Title: Letting the night seep away
Description: For Rowen
Pandora Lorrain - February 5, 2008 08:37 PM (GMT)
Alexa was sitting in a Second Cup, curled up into of the plush chairs that they had. Her hot chocolate was on the side table, cooling. She had forgotten that it was even there, her mind was fixated on the picture in from of her. She wasn't the best artist in the world, but she managed quite nicely. Besides the picture was only for herself and for those she chose to share it with.
She brushed her long black hair out of her eyes, mumbling something about hating her bangs now that they were getting long. Her gray eyes scanned the page in front of her and she took her eraser to erase a wayward line, before redrawing it more carefully. She knew that she should be studying, but she was already sick of it. She had studied the past two days for her first botany midterm and she new that she was ready for it.
She glanced up for a second before returning her gaze to the sheet before her. She reached for her cup and sipped it carefully, letting her mind see what her drawing was missing. it seemed fine, but she doubted that she would ever be able to use the dagger that she was drawing. Her fear of vampires, though well controlled, had driven her thoughts as to how to hurt one of them so she could get away.
She unzipped the red sweater she was wearing, showing the pink t-shirt and fixed her black jeans. They could get so uncomfortable at times. she let out a soft sigh, she was waisting her time she knew it, yet she didn't quite care.

Raymond walked into the building slowly as he looked around, he had really only been here a few times, the café he normally went to was full of students who were bored of studying, and so, he found himself here. It wasn’t that he didn’t like this place, it was the face this place was normally more full then other places. It was a nice change in the least in he walked up to the counter and looked over the menu before he ordered himself a nice cup of tea.
Raymond was now one of the managers of the student museum on campus, and he loved his job, he loves his education of art, and art in every form was his life. He spent his day’s teaching now and then, and taking elementary and joiner high students around the exhibits showing off the works of the young minds in Demaitre.
“Thank you.” He said kindly as he picked up his cup, and pack of two cookies before moving to find a place to sit. His eye’s scanned the large room as looked over tables, but he didn’t want a table, though his eye’s fell on some chairs, every one taken until he found one, next to a girl the two separated by a side table. Walking over, he looked down and thought, maybe she wanted to be alone, and didn’t want anyone to sit there. “May I sit here?” He asked her nicely, his voice having a slight German accent to it.
He was tall, about 6 foot 1, his hair a light candy blond that was a bit long a shaggy, but it suited him nicely. His skin was slightly pale, but he was always sick, not having a very good immune system and allergies to many things can do that to people. The clothing he was wearing was a nice pair of creamy white cargo pants, nicely fitted to him, a nice short sleeve button down shirt that was a light blue in color, a navy blue pull over sweater, and a black men’s wool button down jacket.
Pandora Lorrain - February 5, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
Alexa was truly in her own little world, remembering the night that she had been attacked trying to put sounds and images to the distorted and forgotten memories. It was hard work, that vampire had tried to make her forget and was probably very inept at his telepathy skill. She ended up having nightmares for the following month, until she managed to put her thoughts into order and forcing herself to remember.
It took time and effort, often by the end of the day she would be exhausted with a headache and would only want some sleep. She would only do that once she was done everything else, besides it put her mind in some order and stopped the nightmares.
She glanced up startled at the man that spoke to her. She momentarily had the look of a dear caught in headlights. It vanished to be replaced with a soft smile. "Be my guest." She loved company and searched it, but her friends love to part and she was a little more of the quiet type. She didn't like parties though her friends insisted that she go out every now and again. Every now and again, she humored her friends and went.
She watched the man that sat down next to her. He was nice looking. It was always interesting to meet new people.
Rowen - February 5, 2008 09:40 PM (GMT)
Raymond nodded softly as he sat down and placed his cup next to him on the side table between them both. He looked at her for a moment before he looked down to her paper and looked at what he could see of her drawing from where he sat. “May I ask what it is your working on?” His voice was nice, he was nice and hardly had a mean bone in his body to speck of unless someone made him angry, and that wasn’t an easy task.
It was then removed his jacked and set it over the chair, with him as well, he also had a bag. One that most people know as a messenger bag, but his was for his art supplies he took with him to class for teaching. So on hand, in his bag, he was latterly always ready to draw, or color anything he wanted within his art book he had on hand. His eye’s were kind, a light blue that seemed cold, but yet at the same time, very warm and nice.
