Title: Bloodbath
Description: For Nikki's Carina

Pandora Lorrain - September 26, 2008 05:17 PM (GMT)
Hale was annoyed and lonely. He didn't usually feel lonely. He wasn't a social creature by any means, often found cruel and unkind, which he was. He stood on the top of a stone angel, perched on its head and glancing around from his high viewpoint. He wanted to scream his annoyance to the world. He wasn't a creature that should be unwatched, he was dangerous and ruled the night, covering streets and grass with blood. Yet he was disgusted with it. He hadn't been able to find a book on new ways to cause pain and it bothered him. If only he had someone that could teach him. Of course he had experience under his belt, yet perhaps he was missing something. He simply didn't know what that was.

He jumped down from his position and landed on a tombstone three places over, heading towards the top of the crypt. He was slightly higher than the angel, perhaps something from there would catch his interest. Something better or he would make things interesting for himself. Perhaps he would attack a younger vampire. He had never really experimented on vampires. Maybe that was something that he would pick up. It had benefits, like vampires didn't die as fast.

He needed someone to entertain him, if he was thinking of attacking another vampire. This would not do. He stood straight up at the top of the crypt and looked around doing a three sixty, surveying his surrounding carefully.

Carina was in a fairly good mood tonight. She bounced through the crypt and sighed as she exited into the cemetery. Another night, another prey, another glorious day of death- but despite her renewed vigor in killing and tact- she was growing restless. She had to admit she missed Hale. he was always so fun- always had the best ideas- the best plans.

Carina Durr's sharp eyes scanned the graves and she paused for a moment to lean against one- her ensemble tonight a flowing black dress that fell to her ankles. her hair was spiked as per usual and her blue eyes were lined with blue- making her irises stand out with flair.

She was in a black and bloody kind of mood tonight.

So, where was the fun?

Pandora Lorrain - September 28, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
Hale stared around and tried to find someone who would be a good partner for the night. He stopped abruptly when he saw the spiked hair. He frowned in thought as he rummaged his brain for why that hair seemed familiar. When he inhaled, he knew instantly who it was. His eyes were alight with interest and he couldn't help for his fanged grin to spread across his lips.

He hesitated only a second and then turned into a dense fog as he vanished from his post. Like most fog that could be found in a cemetery he made sure that he stayed close to the ground. If he tried to get too far up the ground, it might get suspicious. Besides tonight was a night for a type of mist like evening. There was already mist on the ground and he simply added to it.

He approached Carina, barely able to keep the control over the shape his body had taken. He grinned and then leaped from his position on the ground in front of Carina. He hoped that he wouldn't misjudged and land straight on her. It would add to the excitement he felt.

Nikolaos - September 29, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
Carina hummed as she walked through the cemetery, her eyes alight with mischief as she made her way through the darkness with a dramatic and almost ethereal air, twirling- just enjoying the cool crisp night that enveloped her. Or was it the fog that enveloped her. Close to the ground, almost a sea to dance through....

She kept on her merry way, stopping every now and then to run her fingers over many a tombstone. As a matter of fact, just as Carina's fingers slid over Horace Mueller's gravestone (1978-2008), Hale appeared in front of her- making her jump with a start.

She laughed and practically fell backwards onto the tomb. She smiled and gave him a devilish grin. "Hale- you scared me. What are you doing out scaring friends? last time I checked it wasn't Halloween yet- though that doesn't mean I'm not up for tricks tonight."

Pandora Lorrain - September 29, 2008 01:45 AM (GMT)
Hale grinned. "I'm in a good mood. I was trying to scare you, simply because I thought it would entertain me and it did." He continued to grin, he was in a very playful mood and he wanted to have some fun. "Granted that my good mood doesn't bode well for mortals." He sighed and approached her. "I was bored until I saw you, because I remembered the fun we had the last time we were together. We had fun didn't we?" He remembered the fun and the killings that they had caused. Had it been three bodies that night or more? It didn't matter, what did matter was the fact that is had been fun.

He jumped and landed crouched on the tombstone behind her. It was the position the he preferred. He glanced up at her and smiled, this time covering his teeth and then it disappeared as thoughtfulness appeared on his face. "Did I ever give you the dagger that I had promised to you?" He didn't think that he had, but perhaps he had. He had such a collection that if one was given it wouldn't be a great loss.

Nikolaos - September 30, 2008 11:52 PM (GMT)
They had fun. yes, they had lots of fun. Carina felt her smile twist into something wicked while she floated through her memory of the last time they hunted together. She laughed and tossed her head back breifly, her laughter as sharp as breaking glass but nonetheless genuine with Hale. They were two of a kind after all.

"Yes. Yes, we did have fun-" she smirked and nodded. "It is good to see you."

Hale jumped up on the tombstone behind her. She laughed and moved closer. as he spoke, leaning an elbow on the cold edge of stone.
"Why- no. You didn't- hale you don't have to....: Carina's voice trailed as she shook her head and looked away.

"What are you up to tonight?"

