Walking down the streets of Demaitre, Tyniax looked around for a place to eat. He was craving some burgers which he hadnt had in awhile. Looking over to his left he saw Mel's Diner. Right away memories of the times he spent there with Rin began to come back into his mind. He missed her a lot, having not seen her in quite awhile. Slowly he extended his hand to grasp the door handle, pulling it open he entered the small diner. Only two other people were in the diner with Tyniax. Taking a seat at one of the booths, a waitress came up to his table. " what would ya like?" she asked him happily. " um...just a cheese burger with some fries. And a coke" he said slightly smiling at her. " alrighty, it'll be done in 10 minutes." As she left Tyniax looked out the window. Biting his lip he tried not to think about the memories he had made with Rin.Oh well he thought to himself. Sighing he leaned back in his chair and waiting for his food.

Rin rubbed her eyes as she leaned against the wall. As she looked out over the barren streets questions filled her mind. She didn't know what all had happened, where she had been or how long she had been unconsious. Hardly could she remember the things before she had fell. Her body ached but it was healing, it was better than it had been. She looked around her eyes pale from loss of blood, she needed to drink. With her hunger driving her on she stumbled across the street, she didn't even notice the headlights coming up fast. There was the screeching of breaks and a loud horn as she barely moved out of the way.

A finger was flicked to her as the driver sped on and she stumbled back out of shock, her blue eyes wide. There was a diner just down the street And Rin saw a waitress peer out the driveway window at her.

Leaning back in his chair, Tyniax heard something happen outside. Some of the workers went outside to see what happened. As he looked out the window the waitress came with his burger, " thanks" he said as she placed his order on the table. He wanted to know what happened but tried to just eat his burger. Picking it up slowly he took a bite out of it.Pretty good he thought to himself as he wiped his face with a napkin. Chewing his food he peered out the window again. Curiousity got the better of him, he got up and walked to the door. Opening it he walked out into the street. Looking around, it seemed like nothing happened. It was very dark out. Turning around he walked back into the diner. Sitting down at his table he took a sip of us coke.

Rin fell back on to her rear and stared wide eyed forward into the emptiness. A waiter ran forward and knelt beside her panting. 'Are you alright?" he asked franticly. Rin's head turned slightly towards him trembling slightly as her lips parted and moved slightly as though she was trying to speak. A few more people rushed over and helped lift her up. As they helped her towards the diner someone draped a coat over her, the hood fell over her face hiding her features and they pulled the coat around her tight to gain warmth.

The waiter pushed open the door so that the others could help her in an lay her down in the booth. She lay there motionless as one ran to the phone dialing up the ambulance.

He heard many people enter the diner. Turning his head he looked back. The waiters and waitresses were carrying someone. Getting up he went over to the booth, they had set the person down in. He couldnt see the person very well, he could only make out that it was a female. " is she alright?" he asked one of the waiters. None of them responded to his questions. Slowly he walked back to his booth and sat down. But he still wanted to know who it was. It could be Rin or Tsuki but, he wouldnt find out yet. He could tell that something was wrong with her. A waitress was calling for an ambulance. He began to wonder what could've happened.

A waiter came and stroked her hair putting a warm dish towel to her cold forehead, 'There there miss, The ambulance will be here soon.' Rin saw Ty through the crowd of people and her mouth opened as she attempted to form words. 'Ty ... ' she whispered hoarsely, 'Ty ...' She started to rise but the waiter gently pushed her down. 'Now now you don't worry.' He patted the dish towel more against her head and walked off. Rin waited till he was out of sight and pulled herself up trying to look over the booth so she could see Ty.

She could see him just a few booths away and she hoped he would look up soon.

There was so much commotion in the diner at the moment that many of the people that were eating had gotten up and left. Silently Tyn ate his burger. Trying to not think about what was going on. Its probaly someone else, it couldnt be Rin or Tsuki he thought to himself. He had overheard some of the waiters talking. The ambulance would be here soon. His back was turned to the booth where the girl was located. Something in him made him turn around. Slowly he turned around, his eyes suddenly widened. It was impossible. It was Rin. He got up quickly, pushing his way through the mass of waiters and waitresses he got to her booth. " are you ok?" he asked quickly. Something was wrong, he knew it. Rin was usually very strong. "whats going on?"

