Title: Luci Ashlin
Description: Mortal

Aurore Miller - May 23, 2009 04:16 PM (GMT)
Full Name: Luci Ginger Ashlin
Nickname: Spike or just Luci (typically only close friends get away with 'Luci')

Gender: Female
Age: 23

Place of Birth: Demaitre Central Hospital, Demaitre
Species: Mortal

Sexuality: Lesbian
Occupation: Drummer for a club band called Hitler's Hotrod

Appearance:
-Height: 5'8" 1/2

-Weight: 124 lbs

-Eyes: Luci's eyes are surprisingly clear for a recovering junkie. The emerald green that is sometimes almost shockingly bright is what most people notice first once they get past her minutely ailed appearance. Surrounding her bright greens are full strawberry blonde lashes that she keeps covered in smooth mascara - this is motly because she doesn't like to draw attention to the abnormality. Just the right amount of eyeliner and dark plum eye shadow are applied when she is sober and her light brown eyebrows are plucked to her satisfaction on either side of smoothly bridges nose that ends in a slight up-turn to give her a gorgeous, and slightly angelic face.

-Hair: Clean, her golden hair with naturally lighter highlights falls just to her shoulder blades in wide curles that need little tending to, the shine of daily washing and healthy sheen of a sober human noticable. But like most who have an addiction problem, when she breaks her soboriety her hair takes on a dull color and becomes brittle and lanky.

-Skin tone & Build: Luci is tall and lean, though not for lack of eating like a starved boy. Her thin frame is not toned but is smooth enough so she can wear a bakini in a pool with no worries, though some have said she is alittle too thin for her height. She bears a small C cup and is proud as can be about them, though she doesn't flaunt them stupidly with low cut blouses like some girls. Luci's abnormally fair skin and sometimes darkened eyes pay testament to her habit that she's been trying to kick since she was seventeen. Occasionally she gives off a healthy glow when she gone a long without using, but sometimes the longing becomes too much and she'll use just enough Heroin to take the edge off - therein giving herself the look of sheer exhaustion and ailment. When clean, Luci's skin takes of a more healthy rosey glow and she gains a few pounds, but due to her boyish metabolism she never gets above 130 lbs.

-Attire: Having been in a band for most of her teen years and finding herself comfortable with the style of dress, Luci tends to be alittle more punk rock. Though she has blonde hair and green eyes, she has never been one to be girly or preppy. She covers her long, thin legs with black, gray or plaid 'skinny jeans', most of which have holes in the knees and small holes beginning in the lower corners of her butt pockets. All her pants are held up by a black studded belt that is repaired in a few spots by duct tape. The woman is proud of her breasts and tends to wear form fitting band tees that bring out her only real curves aside from her feminin, slightly boney hips. If not in band tees then she'll wear a small black, studded and pinned vest with nothing under it but a leather bakini with white skulls on it or a normal black, under-wired bra. Her size 9 feet are always either bare with black painted toenails or are housed comfortably in an aging pair of black and white airwalks similar in style to converse with rainbow laces that are typically untied.

-Other: Luci's left arm is covered with bright tattoos from the tip of her shoulder down to her wrist in a full sleeve, something she originally got done to help hide her needle tracks and the scars they left behind. The young woman also has a small black heart tattoo on her left ring finger that she got when she 'married' an exgirlfriend, though that didn't last the tattoo remains. On the right side of her ribcage she has written in old english 'Don't be fooled by exterior facades. Every man, woman and child is as disgustingly disturbed as the last. Be true to yourself and always remember - get them before they get you.'

History:
"Ya know, most junkies like ta talk about themselves and get really into crazy ass detail about the most redundant of things. But me, being a off-and-on junkie - I like ta keep it simple, light and fun. No BS. Just plain old, simply, unadulterated fun. I'm also a bit of an optimist - something else that makes me an anomaly amongst the junkies. I'm carefree, light hearted, alittle stubborn, but without a doubt crazy fun. And as far as I know... It's always been that way."

Born into a family trying its hardest to be mainstream, normal and as othrodox as possible - Luci Ginger Ashlin was a welcome addition in the familiy already filled with another daughter and three sons. Luci was youngest of them all and quickly became the favorite from birth, sometimes only because she was the only child aside from two of the boys that had golden hair and bright green eyes. Unfortunately for the family - the angelic appearance of the youngest Ashlin was hardly a workable facade once she turned the age of seven. Behavior became an issue as all their baby-sitters began having trouble controlling the little tyke. Luci was a free spirited child who had trouble sitting still, following directions and acting what was normal for a girl her age.

