| Generally you had three kinds of Celts. Those coming from the Spanish regions and settling in lower Ireland, France and south western England (welsh) - shorter in stature, dark hair, darker skin. The Germanic Celts...the ones everyone thinks of. Blonde hair, blue eyes, tall. Sometimes decorated their bodies with ink made from Woad and Roots. They were in Gaul, eastern France, and Briton. (Kinda Viking vs Braveheart type fellows) Then you've got your northern Celts...pretty fair skinned, light hair (reds, blondes...rare brown) light eyes. They were highlanders...came over from Ireland and down from Scandinavia. (Re: Clothing/armor:) Furs, leathers, semi-nude; little to no armor, as armor was 1) unavailable 2) constricting. |