It was then he opened his cookies, nice big chocolate chip cookies, he had a craving, and he wanted them, but maybe he might share.
Pandora Lorrain - February 5, 2008 09:48 PM (GMT)
Alexa looked up to him and hesitated, before tilting the page so he could take a look at it. "A dagger, I find that drawing relaxes my mind. This notebook is filled with pictures or weaponry and people." She made a face as she looked at her drawing. "I perhaps am not the best artist, but I like to try and it makes me forget school for a little while." It helped her focus on that night a few years ago. A part of her wanted to forget, yet another was going to make sure that she remembered as much as she could.
She flicked through the pages of her notebook, until she found the one that she was looking for. It was a dark man that had no face and there seem to be shadows all around him. It was an image that was in her mind and she tried everyday to remember bits more, like where she had been and what she had been doing and more of this man. The only visible element in his face were the fangs at his mouth, everything else seemed hazy and distorted. Her memory was the same.
She returned her look to the man and her gaze fell on the cookies. She loved chocolate chip cookies. "I'm Alexa."
Rowen - February 5, 2008 09:59 PM (GMT)
Leaning in a bit closer to look at the notebook, he nodded slightly as he looked over her work. It wasn’t the best, but for someone who was just drawing to take her mind of school and such, it was rather good for just something down in off time. Watching as she flipped through pages, he looked at the one she fell one last and looked it over. His mind races with images of who to fill in such a face and he blinked, looking back up at her and blinked.
“Oh. I’m Raymond….” He said and looked to his cookies, before picking one up and offering her one. “Would you like one?” He asked nicely as his mind still raced with images. “And maybe I can help you with this one. I’m one of the mangers of the Student Museum on campus. Needless to say I’m an art geek.” he laughed slightly as he reach down for his bag, opened it and pulled out a pad of tracing paper.
“Have you ever tried to just draw the other features on this this stuff over the that? You might get something right, without really messing up the real image.” He offered. In looking at his bag, it was latterly and organized mess of drawing books, coloring utensils, some paint and other small things needed for his work. Not to mention a folder of finished works he had to mark for a grade 11 art class he was helping to teach.
Pandora Lorrain - February 6, 2008 01:45 AM (GMT)
Alexa saw the way his face changed as he looked at her last drawing. It was like he was remembering someone and that caught her interest. Did he know that vampires existed, did he understand why she had drawn such a man? Perhaps he didn't, artists often drew what came from their mind and not what they saw. Though it was debatable.
Her eyes lit up as he offered her a cookie. "Yes please." Manners had always been imported in her parents household despite their eccentric behavior and their fanaticism with PETA. She was polite and strong. She may seem delicate and on the soft spoken side, but she spoke for something that she promoted, she fought hard. Like the environment and the deprivation of the fresh water supply.
She shook her head. "This is a memory I'm trying to recall and it's hazy. I know that it may sound crazy but whatever that was in a memory that is erased or partially so. The more I remember the clearer it gets, but I still have problems with more pertinent details such as a face. It's clearer but not enough to draw." She sounded crazy to herself.
Vampires, nobody believed in them and neither had she until she had been attacked. She didn't think it was fear that fueled her anymore but just to at least recognize her attacker would put a face to the fear so she could completely vanquish it. So it was determination that made her move forward.
Rowen - February 6, 2008 04:32 AM (GMT)
Ray nodded slightly as he sat back in his chair before picking up his cup, and taking a sip of his tea. As he listened to her, he could only think of vampires, how her memory seemed to fail her, seemed like something his mother, well vampires mother spoke of. But the problem was, did he want to tell her he knew someone that could help her, Rowen could read her mind so she could finely have peace.
“Hum, odd, When memory is wanted, it fails us, but when we don’t want it everything starts to come to life. It’s rather odd really, it’s when you don’t think about when things will come back. The small things that is.” He offered before looking back to her and thought for a moment. His eye’s showed he wanted to help, he knew about their world, he lived with one, one that saved his life when he was a child.
“Maybe, you could tell me more about this, and I could help draw it out, I might be able to fill in a bit more about him.” He offer as he blinked his bright blues at her. He wanted to help, but He didn’t know how she would react if he told her about Rowen.
Pandora Lorrain - February 11, 2008 04:10 PM (GMT)
"It always seems that way doesn't it." Her voice came out soft, a murmur of sorts. "That's probably why I had nightmares for a month straight. I don't think I have ever been as terrified as I was then in my life."
