Title: Celebration And Contemplation
Description: After a spot of business...
Ailes Cassées - September 7, 2004 03:33 AM (GMT)
Elysium had succeeded in triumphantly placing a tie between the ancestory of one dynasty to another, which would be of useful information to any museum, giving them a lead on what to search for. Though, Elysium was a bit upset that this was the only museum around. He could have done better, if he had been able to submit it to a more well known Society, and probably would have gotten payed more. Well, despite that turmoil, Elli succeeded in getting his money, and the assurance that the information would be used. That also included an offer from the Museum, an offer that stated any other information Elysium could come up with, would be taken immediately, if this first lead was indeed of truth. Well, he had no worries about that, since he was quite certain of himself. With a nice amount of money in his pocket, and a sigh on his lips, the immortal decided that a walk about the little place would be nice.
He loved art. Had not the hand for it, but he loved it just the same. And those useful little bits of information that never really came in handy unless you were on some kind of game show, he loved those too. With every painting, he would pause, and tilt his head to the side, contemplating what the artist might see if he saw his own work. What was the meaning, and the purpose for such a piece? All of this was facinating to him, and made him quite giddy. In all his happiness, he had forgotten to inform Lucien of his plans, which had slipped his mind as soon as he had left the apartment, but it didn't bother him. However, he had a figure that Lucien would know where to find him. "Hmmm..." He paused at a random piece of abstract art, liking the little snow flakes that dotted a rather warm looking surrounding, with the sun high in the sky. "The things people do think of, non?"
"Oh, well oiled, beautiful aspects..." He commented, crossing his arms over his chest, a few rich chocolate locks falling before his hazel eyes. "Wish I could do something like that... the sheets look almost real. And the body... almost touchable, with such soft skin." He whispered, speaking with himself as he admired said portrait. "Truely a talented artist..."

Lucien had woken up and found that Elli was not there. It disturbed him for a moment, until he remembered his childe's obsession with the Chinese dynasty something or other. Now that he was all rested, the man had probably skipped off to the museum, findings in hand and that happy smile on his face that he got when he was working, or making a discovering, or anything else that was even remotely related. So, rolling his eyes, the vampire had gotten dressed, rather expensively too, and had walked to the only museum in the vicinity, ornate cane in hand.
His shiny black shoes clicked loudly on the floor, the sound echoing through the almost empty museum. While looking for his childe, he stopped a few times to admire the scenery, or contemplate over an abstract piece of work. Unfortunately, this gallery had nothing to the Louvre. Lucien remembered that gallery well. It had to be one of the few places in the world he was enamored of. The paintings of the great artists hung there, and he would study them for hours, remarking a certain brush stroke, or marveling over the use of color. Yes, it had been quite an experience.
Finally catching sight of Elli, he came up behind him silently and regarded the painting with a critical eye. He smiled, hearing the whispers of the painting. It was very well done, that was obvious. "I believe you are right, mon cher. It is very good." He placed a comforting hand on Elli's shoulder, smiling softly.
Ailes Cassées - September 7, 2004 04:05 AM (GMT)
Elli had found himself staring at the painting, deep in though. This one struck up certain feelings in him, like a conductor strikes up a band. The color was vivid, the detail was masterful, so much so that to his vampiric eyes, he wanted to envelope the being encased within the cheaply painted gold frame. How beautiful he thought, to be able to create such a thing as that. Idly he touched the velvet rope that kept viewers at bay from getting to close. Subconciously he was touching the painting, as he moved the hand over the red velvet, imagining the sheets beneath his hand.
"Amazing..." He was utterly encased by the painting, feeling rather drawn to it. "Ohh.... I wish I had such things, to hand up.. and enjoy." He whispered, licking at his lips. His eyes followed the fine lines that made up the scantly covered body, while rinkled sheets covered certain areas from view, and the delicate fingers that held it up. The woman, with her wild red hair, curling against her bear skin, was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. It was the center of his attention, for certain, though the minor details began to soak in on him, as he noted the paintings adoring the walls of her room, behind the four poster bed, with its silk drapery.
