Title: Midnight Viewing
Nafretiri - September 24, 2004 05:33 AM (GMT)
It was a very handsome night, he realized. The windows into the main area of the building showed but glimpses of the dark exterior. The effect was somewhat ruined by the infernal orange lights that mortals deemed necessary to put everywhere. Night was not supposed to be a time of orange, it was supposed to be a time of dark tones, such as navy blue, royal violet, and of course, black. Orange ruined the entire picture that night painted in his head, and make him frown.
The room smelled entirely of butter. Few mortals were lined up to buy the many snacks that the movie place offered. He, for obvious reasons, was not among them. The people in line would make a much better snack to him than what they were buying, but now was neither the time nor the place for such things. He smiled at his companion, Elysium. He was glad to be in this place, so long as his childe were here with him. Had he not been, Lucien was quite sure that he would never have set foot in this place. It was truly a place to come as a pair.
There was a quaint film playing by the name of Chocolat. The title was enough to tempt Lucien alone, but the story looked quite sweet, so he'd decided that that would be the best one for them to see. None of this much fighting movies, nor the horror ones. He supposed when you became one of the things that was focused on so often in the latter movies, they all lost their appeal. Such things could not harm him, and he'd learned not to jump at frightening things long ago.
There was a clock. It said that the movie was bound to begin in five minutes. He lay a hand on Elli's shoulder. "Shall we go, mon cher?"

Elysium had been quite suprised when the other offered to come to such a place. It was one thing to want to come, but to be offered by someone like Lucien was a whole nother story, so it was to be expected that the youth would agree to join him. He had always liked the movies. They had become more advanced since his time... but then one could never tell the human looking male was in his sixties. But his mind was not the mind of a sixty some odd year old. It was quite the opposite. He thought in modern terms, as modern times came along... and he was quite happy with the change on the views of gays. That made him very happy. He always thought Americans (well not just them) were to closed minded. Well anyway.....
Elysium had been admiring the lights, rather then despise them like his sire at his side. He liked their glow, and the neon lights that flashed in the front of the theatre. "Lovely..." The immortal purred quietly, "How did you book those seats so easily? I always heard it was damn hard to catch a spot that was open." He turned his hazel eyes toward Lucien, awaiting an answer, but the question from his lover's lips came first. "Ahh... yeah, thats fine. Lets go in and get comfortable." He answered, leaning lightly against the other. "You know, I should have known you'd pick something with a French name." He teased, following after.
The male paused as he looked at the line of people at the consession stand. "Want some pop-corn?" He offered, glancing toward the male... He had forgotten that unlike himself, his master didn't eat things.. however, Elysium still could, as long as it was in small amounts. He caught himself, chuckled, and shook his head. "Nevermind..."

Lucien smirked at his childe. It was a smirk that blatantly said, 'I know something you do not'. His eye twinkled merrily. "Elli, it is possible to attain anything if you work hard enough for it." This wasn't really an answer in the truest sense of the word. In reality, Lucien had only bribed one of the theatre workers into the reserving the seats for them, but his answer was much more dignified. Besides, Lucien had had to work hard collecting the money that he'd used to bribe the employee, so the advice wasn't a complete lie. It was merely a variation of the truth.
"Ah! You wound me," said Lucien in a jesting manner, complete with hand across his forhead. The smirk was back and as powerful as ever. "Can you blame me? I am a true Frenchman in a time where all loyalty to France has disappeared. It is simple to take the man out of France, but not so simple to take the France out of the man. Besides, my native tongue and accent are French. From the English movies I have seen, they have all given us barbaric English accents. I wish to see if this one is any different." If there was one thing that annoyed him, it was those mortals down in Hollywood ruining the image of his beloved France. English accents. Bah!
"You may have some of the infamous popcorn if you so wish Elli," said Lucien, turning around. "Just because I cannot have any, does not mean you should be deprived. I will not hold it against you, I promise." His eyes looked at his companion's face lovingly.
Ailes Cassées - September 24, 2004 09:35 PM (GMT)
Elysium murred at the other's answer, "Mhmm.... you're so damn sly, Lucien." He mumbled, teasingly. "But I'll leave you to your secrets, then." The immortal sighed casually, turning his eyes from his sire to their destination on occasion. "Ahh... a true frenchman for sure, monsieur... A true frenchman." He whispered in the other's ear, curling a long, limber arm about Lucien's waist, giving a small squeeze. In the shadows of the theatre, Elysium had seemed more of a spider then before, with his long legs, and arms. He was quite the character, for certain, as he clung to his sire.
