Description: Mortal

Claude - January 21, 2008 10:42 PM (GMT)
Name: Claude William Lange

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Place of Birth: Toronto, Canada

Species: Mortal

Appearance: Claude stands at just a hair over 5'8" tall and weighs roughly 150 pounds. He has deep brown eyes that are accented by tiny golden flecks and dark brown hair that frames his face as though it is need of a long overdue trim. He has a warm, patient gaze and a shy, tentative smile which brighten his adversely plain features.

Although he sometimes dons a pair of thick rimmed glasses, Claude can usually be found wearing dark earthly toned ensembles, along with a beat up pair of black Converse Hi-Tops and a faded leather jacket. Never leaving his side is a tan canvas bag that he carries slung over his shoulder; inside are his trusty notepad and journal into which he scribbles his daily thoughts and ideas.

History: Born to William and Darlene Lange on November 3rd, 1988, Claude was raised in a safe and sound home. However, there was much conflict between his mother and father behind closed doors, which inevitably resulted in divorce. Claude and his brother, Samuel, were drawn into the midst of a vicious custody battle that granted Darlene custody, and William visitation. However, the boys were told that they would never see their father again.

They moved with their mother from place to place, having neither a father figure to raise them, nor a place to call home. However, they had each other and their brotherly bond held them together. Over time, their mother instilled a firm dislike for their father, and thence an equal dislike for any wishful suitor that crossed her path. However, their mother remarried and settled in their hometown of Toronto, attempting once more to have a normal life.

When Claude was 15, Samuel was kidnapped and, after several months of searching with no avail, was proclaimed dead. The loss was devastating. Claude withdrew himself socially both at school and at home and took to the pen to relieve his inner turmoil. During his senior year of high school, his grades, disposition and behavior took a great turn for the better as he discovered he had a great natural affinity and an expressive talent in writing.

The day after graduation, he packed his bags and took off to Demaitre to attend the university, where he entered himself into the honors writing program.