She closed her eyes and the memory resurfaced in her mind. "He came out of no where..." She hesitated a moment. "I'm pretty sure that it was a he. I didn't see anything but him. It was late and he seemed imposing. He was taller than I was, Caucasian and dark-haired." She opened her eyes and looked at him.
She sipped on her own drink and smiled wryly. "Do you believe in vampires, Ray?" Her eyes never left his face, her mind curious to the answer that he would give her. She believed that they existed, especially after being attacked by one. Part of her wished that the vampire in question had managed to erase her mind completely of the event, but of course that would be too easy, wouldn't it?
Rowen - February 18, 2008 07:35 PM (GMT)
Looking over at her as he sipped his tea once again, he blinked as he listened to her words. The tell of this one vampire made his mind race with images, of how this man could look. Short or long hair, moderately thin or overly thin, his mind was a race with dark images that made his stair straight into the fire as she continued. He could understand why she felt that way, he would as well, but he knew someone that could help.
At her question to him, her eye’s snapped back to her as he nodded ever so softly. “Yes…..I do. I know for a fact that exist. But not all of them at evil.” He said softly as he looked at her still, his eye’s true. He wouldn’t lie to someone about something like that, he loved his mother to much to even lie to deny they did exist.
“I know…..” He hesitated for a long moment as he thought about it, but it was part of the Amman to help, keep the balance between mortal and immortal worlds. “I know someone who could help you remember, and help find them, and also help you forget it if you like.” He explained softly as he looked at her still before looking back to the fire.
Pandora Lorrain - February 25, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
Alexa simply stared at him, her mouth slightly ajar. Her mouth shut with an audible click only a few seconds later. Well at least she wasn't crazy that was a good thing. She hadn't completely lost her mind, that also was a good thing. She hadn't been imagining and she hadn't been dreaming. Alright now what was she going to do with that information?
Her first thought was to run for the door and never look back. This was insane, completely totally insane and she felt out of her element. They existed, she knew that, but to hear someone confirm it made it that much more real.
Her second thought was to face her fears and get it over with. Perhaps she could meet this person and forget it all. She shook her head abruptly. No forgetting the incident wouldn't help her. She needed to remember. "I would like to meet this person, to remember the incident. It would make me feel better." She watched him for a second longer. "Is this person a vampire?"
Rowen - February 26, 2008 12:23 AM (GMT)
Raymond sat looking at her as if he’d done something wrong, his eye’s slightly wide as he blinked slowly. He really thought she would pack her things up and run for the door, thinking he was some kind of gay nut job, and trying to make a friend. But in fact, Alexa didn’t run or think odd of him, and he found that to be a good sign about this meeting, I’m sure Rowen would like to bring this information to light, and then he would be caught, and punished for his actions.
“To your question, Yes, She is a vampire.” He said before sipping his tea and looking to the fire. “In the matter, she’s the one who raised me, kept me in as best health as possible for being a rather sickly child. Put me through school, let me travel, gave me everything I wanted without making me a spoiled brat.” he paused. “She’s my mother…..well adopted mother. But when hearing your story, she would be more then willing to help you.”
He answered before looking back to her. “She looks for people like the ones who did what he did to you. It’s not allowed in their world.” He finished as he finished his tea and set his mug down. Looking at her still, he waited for any answer she had to give. I mean, a vampire who was willing to take in a mortal child, and bring him up a mortal and love him, she had to be trustworthy.
Pandora Lorrain - March 1, 2008 04:02 PM (GMT)
Alexa listened to him and nodded to herself. It was only to expected. If all mortals were different then it had to be the same with vampires. There had to be some good and bad with different abilities and different wants in their world. Well it wasn't really their world anymore, it had to be the mortals and vampires world. They had done a good job of staying out of the spotlight.
The fact that there was a female vampire caught her off guard. Well of course there had to be female vampires, it only made sense. "That was nice of her and I think that I would like to meet her. She's probably one of the vampires that I could trust and trust to help me." She looked at her now cold drink. "Could we go see her now?" She glanced outside and it was dark. "Would she mind helping me?"
Rowen - March 3, 2008 02:43 AM (GMT)
Watching her for a another long moment, he could only think about what was going through her mind at the time. But it was then he looked back to the fire, thinking about his own life, and how messed up some things got for him. It was never fun to have something there you could only remember half of, and have the other half gone, it a fudge brownie, it wasn’t much good without milk, and Vic Vera.
