The music was blaring, the lights on the dance floor were strobing to the beat of the dance music.

Skylar looked around amazed. She'd never been to a club before and well, everything was just overwhelming to her senses at the moment and she could feel, feel her heart pulsing to the beat of the music.

"Wow..." She said breathily, looking around, her eyes eager to explore her new environment.

She'd snuck in with a group of college girls who hadn't noticed her, giddy to get in, and now that she was on her own Skylar was eager to loosen up. Yeeah. Get a few drinks and have some fun. Well... Maybe not the drinks... She'd never drank before, and when her mom did... It wasn't ever really that good.

"Hey there sweet thiiiing." Slurred a guy as he grinned at her from a table with a group of guys all grinning wolfishly at her. "Why don'tca come over and have a few drinks with me and my friends?"

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea... What if something like the other night happened again? Jason... He wasn't here to help her again. "Uh... No thanks." She said with a slight smile. "Here meeting my boyfriend, sorry." She gave a little wink and the man glared as she turned away.

The man's friends laughed at him and he glared around at them and got up from his chair, moving around the bar, keeping an eye on the little blond who was moving around to a far table, away from the main crowd.

David had been listening to the wonderful pounding of the music in his ears and watched from a far of table as more people entered the club, one specific one catching his eye. It was a young blond girl who within moments was apparently being bothered by a few drunken men. Standing up, his perfect black jacket, dress pants, and strapped boots intimidating at his six-foot stature to the shorter men when he approached them. "Have you seen a sweet young lady come through? Blonde hair, about yey high?" He used his hand to show how tall she was. Angrily a drunk pointed her out at table a little ways away.

"Thank you, sir." David flipped him a quarter and walked away, hearing angry muttering and growls. Reaching the table he nodded to her and gestured to a seat, "May I sit?"

Maybe it wasn't the best thing to be here... Maybe she should have gotten a few friends together or something. Or made friends with some college students. She bit her lip, looking around. Yeah... She didn't really fit in.

Her eyes widened slightly as she saw a man coming. He... he was nicely dressed, tall... handsome and he looked like security, or someone important.

No, she couldn't freak out. He... He wasn't going to get her in trouble. He wasn't going to call the cops or anything.

"Uh, sure I guess." She looked around quickly, and saw the other guys from before looking at her. Hmm... Yeah, maybe it would be good to have him around. After all, she had said she was waiting for her boyfriend.

"I mean not waiting for anyone or anything." She said with a smile. "And well, I guess it's not good for a girl to be out alone by herself here."

"My point exactly," David smirked at her as he sat down across from her, his dark brown eyes taking in her features. She was a pretty young girl up close, not a good thing when one as young as she was alone in a club with drunk men.

"My name is David." he put out his long fingered hand for her to shake, "And you are?" David's tone was kind and gentle, letting her know that he was no threat.

"David huh?" She said with a grin as she watched him sit down. "Well I'm your girlfriend for the evening." Skylar laughed slightly. "Well if you don't mind of course." She said with a little wink. But then again she should probably explain. "Uh, there was this guy who was hitting on me and I didn't want to be bothered with him and his drunken buddies. So I told'em that I was here meeting up with my boyfriend. Well, I thought it was a good idea at the time."

And well, maybe it wasn't the best idea, but things were seeming to work out okay. She was still wary of this David here... But he seemed nice enough. No pick up lines, no alcohol on his breath... Wasn't slurring his words or staggering. He was probably the best catch in here right now.

"Oh! Hah. Sorry, I'm Skylar though." She said as her fingers danced along his palm softly. After all, if she was his girlfriend, she wouldn't be shaking his hand right? "So... What are you here for tonight?"

Aurore Miller - January 22, 2008 10:59 PM (GMT)
David smirked at the girlfriend for the evening comment, "Sure, I've no problem with it." A moment passed and he gave her a strange looked waiting to hear her name and when she finally did introduce herself he played along physically with his hand to give a realistic visual for the drunks across the room, instead of shaking her hand as if they'd only just met.

"So, I don't mean to be rude. But how old are you exactly, Skylar?" His tone was light and friendly, he liked meeting new people and she was definitely interesting.

Skylar stiffened at his question, not expecting it so soon. "I... I'm old enough to be here. Otherwise they wouldn't have let me in, would they?" She asked in return, hoping to throw him off.

"But I just turned nineteen." She lied. After all she looked older than she was, not by much, but enough to pass for an early nineteen. "If you really have to know." After all, she really was almost eighteen, old enough to get in, just not old enough to drink.

"What, am I a bit too old for you hm?" She asked with a little grin.

Aurore Miller - January 22, 2008 11:18 PM (GMT)
"Not at all, Skylar." David smirked at her, his brown eyes fixated on hers, "But I noticed that when I asked you,.." he paused not wanting to reveal that he could faintly hear her heartbeat from the vampiric characteristics he'd picked up over the years from different owners. "Your face became for an instant, almost panicked." He cocked a slight eyebrow at her.

"But worry not, miss. I noticed you enter with those college ladies." Looking around he beckoned to a waitor who was skating around aimlessly and asked for a desorono(sp?) on the rocks. Peering across the table to the young miss Skylar he smiled, "And the lady will have?"

"She's not old enough!" The man piped up quickly looking at her.

"This happens to be my fiance and I'm telling you she's old enough. It's amazing the work alittle plastic surgery does for the female apperance." David's tone was even and alittle rough, making the waitor nod warily and gaze at Sky waiting for an answer.

"I don't know what you're talking about David." She said with all the innocence she could muster. She knew her face had betrayed her for an instant, but it wouldn't again. She was a drama girl. Used to performing for others.

"Oh, that's okay, even if I am, I don't drink." She said with a slight wink at the bartender. "I would have thought my Fiance knew that by now." Skylar grinned. "I'll have a Pepsi please." She smiled as the bartender went off.

"My parents drink. I've seen nothing but bad things come from drinking." She said with a soft frown. "So I chose not to." After all, she had already decided not to drink for the night. She didn't know what alcohol did to her, and she needed to keep her wits about her.

Aurore Miller - June 27, 2008 02:46 AM (GMT)
David watched her play into the scheme of her being his 'fiance' as if it were planned, though he had to admit he was embarassed to admit he would have anticipated a young girl taking the opportunity to drink; but he'd been wrong. "Touche." The brown haired man nodded and smirked, the waitor giving them a jeering glance before leaving to fetch their drinks.

"I can understand that." After all, drunk parents could usually affect their offspring in two fashions. One - they too could turn into angry, raging alcoholics or Two - they could never touch a drink in hopes of never being like their parents. "I should have guessed a young woman like yourself wouldn't want to riddle her frame with destructive chemicals anyway."

Not a second later the waitor returned with two glasses. One filled with it's respective order and the other only filled with ice, a pepsi can accompanying it as it was set on the table before Skylar. "Who gets tab?"

"Oh- That'll be me." David raised his hand briefly with a smirk, the waitor nodding, "But don't bother yet, I plan to have more later on in the evening." As the man on skates left once again, his skates leaving a residual sliding sound in his ears, "Not too much, Skylar. Just a sociable amount, really." It was true; he didn't like to drink in excess. Just enough to give him that subtle yet familiar buzz and euphoria that he couldn't get anywhe-.... Well,... Almost nowhere else.

"So, Skylar... Tell me about yourself."
