Title: In the wind
Description: For Rem

Chi was out at night as she always seemed to be. It was late just after nine and she could tell that the days were getting shorter. Winter was coming, she could tell by the still warm wind. There was a nip in it that warned her of the cold to come. She didn't mind the cold, well not much anyway. She was a vampire and as a rule the cold never bothered a vampire. Of course she wore a coat when it got cold, simply for appearances and also because she had a very lovely coat that she adored to wear. She couldn't wear it yet, but she looked forward to the day that she could.
She was standing in the shade of a tree, her eyes caught between the look of someone too alert and someone losing their sanity. Her mood alternated between both and sometimes she would be more insane, yet often her sanity shone through and people knew that she hadn't gone completely senile, not yet. She had things to take care of, people to talk to. Only once that she deemed herself ready would she let go and slip into the blissfulness of insanity, but not until then.
She shook out her black skirt and the silver sequins twinkled in the light that shone in the park. Today she had gone for simple elegance, the red corset caressing the young womanly curves that she possessed. Her silver hair was kept simple and straight down her back, swishing near her waist. On top of the corset she wore a simple black leather jacket styled for a girl of her age. She smiled as she touched the leather and closed her eyes, allowing the scents to come to her nose. She could smell immortals, some closer than others. Would any come to her and talk to her? She wondered who would be brave and who would be frightened. Her powers cloaked around her and any vampire nearby would know that she was there.

Tonight was like most for Rem, by now she was full of blood from a murderous human and now she was looking for some fun. The bars had become somewhat of a bore so she set her sights on a more natural environment. Walking into the park Rem's black spiked boots make a soft clicking noise on the cement, while the rest of her body is utterly silent. she sports a black pair of tight jeans along with a silk blue sapphire halter top, like most night her hair hangs freely.
upon entering the part it did not take Rem long to scene the other vampire, though this one was not your run of the mill ones. no, this one was old even compared to herself. she smirks as she makes her way to the other wondering what type of fun might be had on this boring night. It did not take long to find her in all her 'glory', it seemed as if she was tempting other to come closer if they were brave enough. Though with vampires bravery does not matter as much as intelligence dose.
Rem stops about 20ft from the girl and waits, for what she does not know. though it is never a good thing to not show some respect to those older than you.

Chi's dark eyes seemed to be turned inwards, yet at the approach of the younger vampire, her eyes cleared of that glazed look. She tilted her head to one side waiting for the younger vampire to stop and when she did, Chi's eyes fixated on her. They weren't simply looking at the woman, they were staring. In a mortal or younger vampire it would have been staring, in Chi's case it was more calculating. It was almost as if she was passing judgment on this vampire by simply looking at her. Chi never passed judgment quickly, she always waited to talk with the other before passing judgment. It was better than judging a book by its cover.
She straightened herself out as her skirt swished and swayed, until she was facing the by far younger vampire. She watched her and wondered why did she approach her? What had made the woman approach a vampire that was by far her senior? Stronger and faster and perhaps more powerful. Was it simply to talk or was she looking for a fight? Chi would readily oblige to either, but did the young one have a death wish?
Chi continued to watch only a moment longer before she spoke. "What may I do for you, my child?" They were both from Chinese descent, that much Chi could gather, though she came from a time that many forgot or could not remember. Even in her own mind, her childhood was hazy and disjointed, though some memories still rang clearly. Her voice when she had spoken was young and closer to her apparent age, yet she managed to make it sound older and more sophisticated then it actually was. She folded her hands in front of her and waited for the younger vampire's response.

Rem expected that she would be sized up, all vampires do it to either gauge ones power or the ability to for full ones needs. Though Rem would not need to do such to this vampire. She stood still as Chi approached her as she waited for her judgment, though to her sight surprise it was not handed to her when the other spoke. Instead for once she was asked what she wanted. it seemed odd to her for normally she was the once asking.
after a moment she says in her normal soothing tone, 'who says i want anything? am i not allowed to marvel at the sight of finding one in our ranks as "aged" as you? or finding out what entertains one who has seen so much?'
she did not have fear, it was lost long ago with when her blood was loosed and her life ended. Though one might might find it again in the presents of one as strong as this vampire.

Chi let amusement flicker onto her face, but it soon vanished. Soothe her? Why was this one using a soothing tone? With a mortal it would work out simply fine, the mortal would be soothed and be able to relax. Chi needed no soothing, she was older and knew how to control her emotions. She didn't need to be soothed. Anger flashed underneath her facade, yet it didn't show on her face. She was volatile, but knew when to show her anger and her emotions. Showing them every time could be dangerous.
One second she was ten feet away and at the next directly in front of her. She took her chin in her hand, holding the younger vampire firmly but gently in place. She locked eyes with her and looked deep into the windows of the soul. Despite folklore that said that vampires didn't have souls, Chi didn't believe it. To be able to walk this Earth, everyone needed a soul.
She then let out a small closed lip smile. "When one approaches me they always want something, though it isn't always clear." She released her chin and looked at her expectantly. "If you were truly marveled at seeing one of my age, you would show it or at least feel it." The smile vanished from her lips, yet the amusement persisted. "I still find many things to entertain me, even as old as I am. Mortals are very creative."