In looking back to her, he smiled softly. “I’m sure she would be glade to help you with this. Not to mention they mind be looking for this guy. “ He answered as he set his mug down and sat up a bit more in the chair. “She should be home by now, she didn’t have much to do tonight, so it’s best we go now, yes.” He added as he stood up and started to pull his jacket on.
Pandora Lorrain - March 4, 2008 09:02 PM (GMT)
Alexa had a moment of panic. Was she ready for this? Ready to meet a bona fide vampire? Perhaps she was loosing her mind, that seemed rational, but then again if she was loosing her mind, it couldn't be rational. She shook her head out and took a deep breath. Alright all of this was real and she wanted to meet this vampire. She couldn't be half bad if she raised this guy. Another doubt set into her mind, until it was brushed away by remembering him eating a cookie.
"I'm sorry, this is a lot to process right now. Give me a second to put everything in order, in my own mind and after I suppose we can go." She started to put her stuff away, yet doing so slowly as her mind filed all the information she had learned and making place for the idea that some vampires might actually be nice.
She stood up slipping her coat on and shouldered her backpack. She inhaled deeply trying to ease her nerves. "Alright lets go." She wasn't going to be afraid there was no reason for her to be.
Rowen - March 5, 2008 03:15 AM (GMT)
Looking to her as she spoke, he could understand very well that this all was hard to take in, so he would wait. Knowing this world existed was hard to understand for anyone, even if they already knew, but knowing that other mortals knew was even harder to understand, but he understood al to well. As she stood be smiled as he shouldered his bag.
“Good, and you don’t have to worry about fearing her. She will know what to do, and when to stop.” He assured her as he slowly moved for the door. “It’ll be about a 20 minute walk, I didn’t take the car today since it was so nice.” He said as he opened the door for her and waited.
Pandora Lorrain - March 7, 2008 03:21 AM (GMT)
Alexa gave him a blank look. "I have a feeling that I don't have to fear her, yet unfortunately my brain doesn't quite agree with that. Or it's telling me to run for my life, I haven't quite decided yet. Though I will stick around, because I would love to meet this mother of yours, even if she isn't your biological mother." Wasn't her mind all over the place. It wasn't obvious for her to figure this one out. She couldn't obliterate her entire knowledge of the world, it would take time to get use to.
Alexa smiled at him faintly. "Let's get going. The faster we get there, the easier it will be." That's what she thought, besides once she was in the presence of the vampiress perhaps it would be easier. "Lead the way, I'll follow."
Rowen - March 16, 2008 05:09 AM (GMT)
Raymond stood watching her, almost reading her as if she was book. Her emotions seemed to run over her face, mostly in her eye’s as her fears seemed to come through about this meeting, but there was nothing to fear. “She is rather nice, she may even be baking…..and yes, oddly enough she does cook for me, and bake as well. She rather enjoys it.” He smiled as he moved out into the cool night holding the door for her.
“Then off we go.” He smiled, leading the way down the sidewalks, allowing her to have time to take this all in even more, to let her make up her mind better on this meeting. He shivered slightly in the cold night, but in a way it was nice to just walk, the sky was clear, thus the night being colder, no clouds to trap the heat between the sky and the ground far below it. The walk itself seemed long, but within half an hour they were back to a rather nice large home, Victorian in style, in one of the much nicer neighbourhoods in town.
Almost as soon as they walked though the door, the smell of apple and cinnamon filled the warm air, and large black lab came out to greet them, sniffing and licking, tail wagging. It wasn’t long after a tall women, long flowing black hair with a forever natural wave came out to greet them. “Welcome home……Oh….”
Her voice was trick with a German accent, and her bright blue eye’s fell to this girl. “Who is your friend Raymond?” She asked softly, nicely. She was forever young, her skin was pale, yet slightly warm having just gotten home from her own meal. She was wearing a pair of fitted denim boot cut jeans, a light long sleeve boat neck shirt, red in color. She looked about Raymond’s age, 21 or so, but her hire gave this human an odd feeling, she was far…..far older then him.
Pandora Lorrain - March 17, 2008 02:54 PM (GMT)
Alexa stared at him, a vampire baking? Who would have thought? The only vampires she had ever met was the one that had attacked her and the ones she saw in movies, ironically enough they were very similar, so she only saw one aspect of vampire culture. She was sure that there were some that were very nice, but she had to bend her mind around the thought mostly.