Luci loved to be outside. Climbing trees with her brothers, swimming with their family dogs and learning all the disgusting habits boys carried around with merit - such as burping loudly, farting and spitting long distances. When confined in the house for whatever reason, the blonde girl would read books about far away places that her mind would get so far lost in, that both in dream and waking hour it was all she thought about. Little Luci slowly grew distant from her orthodox family as she reached into the double-digits and then into puberty.

At ten she wanted to learn the drums - she was given lessons. At eleven she was suspended from school for kissing another girl in the school yard - she was sent to another school where her actions weren't acknowledged. When she hit twelve she began fighting in school with boys who would pick on her older brother, David, who was only one year her senior - a spindely kid who couldn't fight to save his life. The golden haired child was quickly becoming the family black sheep when she finally hit thirteen and told everyone one night at dinner that she was going to join a punk band her friends were getting together. Obviously, in light of wanting to uphold a squeaky clean appearance in the eyes of their neighbors, her parents told her that she couldn't be in any band other than the one designated by the school.

So she ran away. But it didn't last and she was brought home by a family friend, one that gave her advice. The advice that she now wears on her ribcage to remind her every day not to forget them.

Now, outside the confines of the large house that held the five children, three golden retrievers, two parents, a nanny and a cook - Luci was somewhat of a strange mix. Almost everyone she met was drawn to her because she had a way of potraying self-lessness, warmth and a fun and optimistic attitude that was simply put, contagious. But she had a stubborn flare, cussed like a sailor, smoked, drank, burped, spat, played drums in three different bands throughout middle and high school and to top it all off in the contradictory catagory - she had guys chasing after her all the time, but she was a lesbian.

In the summer of her forteenth birthday Luci met a girl through her current band's bassist. Her name was Miri. Miri was best put - a slut. But there was something in those slightly hispanic features, spikey black hair and beautiful curves that caught Luci in her web. The two started the affair as nothing but purely lust, but as a year passed and they began doing heroin together - the lust grew into a need and longing for each other that was as constant as their need for a fix. Luci's family didn't suspect anything in the beginning because at the time their youngest was wearing leather jackets all the time, so they didn't see the most obvious needle tracks. When the two would get high together, it always seemed to turn into a sexual affair, their favorite place to shoot up being the veins in the groin. The blissful touches and kisses always ended wonderfully with them both passing out on the floor of Miri's gray van. The van she owned because she was nineteen years old at the time.

The only thing that changed about Luci as she rapidly became a junkie, was her grades went down in school and she looked tired and sickly - other than that her personality was as free and fun-loving as always. Her confidence wasn't struck down by the circles under her eyes or the dullness of their green; she felt the love she needed from Miri to keep her self-confidence where it had always been. Her elongating frame was boyish in the beginning and as her small curves grew in, the only surprise to her was how big her breasts got, considering Miri was of similar build and had small breasts due to heroin use. But shortly after her sixteenth birthday, Miri overdosed one night when Luci wasn't allowed to leave the house and was actually put under watch by her two eldest brothers. Luci found her the next morning on her way to school. The once beautiful woman with honey skin was blue in the lips where she could also note bubbled saliva and vomit, her eyes were wide open but empty of their life and her body was sprawled, naked, in a strange position betraying her convulsions before she finally died.

Luci got help but it was obviously too late and in the end she blamed, not herself as most would have, but the family which was so cold as to make her stay in because they saw her as an embarrassment. Over the next eight months she tried to get clean a few times but always seemed to fall back into heroin use with her band mates, school friends or at parties she snuck out to in the middle of the night. Miri and Luci had gotten tattoos of a heart on the ring fingers of their left hands to symbolize their love for each other and 'marriage' that they couldn't legally have because of Luci's age. The tattoo slowly began to give the young blonde the strength that she knew she needed to get sober, feeling that even though Miri was dead she still had to be strong and take care of herself. By her seventeenth birthday - Luci was clean for a month and ten days.

But it didn't last. Soon she was having to give up old habits as well as the heroin, like band mates, friends and places where she and Miri would hang out. The idea of having to lose most of what she loved killed her inside alittle and she started using again - the weight of her soberiety not kicking in again until one night when she got high with the twin brother of her best friend and bassist - the same guy who'd introduced her to Miri. The two of them were so loaded that they started making out and one thing led to another. Before she knew what she was doing, Luci was on the back end of an orgasm and Ted was pulling out. The recognition of her actions shook her deep as she realized that she'd had sex with, not only a friend and twin to her bassist, but a guy.