He leapt almost out of his skin as he heard the voice, turning swiftly in a jump. He gave a look of confusing, and nervousness, as if he would bolt for the exit, or pounce the intruder. He paused, his breathing caught in his chest. "Oooh!" He whined in a frustrated tone. "Good Lord, Lucien! I scare easy... please don't do that..." He grumbled, resting his hand atop that which was placed upon his shoulder.
Nafretiri - September 7, 2004 05:12 AM (GMT)
"I am sorry, mon cher, I did not mean to," apologized Lucien, using his thumb to stroke the hand on top of his. "Though, if I may say, you were so taken with this painting that it would have been almost impossible not to 'sneak up'." He looked up at the painting. "I do, however, see your reason for liking it so."
The painting was indeed beautiful. The use of color made it very lifelike; almost like looking into a window. The woman in question was beautiful, though she could have been any woman who would pose. The color though, it made her so much more. It gave her an aura that would make her immortal in the painting. Lucien wondered who she was, and what her story was. More importantly, he wondered about the artist. What kind of person would it take to make such a thing? He was most certain that the artist would have had valuable things to share.
Glancing between his childe and the painting, he chuckled. "It would appear that I have some competition for your affections. Perhaps I should leave the two of you alone?" This was said in a teasing manner, but Lucien would leave if that was what Elli wanted. There were plenty more paintings he could look at... He just hoped it didn't come to that.
Ailes Cassées - September 7, 2004 05:23 AM (GMT)
Elli sighed lightly, turning his attention from his new lover, back to the painting. "Yes.... It is.... very wonderful. Look at all the detail the artist put into it. Its hard not to admire it." He whispered, stuffing his free hand into his pants pocket. "Hnnn.... I'm sorry I left without telling you this morning, love..." He whispered, almost loosing his train of thought as he eyed the painting further.
His thoughts matched Lucien's as he imagined the artist. For some reason, he could imagine an older man, sitting infront of a blank canvas, looking at such a beauty... even if the woman he had in mind was not beautiful at all. That was the magnificence of painting. One could take a deformed being, place them in a disgusting setting, and make it something of beauty by taking the beauty from within. He loved the thought of it... "Lucien...." He paused, touching the other's hand further, feeling the fingers against his own. "Would you paint how you see me, on the inside?" He questioned, just curious as he looked to the older male.
His cheeks suddenly reddened in a rosey blush, as he heard what the other said. "Oh, Lucien..... I don't think a painting could ever do what you do to me." He teased, leaning forward to press an adoring kiss against the vampire's lips. "So... Don't be silly...I like you here with me." He added, giving Lucien's hand a squeeze.
Nafretiri - September 7, 2004 09:40 PM (GMT)
Lucien smiled softly. "It's alright. It wasn't hard to deduce where you would be. After all the time you spent on that infernal project - not feeding, not sleeping - it was obvious that you'd want to hand it in. It appears I was right. Don't worry, it is already forgotten."
He heard Elli's question and thought about it. Anything Elli wanted, Lucien would give, and he opened his mouth to say that yes, he would, but then stopped. He looked at the man next to him - really looked. He was so many things to the Frenchman. "I shall try," said Lucien at last, a small frown. "But there are so many qualities to you that I doubt I could capture your true self. I envy him," Lucien nodded to the painting, thus signifying the artist, "for he seems to have a simple model, and with that model, he can do miraculous things. Me though, I have an exquisite model, and I do not know if I can capture the miracle that he is."
When he heard what was said next, and saw the blush, he chuckled again. "I should hope not. It would deflate my pride quite a bit in that respect." He replied to the kiss softly. "I will always be with you if you want me, mon amour."
Ailes Cassées - September 7, 2004 11:41 PM (GMT)
"Oh, I think you could do it, love." He protested, a smile on his dark lips. "You have great talent in what you do, Lucien, as I have great talent in what I do. I believe you captured a perfect portrait of me, in the last painting." He whispered, turning away from the painting, to view another. Subconciously, it was a way to prove to his sire that, Elli indeed cared more for him then any material object.
