Five years ago, the world was rocked. An announcement was made to the United Nations that changed the course of history. Werewolves exist.
The city is Levittson, NY, a large city in northern New York state. Five packs keep up residency here, with smaller packs dotting the scenery.
The Altair, the first and largest pack in the North Eastern United States, has its headquarters in its hometown of Levittson. Run by Tristan McAlister, the son of a long line of Alphas, the Altair try their best to keep the other packs in check. Their Alpha works with local authorities and the government to secure the rights of werewolves and to keep peace between werewolves and humans.
The Sheliak, an Amazonian-like pack, consists of mostly females. They mate to keep their pack strong, and only keep males related by blood. Their leader is strong, decisive, and fair. All females are welcome to their ranks.
The Hadar believe in tradition to a fault. Male run and male oriented, the Hadar treat females as property and playthings. Their leader tries his hardest to act the part, but can he really keep the pack in the direction its headed, or will he finally stand up and rebel?
The Nihal are a close-knit group of "mutts." Abandoned and rejected by other packs and wolves, they have grouped together to form a family of rebels. Their leader is caring and compassionate, unable to see others suffer the misery he was put through as a new wolf.
The Zaurak, the newest of the Levittson packs, are wild and blood thirsty. They despise humans, unable to believe that the two species can live in peace. Their leader is ruthless, killing anyone and anything that gets in her way, including the last Alpha, her former mate.
The road to equality is rough, but there's no turning back now. The humans know we exist, and the only question is, are will you make yourself known or continue to hide in the woods?
