Title: Le Fantôme De L'opéra
Description: The Beauty of Music
Chris - November 24, 2004 04:50 PM (GMT)
Fabien looked at the dark opera house, and smiled as silence enveloped him. Le fantôme de l'opéra. he thought with a wide smile. Heand his brother had taken to living for a time in the opera house where the music from the band players could reach they’re ears every night. It was already late, and he’d decided to come up to the surface of the stage with his violin…his Stradivarius to possibly get a bit of music started.
He brought the violin up to his chin and took a deep breath and place the long beautifully carved stick to the cords and ran it a few times along them, just listening to the fine tuned instrument’s notes for a few second, and then he started with a piece he’d written years ago which he’d named “Mémoire d'immortalité.” He’d written this particular song in the first half-century that he’d been turned into a Vampire.
As he played his song, the music sped up to inhuman speeds…one of the few reasons that only Fabien played this piece (apart from that, he’d never shown it, nor played it in front of anyone else). The piece was mainly made up of improvising, open to any instument, though the violin was predominant.
He imagined it as a story of a Lonely Vampire. The violin was the Vampire and the main character (thus the primary instrument in this piece). Others instruments made up for other characters; the organ was the Sire or Creator of the violin-Vampire. Later on in the piece, the flute would enter as the Vampire that the violin created and then the flute would evolve to a stronger instrument…he didn’t know which, yet…
He continued to play, unaware of what occurred around him, and lost into the beauty of his own music…

Liv's eyes where shimmering with childlike curiousity as she peeked past the dark velvet curtains. She listened to the odd music, her slender fingers stroking the soft fabric of her skirt as she watched him. She didn't want to disturb him afraid and yet desiring to hear more. Quietly she crept forth staying in the safety of the shadows, her stalking ways almost predatory.
The song was somewhat sad and she wished to read his thoughts, if only she had the power. A pale arm extended to him, soft tips of her slender fingers yearned to touch him to see if something that could create such beauty was real. He moved and she pulled back, her light feet silent. She gave a soft noise to allow him knowledge of her presence and waited.

He’d noticed her only minutes after she’s arrived…well, better said, he noticed her subconsciously. He knew she was there, but he was so intent on his violin, and the music that it produced that when he finished and turned around, he slightly jumped at the sight of the woman. She was a vampire, just like he, and attractive in a way…Fabien shook the thought out of his head… Don’t go falling in love with every pretty girl! he said reprimanding himself.
“ Bonjour… Combien de temps avez-vous été là?” he said in French, but quickly shook his head, realizing that the woman probably didn’t know his native tongue. “Er..” he started, his accent very heavy with the French accent. “How loung have you been there…watching me, I mean.” Fabien frowned slightly, not exactly sure of he’d said it right. He knew how to speak English quite well, but at times he confused words.
(Sorry for shortness...))

Liv shuffled her feet slightly and looked away. 'not long ... I ... uhm ...' She looked at him out of the corner over her eyes and wondered if her few classes in french could help her out. 'Je suis desole ...' she said softly. 'your music was just so beautiful.' Summoning courage she lifted her head to look at him. It was strange how calm she was now, hardly ever did she feel such peace.
She extended her hand to him slowly and smiled. 'My name is Liv ... Comment t'appelle tu?'
(shortness is ok I'm being short too so no worries)

Fabien looked at her astounded. A fellow native of France? She did speak French, though in these times many spoke French all around the world. He set the violin on the chair near him and neared her, looking into her immortal eyes…he could feel it coming…it always happened… especially with immortals, other Vampires. He sighed, now that he couldn’t stop it. He always tried and never succeeded. Luckily, in the last few years, he’d not seen a single Vampire this…beautiful…as he was often with his elder brother most of the time.
“Je Fabien, vous suis- a-t-il vraiment aimé ma musique? Personne n'a jamais le listend à lui avant...” he said to her softly. He smiled at her slightly, in a hope that she had liked the piece that he’d worked on so long. So many years on the same piece often made the author doubt of his writing. He’d never let anyone listen to it, and not even my accident had they heard it. Now…this Vampire…this beautiful Vampire named Liv had. He wasn’t sure how to think of it…

Liv felt a spark of fear within as his eyes met hers, so few had actually valued her enough to create contact between eyes. Now it frightened her. Her pale optics widened slightly though she did not break from his gaze, and she smiled meekly as she withdrew her slender hand. 'Yes I do indeed admire your music, it has been so long since I had heard something as beautiful as it is ... You should not hide such beauty ...'
There was a pause as she could see his thoughts behind his eyes and her gaze averted from his. If he had been thinking such thoughts she could not let him any closer for fear she would ruin his perspective of her. She wasn't worth anyones admiration. He knew nothing of her, how did she know if he got even the slightest hint of her past, even her present that he would leave. This would leave her vunurable to the Hell that had been her life, she would succumb to it once more and never again see the beauty that she had just witnessed.