She followed him, wrapped in her warm winter jacket and sighed. Despite the cold temperature it was a beautiful night, the breeze was nice if almost nonexistent. It was a beautiful night and her eyes scanned the neighborhood. It had become something of a habit, looking for possible escapes to leave danger at any moment. She wasn't sure what the danger was or would be, but she'd be prepared.
Inside, her nose caught the smell of apple cinnamon. It smelled simply divine. She couldn't remember the last that she had had a cooked meal from home. Her parents and her were now at odds and to smell something so delicious. Her eyes caught sight of the dog and she let it smell her hand before petting him.
She smiled at the woman who was far older than her apparent age. "I'm Alexa, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Rowen - March 25, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
Rowen could smile to the girl before her, and she nodded her head gently. “I’m Rowen, and the pleasure is mine as well.” She answered as she invited her into her home, and kissed Raymonds cheek as he walked past, into the kitchen before he grinned, the pie was cooling.
“May I ask what the occasion is for bringing someone home?” She asked looking back to Raymond as he turned back to her, nodding softly as he removed his jacket, and placed it on the back on the chair.
“She needs some help, and I know you cold help her, plus it will also help you as well.” Raymond said as he looked to Alexa, then back to Rowen. “It would be better for her to explain this to you, since I don’t really know how it feel’s.” He finished before looking back to Alexa.
In looking at Alexa, Rowen could tell se seemed a bit uneasy about something, most likely not her but something else. “Oh? Do explain then, and just set your jacket down on the chair, it wont be harmed. But do come in, lets talk about this,” She smiled before she turned and moved into the kitchen.
She moved with a sort of grace that nothing else seemed to have, sleek, cool, elegant, it was everything yet so simple. She got two plates and sliced the pie placing one slice on each plate, before adding ice-cream, and bringing them to the table to each of them, then got a pot of tea, and two mugs. “Sit, and we’ll talk.” She smiled.
Pandora Lorrain - March 25, 2008 07:13 PM (GMT)
Alexa was beyond uneasy. Anybody that looked at her would be able to tell. Yet she had good control over her emotions and it did show that she was uneasy, but only that. She was in a vampire's house, granted it wasn't the one that had attacked her, but it was still a vampire. She had had nightmares for weeks on end after she had been attacked, now she had control over that. What if they happened again after this encounter, what if she woke up again screaming in the middle of the night? She couldn't afford that, she didn't live alone anymore.
She slipped her bag and coat off, placing the coat over the back of the chair. Alexa could smell the apple pie and she couldn't help being put at ease. It was one of those homey smells that seemed to make everything better, perhaps it was a sense of comfort. She sat down and looked down at the piece of pie, she did have a soft spot for sweets.
"A while back, I can't quite say when, I was attacked by a vampire." She frowned and shook out her head. "It sounds weird to say it, but then again I believe it to be true. I also believe that I wasn't suppose to remember, because that memory is hazy and unclear. I think that the vampire in question tried to erase my mind and was unsuccessful. So for weeks I had distorted images of a monster wanting to drink my blood. I would wake up screaming. I am not easily frightened and I hated to wake up night after night either screaming or crying." She hated to admit that she was weak, because she didn't see herself as such. Weren't the young suppose to believe that they were invincible? How could she believe that, if she had been attacked?
Rowen - March 26, 2008 08:05 PM (GMT)
Raymond sat down as well as he mixed his tea, sitting back in his chair and listened to Alexa. Rowen sat as well, crossing her arms slightly as she leaned on the table listing to Alexs’ painful memory. She could now understand why it hurt her so much, she could feel the fear in her voice, and see it in her eye’s. Though in hearing her story, she nodded softly as she could understand why. “It seems like one we have been trying to find, your memory may help. He seems to like going around and only half erasing peoples memories, just to leave them uneasy.”
She sighed as she sat back in her chair, watching Raymond start to eat his pie, then looked back to Alexa. “I can help you get it out of your mind, or, would you rather know and live stronger from it?” She asked, looking at her. It was almost better to live with it, so the next time you wouldn’t be to frightened, but that was up to the person.
“It might hurt a bit, do you have a ride home or anything, if not I’m sure Ray could give you a ride home. that’s if you don’t fall asleep here.” She advised her, she wanted to make sure she felt comfortable before did this. She wouldn’t mind if she wanted to spend the right, they had extra rooms.