"No.. no... No popcorn. Don't worry about it Lucien. Its not a problem." He relied, smiling, "I have you, and I think thats enough to snack on." He purred, a grin slowly curling.
Nafretiri - September 25, 2004 01:15 AM (GMT)
It seemed that this smirk could not be killed on this night. "Ah, yes, sly. That I am indeed," Lucien agreed contentedly. "And everyone should be entitled to their little secrets. If it makes no difference, it can hardly matter." There was a small frown there, as the man realized that he had just stated the obivious. There was a small shrug of the shoulder, but he didn't dwell on it. What's done is done. "I am glad you agree with me on that. It is quite true. If not for my impediments, I would have fought for France on many an occasion, but of course, it would be hard to explain my current state." A small chuckled escaped his throat. No, it would not have worked, especially if his regiment had been requested to ride at dawn. All that would be left of the dear, noble Frenchman, Monsieur D'Avoine, would be a big pile of ashes.
Lucien's own smirk grew larger as he heard the innuendo said by his companion. Looking at him through the corner of his eye, Lucien wrapped his arm around Elli's shoulders. "My, that sounds positively delightful. I am glad I am worth more than some mortal food."

He took hold of the male, and purred, standing just a few inches taller then his immortal sire. "So... Lucien..." The male eased, "Where is this place? It always seems like this place is so small... and yet, look at how far we must walk." He was only joking of course, with his little mock pout. But, Elysium smiled firmly afterwards, giving his lover a small squeeze. He really couldn't wait. It had been decades since he had seen a movie last, or at least, seen a movie at the theatres anyway. And to be with someone he loved, well that made it all the more interesting.
"Oh yes..." Elysium commented, a sly little grin on his lips. "I have certain tastes... and I'd rather be nibbling on your, rather then some popcorn, anyway." He whispered, before a laugh quietly followed, while he leaned against the other male, his chest rumbling happily.

"My dear, I am sure it is not much further," comforted Lucien with a pat of his hand. Two teenage girls walked by, looking at them and giggling. The blonde could think of a few reasons why they would be doing such a thing, but prefered not to dwell on it. The movie poster showed the pictures of Chocolat. "You see, here we are." He led the younger of the two into the darkness of the large theater, wary of the steps. On the huge screen, the usual pre-movie trivia was playing. With careful steps, he led Elli to their special reserved seating. Lucien made sure that he was sitting to the left of Elysium so that the other would not interfere with his view of the screen. Having only one eye led to some difficulties in the matter of viewing such things. Still, he snuggled blissfully with Elli on the right.
Lucien chuckled. "I'd rather you'd be nibbling on me rather than some popcorn as well. I believe it would be much more enjoyable for the both of us."
Ailes Cassées - September 25, 2004 01:57 AM (GMT)
He followed Lucien blissfully, trotting along side of his master. He saw the girls, and chuckled quietly. "Why do people do that, Lucien?" He asked, nuzzling at the other's shoulder as they went. "Are we funny? I don't understand..." He added as they sat, his eyes turning toward the screen. He grabbed at the male's hand, holding it in his own. He waited for an answer, while the other began to nuzzle. "I don't get people today... I mean, I do... But I don't understand them." He sighed, glancing toward the male that generally couldn't see him.
Another sigh, and he leaned over, resting his head on the male's shoulder, hands curled around the other's waist. "I hope this is going to be a good movie.... " Elli purred, snuggling close in the fancy seats they had gotten.
Nafretiri - September 25, 2004 04:11 AM (GMT)
"I do not know, mon cher," replied Lucien honestly, holding Elli closer. "They have not yet reached the age of maturity to understand that love does not care what is on the outside." This was quite true, although it was much better than when he had been alive. Back then, such matters were wholly against the church and everything else that they could be against. "They are beyond my comprehension as well." Truthfully, he had never known much about the human psyche, and it hadn't improved with age.
As Elli cuddled with him, Lucien smirked at his words. "It is based in France. It is bound to be good."