The immortal paused, turned, and looked at his sire eye to eye. An obvious giddiness fluttering about like mating butterflies, with enthusiastic quickness, in his hazel eyes. "So I turned in my work, and I was payed for it. That means I could go and buy some new cloths... or... something I need, or don't need for that matter. After all, I don't need anything pretty to look at, since I have you." He mused, clapping his hands together. "And the head of the department said that if the information was infact truth, they'd give me a possition as a detective. Isn't that wonderful? I think so..." He purred, brushing a hand through his thick curls. "And I told them I work nights only.... they understood, since I gave them some story about how I work nights now, and the change would be to difficult." He added, trotting along as he looked at the other works, enjoying the organised and disorganised beauty.
The younger of the two sighed happily, in a rather gay manner as he skipped along, his hands in his pockets, his curls bouncing....like some happy, energized school girl.
Nafretiri - September 8, 2004 03:53 AM (GMT)
"I think you put much too much faith in me Elli," said Lucien. "Compare to this man," he gestured to the painting, again signifying the artist, "I am merely an amateur. He captures real emotion in his paintings, whereas mine are simply recreations of living things." He smiled a bit sadly, but didn't let it overwhelm him. "But if you wish me to do it, I shall do it, and just because you asked."
Lucien regarded his child sternly, as a parent might. "You don't need to spend all of your well earned money. I have quite enough for the both of us. Things like that tend to happen when one is as old as I am. Save it, and buy something that you would really want in the future." Letting out a burst of laughter, the elder shook his head. "I believe you are the pretty one in this duo, though I'll admit, I am not hard on the eyes. Many a woman has swooned over me." He paused. "Of course, this was after I was made into what I am. Before, I barely got a second glance. Ironic."
Speeding up so that he could catch up with the happy-go-lucky vampire, Lucien's shoes started clicking on the floor at a furious pace, echoing through the large building, and making it seem all the more ominous.
Ailes Cassées - September 8, 2004 04:22 AM (GMT)
"My faith is in you, Lucien... Its not that I put to much in you... Its that you have it all. I trust you, and love you, and adore you to death." He chuckled, a large grin curling upon his lips. "I think you can do it, my love.... You have the talent, and the capability. If I could paint, I would, but I can't." He giggled, giving a small shrug, "But I'm good at other things." He added, backing it up with a firm nod. Elysium paused, and he turned his attention toward the immortal, his dark hazel eyes blinking at the stern-ness of his sire's voice. "But.. I want to work for my money, Lucien. I always have. I don't think I would feel right, spending yours." He whispered, pressing both his forefingers together, his eyes upon them in an embarassed fashion. Though, suddenly, the younger of the two frowned, "Oh you're to hard on yourself." It was his turn to scold the other, "You are quite the looker if I do say so myself." He murred, licking at his lips idly. "And I am quite sure you were very handsome before you were changed. I wish I could have seen you then." He sighed, grabbing at Lucien's arm, hugging it to his chest.
He released the arm as he moved, still trotting quite happily, though slowed when he heard Lucien's hurried steps to keep up. A smile curled, and he turned, walking backwards, as he once again grabbed Lucien's hand, kissing his sire's palm. "Mmmm....I like it here. Its nice. And I'm glad you're here with me, to enjoy it."
Nafretiri - September 8, 2004 04:32 AM (GMT)
"Like I said, dear Elli, I will try, but I can make no promises. It is only in the latter part of my existance that I have started to paint with great fevor. I still have a long way to go until I am considered one of the masters," said Lucien. What he didn't say was that that was his new found dream. He didn't know why, but he felt like keeping it to himself for the moment. He sighed, giving Elysium an exhasperated look. "What is mine is yours. How many times must I say this before it sinks in? All that I possess you are entitled to as well. Do not feel bad. Married couples share the same money! I do not see why it should be any different in our case... save for the fact that we are not married. By all other accounts though, we are the same."