Pandora Lorrain - March 26, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
Alexa stared at the pie while her hands wrapped the cup of tea. She was truly thinking about the offer. Before she would have wanted to know what had happened that night, but now that she knew that it was possible, she wasn't so sure. Did she want to put her mind through that? Remind it of what had happened? Bssides she had said that it would hurt. At least she was being honest about it, she wasn't lying the way that doctors did to little kids. She took a sip of her tea and nodded. "I do want to remember. I've been wanting to know what happened to me for at least the last two years. That's about when it happened."
She shook her head. "With the mention that it might hurt a bit, I was hoping that I could stay here." She smiled sheepishly. "This may sound weird, but I'll feel safer if I stay here. I hope you don't mind." It was at that moment that Alexa took a bite from her pie. It made her think of Christmas and her grandparents place. It was so delicious that she actually closed her eyes to enjoy the explosion of taste that was occurring in her mouth.
"Let's do it, before I change my mind."
Rowen - March 31, 2008 05:20 AM (GMT)
Listening to her and watching her, one hand placed under her chin as she leaned gently on the table watching the two of them eat. It hurt to watch them eat something she loved to eat so much when she was alive. Every fall, she would bake apple pies, and give them as gifts, she was at home in the kitchen, she loved it, but now she would only cook for others, and Raymond loved her pies, and another to add to the list was always heart warming. Nodding softly as a small smile came to her lips, she gave a small laugh.
“That’s fine, I don’t mind if you stay the night, and I’m sure Raymond wouldn’t mind being there when you need anything.” She added as she watched her still. This girl was lovely, she didn’t know why, maybe because she looked like someone she use to know. She gave a soft sigh as she sat up slowly, and nodded.
“Well you eat, it’s best to have something then nothing to keep your strength up for this. We’ll start when you’re done.” She finished before she stood, and moved slowly to clean up and counters and wash the dish’s as they ate.
Raymond by then was half done his pie, and knowing he had more to eat later, he would wait and not seem like a pig. Though it wasn’t uncommon for him to eat two slices in one night, and then another for breakfast, he ate slowly and sipped his tea now then.
Pandora Lorrain - April 1, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
Alexa ate her piece of pie, trying to put where she was and the context of her life added to the fact that the attack of the vampire was more then simply a dream and that there were others. Not all of them were bad and this vampire seemed of the nice motherly sort.
It didn't take long for Alexa to finish her pie and she followed Rowen to the kitchen, where she was cleaning. Alexa watched her before placing her plate on the counter. "You miss it don't you, miss the eating?" She paused thoughtfully, remembering that Rowen had been drinking the eat. "I take it that vampires drink but don't eat. How do you deal with that?" Perhaps it was insensitive and a little blunt, but Alexa wanted to know. After all if there were vampires in the city, wasn't there a possibility that one day she would be turned. She wasn't sure if it was going to be turned against her will, despite the vampire attack, yet she was more curious than anything. It was the scientist in her.
Rowen - April 2, 2008 08:13 PM (GMT)
As Rowen washed the dish’s, she thought to herself about how she was going to do this. In looking to Alexa as she came up to her side, she smiled softly as he set her plate down. Nodding softly he looked back to the water her hands rested in, then her movement stopped altogether as Alexa asked her question. Even Raymond looked back at her words, watching the both of them as he chewed his last bit of pie.
Rowen smiled half-heartedly to her question, and yes indeed it was a bit insensitive, but how could she blame her? She didn’t know any vampire, and the question was on the minds of many who did know, but never asked. “I do miss it yes….very much.” She answered to start, as once again started to wash the plates and other utensils used to make the pie.
“It’s not easy to make the change, eat normal food will most likely kill us, or just make us rather ill. There are different covens who have their own ways, but in general we are all the same.” She continued. “But one you forget the feeling of normal food, and your body craves the other, you seem to almost forget about it. But it’s not easy. I was never always nice like this, I use to be……for a better ways of saying it, not a very nice person to be around. I took joy in harming and killing others. But that changed when I found Raymond…..But that’s a story for later.” She finished, looking at her with a smile as she finished her dish’s.
“Right now is not about me, it’s about you getting the help you want to remember, and me getting the help we need to find the one who did this to you.” She smiled as she dried her hands off, before setting the towel down and moving back to the table.

