History:William Hart was bitten shortly before Rin was conceived, the disease hadn't enough time to poison his genuinely pleasant personality. However when she was born he become violently angry that she instead had taken on the appearance of the vampire that bitten him rather than her own parents. Never having been officially turned ... she carried the memories, knowledge and image of the vampire. The anger her father held grew more and more until one evening he attempted to kill her mother and herself. It was then that her mother decided to run for both their lives.
The idea that anything remotely supernatural existed was considered childlike, the firm belief in it is considered legally insane. At the age of four, Rin watched as her mother was institutionalized. Leaving her daughter to be taken care of by strangers.
When Rin was nine her mother was released, fully medicated and fit for a humane society. They lived in a exceptional home, in a beautiful suburban neighborhood free of any known risks. It was a warm Saturday night in the later days of July that William returned. When they found her, Rin was pressed tight into a corner, splashes of bright red against her tiny body. The vital liquid wasn't her own but in fact her mothers, who lay in a heap upon the floor in a cooling pool of blood. She was old enough to realize that her father had not come for blood, only for the destruction of the image that plagued him. Rin never remembered screams but someone heard that night and came before her father could finish his task.
The authorities came soon enough and put yellow tape around the area as the rest of the neighborhood crowded around. Even a gentle man in a uniform of blue carried her away from the nightmare and wrapped her in a warm wool blanket. They left her on the back of the ambulance to watch them take away her mother, to treat the scene as work, not a home broken by a crazed creature of the supernatural. Everyone was distracted, all equally horrified of the brutal death of the woman. Rin saw it as a chance to get away, a chance to run from the family they would force her into and the pain that cast it's dark shadow on her former home.
By the age of twenty Rin had established a career for herself, found a home, and had on the outside what appeared to be a normal life. Homeless shelters and the opportunities they provided had helped her significantly, though from the age of nine until seventeen she could never stay long. They would always try to put her with a family if she never found an adult to stay with. At the age of eighteen they couldn't lay a hand on her and from there she began her slow climb up the social ladder.
One night while taking a detour home through the streets of Dematire Rin passed an unsightly pile of garbage. Among it all Rin saw a mirror or atleast it should have been a mirror, there seemed to be no edge, no frame to hold in the reflective surface. She stepped towards it, her curiosity getting the best of her better judgement, and as it suddenly took hold of her arms she discovered a long lost enemy.
Rin struggled with the vampire Arabella, fighting the silence that choked her as the vampire pulled her in. It's mouth opened wide, fangs glistening with the pale light of the street lamp as it pulled her in fast, diving for that spot on her neck. Rin screamed with terror as she fought with everything she had, thrashing violently against the vampire's unnatural strength. Luckily the vampire managed only a scratch as her elongated canines barely grazed Rin's flesh. It was Rin's stolen abilities and strong will that left her only with a slight wound, one that would later become infected with a virus that mimicked vampirism. Drake Del'ran, a real vampire, realized what the infection was and offered her to save her by granting her the gift of darkness and an eternal lust for blood. Rin was frightened, though eager to find the strength to avenge her mother's death and so she accepted.
Within a year Rin began to face difficulties pertaining to her undead nature. Her home, the place of sanctuary and comfort was destroyed by the mortals she shared the building with. Despite their close proximity to her home they set fire to it hoping it would destroy her, later they told authorities it must have been an electrical fire. Her home was destroyed, everything burned, everything ruined. But her former friends strongly believed she had died in the fire and it provided her the opportunity to leave and start anew somewhere else where she would certainly have to be more discreet.
Appearance:Rin's appearance greatly resembles that of Isabella, the Italian mistress that corrupted her father. Her hair is a rich hue of warm milk chocolate, falling in liquid waves against her slender back till it comes to caress the rise of her bottom. Her skin is a deceptively warm honey tan, natural and rare for vampires, though in death it has paled some. Her eyes are blue like the Caribbean seas and shades of green and a golden yellow shimmer brilliantly in the light. When her abilities are at their most powerful those eyes darken, becoming like the midnight sky where stars have drowned.
Her style of clothing is casual, usually a fitted shirt with a pair of her favorite jeans. Though she doesn't pause at the opportunity to wear something more formal.
Personality:Rin tries to keep her life as normal as it can get when your dead, she doesn't possess a fondness with dirt, sleep in a stale tomb, or wear any unusual clothing or strange markings. She's a fun-loving girl who is loyal and protective of her friends. Some can honestly say she is stubborn as hell, determined to never give up unless the opposition is perhaps more patient than her. Also she hardly complies with her better judgement, thus making more messes than what she can clean up but she learns from her mistakes. And lastly due to an awful past she does admit to having a darker side and possessing supernatural abilities has not hindered it in the least. It is something rarely seen but it is wise not to cross her.
Etc:Rin still clings to habits that are very human-like, one example is the small fact that she keeps a coffee machine in her kitchen but never drinks the coffee that has been made. The smell is still so very comforting. Also she has a lounge chair on the roof of her building where sometimes she'll recline in her bikini and sunglasses, reading Cosmopolitan under the starry summer sky. And lastly though she is young never has she even begun to embrace the unnatural grace of a vampire, she is still so very clumsy.
