Snap.

What a soft little sound. A quiet crack was all, though it echoed a bit in the wide-open area of the parking garage. And with that tiny little crack, poor detective... Holmes died. Poor bastard never even knew what him, had he then? Hammer cracked a grin, busily stripping the dead cop of badge and ID and utility belt and putting it all on himself. "Holmes, is it, chap? I find that funny, I do."

Nobody would give him a second look anyway, but Hammer figured a good backup plan was never amiss. Easily shattering the lock on the detective's car, he dumped the man's body in the trunk and ripped the tag off before climbing behind the wheel. Guy just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time - plus he looked a bit like Hammer.

Hammer drove out of the police department's garage to the Greyhound station's lot. He would double back later. As it was, he didn't want the late detective Holmes' body found for a while and nobody would notice a car sitting for days in a bus lot. They'd figure it was just another traveler's car and, with the tag gone, even the police would have trouble finding a plain sedan in a city this big.

Yes sir, he could plan when he needed too. Di'n't have a bagel for a brain.

Waiting around the police garage again, a bored and slightly lazy manner served Hammer well. Anyone passing by just figured he was a detective waiting for... well, they never really thought that far. He was just waiting. It was some time before Hammer saw the person he'd been looking for.

There she was. Hammer studied her. Looked just like anyone else di'n't she? But he knew better. "Captain Synclair?"

Vixey - January 6, 2008 02:13 PM (GMT)
"Look! I don't care what happened alright! You never fire your gun unless you intend to shoot to kill. Aiming to wound only means you have more likelihood of missing, especially with your recent range scores, Miller. Do you understand me?" Jaxon growled at the patrolman standing in front of her.

The stink of fear on the human clogged up her nose and made her even more furious. Officers could show no fear. How could he even think about being afraid in this job. And on the clock as well.

Miller nodded weakly and Jax's eyes flicked up as she heard a new voice.

But... She'd never seen this man before... And he was no human. He was a vampire. "Can't you see I'm busy at the moment?" She said with a glare turning back to the mortal.

"Go shower off. You reek. Then get your things and go home for the night. I want you at the range for at least six hours tomorrow." The man was about to open his mouth in protest. "I don't care if it's your day off." She growled. "I want you hear for at least six hours and if you don't hit at least ninety percent of your targets, you'll do it again every damn day I tell you to. Do you understand?"

"Yes... Captain." The man said reluctantly.

"Dismissed... Get out of my sight now." She said turning her attention and mismatched eyes to the new comer.

"You know... You didn't have to kill anyone to get in here. Use the front entrance and sign in as a visitor and say you're here to see me next time." She muttered only for vampire ears.

"But what have you come here for?" She said as she took out the incident report from before. Men... How stupid and weak.. They really didn't know anything did they?

Toryas - January 7, 2008 01:36 AM (GMT)
Hammer watched, enormously entertained, as she ripped the poor man - Miller - a new one. Well, he liked the take charge attitude, di’n’t he just? He surely did. Nothing interesting atall in folks that slunk around with their tail between their legs. Like Miller was. When the beat cop skulked off, Hammer couldn’t help but grin nastily, smelling the sour odor of the man’s fear on the air. Now, wot was he all scared of?

“Applause, applause, captain,” Hammer said exaggerating the last word. “I do b’lieve the little man is right terrified of you. Tell me, does he ‘ave good reason?”

He acted surprised at her words. “Kill anyone? Banish the thought. Why would I kill anyone?” he asked, then gave it away with a grin. “’Cept for the fun of it, ‘course. S’pose I’ll give your way a try next time. But they ‘ave all those pesky witnesses inside, you see. Out here ‘tis only the cameras I’ve a worry for and those are grainy at the best and outta commission at the worst.” Hammer wasn’t as stupid as he acted. Then again, he might not be as smart as he sometimes seemed either.

Put it this way, Hammer was what he was and that was very good at breaking faces - and other vital little body parts.

Leaning back against the nearest car, Hammer studied her, his mouth falling from its dark smile to its natural grimness. Even those not easily intimidated would be stupid to not at least pause for a moment when laying eyes on him, for everything about Hammer, even in stillness, screamed danger. But there wasn’t all that much, danger that is, at the moment. No reason for it in any case.

“What do I want? Better not say, I don’t think.” He grinned suddenly, at some sort of inside joke. “Guess you can say I’m a man on a mission. Got an offer to make you, as it were. And a question to ask. How much you like money?”

