Title: No Evil For You

While the sewers might not be the place of Kings - or in this case, Queens - Nyx still loved them. They had an air of intrigue to them. What other coven had territory that spanned the entire area of Demaitre? None. They all had their little coven houses in old crypts or whatever the hell they used, but none of them had the sheer mobility that the sewers offered those of her coven. In reality, Nyx had the largest territory of all, and it made her smirk at the thought. The other coven leaders didn't even seem to realized.

Her own chambers were an abbandoned room of some sort. She didn't know why the fuck humans would need a room in a sewer system, but there you go. Another strike on behalf of human intelligence. It was furnished all in black leather, Nyx's favourite. Everything was black, and she liked it. There was a door at the back leading off into what Nyx liked to call 'The Dungeon'. If one listened carefully, the faint sounds of sobbing and screaming could be heard. Nyx called it music to her ears. To the Tarepha, she was sure they thought the same way. They came in here to discuss things with her, and she rarely got overly angry.

It was on this night that Nyx decided to have a little fun with a virgin she'd lured in. Oh, she wouldn't kill her, or, at least not yet. That would ruin half the fun. Tying the girl to the bedposts of the canopy bed that she'd stolen once upon a time, Nyx straddled her with a malicious smile. Threading a needle with red thread, she took the girl's lips and sewed them shut, having to stop once in a while to back hand the girl for moving. With the lips done, Nyx moved on to the eyes. They were sewn shut next, blood running down the young face like crimson tears.

Now, the ears were going to be tricky. Taking the lobe, she brought it up to the cartilage, and in with one movement, she'd pierced all the way through. It was tricky, but she managed to get it done. Moving off the girl, Nyx took on a motherly face. She wiped some hair out of the girl's face. "I've done this all for your own good sweetie. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Now, you'll stay innocent."

Jumping off the bed in a giddy manner, Nyx went to a small fridge she kept and took out a pitcher of blood. Pouring some into a wine glass, she added vodka and plopped down in one of the chairs that dotted the room. There was a relaxed smile on her face as she downed her first sip.

Sewers, as useful and safe as they can be to the undead, were still the fucking sewers. The heightened sense of smell all vampires acquire didn’t help, although less important smells were often ignored. Being subjected to the sweltering and fetid atmosphere of the pipelines only added the cherry on the sundae that was a vampire’s anti-existence. Or at least this vampire’s.

Oringo walked like he had a purpose, and often he did, but now it was just instinct compelling him on his way. Blood was laced through the air, the smell filling his lungs and head. He followed it, not knowing what would turn up but always hoping for the worst. His leather pants, which he wore most of the time, deflected the water his black boots sloshed through. His ebony skin shone in the small amount of light that was given. Oringo was one of the luckiest vampires…Having dark skin let him wander hungry if he so chose, not worrying about looking dove-feather white. Although in some lights his skin took on an unnatural sheen, it was nothing compared to what most blood-eaters experienced. He turned sharply, the blood scent meeting at a point through a door.

He smiled, all fangs and hunger. He opened the door, the smile still over his lips. What he found, though, disappointed him slightly…A scrawny girl tied to a bed, blood leaking down her face…How overdone.

Nyx heard someone coming before she saw anyone. It wasn't hard with all the water that was in the sewers. It had to be one of her vampires. If it wasn't... well, they would not have a fun last few moments. Straightening up in her chair, she crossed her legs, making the leather of her skirt crinkle slightly. Sipping her drink, she smiled, and it looked welcoming, save for the small suspicious glint in her eyes.

But she was not disappointed. The vampire in question was indeed of her coven. While she didn't know his name, she'd seen him around. Green eyes looked him over critically, before deciding that he was very worthy. A sly smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. He was one of the few dark skinned vampires in this city, and that made Nyx see him as exotic. Flipping some hair out of her face, she gave him a look of pure confidence.