Rin's chest heaved at a sigh of relief as he finally looked to her. She was so happy to see him that she hugged him forgetting to try and answer his questions. A waiter approached them quickly upon noticing the familiarity between them and looked to Tyniax. 'Do you know this woman?' It was a stupid question but the man spurted it out all the same. Rin waited for him to go before leaning close to whisper in his ear.

'Theres nothing I can remember right now ... I don't know what happened ... but there is an ambulance coming ... I can't risk them finding out what I am.' Her eyes looked to his, she didn't want to ask anything of him but she was desprate. A few strands of hair clung to her wet forehead and a long scratch led from her right eye to her ear.

Rin sounded very desperate at the moment. He knew exactly why. He tried to think of what to do. Try and make a diversion so that Rin could slip out of here somehow without being noticed. He looked at her, she had hair stuck to her forehead. She was sweating a bit and a long scratch mark could be seen on her face. The scratch was still unhealed, soon it would be healed since Rin was a vampire her wounds would heal faster. What could've happened he asked himself. Looking around there were still many workers looking at him and Rin. It made it hard for Tyniax to think of a way to get her out of here. Leaning closer to her he whispered, " I'm trying to think of a way to get you out of here. I just dont know how. Any ideas?"

Rin shifted as she looked around the diner, there wasn't much to work with. Rin moved slowly upon hearing the ambulance draw nearer and looked to him. 'Tell them your taking me to the restroom ... they should let us go. Hopefully there should be a window or back door or something.' Rin looked to the waiter who had glimpsed away for a second, 'I'm not in that good of shape right now ... so we can't go fast.'

As the waiter started to return his attention to them Rin looked to Tyniax. 'Let's go ... it either now or difficult time later on.' She grasped his hand and squeezed gently hoping they could get away alright.

He listened intently to what Rin said. He nodded. Slowly he wrapped his arms around her waist. Lifting her up in his arms he carried her to the restrooms. One of the waiters came up behind him and asked what was he doing with her. " Im taking her to the restroom, she'll be back in a few minutes" Tyn said quickly. The waiter left them alone and they were able to go on. Turning the corner to the restrooms he looked around. There wasnt a backdoor. " shit" he said. Pushing open the male restroom he saw a window. It wasnt a big window but Rin would be able to fit through it. " Ok, I'm guessing some way you can crawl out this window. I wont be able to fit through it but I'll try and get out and come back here for you" he said quickly.

Rin grew lightheaded as he helped she stood with him, her nose wrinkled slightly upon encountering the stench that lingered within the men's restroom. She looked to the window then to him. 'Are you sure you can't get through there? Your going to face problems if they find you came back without me ...' Her voice was hoarse and she wished to know why she was in such horrible shape but she forced it back into her mind and looked at the window.

'I think I can get through there without assistance, go ahead and go, that way if someone comes to the door calling for me I can reply.' She paused and smiled lightly. 'Thanks Ty ...'

" I'm quite sure I cant fit through there, I'd probaly get stuck and that wouldnt do any good.." he said quickly. " it's no problem Rin. I'll go back now and I'll see what I can do to get out of the diner and come around here to get ya.." he said as he made sure she was able to stand by herself. Quickly he walked to the door and left. Walking back to his booth the same waiter came up to him, "where is she?" "she's still in the bathroom. She'll be out soon" Tyn said. While he was eating his burger he heard the ambulance outside. Oh shithe thought to himself. Getting up he went and paid for his food. Pushing the door to the diner open he walked out. As he turned around, one of the waitresses was going to the restrooms for Rin.

Tyn paniced and quickly ran to the back of the diner.

Rin had the window opened soon and was standing on top of the counter when she heard a faint knock on the restroom door. 'Miss? The ambulance is outside ... Miss?' The door knob wriggled and Rin quickly replied. 'Alright I'll be out in a sec.' She bit her lip as she started to pull herself up, her body was sore and it hurt but she finally got her upper half out. There came another knock, this time it was one of the parametics. 'Miss? Do you need help?' This time she didn't answer, she pulled her legs out and closed the window.

She looked around quickly for Ty as she grasped at a ladder going up the wall to pull herself up. Footsteps could be heard and she hoped it was him.

Running over to where the windows were he saw Rin sitting on the ground. " The ambulance is here, we've got to go now" he said as he wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up onto her feet. Lifting her up he carried her. " where should we go?" he asked quickly looking around for a place to hide.

