Title: Going On A Little Hunt
Description: Siegfried needs blood!
Shogo - November 23, 2004 12:29 AM (GMT)
The subway, truly a depository for some of Demaitre's lowest of scum. The dark, dank tunnels and platforms provided the perfect gathering ground for troublemakers, among other things, which is why Siegfried prefers to hunt here despite the risk of facing the Tarepha. He was never really for the feeding on the innocent and preferred to pick off the criminal population thug by thug. No one really cared for them, the many shadows made it easy to hide them, and it'd be very hard for any succesful investigations. Plus he hated them since they picked on the weak and hurt decent people. Two such thugs had isolated a woman this late night and were trying to rob her or rape her, more than likely both. Siegfried wasn't going to let this happen so he crept up behind them quietly, carefully plotting his first move. When he was close enough, he snatched up the nearest thug and disappeared into the shadows in the blink of an eye. The remaining thug tried calling out to his buddy, letting go of the woman and accidnetally letting her escape in the process. He was answered by the sickening sound of tearing flesh and breaking bones but before he could run away, Siegfried lashed out with his clawed glove and brought the thug down, pulling him into the shadows to feast upon his blood as well.

Sitting on the ledge of the subway staircase, Nevinino heard some screaming. It was coming from the platform below. Getting up he ran down to the platform. A frightened lady was running as fast as she could up the stairs. The screaming must've come from her. As he looked around, he saw no one there. He sensed something but couldnt see it. He sensed another vampire around. Walking over to one of the benches he sat down and sat waiting if something would happen, he would be there.

In a few moments, Siegfried left the shadows with some blood still clinging to his lips and the tips of the claws on his left glove. As he proceeded further from the safety of the shadows, helicked the blood that remained away having enjoyed feeding on the two thugs. He was very good at keeping clean after all the years of practice he's had, even keeping clean in mutilations like this one. The bodies would probally be found but he'd almost certainly remain free from any charges. To the rest of the world, at least when it comes to DNA records, fingerprints, etc... Siegfried didn't even exist. Only a witness could ever truly change this.
He would have immediately left the subway to return home were it not for one thing, he sensed something. Turning, he noticed someone seated at one of the benches and wondered how long they'd been sitting there. He could already tell it was a vampire and he certainly hoped it wasn't going to be from one of the covens, trying to persuade him to join them due to the threat his independence caused or just trying to attack him. He kept his gaze locked on the stranger and arched an eyebrow. "You are?"

He heard someone coming, he sensed that it was a vampire. As the vampire came into view he looked at Nevinino. He had asked who he was. Slowly he got up from the bench and walked over to the other vampire. " The names Nevinino" he said dully. " yours?" he asked curiously. Nevinino could make out what happened. This vampire must've been hunting. Foolish thing to do when the Tarepha are around. But this vampire had no need to be worried, Nevinino was an independent.

"Siegfried... though I dare not say it's a pleasure to meet you. If you are of a coven, such a simple thing could drag me into the trivial conflicts the other vampires seem to enjoy. Besides that, I've heard enough lectures on being part of a collective. Of course I really havn't given you much of a chance now, have I?" Siegfried looked the vampire that had approached him up and down, not really getting an air of covenhood from him but one could never be too careful. He'd heard tales of independents being destroyed for refusing to join a coven and he wasn't going to let something like that happen to him, especially not after he finally let someone in. Caution was key right now.

" I see, well you have nothing to worry about. Im an Independent. You shouldnt be here, the Tarepha would kill you for hunting on their territory" he said clearly his throat. There was no one else on the platform except him and Siegfried but, there was always a chance of another vampire looming around.
Shogo - November 24, 2004 10:46 PM (GMT)
"Let them come then. I'm no fledgling and I've been here since before this subway was claimed as their own. I don't care what is claimed as territory by what coven for I believe their rivalries to be ridiculous. But since you warned me, why are you here as well? You aren't hunting but it seems you're still hanging around a so called territory." Siegfried probally seemed pretty rude but little social contact and a distaste for many of his fellow vampires made one that way. Most vampires encountered in his existence were far too full of themselves and tried to appear as though they were better, making him wary of the very race he was a part of.

Nevinino listened intently as to what Siegfried said. Very interesting, this one is very strong. Has a good view on such matters as the covens and such he thought to himself. Siegfried did come off a bit rude but he understood why. " Your very much like me in many ways. The reason I'm here is because I've got a little business with one of the Tarepha members. And because I've been coming here because I can think clearly and easily here. I have no need to worry about coming across the Tarepha" he said clearly looking him dead in the eye.
Shogo - November 25, 2004 12:16 AM (GMT)
"You have no need to worry about coming across the Tarepha despite the fact that you have business with a member? Interesting.... so you're a strong vampire? I hear the Tarepha can be brutal but I wouldn't know, havn't had the pleasure of fighting one. Care to indulge my curious nature and tell me how old you are? I myself am around 321 years old, give or take a year." Siegfried normally would have left by now but this vampire, this Nevinino, hadn't done one thing to try and act as though he were some sort of superior being. Of course this could also be because of Floriana, the mortal he let get close to him and thus caused him to open up after almost three centuries of seclusion.