Two weeks later she graduated, barely, from high school and moved out of her parents house and into an apartment in downtown Demaitre. Luci's neighbors were nice enough but she could tell from the get-go that they knew she was an addict. Her third night in the new place she escaped the skateboarding, loud music and smell of pot that took over her living room because of friends and found herself in the bathroom, staring into the mirror. The nineteen year olds naturally beautiful features were not as glowey as normal, her yellow hair went untamed because she didn't want the shower needed to wash her hair to ruin her heroin high, and her bright green eyes were surrounded by the darkness of exhaustion and over-partying.

With that she stopped using. Went cold turkey. The withdrawl she went through lasted two weeks and she was assisted by her best friend, the bassist, Alfred - or Fredders. He had gone clean the year before and understood what she was going through. As she cleaned up, the two grew closer and after a year of being clean, Luci finally had the guts to confess what happened between her and Ted. Fredders reacted by simply getting up and leaving, hurt written all over his somewhat chisled, pierced and punkish face. Two days later she got a call from him, one she was told she couldn't talk during - only listen. Fredders explained that it hadn't been Ted that night. Luci had gotten high with Ted but whilest she was floating in her own world, Ted went and got Fredders to chill with her because he had to leave. It was Fredders who had initially kissed Luci and the sex that happened afterwards was something he'd been looking to have since they were in seventh grade. The hurt he felt and obviously expressed when he left two days before was only guilt at his actions and sadness at knowing that he not only didn't have the balls enough to admit it to Luci's face, but that she regretted it happening at all.

For three months Fredders and Luci didn't speak and then one day he just showed up at her apartment with a game plan for them to make money playing gigs at a local punk club three times a week. The money brought in and the friendship they were trying to fix brought more drama than either could handle and by Luci's twenty-second birthday, they were both using heavily again. The band did wonderfully and Luci had more fans and friends than she knew what to do with - but it always seemed that Fredders was hding in the shadows of their shows and slowly he became more and more agressive with her. Eventually he came out with what his problem was, only not in the best way. On the eve of their fiftieth show, Luci and Fredders were using in the girl's bathroom of the club. Fredders was injecting Luci's heavily tattood left arm when he suddenly stopped, the suringe only half-emptied into her arm. "I love you, Luci." Jabbing the needle all the way into her arm and filling her muscle tissue with heroin, the woman cried out and fought against the man, but he was stronger. Too much stronger in fact. Because as he pulled the needle back out and began roughly undressing her, Luci could do nothing but cry as her closest friend raped her and tried to make her OD on the floor of a dirty bathroom.

Luci finally came-to when she threw up for what she was assuming was the second time since she'd blacked out. The pain racking her body a sure sign she was on her wavy to convulsions and death. But thankfully the show was supposed to start in five minutes and a groupie, that Luci had frequently been physical with, came walking into the bathroom in search of her favorite band member. With a scream that was all it took to get he proper attention drawn to the bathroom scene and the following day Luci was in the hospital, Fredders was in jail pending a further investigation into what happened in the locked bathroom and Luci's family formally disowned her by having a lawyer sent over to the hospital to announce they would pay the hospital bills but wanted nothing further to do with the woman.

After a fit of withdrawl, gone through this time in a proper rehabilitation center, a court case that was nearly thrown out but instead was grabbed by an eager pro-bono lawyer to get face time with that particular judge, and a half-way house owner who took Luci under her wing - life was looking up. Three months from her twenty-third she was in a full-time relationship with the owner of the half-way house, a valuptuous sober living councilor with fiery red hair and a history as dark as Luci's, and they were fixing to move in together. But as luck would have it, the woman was shot by a crack addict she'd been counciling for two weeks after she wouldn't give him back the drugs he smuggled in. Torn, the punk rock woman decided it was time she limited contact with others for a while and ended up living and working from her apartment. Getting her money from friends who owed her, sometimes sleeping with groupies for money and playing shows whenever she could but usually leaving right after.

In the last six months the blonde woman has held true to her soberiety and is coming out of her emotional shell, once again ready to be the outgoing, fun-loving and free-spirited girl she's always been. But this time, she planned to do it sober.