He chuckled. "In my life, I was considered a servant. To tell you the truth, I looked much the same as I do now, only my skin was darker, as were my eyes, and until my sixteenth year, I did not possess this infernal eye." He pointed to it to accentuate his point, but there was no bitterness in it this time, only mere annoyance. It was replaced with a complete happiness when he was kissed on the palm. "I am glad I am here with you as well. Next time, we should visit La Louvre."
Ailes Cassées - September 8, 2004 04:53 AM (GMT)
Elysium gave an overdramatic sigh as he listened to the male, finding it all a pile of nonsense. Elli knew damn well that Lucien was being modest, since he had seen proof in the painting that his sire had done. "Yes, yes... I know Lucien... What's yours is mine, and vice-" He stopped as he heard the rest, an eyebrow lifting high upon his forehead. "Did you just compair us to a married couple?" He questioned, rather suprised. "Dear, Lucien..." He blushed, "I didn't think you felt that way." He teased, poking innocently at the other's chest with his forefinger. He stopped, standing infront of the other, resting his hand upon his sire's chest. A smile, slow and creeping, rolled over his lips, and he leaned forward, capturing a small kiss against his lover's lips, before sucking lightly at Lucien's bottom lip. All this was a quick action, rather teasing to say the least, as he pulled away in a swift movement, and went back to his trotting. "So cute..." He sighed, laughing.
"Ooh..." He purred, glancing over his shoulder for only a moment, " I don't think I can imagine you with darker skin... " When the eye was mentioned, Elysium scoffed, finding that his sire's eye never had disgusted him in anyway. "Lucien, Lucien, Lucien...Tsk Tsk Tsk....." Oh! La Louvre! He turned quickly on his heels, eyes wide and bright, "You mean it?! You'd take me there?!"
Nafretiri - September 8, 2004 05:07 AM (GMT)
"Don't sigh at me!" huffed Lucien, before melting into a smile. He felt like he wished to blush, but did not. He had learned to control that particular feature long ago, like a signal light on a car. "Well, I have made my feelings known now, and I do not regret it, indeed I do not. You should know that I don't say things lightly, though I seem to be -" He was cut off as Elli kissed him, and he growled slightly when his lower lip was nibbled on, though not out of anger, rest assured. He did not like the title 'cute' though. "No Elli. You forget, I am a devilish fiend. This cute is not a word that goes well with this title. A devilish fiend is simply that, and while he can be handsome, beautiful even, there is no room for this word. Cute." He said it like it were a nasty, filty word.
"Well..." teased Lucien. "I might be inclined, but it might require some bribes." He grabbed Elli's arm and pulled him back, holding him close. With one hand, he titled up Elli's head and placed a soft kiss on the rosy lips. Smiling into the kiss, he said, "I think I would be able to bring you along, considering I'd be going there myself anyways."
Ailes Cassées - September 8, 2004 05:19 AM (GMT)
Elysium smiled, grinning broadly at his little kiss that he had accomplished. "I'm sorry, you were saying something?" He teased further, giggling lightly as he ran his fingers through his own rich chocolate locks. "Mmmm... Well it's good to know that you feel such a way." He said this sternly, though quite happy about it. He had just begun admiring a sculpture, when he heard his sire rant about the word in question, known as something associated with fluffy. "Well to damn bad, Lucien.......You can be very cute, even with your devilish shelf." He whispered, pressing a second kiss. He had only just pulled away before he was snagged back, and a third his was planted his way. "Ooooh..." He purred, curling his arms about his sire's neck. "You're to kind, my Lucien." Here came the purr, since it was expected after all. "And why, my dear, are you going to La Louvre in the first place?" He asked curiously, a relaxed expression on his delicate features.
"Are you going to sell a few paintings? Or.. perhaps... look for something to inspire you?" Random guesses, but he was justified more or less. He kept his arms firm around his sire, a unbreakable grasp, as he relaxed against Lucien's chest. "Anyway.....it'll be wonderful, for certain." He agreed, fingertips brushing against the back of his lover's neck.