Vixey - January 7, 2008 02:28 AM (GMT)
"Because that's the kind of... person you are." She hesitated even calling him a person really, as she continued her paperwork. God she hated being in charge.... It seemed sometimes that no compensation was worth this work.

"But yes... He has every right to be terrified. He fucked up and I don't tolerate fuck-ups in my unit. I'd get his ass fired if it wasn't for all the fucking red tape." She growled as she scribbled across the paper.

"Kill anyone in here again... And I've got special bullets for you." She threatened, not even looking up from her work.

"Well if you're not going to say what you want, then forget it." She muttered, moving to the next page. "Mission or not, I don't get myself involved with anyone or anything unless I know exactly what I'm in for."

Well... Hadn't she known about Corry? She knew the kind of man he was... She knew what he was like better than anyone... But she wanted him. She fucking wanted him back! Her fist began to shake with anger, clutching the pen. She wanted him back now, wanted him to just push her over the desk and... And show her just how weak she was, make her plead and cry for mercy.

"Money? What the fuck do I need money for? My pay keeps my apartment and my bike up to snuff. What do I care?" She asked as she pushed the papers away, standing up from her desk. She at least had an office and she moved to shut the door now and draw the blinds.

"What the hell are you here for? The room's hard to hear out of and no one can see us, spill it or get the fuck out." She demanded sharply, standing not too far from him at all, her arms fiercely across her chest as she glared up at him.

Toryas - January 7, 2008 03:02 AM (GMT)
Hammer studied his knuckles as she threatened him, supremely unconcerned. "Bullets is it? Well, now you've gone and made me wet meself," he said sarcastically, "Oh, the terror. You can't threaten me, little girl, but do keep tryin'. I haven't been to the movies lately and I'm just starved for some good entertainment."

He offered what was supposed to be a pleasant smile, then frowned. "You don't like money? Aw, now that sent a big chunk of me bargainings out the window." As she drew the blinds, Hammer took her office chair for a spin, leaning back and setting his motorcycle boots on the desk.

"I could get used to an office," he mused. Not that he'd have much to do in it or nothing, but it made him feel all important-like. Hammer the Boss-man. Had a bit of an appeal to it.

Hammer stuck both hands behind his head, the picture of relaxation. It was something of a misdirect, however. He was always ready for trouble. "What do you want, Captain? You see, there's this... how should I put it... company, that I work for. You look the other way on some suspicious dealings, we compensate you nicely. Works out rather well, in most cases."

Vixey - January 7, 2008 04:25 AM (GMT)
Jax glared as he helped himself to her seat, proping his feet on her desk.

"Get your ass outa there." She said sharply. Ever since she'd been away from Corry, she'd been aggitated and andtsy... Was it because she couldn't get what she needed from him? Or because she didn't have free access to what his business was.

Could vampires suffer from withdrawls?

All she knew is that he made her feel as if nothing else mattered but what they were doing in the present. She wanted him back... God... She would do anything to get him back.

So when the unnamed vampire asked what she wanted he snorted. "You couldn't give me what I want. You couldn't give me that in a million years." She wanted Corrigan, that was all she wanted.

"But what can you offer me? You might be able to spark my interest with something, but you better put me in a good mood before you make the offer. Otherwise I'll hunt you down and fuck you all over ten ways from Sunday." She threatened.

Toryas - January 7, 2008 07:57 PM (GMT)
Hammer eyed her calmly as she ordered him out of her chair. Instead of doing so, he simply folded his hands over his stomach, saying, "Or? Going to make a scene, cap'n?" For the first time, the cocky, arrogant manner seemed to drop away - at least a little. "Ask nicely, and I might consider it."

He wasn't just being obstinate or trying to irrtate her. He was trying to make a subtle point. This was her territory, but that didn't bother him.

"If I can't give you what you want, well, what else can I offer? Great bloody bushels of money? Well, damn nearly. Advancment? We could wrangle that." Hammer shrugged, gazing meditatively at the ceiling as he thought, then he smiled thinly, suggesting, "Someone to do all your bloody paperwork for you?"

Vixey - January 8, 2008 04:45 AM (GMT)
Well this was her territory, but he wasn't going to push her around. "Get out of my chair, or we'll find out if you're allergic to silver... And if that doesn't work, you'd be surprised how effective little wooden stakes can be."

