Evelyn leaned casually against a graffitied pillar near the tunnel, waiting for nothing in particular. Strangely, she was not particularly hungry at the moment and so chose to bore herself. Perhaps after seeing a few people walk by she would gain her notorious appetite back. She winced as the subway clattered down the tunnel and stopped with and earsplitting shreik and a gust of wind. The automated voice sounded over the speaker system repetitively and Evelyn curled her lip in disgust.
"MIND THE GAP! MIND THE GAP!"
The doors opened and a rather large amount of people rushed from the subway. They walked up the steps as a new set of people got on and once again the subway was off, leaving Evelyn to scowl alone.
