Title: Alone
Description: ...and thinking of her...

Syaoran - August 26, 2004 09:33 AM (GMT)
Why do I bother anymore? I try not to think about her...but my mind just will not let me be.Frustrated with himself, Syaoran sighed. He thought he would get some peace by coming here...by going anywhere that was quiet. But still his thoughts would never lay still. Pushing back, leaning more on the dust covered wall behind him, he sighed again.
God, what is wrong with you? That was just over a thousand years ago...
"One thousand and fifty six years..." A voice whispered in his head..."eleven months, ten weeks, six days, twenty minutes and fourteen seconds..." It concluded.
Joy. He thought...he was counting now. Not that it mattered anymore. Infact...nothing mattered anymore. Gingerly, he fiddled with the think dog chain that hung by his left leg, and reached to his back pocket. Things were not to his liking. There was that Christian, something was bound to happen with him. Syaoran could just feel it. Then there was that conversation with Nafretiri, an ancient like himself. But his thoughts never left her, Hikari. And he knew they never would. Being a vampire had cursed Syaoran to loneliness for eternity. Something he had longed for during his life...but now hated with all his being. He wanted to watch the sun rise again, like he did after his dawn training. But that was taken from him...just another sacrifice to be what most call "a perfect warrior". How he loathed himself for it now. He gave a good kick to the ground beneth one of his feet. The sound of metal hitting concrete echoed through the pitch black warehouse. Now he was hating the silence...and it was something he craved. Joy. He thought dryly again. Another SPLENDID, LONG, FUCKED UP night.

'Isn't it though ...?' came a soft voice from the rafters. Rin jumped and landed crouched on the ground a few feet from him. She stood slowly, the rays of pale moonlight streaking across her slender form. 'forgive me ... I couldn't help but overhear.' She approached him slowly remembering the last time they had met. 'If you desire that I leave let me know ... but it seems you need somebody rather than be alone at this moment.'

She stood there silently her eyes shimmering in the dark as she waited for a reply.

~ Syaoran took a deep breath.

'My, my, my. Last time we met...you were mortal. Tell me, Lady Rin, was it? Did I miss something?' A smirk graced his pale pink lips. 'And no. This evening...I would be thankful for some company.' He looked up at her, hiding the fact that he was seething slightly over her reading his thoughts...He only hoped she hadn't heard the rest of them.

She pulled the collar of her coat slightly revealing another bite beside the old one. 'I was found by another ... who desired to teach me the ways of the ancients ... and aid him in his search for revenge.' She pulled her coat back enough to allow him to see the gun strapped to her thigh. 'I'm much different than the girl you encountered in the alley. I was scared then ... unsure of what was happening to me ...' She paused a smirk playing upon her lips. 'I'm not that way anymore.'

She looked out the window and looked to him, 'I'm curious ... just why are you here ... alone ... saddened ... you know ... if it's not too much to ask.'

Syaoran - September 8, 2004 07:17 AM (GMT)
~ Sighing slightly, Syaoran pushed himself more into the wall.

'Is it that noticable? I was taught to hide my emotions.' Clearing his mind, he looked up to his company, meeting her gaze with his fiery one. 'I am pleased to hear you have found your way. But a gun, my Lady...has no true effect on our kind...Perhaps a sword would be of more use.' With that, the corner of lips up turned. It wasn't a smile...just a simple..."up-turning of the lips".

bloodless_child - September 13, 2004 02:22 AM (GMT)
She tilted her head to the side in thought, 'ah ... but the way you could put the bullet in could certainly slow one down. Wouldn't happen to have a sword I could borrow then huh?' A soft sigh escaped her lips. 'I don't want to be a burden ... ' She moved slowly and sat beside him. 'Look ... I know I'm annoying you ... I'm just trying to be nice and help out.'

pausing her gaze went up to a crack in the ceiling. 'Care for a bite?'

Syaoran - September 13, 2004 08:57 AM (GMT)
~ Syaoran looked down at her.

'Your presence does not trouble me...And if it is a sword you are looking for...you have come to the right person.' He paused in thought, his eyes burning with a sudden interest. 'May I ask my Lady, are you asking for my company on a hunt?' This had greatly drawn his attention, he had never hunted with another, not even the one who turned him. She was young aswell. Perhaps he could help improve her, and teach her some of the best tricks in getting prey. A smile swam over his features at this thought, he would be more than happy to show another what they can possibly be capable of.

Rin smiled as she nodded. 'I don't care to hunt alone ... though unfortunately it's easier to lure them when you are ... their intimidated if another is there.' She looked up at him quietly, glad she wasn't on his nerves, knowing she often did the opposite of whatever she was trying to fix.

Slowly she pushed herself up off the ground and dusted off her suede coat. 'So have any ideas as to where we should go? ... any favorite places?'

Syaoran - September 14, 2004 06:58 AM (GMT)
~ Syaoran sub-consciencely ran his tongue over one of his fangs.

'Personally; I believe clubs are the best place. The blood is fresh, pumped through the veins. But I will leave the choice to you, my Lady...' He gave a graceful bow, after standing straight. Perhaps the night wouldn't be as bad as he first thought.