"Is there something I can help you with darling?" she asked, mixing her drink with her finger. Withdrawing said finger, she sucked the concoction off. Her gaze followed his, coming to rest on her latest game. "Oh, nevermind her. She's done for now. I may think of something interesting to do with her later." There was a shrug, as if she didn't really care - which of course, was the truth - before she turned back to her visitor.

“Yes, I think there is,” His voice was a deathly deep baritone, and it wrapped around words like a snake around prey. His eyes, which were outline in black, rested for a moment on the innocent-looking leader and then on the truly innocent victim. He tilted his head to the side, his smile quieting, but not leaving. “You’re driving me mad with that smell, gorgeous, and if it isn’t stopped it’ll ruin my rhythm.” On every fourth day. Only the fourth after careful stalking. He loved planning cruelty, like when he took out the father he took out the rest of them, just for kicks. Hell they were all going to die someday, and at whose hands would it be better? His or their God’s? The way Oringo saw it, his hands were infinitely more powerful and much more deserving.

He stepped further in the room, not even bothering to look over his surroundings. He knew well enough where things were. He stared at the leader of his coven, his gaze not holding respect but not contempt either.

Nyx hadn't yet decided if she liked this one. "Oh, your rhythm," said Nyx sagely, nodding her head. In reality, she had no idea what he was talking about, and didn't really care. Her coven members were allowed to do what they wished, withing reason. What they couldn't do was very little. Nyx believed in having fun, and she wanted all those in her coven to enjoy what she did, though perhaps not in the same way. To each their own, she supposed.

"Well, you see, we have a bit of a dilemma then," she continued, her look that of sympathy. "Because in order to get rid of the smell, I'd have to bring her back down to join my other pets. That would involve untying her and dragging her down there. Frankly, I'm not sure I want to do that. I enjoy looking at my work." Her smile was friendly, and she didn't look annoyed in the least.

That didn't mean she wasn't annoyed, for she was, especially in his lack of respect. There were always those who thought they were above the leader. It irked her to no end, but she said nothing, keeping her friendly disposition.

Leaning forward, she raised an eyebrow. "Give me a very good reason why I should do it, and I just might." Oh yes, everything was always a trade with Nyx.

Trading was one of the things Oringo did best. It was his choice and his tradition that on the fourth night, when his hunger peaked, he would feed on a chosen victim. Well...Perhaps that is a slight exaggeration...It didn't always have to be chosen. He straightened, and held his hands together infront of him. He could almost look holy, if his eyes didn't look so empty.

"You may keep her there as long as you wish," He explained, faint accent shining through the consonants, "But if you got rid of the blood...I would be grateful." The hunger rose in him, spiking like painful pleasure. "I will bring you a gift, in exchange. Anything you want." What was there that his leader could possibly want and not get herself? Probably nothing, but no doubt she didn't always feel like getting these things herself. He smiled, instinctively careful not to bare his fangs in a challenging way.

Nyx set down her glass and crossed her arms, looking at him suspiciously. She raised an eyebrow. Is that all he wanted? Why, that was simple. Much simpler than she'd thought it would be. Still, she didn't understand why he didn't just eat the girl, and damn his rhythm. It was obvious that he wanted her, and Nyx wouldn't stand in the way of one of her coven members' hunger, even if it meant ruining a perfectly good torture. However, if all he wanted was for her to clean it up, she could do that.

"Alright," Nyx conceded, standing up. She grabbed a handkerchief off a table and knelt before the bed. With the touch of a mother on a newborn babe, she carefully cleaned away all the blood until the skin of the girl was once again smooth. That didn't mean it wouldn't start bleeding again, for it just might, but she'd done her end of the deal. Throwing the piece of cloth into a wastebasket, she sat down again with the grace of a great predator.

Now, what was she going to ask for? A good question. There were so many things that she could have by her own means, but if he was going to attain it for her, she'd have to pick something very good, that would be a bit harder for her to get than other things. A smile crossed her face. "I want you to find me a pendant that matches my eyes, but that is unique in all aspects." It was a petty request, but Nyx was after all a woman. Such things appealed to her sense of vanity.