But Jaxon cocked an eyebrow as he began to list things off that he thought she wanted, and when he was done she snorted impatiently.

"None of those things are even close to what I want. I don't care about money... I'm content at where I am, and paperwork helps the night go by faster. You couldn't bring Corry back to me, and he's the only thing on earth I really want." She said simply, moving to the door about to open it.

"He gave me everything I needed, everything I wanted. He was the only man who ever could. You can't do that... You can't give me what he could. You can't give me what I need." Jax said simply. "So until you can, you better keep your nose out of trouble, otherwise we'll be meeting in a much different fashion next time."

Toryas - January 9, 2008 12:28 AM (GMT)
Hammer's grin didn't so much as flicker as she threatened him - yet again. "Di'n't I say you couldn't threa'en me, little lady? Think I did. Normally I wouldn't mind much, but it's getin' a little one-note."

"You know, I'm surprised at you, Cap'n Synclair. Not disappointed, oh not atall. Halfways 'spected you to turn me down," he fiddled idly with a decorative letter opener on her desk. "But I thought you'd be the type to stand on principle when ya told me no. Can't hurt innocents and what all."

He tapped the letter opener on the desk. "Surprised me," Hammer repeated. Then he laughed. "No skin offa mine, s'pose. Don't worry, I won't be killin' anyone on the way out."

Hammer got up, holding on to the silver instrument as if he'd forgoten it, as he headed towarsd the door. Glancing down, he laughed, "sorry." He turned to lay it back on the desk, then, faster than the eye could track, spun back, one ham-sized hand manacling hers on the door and wrenching it upwards as the other drove her face into the door with the tip of the letter opener at the back of her neck. "I've been doing this since before you were born," he clenched his hand just a little tighter. "Since before your loving uncle was beating your dear mum to death. We meet again, little woman, and it'll be in a different fashion indeed," he rasped in her ear.

Then he was gone, just like that.

Vixey - January 9, 2008 01:26 AM (GMT)
"Well if I can't threaten you, why do a few little words bother you? As I'm sure you've noticed, I was in a rather foul mood before you came and well, your charming presence hasn't really made my day any better I dare say." She said with a fake, sweet smile.

Jax didn't say anything as he mocked her. Because that was what he was doing. Mocking her. Fucking bastard...

With eyes narrowed she moved back to her desk as he got up. But she soon found herself pressed against the wall, a sharp point at the back of her neck. She wasn't allergic to silver herself, but if he damaged her neck or head... She'd probably not survive.

Her heart wasn't racing with fear though. It was racing with something... Something that she hadn't felt since Corrigan last threw her to the floor after tearing her clothing off. She nearly sighed with want as he pressed himself against her.

But she gasped as he tightened his hold on her wrist and as he spoke of her mother... Her... All the strength went out of her...

How... How did he know? How did he know about that...?

Just as she was about to ask him he was gone. After he left she rushed out after him. "Get back here!" She called out in a growl. "Get back here you son of a bitch!"

Toryas - January 14, 2008 01:32 AM (GMT)
Hammer waited until he was well away from the police station and on a secure line before calling Father. He closed his eyes, allowing the phone to ring three times before hanging up. Hammer only had to wait a few moments before he was called back. He picked up, but remained silent.

Father's voice, scratched by something in the connection, came to him as cheerful and light, with an affected but nearly authentic British accent. "Jack, my boy. How nice of you to call your old man. How are you doing?"

Hammer injected cheer into his own voice. "I'm good, Father. Just calling to say I visited Aunt Jax today."

"Oh? And how is my dear sister-in-law doing?"

Tapping his fingers against the phone casing, Hammer replied, "Good. Sends you her regards but says she won't be able to join us for the summer."

Father paused, before replying. "Well, that's too bad, isn't it? I was looking forward to having her over." He sighed. "Tell her I miss her when you see her again, will you? Everybody does."

Hammer smiled slightly. "Of course, Father. Talk to you later," he replied, listening to Father's benign reply before hanging up. He stood quietly for a moment, before getting back into his car. Pulling open a hidden compartment, he studied the .45 for a moment.

Bullets couldn't kill her, of course, but they should do nice things to her kneecap. Even a vampire would be disabled by that. "Jaxon Synclair," Hammer murmured to himself, pushing the compartment shut again. "You and I are going to have some fun times."