He smiled at her, taking a step foreword, a bit unsure of what to do. She’d liked his music! That was the most important part, she’s enjoyed the one piece that he’d allowed no one, not even his older brother, to listen to. “I’m very glad that you enjoyed it, Liv,” he said reverting back to English as she had. “It’s a very important song for me…I started writing it so many years ago…nearly two-hundred years with the same song. A song that no one has heard…
“You,” he said with a smile still on his lips. “You…” Fabien struggled for words. He knew what he wanted to say, but just couldn’t express himself in the English language as well as he thought he could. With a frown, he closed his eyes and then opened them, looking straight into the jems that were her eyes. He opened his had as if he were an actor, upon the stage, interpreting an act. “ En ces quelques moments face à face je sens déjà mon coeur emballer pour vous et votre beauté. Vos cheveux noirs, vos beaux yeux et votre manière de vous respirer..., mon chéri Liv, sont plus beaux que n'importe quelle note mon violon peut faire.”
There, he’d said it. He smiled at her. Why, why did he have to fall for every beautiful Vampire or mortal that he came into contact to? And why were they all so beautiful?

Liv was positively taken back with each word that parted from his lips. A blush rose to her pale face and she turned her gaze from him. This was a first for her, this feeling so many knew as shy. Her gaze fell upon his open hand and slowly she slipped hers into his grasp. Her thoughts were anything but silent, she was scared, excited and yet cautious all at once. Never had anyone spoke to her the way he had just now.
She wanted to warn him of her past, of every wrong in her life that would bring him harm. But that step had brought him so close. Her eyes returned to his and slowly, quite cautiously she leaned into him afraid of what his reaction would be. She felt her lips caress his and she closed her eyes, giving in.

He smiled tenderly at her as she put her hand in him, and he brought her close to him. He didn’t speak, but instead sent wordless thoughts of love into her mind. He too was receiving her feelings, her thoughts of fear excitement, and cautiousness. He also perceived that she wanted to tell him something important, but found herself incapable of doing so. He pulled her closer to him and smiled.
He knew what was coming when she leaned into him, and with a grin Fabien leaned closer to her as well, meeting up with her halfway. He also anticipated the kiss, and he felt his back hairs rise slightly as they’re lips touched for the first time, before entering the the kiss. At first, it was a soft kiss…he playfully had his tongue tease hers….but then he felt it develop into something deeper. More…passionate.
bloodless_child - November 25, 2004 10:27 PM (GMT)
Liv lost herself in their kiss, a chill lacing her spine as she moved closer. She felt his tongue against hers in attempts to tease, and she smiled into the kiss. Her fangs unsheathed with the passion that arose and as she pulled away they cut into her lip. Blood trickled slowly down her chin as she looked up to him, she hadn't moved far, only an inch and another kiss was tempting.
She squeezed his hand tenderly before letting go and reaching to brush away her blood.
(eeek shortness)

He let her part herself from him and he smiled at her, looking at the blood on her chin. Nearing her again, his tongue left his mouth and he softly lapped up the blood that rolled down her chin with quiet tenderness, until he came to the original wound on her lip. He sucked on the wound softly, tasting he blood. He continued to softly suck on her lip until it cured itself, the he smiled at her again.
Fabien maneuvered his tongue under his canine and bit down until the canine exited the other side. Expertly pulling his now bleeding tongue from his tooth he kissed her again, letting her savor his blood. His hands sat on her curving hip, at times slowly moving upwards, feeling her womanly curves and buttocks. He continued to kiss her as blood flowed from the rapidly healing hole in his tongue…

Liv's knee's weakened slightly as he licked the blood from her lips and chin. Slowly she embraced him as he began to kiss her once more, his blood as sweet as it was made it impossible for her to draw away. His touch even sent chills lacing up her spine and her hand fell from his shoulder to one of his wandering hands and guided it along her alabaster flesh.
It did not take long at all for his tongue to heal yet his taste still lingered. A smile graced her lips before nezzling her nose tenderly against his. Her hand meanwhile laced fingers with his own as she traced them over her lips to her chest and down her torso.

