in the room. He could barely see to get his clothes on, and the lights didn't work. He sat, taking his saxophone out of it's case. He started to play a song. It was pretty fast-paced, and he sometimes had trouble playing it. Right now he didn't, though.

What was this? asked Fabien, looking at the new member of the band from his balcony. The was strange looking, a saxophone player…and green-haired? Oh! How delightful! He giggled in joy of knowing that he would meet him this night. He had to know what he’d done to get such a strange color of hair.
As soon as the music ended and everyone left, Fabien stopped him. “My, My. Your new, I suppose?” he walked in a circle around the man. “Saxophone player? Hmm, interesting. It’s one of the new instruments that I find awkward to play…I usually prefer something like my violin.” Fabien flashed him his best smile. “I like your green hair, I find it fascinating, for I’ve never seen such a hue here before, nor in France….”

"My hair? Yes...I am not supposed to be here, that's why. I'm just a replacement, and I didn't have time to change my hair, nor wanting to. I had to blond my whole hair to get green hair, so I wouldn't like the blond one, and I wouldn't like to pay just for one night."
He smiled.
"It isn't really hard to play saxophone, at least I don't think so."

Fabien nodded, understanding. “Well, so your not supposed to be here?” he smiled slightly, realizing that this strange man could perfectly be his next meal. He wasn’t needed at all in the orchestra—apart from today—and no one would notice it. But, then of course there were two other options…he could turn the man or let him loose. Fabien didn’t want to let him loose, so only two options remained.
He’d never turned someone before, and this man seemed to give him ample opportunity, Fabien knew him somewhat. He played music, and had an exotic appeal to him that Fabien found rather attractive. Fabien nodded to himself. Yes, this man would be the first that he’d turn, maybe then his brother would stop complaining about Fabien never creating more Vampires. “So,” Fabien asked, nearing the man with his most provocative look and smile. “What’s your name?”

"Erm, Razi. Razi Sache", he said and lifted his hand forward. He felt the situation maybe a little awkward - He was used to more relaxed conversations. As he looked at his saxophone, he put his hand on it. He didn't even himself know why, but he just did it. He always did that if he was afraid of it being stolen or something else. This time he didn't, but it still happened.

“Good to meet you, Razi. My name is Fabien Désiée, though I prefer to be called Fabien. Hmm, downstairs, I have some drink, would you like to come downstairs and have a glass with me?” Fabien asked him with a wide smile. “We could talk about…keeping you here, if you liked this place. We pay quite well, you know.”

"Well...Sure!", Razi said slowly as he thought of it. It couldn't be that bad anyways. After he stated that, he went to the changing room and picked up his saxophone holder, and put the instrument slowly into it. He came back, holding the pack.

Fabien lead him down to where he slept with his brother, it was a large and dark room that had once served as a basement. It was now decorated, Fabien had brought various coffins, all beautifully designed and set in a circle shape. But, he didn’t enter that closed chamber where the coffins were kept, and instead showed him to a better room with candles and torches for illumination.
In the center of that room was an elegant table with many chairs around it. There was wine filling the various shelves on the walls. There was a pair of sofas as well. He lead Razi to one, and grabbed a bottle of red wine and two glasses. He filled both and gave on to Razi with a smile. “So, in truth, how much do you really like The Last Curtain? I could offer you a permanent positions here with myself….”

Razi took the glass and took a sip. As a nice suburbia kid, he wasn't used to alcohol. He didn't like it too much, but didn't show his reaction. He looked around. It seemed very classical, but somehow just not normal.
"Well...I like it, but it just isn't as...Relaxed enough. You must guess from my looks that I'm more used to places where the going is slow and not timed enough. It might be slow enough here, but it's a bit too...Timed, I guess. But in lack of anything more perfect than this, I could take the job. Maybe I could just make the other thing as a side project."
There was something unusual around. It was so hard that you could feel it. It was a sad feeling. Almost like someone would have died there.

Fabien grinned like a child, scooting closer to Razi as he spoke, "But, my good friend Razi, all we have is time. Take it slow...if you want, I can...make ways for you to have all the time you could ever wish for." With that, fabien used his super natural speed to puch Razi back and throw him onto the floor, gripping his neck. Within seconds Fabien was on top of Razi, his teeth sliding ddown into his neck and feeling his warm blood trickle into Fabien's mouth.
Fabien held on until he felt that Razi was dying. Then, Fabien pulled away from Razi and looked at the saxophone player. "So, Razi. Would you like to have all the time in the world?" The Vampire pulled a knife from his pocked and cut his wrist nearing Razi's mouth as it dripped blood. "Drink from me, Razi, and you'll have all the time you want...infact, you'll have eternity...if you don't drink, I?m afraid your time has run out..."

Razi panted heavily. He looked at the man with a blank face. Something was seriously going on - He felt it inside himself. He was dying, and he couldn't prevent that himself. Taking his finger to Fabien's blood, he shifted it to his mouth. The taste was horrible, but death wasn't meant for him yet. He didn't know what Fabien was. Something like a vampire? Certainly not - How could anyone live like that these days? It wasn't possible, it couldn't be. Living only at night, not going to sunlight at all? How could he prevent that all in this building with the windows?
He finally had got it down his throat. It had probably been just five seconds, but it felt like hours. He didn't yet understood what happened, but he understood that it might have been his doom. Looking at Fabien, his sight started to fade. Finally, it was totally black, and he couldn't open his eyes anymore.