Vixey - January 14, 2008 01:48 AM (GMT)
Fucking beat cops... They were all just dumb asses these days... Wouldn't know how to write a report if they had someone holding their hand.

Kicking the door open lightly for her strength she rubbed her eyes shifting her bag on her back. She hadn't brought the bike today, needed to hunt before she came so she'd walked it. Not all that far really, and when she could leap from roof to roof.

But right now she was so agitated from everything that day.

Mostly with that ass who'd come in and then just waltzed out after offering her a 'job' covering the ass of an illegal business. But he... Fuck... How did he know about her family? About her mother... Her brother... Drake...

"Fucking bastard...." Jax muttered as she then ran her hand through her short hair.

Well she shouldn't see him again. That was really the only good thing. She should just forget about him. That damn vampire. He was older, she knew that. But she didn't give a shit. No one fucked with her mind. She'd kill him if she saw him again. Kill him...

Or get a fuck like she hadn't had in a while.

He was dangerous. She could tell, but she didn't care. What did she have to lose? Besides... If he were smart... He'd take advantage of what he had been told. It was simple enough really. If he was smart enough to figure it out.

Toryas - January 14, 2008 06:01 PM (GMT)
Hammer drove back to his house, pulling the .45 from the car compartment before heading inside. His cover had a license for a concealed weapon, so he didn't worry about the gun in the car. Silencers, however, were illegal and he didn't risk keeping one in his vehicles.

Walking to the gun closet, which had a combination lock, Hammer spun the dial to open it. There was nothing too eye-popping inside. A bolt-action hunting rifle, a 20-gauge birding shotgun, some other assorted hunting guns. It would be stupid to keep the high-power and/or illegal stuff out in the open.

As a vampire, Hammer had little need for firearms, but he enjoyed them and they were great when he needed distance. He opened the false wall in the gun closet and behind it was his small but nasty collection. There was a Colt AR-15, the civvy version of the M-16; an M40A3 sniper rifle, standard issue of the USMC; a pistol-grip 10-gauge shotgun; and several other fun little toys. Hammer pondered over the M40 for a moment, but decided to go with his original idea nd pulled out a heavy black tube, a silence for the .45, instead.

Tucking both gun and silencer out of the way, he stepped back outside. He'd leave the car for this; Hammer preferred the run.

It didn't take him long to reach Synclair's apartment, even though his place was on another side of the city altogether. Hammer leaned casually against the brick wall of a building across the street, screwing the silencer into the Colt. Now there was but to wait.

Vixey - January 14, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
Jax really wasn't paying attention as she walked back to her apartment. It wasn't a home... Not really anymore. Not since Henri left. She... She missed him far more than she thought she ever would have... Missed having someone to come home to, someone who would be happy to see her again.

Someone had told her to get a dog when Henri had 'gone to live with his parents'... But she wasn't sure that was really a good idea. Jax had worked with dogs on the force... And she didn't care for them all too much. Those particular dogs weren't too affectionate... But maybe she could find one. It would also be someone to keep an eye on the house.

She was just about home, in the same block really, when she stopped and hesitated for a moment.

There was someone around... But Jax didn't see them where she was. Slipping her hand into an inside pocket she moved the hand gun to the outside pocket in her hand, clicking the safety off. Who the fuck was it?

The scent was off... One that was jangling a little bell, but she couldn't really recall. "Shit..." She muttered softly as she headed towards her apartment. No reason to hide right?

Toryas - January 15, 2008 10:57 PM (GMT)
Hammer held his hands casually in his the pockets of his thick leather jacket. To any random observer, he would simply look as if he was trying to keep them warm in this frigidly cold weather. At least it wasn't raining, he thought absently, less bothered by the cold than a normal human might have been but still feeling it.

His blue eyes, as icy as the air, sharpened as he saw Jaxon again, sliding appraisingly over her hair, her body. She had a good one. From the tightness of her shoulders and the slight shift and pause, Hammer figured she knew he was around but not where he was exaclty.

That was fine.

Hammer raised the gun, aiming quickly and precisely at the back of her right knee, and pulled the trigger. The silencer turned the thunder of the big bullet into a soft hiss. A caliber like this, from this distance? It'd turn her knee into something similar to splinters and not even a vampire could heal that very quickly.