Alexa simply listened, her mind like a sponge absorbing all knowledge that she could, whether it was useful or not at the moment. One day it may provide useful if ever something happened to her. She always thought that whatever she learned could help her and she could analyze later.
She enjoyed harming others? She seemed so nice. She supposed that some vampires needed more time to adjust to said lifestyle and sometimes people could do horrifying things to find who they were. To Alexa it was difficult to understand, yet again she didn't speak and simply listened. Perhaps it was in a way listening to your elders, after all, this woman despite her physical age, Alexa could tell that she was a lot older.
Alexa returned to the table and hesitated before sitting down again. "So how does this work? I mean do I need to do anything or is it mostly going to be you? Do i need to remember anything, perhaps sequences to the time up to the event or simply let you find what you are looking for?" Alexa was a little nervous, someone was going through her mind and not just anybody, a vampire, a real life vampire. People that she had learned to fear. Rowen seemed alright though, she hoped that she wasn't making a mistake.

Looking to Alexa as she sat at the table, she listened to her before she nodded softly. “It would be more easy if you try to recall what you can. Bring as much forward as you can so I cam use that to dig deeper. Relax and don’t try to fight it.” She told her as she took her hand, helping her stand before bring her own to the living room, and allowing her to sit in of the comfy chairs.
“Just make sure you try to keep thinking about it. Some things may come to mind of other things in your past, but I’m not trying to pry, I’m just trying to follow to path of what happened that night. You understand, how pain can relate to other things in your life as well.” She said before moving another chair closer to her as she sat down watching her.
“I wont start until you are ready.” She smiled softly. It was then Raymond came out with a glass of water and two Advil, laying them on the table for after they were done knowing the headache Alex would have after.

Alexa sank in the chair and a soft smile spread on her lips. It was like sinking into a marshmallow. Maybe not that soft, but it was extremely comfy. She shifted in her chair trying to find the most comfortable position. After all she didn't know how long they would be doing this, they could go for a few minutes to almost an hour or two. It truly depended on how long it took her to recall the memory.
Alexa smiled at Raymond as he placed the water and Advil next to her on a table. "Thank you." Well at least she was being cared for and they were really trying to help not simply getting the information they needed and leaving her like a fish without water, floundering on the dock.
She nodded. "Alright I'm ready." Reflexively, Alexa closed her eyes and let mind drift back to that sense of unease, but it ended up bring a mix of different memories that she wasn't ready to deal with. The fight she had had with her parents, the death of her supportive grandmother, the nightmares. Wait there, the nightmares. She reached out to them and in a flash she was back to that memory on that faithful night.
She remembered the peace of that night. It was a dark night and it had been a peaceful walk back to the single bedroom she had. It was expensive but it was a beautiful place, in a relatively safe neighborhood. It was at that moment that the sense of peace vanished, replaced with a sense of unease and mounting dread. Something was wrong on this walk home, something was terribly wrong.

AS Rowen watched her, her own mind slowly seeped into her’s looking around slowly, not to fast as not to harm her. She looked past all the memories that came forward to her, almost to show themselves off, like every good memory wanted to do, it wanted to be known. But this wasn’t what she was here for, she wanted the nightmares, she wanted to see them, see if she could bring that faithful back to her mind.
Slowly she watched as Alexa moved move, entering her own safe home, but even Rowen could feel as if she was being watched, she stood within the room herself watching the shadows, she could not do anything just watch as it played through.
There it was, the shadow on the far wall that blended in so well.
Her mind reached out more keeping it alive and forcing it to come out, saying it was painful was putting it lightly, she had no words at this moment for how it was. He was young, but not old enough to know how to use his power rightly enough to erase her memory, her mind didn’t want it go.
Getting several looks of this young man, she knew his face now, but Alexa had to relive that whole night before Rowen could fully rid her of it.

Alexa could feel her heart beat hard in her chest as she relived the night in her mind. It was the only time that she had true nightmares. Her eyes fluttered under her eye lids and the blood was pumping through her veins. The memory was strong because she had focused on it so much to try to see who he was.
She was frightened, something was wrong that much she could understand and to hurry home she decided to cut through the alley. That had been the biggest mistake she could have made. It was at that moment that he had attacked and had pinned her across the wall, facing him. His face had been clear and she had tried to scream, until he bit her and she passed out.
She woke up in the alley surrounded by people and unable to focus on a single voice. She had gone to the hospital and been given blood and had been released the next day, scared for her life and of what might happen to her.