Fabien shuddered slightly after they finished kissing, a sudden way of passion rising up again as they parted he wanted to kiss he more, but more and show exactly how much he enjoyed her right now…being near her…how much he was attracted to her and how much he loved her. Oh! If only Salem could see the love that they were both sharing! He smiled at her, and said in English, “My love for you in this very moment is infinite as the Universe—if not more.”
bloodless_child - November 27, 2004 01:03 AM (GMT)
Liv smiled upon hearing his words, her eyes shimmered slightly in what little light there was as she looked into his eyes. 'Oh Fabien I feel the same for you ...' Her voice was soft and wistful and she looked as though nothing could have made her happier than knowing this.
There was a pause and slowly her gaze lowered. 'But ... there is hardly a thing we know of each other ... what if ... what if ...' Her gaze met his again and it was clear she was afraid. 'What if there is something of me that you do not love ... I don't want to lose what it is we have now.' She embraced him gently and spoke softly. 'I love you Fabien ... more than anything on this earth or anywhere in the beyond could.' Her fingertips tenderly combed through his hair and she kissed his lips tenderly.
Chris - November 27, 2004 11:43 PM (GMT)
“Should that matter?” he asked, a slight frown on his lips. “There are few things about me to like or dislike—I am Le Fantôme De L'opéra, I play on this stage while mortals sleep I feed every night, and then play my music. My brother roams around the city, and we see each other often. I love beauty, even possibly too much for my own good. I am often found listening to the players on the streets or perhaps in the theatre, watching modern actors take on they’re roles. I do no fear anyone, nor anything to be truthful. And I love you more than I have loved anything else as far as I can remember, and I remember the entire two and a half centuries in my life.”
Fabien responded to her kiss with gentleness, show how much tenderness, the love, he felt for her. At this very moment he loved every inch of her body, her soul, her blood. He wanted to be closer to her in everyway, and feeling their interlacing tongues right now was best sensation he’d ever felt. It was better than the taste of the blood of his first mortal victim. It was better than playing on the Stradivarius. The love he felt for her was greater than his love for beauty, his love for art, for music, for theatre. His love for her was in this very moment the greatest thing that had ever happened to him.
That was it! He thought in a second. He’d write a sonnet for her, he’d write music that they ould both play, expressing their love. He abrumptly parted from her sweet, sensual lips with a wide grin, and a sole question in mind. “Can you play an instument, my love?” he asked her softly. “And if so, which one can you play? In my love for you I would like to write you a song, a song which we could both play, expressing our love. I have nearly every intrument you could imagine within my grasp.
“And, if you did not know how to play one, I could teach you. We have an entire eternity. I could teach you, anything you like. Any music that your heart would desire.” Fabien smiled at her, kissing her on the lips with a wide smile, evidently possessed with the idea of him and this beautiful creature that he loved could play together, that they could express they’re love in musical tones together. “What do you say, my love? Would you like to do this? Would you like to learn to play and express our love in music notes?”

Liv smiled warmly upon seeing his little concern for her past. His words astounded her though she knew the feeling to be mutual, it just came so beautifully, as though he spoke poetry by nature. As he parted from her lips she couldn't help but give a slight giggle to his abupt excitment. 'I played the piano when I was a child, but it had been countless years since.'
There was a pause as he spoke of teaching her and she felt her heart begin to race. 'Fabien ... oh would you?' She embraced him, 'Any music would do! As long as I may play by your side I am happy.' She closed her eyes envisioning them playing together as she rested her head against his chest. 'If no word or sound should tell others of our love they will feel it through the music we will make.' Now she knew of the euphoria he felt for she felt it as well. Slowly she glanced up to him and smiled, overjoyed with thoughts of her new life with him.

Fabien smiled. “Perfect,” he said to her with a wide grin. He kissed her tenderly again. Oh! How beautiful she was! Every inch of her made him love her even more, every word she spoke, every time her beautiful eyes moved, every time they kissed his love for her grew larger. How, how could Fabien have the luck of finding such a beautiful woman that he could share all eternity with? Was it that fate had driven them together? He kissed her once more.
“Liv…”her name was so beautiful…. “Liv,” he said again. “Lets go out into the night. I feel the urge to feed, as it’s late into the night and I’ve yet to taste mortal blood filtering through my veins. And you, my love? Have you fed? You have not, I can tell by your color. Will you accompany me tonight on this hunt?” He kissed her again and held her hand, smiling at her lovingly. “After our hunt we shall return, and I shall begin to instruct you in music.”

Liv felt warm for the first time since she had been turned, her head felt so light and the slow beating of her heart quickened with her excitement. And with each soft kiss he laced upon her lips this occured. She heard him speak and she looked to him, listening to him whisper her name. Drawing nearer to him she closed her eyes listening to his softly spoken words.
She realized she had forgotten of her need for blood and in truth she didn't want to leave, not part with this moment. But blood was vital and knowing there would be more moments just as equally beautiful as this she spoke. 'You are right ... I have neglected my need ... Of course I shall accompany you.' she gave a soft smile, giving his hand a tender squeeze, and his cheek a gentle kiss.