Vixey - January 15, 2008 11:08 PM (GMT)
Sure the silencer did it's job. Or it would have if she had been human. But as her senses were keen, she heard it as if it the silencer hadn't even been on. But she had heard it too late, trying to leap out of the way didn't help even slightly. She was fast, but not faster than a bullet.

The pain was almost instantaneous with the shot, her knee feeling as if someone had taken a hammer to it, smashing it in.

With a cry Jax hit the ground, pulling her knee up to her chest with a scream of pain, a how of frustration as she recognized the scent. It was the vampire. The vampire who'd been in her office! What the hell was he doing here?!

Jax couldn't move though. The pain in her knee was overwhelming, and she was a slow healer. This might even take a few days to heal. Not even over night, but probably three or four. "Fucking bastard!" She hissed angrily. "Come out and show our face you damn coward! Fucking asshole!" She growled, breathing in sharp ragged hisses of air, trying to ignore the pain.

Toryas - January 15, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
Hammer aimed the gun again, this time training it at her head as he contemplated just pulling the trigger a couple more times and doing his job quickly and coldly. Again with a gun this high of a caliber he could literally blow her head off.

But he didn't. Instead, he quickly unscrewed the silencer and tucked it and the gun back into his pockets. Hammer approached from behind, quickly and silently as he figured she probably still had her serivce piece on her and he didn't want to be shot himself (the pain was no problem, but it would be a damn nuisance).

Swiftly, he stepped one gargantuan boot on one arm, then lifted the revolver and tucked it away. Hammer moved quickly, almost a blur, and efficiently, slapping a piece of duct tape over her mouth to muffle or cut off any screams.

Then he grinned, squeezing her shattered knee with one of his mammoth paws. "'Lo again, Cap'n Synclair," he said cheerfully as he began to drag her out of sight of the street.

Vixey - January 15, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
Even with the pain she heard him coming from behind, but the moment she drew her gun to aim up at him but she cried out again as he stepped on her arm, wrenching it into a painful position that arms usually didn't go into. So she rolled over to look up him and that was just as painful really.

"You son of a bitch! I'm going to fucking kill yo-" But her threats were cut off by the duct tape slapped over her mouth.

She was just about to rip it off with her other hand when he squeezed her knee, making her writhe in pain.

And before she knew it she was being dragged out of the street, her screams of pain muffled.

Oh, she was going to kill him, first chance she got she'd snap his neck and tear him to pieces. Why the fuck was he doing this? She just said to keep his ass out of trouble and she'd leave him alone. Was that too hard to understand? Or perhaps too hard for him to follow. Fucking bastard... She'd kill him for sure. She didn't care what she had to do, she'd kill him.

Toryas - January 19, 2008 11:40 PM (GMT)
"Don' have much 'perience with gangs, do ya, Cap'n?" Hammer asked conversationally, dragging her by her arms so she couldn't use them to fight back. "D'you really think that we'd try to getcha to turn dirty for us and then just take 'no' for an answer?" He shook his head ruefully. "Not so good for business, you see. Say you go to your bosses or just open your mouth at all... Nah, not so good for business atall."

Now that they were safely out of sight of the street, Hammer let her drop rather unceremoniously to the dirty ground of the ally. He smiled and it wasn't a particularly nice one, tapping his bloody fingers against his belt. "So I get to kill you. Rather effective way of making sure that pretty little mouth stays shut, you see.

He stepped over her so one foot was to either side, then knelt and grabbed her by the hair. "But first," Hammer trailed his finger down the side off her throat, "I get to have a little fun." Pausing, he grinned again and gave her a little squeeze. "Won't that be nice?"

Vixey - January 19, 2008 11:51 PM (GMT)
She was helpless as he drug her along the ground, her hands unable to do anything, one busted up leg and her mouth taped. Shit... How did she get into this hopeless situation? Why hadn't she been paying attention? Oh yeah, she'd been irritated by his earlier visit.

As he dumped her on the ground she tore of the tape, holding the scream back. But he was standing over her then and she could only smirk up at him, a chess player admitting they had been out maneuvered.

But she groaned as he grabbed her hair, pulling her head back and caressed her throat. "Oh good. At least I get one last fuck before I die. Pity it has to be with your little four inch mushroom dick." She grinned, gasping slightly as he squeezed.

"C'mon buddy do your worst. You can't hurt me." She chuckled, grinning with full fangs up at him. "But I guess if you're gonna kill me when you're done, I've only got a few minutes left to live... What, five tops?"

