caitlinthemiller - July 22, 2008 11:20 AM (GMT)
Name: Evelyn Harker

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Place of Birth: Demaitre; Arts District

Species: Mortal

Appearance: Evelyn is of slight build, but a tall 5'9" or 10". Her skin was a light brown color that looked like she was stained with nut juice. Evelyn's eyes were the lightest brown imaginable, and people mistook her for being blind. She has curly nut-brown hair, almost chestnut, and "exotic" features. Evelyn never understood the "exotic" part because being half Jewish and favoring her mother didn't seem all that exciting. She likes to wear clothes that are considered "gothic" and a tiny amount of makeup. Recently, though, she's been wearing more comfortable and airy clothing

History: Evelyn was born to a working class family of artists. Her father, Jude Harker, was a British immigrant, an artist, and her mother, Sadie Brice, was a singer with a voice like Janis Joplin's. Home life was unusual at best. Evelyn's parents saw themselves as children of Bohemia. But they had no cares, including forcing their daughter to fend for herself. The Harker household was a fend-for-yourself, none-else-matter affair. Evelyn aged quickly, having to clean up and take care of her childish parents.

Life went on like this until Evelyn was 13. Her mother was scheduled to preform a rooftop show in the middle of downtown. She arrived at the building fine, but once the band was 8 floors up in the elevator, the cable snapped. The only survivor was the bassist, who left the scene mysteriously. Her father was distraught. He began abusing heavier drugs like morphine and ecstasy to help him forget. He still made art, so Evelyn sold the more generic pieces so they could eat.

Two weeks after her 18th birthday, Evelyn came home from her after school job at the Yesterday Man as a busgirl to an empty house. All her fathers work and paints and brushes were still there, but he was gone. No note. So, Evelyn decided to wait until after graduation (another week) to make any definite plans. Eventually she decided to rent the spare room and the master bedroom (she occupied the entire 2nd floor) to bring in something extra. This is where we leave her: two weeks after graduation and with an empty house.