((OOC: Ack, short. Much apologies.))
Ailes Cassées - September 25, 2004 04:30 AM (GMT)
Elli had sighed. Those girls were bothering him. Why did they do that? I understood what his sire said, but was it still justified? Were they that snickerable? It made him feel wrotten. He nuzzled into his sire's neck, curled up around him. "Well I don't think its right at all." He murred sternly, his eyes focused on the screen as random things were displayed. His fingertips prickled the other's side, tapping, and teasing lightly as they relaxed in their private box. "This is nice....... I like it." He whispered, taking note as the lights dimmed.
"Oh yes.... anything based in France is bound to be good." He mimiced, chuckling quietly. "You're so patriotic for your country, Lucien... Its funny, considering you no longer reside there." He added, pressing a few soft little kisses against his sire's neck.
Nafretiri - September 25, 2004 05:06 AM (GMT)
Lucien merely raised an eyebrow at Elli's statement. His childe could be so incredibly innocent and childlike at times. It was quite endearing. "Nor do I, but unfortunately, there is little to be done." Well, they could kill the two girls, but Lucien highly doubted that Elli would go for that, being of the Enashe and all. Besides, if anything, it might make matters worse if the reason for the killing was ever discovered. No, he did not want to do it either. The two of them would merely have to suffer through it. The movie was sure to provide a good distraction to the girls. If he'd had the power of telepathy, Lucien would have changed their minds by force, but of course, he did not, and therefore could not.
"I like it as well," stated Lucien, smiling. "I have not gone to many movies in my time." Considering he had been born long before movies, this was understandable. "I am patriotic. Someone has to be. As for not living there... well, my affections lie there. Or, a small portion of them at least. The rest reside with you." He placed a kiss on Elli's forehead.
Ailes Cassées - September 25, 2004 05:18 AM (GMT)
Elysium idly leaned, nuzzling, nibbling, loving on his sire as he waited for the movie to begin. More previews... well at least these were of upcoming movies. Those were always the best, to get a little clip of a movie you've heard about, and wish to see. He liked them. All of them, most of the time, even the overly excessive violent ones. He liked all kinds of movies, because most of the time, they were fiction, but the ones that weren't were the ones that made him angry. Like those about murders, it made him wish that he had gotten to that very murderer longer before. Anyway...
His sires comment made him smile. "Oooh Lucien!" He purred, turning the other's face his way, pressing a firm kiss to Lucien's lips. "Mmmm.... You're so damn sweet at times.... I love it." He whispered, clinging to the other adoringly.
Nafretiri - September 27, 2004 12:05 AM (GMT)
To say that sitting here with his childe (instead of doing whatever else he might be doing) was fun would be an understatement. Lucien traced loving caresses along Elli's face and chest. It was definitely not the most appropriate conduct for the movie place, but that hardly concerned him now. If the mortals got angry, they could come and tell him so... at their own risk. No, he wouldn't do anything major in front of all the other little mortals, but even without resorting to violence, Lucien could be a mighty opponent. It boosted his ego just a tad. On the screen, the movie began, and he found his attention almost immediately fixed upon it, until Elli decided to distract him.
He returned the kiss affectionately. "I am glad you like my sweet nothings. I have not said them to anyone else - or to anyone that I had truly meant it save you - and I fear I might be rather bad at it... hard to believe, but the thought was there.
Ailes Cassées - September 27, 2004 10:36 PM (GMT)
Elysium shivered innocently, and smiled, his cheeks catching a small blush, a purr bubbling excitedly from him. "Nnnnn.... Lucien..." The male whispered, squirming under the touch as the movie started. "We're going to get in trouble." He teased, smiling as he leaned over, resting his head on his sire's shoulder. He turned his attention toward the screen, watching the red cape draped over a woman and her child wave rapidly in the fighting wind. "Oooh." He purred, nodding his approval. "I like this already," He thought aloud, giving Lucien's arm a small squeeze as he held onto it. Turning his eyes bashfully toward his lover, he blushed again, giving a simple nod, "Of course I like it... it means you love me, no matter how bad at it you say you might be." He laughed quietly, nuzzling into the older male's shoulder. "But I do like them, Lucien..... I do." He whispered sincerely, leaning to press a light kiss to his master's jaw.