" Yes. I've been through a lot. I have no worries about them at all, I have no reason to be scared of them" he said defiantly. He thought that no vampire was superior to another. He treated everyone alike. No one was different. He slightly smiled at Siegfried, " Well you are older than I, I'm 64. Young but dont like the age fool you" he said. There was something different about this vampire. He was very wise, very smart. Had a very good mind set. Things that Nevinino respected greatly.

"I'm glad to hear that. I think it foolish for vampires to be afraid of each other when it'd be better if we could just look out for each other more often. Unfortunately, too many people let their egos guide them so that we're forced to remain seperate even when we form groups like the covens. Since you mentioned business with the Tarepha, I could stay here in case they show up. Better to have someone watching your back than to be alone." Siegfried wondered if the offer would be accepted and if there was a fight, he wanted to make sure this guy got through things. He thought it better to have more independents.
[x] - November 25, 2004 01:28 AM (GMT)
" Yes, I think it would be wise for all of us to be able to live together peacefully. But there is always people who let their egos get to big. I dislike those type of people. Many of them make me sick" he said nodding his head. Hearing Siegfrieds remark he smiled. This one would be a great friend. " Of course I would highly appreciate it. It's always good to have people with you when your tending to this sort of business" he said sighing. They should have more people like Siegfried. But its a shame very few vampires are like this.
Shogo - November 26, 2004 03:22 AM (GMT)
"Yes, and yet I actually have a job in this city where many of my clients have inflated egos. I do some art dealing and that means snooty rich people, but I have to have some reason to own a home." Looking around the subway, just to see if they were still alone, Siegfried wondered about another thing many vampires seemed to have in common. "Hmm, so what do you think of mortals? The covens all have their own little credos but with independents like us....well, you know what I mean. I myself am a little fond of them because we were all human at some point in time. Some just seem to forget that."
[x] - November 26, 2004 04:30 PM (GMT)
He started to remember the time where he had owned a house here in Demaitre. Everything was peaceful between the landlord and him but one day he found out that Nevinino was a vampire. He immediately called the police and had him taken away. While being taken to the station he killed every policemen and women in the patroler. He smiled at remembering that. " I used to have my own home but, they found out what I was" he said. " The mortals, well I have nothing against them. It's just sometimes I'll get angry over the fact that they can live freely and still be what I want to be." He continued, " The covens to me are ok. Some of them are good and some are bad. I would never be in one but if others want to then that's fine with me"
Shogo - November 27, 2004 12:12 AM (GMT)
"Well, there are different versions of freedom. I've been like this longer than you and there are plenty of areas where I'm still not used to it. Once you figure things out, I'm sure you'll find your place. And the covens, sometimes I consider joining one. They may act dumb at times but there's still that safety in numbers concept. Of course until you get your bearings again, you could hang around my place. I own it and there are enough rooms to hold two or three families so it's not like you'd be a bother. You up for it?" Siegfried waited for a reply, wondering if any Tarepha would actually show. Whether or not they appeared, there's still a chance of having a friend.
[x] - November 27, 2004 04:16 PM (GMT)
He showed Shogo a small smile. " Yeah I'm up for that. I just want to thank you for your kindness for allowing me to stay at your home. I appreciate it greatly" he said warmly. Nevinino was happy he had met Shogo. He might become a great friend in the future.
Shogo - November 27, 2004 11:59 PM (GMT)
Siegfried smiled back some. "No reason to thank me at all. Us independents have gotta stick together cause we're our only true allies. We aren't usually popular with the covens and it's not like we can run to the humans. But since we're waiting, why not tell me about this business you have with the Tarepha. I'm actually a little surprised there's any business that doesn't involve someone being dismembered." Siegfried leaned against one of the supports and looked around, wondering how many hours of nightfall were left to them. It could be difficult figuring that part out in the dark tunnels of a subway.
[x] - November 28, 2004 04:20 PM (GMT)
Shogo was right. The independents had no one but themselves. They needed to stick together. Like a botherhood or something like that. Nevinino was searching for many members of the Tarepha especially Lypsia. He disliked Lypsia with passion. When he met her she was annoying as hell and she showed no respect to anyone else. " Well I have many problems with the Tarepha. Some of its members have no respect for others and that is why I plan on killing many of the members. Especially Lypsia shes a paid in the ass. The most immature vampiress I've come across so far" he said.

(Sorry for delay and this crap post)
Siegfried chuckled softly at what Nevinino had to say. "Heh, the Tarepha do tend to be disrespectful though I'm not too sure if they're the coven that thinks they're better than everyone else or not. Though I don't think I've ever felt I've been disrespected to the point I felt murder was neccasary. This Lipsia must be something else to have made you despise her so much.