Rin paused thinking, she looked around not really knowing where they where and saw a street sign on the other side that read Krenek. 'My apartment shouldn't be far but for now ....' She looked for a quick place to hide and saw just down the alley a door that led into the storage room of a store. 'There that should do for now.'

She could hear footsteps heading in their direction and she hoped the door would be unlocked.

" Sounds good" he said as he ran down the alley towards the store. Reaching the door he extended his hand to grasp the handle. As he tried to pull the door open it wouldnt budge. Pulling harder it still wouldnt open, " Shit. It wont open" he said out of breath. Turning his head he looked around for a place to hide. Behind the stores was a patch of woods. It wouldnt be much cover since most of the tree's were dead and bare. Running down the alley he took a right. There was an abandoned building where they could go and hide. Still carrying Rin he reached the building. Running to the back of the building he opened the back door. This was where he stayed since he had gotten kicked out of his apartment. Closing the door behind him he looked at Rin.

" this place is good for now " he said quickly.

Rin smiled and hugged him greatfully. 'Thank you, Tynaix.' She paused to look around, 'I've never seen this place before ... ' she mummered, hardly did she ever come around here, normally she would take a taxi to the other side of town where she would hunt. Her pale eyes which searched the darkness returned their gaze to him once more and she gave a slight laugh. 'You should put me down, it's not easy to make a dash like that, especially while carrying someone.'

It was clear she had healed somewhat from the experience near the diner, she wasn't sure if walking was a good idea but she had definately regained something.

" It's no problem Rin" he said smiling at her. He slowly lowered her onto the floor. " Yeah, its been abandoned for years. I've been staying here for many months now" he said sitting down next to her. Biting his lip he wondered what happened to her. Looking at her he smiled warmly, " can you tell me what happened to you?" he asked curiously. Leaning his back against the wall he waited for her reply.

Rin watched him as he set her down and pulled the coat around her. 'You've been staying here?' She paused to look around and shook her head. 'this won't do ... you should stay with me ...' She smiled but it was lost as soon as he asked her the same question she was asking herself ever since she had came to. 'I-I don't know exactly ...' She closed her eyes, 'I just remember waking up ... somewhere ... and I hurt ... and then I was walking ... and thats when that car almost ran me over ... and then I was brought into the diner.' She looked at him and shrugged. 'thats it ...'

" Well I would've stayed with you but I hadnt seen you or Tsuki around at all " he said concerned. She didnt know what happened. It must've been something terrible. Rin had a scratch on the right side of her head which was healing quickly. Tyn began to remember the time where they had encountered those people in the Alley, it was the first time Rin and Tyn had met. Maybe those people had something to do with it. He wasnt quite sure but he had to ask Rin. " Do you remember the time where we first met? Those people that were after you, do you think they did something to you?" he asked curiously.

Rin nodded and smiled. 'I remember, though the last experience that I can recall with Astyoch and my father was a couple months ago.' She paused, that was when she killed him. Rin could never be proud of what she had done, but if she had spared him he would hunt her still. 'It very well could have been Astyoch, she used my father as a puppet, and now that she has no one she probably did get to me.' The more she thought about it the more confused she got and slowly she rested her head on his shoulder. 'ugh ...' She muttered tiredly. Remembering him bring up Tsuki she sighed. She missed her lil sister it had been a long while since she had seen her and she could already hardly bare a day between meetings. Rin closed her eyes trying to clear her mind, for she was so tired and usually she couldn't sleep with alot of stuff on her mind.

" Ah. I see" he said as he felt her rest her head on his shoulders. He had never met Rin's father but did meet Tsuki's. He wasnt the best dad in the world, had gotten caught up with drugs. It was a good thing that he was in jail now. Tyn didnt know who Astyoch was and he got the feeling that he wouldnt want to meet her. Looking around he thought about going back to Rin's place to rest. She needed to rest quickly. And this place wasnt a great place. " when do you think we should go?" he asked her softly.

Rin shifted slightly and mumbled something softly. A few seconds passed and she realized he probably didn't understand her. 'I think we should ...' She parted slowly from him and started to push herself up, 'I think those people won't be around here for awhile. We could take our time.' She used the wall to lean against and smiled thinking about her crappy apartment, for once it seemed like heaven.