Pandora Lorrain - October 1, 2008 01:07 AM (GMT)
Hale grinned keeping his preferred position on the tombstone. He looked at her and shook his head. "No, no I think you should have one. You used the one that I let you borrowed so well that I think you could do some real damage if you owned one." He slid from his perch onto the floor and knelt. He then put his hands in his pockets pulling knives out of them. It was surprising how many he could hide. He didn't necessarily used them, yet there were there, like a comforting blanket.

He laid them all down in front of him and started to organize them from shortest to longest. He looked up at her and pointed in front of him. "I said I was going to give you one and I will. Now you can choose any of these." There were at least ten knives on the ground and he was looking up at her, waiting for her to make a decision. "Don't say no, because I will be very upset." With his child like look and voice it didn't sound very threatening, yet he was dangerous and he was sure that Carina knew it.

Nikolaos - October 9, 2008 03:22 PM (GMT)
A smile crept onto her face as she looked down. "Well, thanks," she replied. That was a big compliment coming from Hale. he didn't give them freely and he was always honest. Carina's eyes widened as he moved, his hands suddenly holding an array of knives before her, their blades glinting sharply in the moonlight, their metallic beauty not lost on the young vampiress.

And they'd be so much more beautiful dripping the crimson hue that meant they had done their job, slowly peeling away that which was breakable, weak, sentimental, unworthy, inferior.... that which was human.

The knives were set upon the ground before them and their blades winked and smiled at Carina as hale began to organize them according to size. She watched in fascination and when she opened her mouth to protest her worthiness- hale told her we wouldn't take no for an answer.

"How could possibly chose?" Carina exclaimed with a soft smile before meeting his gaze genuinely. "Okay... uh...." Carina leaned forward to bend upon her knees to examine each blade with her eyes- her fingers stretching out to touch one or two. She scrutinized each one with a hard look in her icy eyes. Finally she pointed to the knife directly to the right of the center. Medium-length but a slight bit longer. A shining metal blade with an ornate hilt. She lifted it and examined it closer- almost afraid to touch it.
"This one?" she asked, looking at Hale. "Please?" she asked, for his permission she needed. His approval she needed. He was her teacher after all.

Pandora Lorrain - October 10, 2008 01:49 AM (GMT)
He watched her as she examined the knives and he knew what she was thinking. He gave compliments were they were deserved and in this case he thought that she deserved at least a small compliment. She was a very good student, one that he enjoyed teaching very much. She deserved much more than a simple blade which is why he was giving her one of his many treasured blades. Besides there was no way that he could use all the ones that he had. A gift here and there to people that deserved it wouldn't come to be a great loss. Besides he knew that the blade that she decided upon would be used.

He watched her as she choose the blade and approved almost immediately to her decision. The knife wasn't too long or too short but of a good length for her. It wasn't very heavy and made of a material that was impossible to reproduce today. He had always had a fondness for the rarity of items and this one was made with Damascus Steel. He had two others made of the rare steel and those he kept locked up. They were more valuable then the one here. The hilt was ornate, but not outrageously so. It had been done with taste, without going over to the tacky side.

"That one is a wonderful choice." He quickly and effectively replaced the others before she could protest and change her mind. That blade was very and most suitable for her. He stood up and straightened. "I got that in Syria and is made from a very unusual alloy. They haven't found a way to reproduce it to this day and I think it most fitting for it to be yours." He paused for a moment and smiled as he looked at her with the blade in her hand. "It was meant to be in your hand." Despite the love that he hand for the cold steel that she had chosen, it had never truly been his. Something in him had told him that the knife belonged to someone else and now he saw why.

Nikolaos - November 6, 2008 04:22 PM (GMT)
Carina smiled and nodded at him. "Thank you." She graciously tucked the knife away and gave hale a genuine smile. She truly was grateful. For everything. For everything he had taught her, for his companionship and for his hard and cruel personality that matched hers so much. He was what she wanted to be. Strong, powerful, in control....

Perhaps after being weak for so long. for being dehumanized for so long- she simply wanted to return the favor. Even now, after so many years....
She snapped back from her reverie and looked to Hale.

"So what are your plans for tonight?" she asked, a suggestive grin on her lips.

Pandora Lorrain - November 9, 2008 07:04 PM (GMT)
Hale waved his hand at her, brushing her thanks off. She didn't have to thank him, she needed a weapon to bring terror to the world and he had simply provided her with one. It was so much better that way and besides he had enough weapons that he could provide an entire village with them, if he was ever tempted to do so, not that he ever would be.

Hale grinned at her. "Well I didn't really have any plans per say, yet I was thinking of doing some damage and bring harm to some people. I had one problem with that and that was that I would do it alone. It's so much more fun when there are two of us, don't you think?" He had had fun with her and he couldn't even remember the last time he had enjoyed someone's company as much as he did hers. She did remind him of himself, when he had been young and weaker. If vampire's had a soul, she would have been the fledgling of his soul. His true child and none could ever take her place.