Nafretiri - September 15, 2004 11:18 PM (GMT)
"I do feel such a way," said Lucien sincerely. "And though I haven't always, I have wanted to be with you for eternity since I first saw you. You called to me, in a way deeper than physical attraction." He brushed some of Elli's locks out of his face, running his hand down the smooth skin until the curve of the cheek was sitting in his palm. There were tingles on his hand where it touched, and the elder liked it. He liked all the interaction that was done with his childe, whether it be simply walking next to each other or being intimate as they had been last night. To know that he was with Elli after waiting so long was pure ecstacy.
"As for the Louvre, I like to go back every once in a while," said Lucien offhandedly. "I like to look at the paintings and think about what went on in the artist's mind when he was painting. It's a selfish joy that I have kept to myself for far too long. Now, I would like you to join me and reflect with me." He wrapped his arms around the body that was against his own and placed several soft kisses on the beautiful face before him.
Ailes Cassées - September 16, 2004 01:30 AM (GMT)
"Oh love.." He cooed, smiling, "You know... it makes me feel a bit better to know that you'd been searching for me. I hadn't realized I met so much to you.... Though, I suppose, during those times it wouldn't have ment much of a difference. But times have changed." He reminded the elder male, fingertips curled about the back of Lucien's neck, his body pressed a bit against his sire's, even moreso as the arms embraced him. "You have changed...... I was a bit suprised to see that when we first met up again. I was a bit cautious of you, but then I had a right to be." He paused, pressing a kiss to reassure his love for his master, before he continued on, "I hadn't been expecting to see you.. and I thought I was doing a good job of keeping hidden. But I see, you ended up finding me anyway."
He dropped off the other, clasing his hands behind his back as he leaned forward to press another kiss against Lucien's cheek before strolling on past numerous statues and paintings, enjoying the color, and on occasion, the lack of color. "I like that black and white one..." He whispered, finding the abstract shapes facinating. Though something else suddenly struck him, and subtly he smiled. "Then..... I would be honored to come with you to La Louvre, Lucien... It would be my pleasure."
Nafretiri - September 16, 2004 03:00 AM (GMT)
"I regret what I did back then, but I had no idea I was even doing it," admitted Lucien. He hated himself for doing something that had been done to him. He knew full well what it felt like to be paraded around, though if he had done any such thing - and he believe Elli when the other said he did - it wasn't done with the intent of harming his childe in any way. "I am glad that we are together now, but for the record, you were well hidden. That's why it took me so long to locate you, other than the fact that I supposed you needed a little time and the fact that I thought that I could get over you. We can both see how well that turned out." The elder chuckled.
"I am glad you have accepted," smiled Lucien. He walked up beside his childe, moving some of his long hair out of his face. "Come, let us explore the rest of this gallery. I feel we may be pleasantly surprised by some of the things we find."
((OOC: Ack... so... short. Dammit. >_<))
Ailes Cassées - September 17, 2004 05:03 PM (GMT)
"I know you do, love." The immortal purred, turning to his master as he ran a finger lightly over Lucien's lips. "Don't worry about it anymore... Its all in the past isn't it? So lets forget about that. It seems we have a much better future, now... Don't we?" A purred answered, and he embraced the male before him, before turning back around, though carefully scooping up his sire's hand. Well, anyway, he felt his sire's words were true, an honest though only time would completely obliderate the caution still lingering in his mind. But at the moment, that was the last thing on Elysiums mind... his first thoughts? ~I'm going to La Louvre! I'm going to La Louvre!~ Chanting this over and over again to himself, while squeezing Lucien's hand.
"Of course I would accept!" He grinned, "It'll be fun, I'm quite sure." To his amusement, he trotted along side of his master, looking at all of the random art work with a keen eye, and a thirst for something more interesting then his lover beside him, which was quite the little distraction.