Nikolaos - November 11, 2008 02:10 AM (GMT)
"Of course it's more fun when we work together," Carina replied with a bright smile, her tiny fangs flashing in the moonlight as her eyes danced with anticipation and delight. "You know what they say, two heads are better than one."

She couldn't help but get excited with Hale. there was always something new to learn, to explore, and to experience.

"Let's get going then- where shall we haunt tonight Hale?" she asked, stretching out a hand to the child that was her teacher and mentor- her most trusted friend. For no matter what Carina knew she'd have Hale's back and he'd have hers. he'd never let her get soft and he'd never let her get unwillingly hurt. he was so much more than her brother had been to her. Konrad had only made things more complicated- harder- boring. hale made things easier- fun--- and lively....

Pandora Lorrain - November 12, 2008 04:43 PM (GMT)
Hale continued to grin, his eyes dancing. He was so up for this, he had been looking for a little fun and it seemed that now he had found someone to do it with. There would be no boredom, not when he and Carina were up to mischief, well it more than simple mischief really, but it didn't matter not at all. "You are absolutely right, two head are better than one."

He took her hand and thought about where to go. "Well I hadn't really made a decision about where to go, considering that I've already fed. It would have to be somewhere where there would be people without there being too many. We wouldn't want to get caught." He paused with a thoughtful expression. "We need a place where humans can hide and we can play hide and go seek with them. A game where they will have to save their lives..."

Nikolaos - January 13, 2009 04:47 PM (GMT)
Carina smiled as she and Hale made their way through the city, swinging his hand every now and then. Sometimes they both were like children- so eager to play with their new toys. They just had to find some toys first. There were so many- it was like trying to chose just one Barbie doll. One wished she could have them all. Carina laughed, the sounds trickling from her lips with an eerie sort of melody as she thought.

Barbie dolls!

"The Amman truly are a pain in the ass. I really just wish we didn't have to hide so much- ya know? But I suppose we should- I mean it's fun to hide and keep things a secret but sometimes I wish I could just do things freely without worry of being chastised- I dunno."

Now, Carina wasn't stupid enough to disobey the Amman, but she did resent them- she resented them terribly- however, she was too young and weak to make a difference.

"We could make the alleys a rat maze?"

Pandora Lorrain - January 13, 2009 04:55 PM (GMT)
Hale let go of her hand and scurried up a tree to look around for the perfect place to settle their maze. He quickly scurried back down and motioned to Carina to hurry up and catch up to him, he had found the perfect alleyway that could be able to become a rat maze and they could use as a playground. "You always have so wonderful ideas Carina. What would I do without you?"

"Should we make the rat maze a specific length or let it go on indefinitely, because either would be fun, though the indefinitely would bring true fear to many mortals. What do you think?" He wanted her opinion and her advice on this, they were a team. Like scientists experimenting and seeing what could bring optimum fear to a person's face.

Nikolaos - January 13, 2009 11:58 PM (GMT)
Carina smirked.
"I think it should be sealed" she answered as they looked down upon the streets. "We could take that car there and turn it across that alley and then seal the one up Park Avenue as well. Keep the little alleys connected but sealed off at the ends.... just like a maze- but there's no way out."

Carina smiled and sat down on the roof, frowning in thought. "But we have to get people in- we need cheese- or something better.... i could draw some in as well as you- let them run around- groups- pick them off one by one. Eventually the rats will realize they are disappearing- and why? And then- when there's one left... we can reveal ourselves to him or her- whoever evades us the longest- a game. And the one at the end- well, I don't know what to do with them yet, but when we're done playing we'll have to put the barbies in the dumpster and replace the cars so the Amman never notice."

Pandora Lorrain - January 14, 2009 02:56 PM (GMT)
Hale nodded. Sealed would be good, it would make people think that they had a chance to escape and the realize that there was absolutely no way out. It was an excellent idea. He looked over the alleyway from his point. "It is an excellent idea, but I also think that we should limit the number of people we take. The Amman would definitely notice that." He leaned back on his legs and tapped his chin with a small finger. "I'm thinking five or six."

He paused thinking over as he looked down the alleyways. "I suggest we fix the inside of the maze first and then we block off the exit. We'll use the entrance here to allow them inside. Shall we?" He stood straight up and turned to look at her. This could end up being interesting and there were so many items that were at their disposal to block and force them their rats to change directions. His eyes missed none of them.

Nikolaos - January 20, 2009 12:09 AM (GMT)
"Hmmm.... Five sounds good- and we have to separate them- it won't be fun at all if all the rats are together will it now? They have to scatter- and what sorts of people shall we chose? leave it to fate? I want at least one blond please- a man preferably."

She frowned and motioned for Hale to come with her as they got to work moving the cars- so easy to lift- into place. They sealed their maze except for the entrance and Carina suggested that she be the one to close the exit if Hale would be so kind as to lead the mice into the trap.

He was the cheese. She couldn't help but smile.

What devilish fun!

"Yes, I am ready- lets pick our mice and play my friend and techer, " she said, grinning wickedly as their eyes sparkled together in the moonlight- such excitement- and such awful thoughts.