Funny... even when faced with her very real death... She grinned sardonically and greeted it with open arms almost.

Toryas - January 20, 2008 12:05 AM (GMT)
Hammer clapped a hand over his chest as she insulted him. "Oh, a sharp tongue still," he said with a grin, tugging slightly on her hair, "be still my heart." Dragging her up by the soft locks, he kissed her hard, almost hoping she'd bite him. What good was a conquest without a struggle? "But don't you know? It's not the size of the hammer that's important... it's the nail," he continued, shifting to trail his lips over her throat.

Laughing again, he pulled back, backhanding her full across the face. "Five minutes? With your body? Believe me, cap'n, it's not exciting enough to have me pop in five." Hammer's fangs slid down as well as she grinned at him and he fisted his hand around her wrist, pulling her arm up so he could sink them into the soft skin.

"Besides..." he jerked his head to open the tear wide as he sucked at the wound. "Who said fun meant fucking?"

Vixey - January 20, 2008 12:20 AM (GMT)
Jaxon returned the rough kiss, moaning with a deeper hunger as she gripped his hips tightly. Was it wrong to have a little action before she died? Hell... She'd rather go out in a fight, or in bed, than die any other way.

She cried out as she hit the ground again, but not because of the slap, that hardly phased her, but her shattered knee twisted as she felt, making her body spasm with pain. But she pushed herself up again, hissing with the pain. "That's only because you haven't seen it." She said raising her eyebrows with amusement. "And you haven't felt it." Should she tell him that she was turned a virgin still? Nah, she'd let him figure that one out himself.

Wincing with pain as he pulled her roughly, the pain seemed to leave as he sank his fangs into her arm, tearing the wound further. She knew she was a masochist of sorts... Why else did she still want Corrigan? Why had she stayed with him so long, waiting for what?

"Consider it a last request..." She moaned as her eyes fluttered slightly. "A last meal of sorts." A grin flickered across her face. The scent of the blood was intoxicating, even if it was her own. "C'mon... Whadaya say? I'm tighter than those whores you probably love." Her words were a soft but thick growl as she leaned against him. "Besides, wouldn't you get off killing me as you're about to come?" She snapped at his earlobe, tearing two red lines in the flesh, smelling his blood with her own.

Toryas - January 21, 2008 07:33 PM (GMT)
Hammer grinned again, the harsh lines of his face splitting and twisting into an even harsher look than usual - more a snarl, almost. "Do you like it when you're tossed around, Cap'n Synclair?" he asked mockingly pleased. Gripping her by her shirt Hammer dragged her up, up to his eye level. "Got a name for people like that, I do believe," he mused one hand keeping her upright as the other one wandered its way down to her hip.

He laughed again as she ripped at his ear and let go allowing her to fall to the dirtly earth once again. "Oh, really? And what makes you better fuck than any common whore? Most o' them are tight enough." Hammer's lips peeled back into another smile. "Or... should I just be pleased to pop that you can fight back? Take anything I wanna dish out and the bloody like? Can't kill too easily, in any case. Idn't like I'm gonna rip your head off in the throes."

Truth be told, he had been thinking of fucking her before he killed her. Why not? His dick had been trapped in his Jockeys for much too long nad, as he'd said, she'd be hard to kill. Still and all, she was a cop.

Vixey - January 21, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
"Yeah... I do." She grinned impishly before falling to the ground, glaring up at him slightly. "What makes me better?" She gave a little snort as she pushed herself off of the ground. "Why don't you just come on and figure it out for yourself. But you should know I can take what you might even want to do to me. Even if I was turned before I ever had sex." She grinned. "Fuck me all you want, and I'll still be as tight as ever." She licked her lips like a satisfied cat as she stood on one leg.

"Not to mention... I own my own handcuffs, real ones too." She raised her eyebrows playfully. "Just help me up to my room and You can toss me about like a fucking doll if you want."

She hissed with pain as she put her foot down for a moment to balance herself, and leaned against the brick wall.

"Shit... Did you have to blow my fucking knee out?" She muttered, leaning her head back against the wall. It was the first real complaint from her, but damn, she'd put up with enough hadn't she? And she'd have to deal with it for a few days yet... "I'm not the fastest of healers... This could take a fucking week to clear up." She muttered. "But hell, if you're gonna kill me, at least I won't have to deal with it." A grin crossed her face as she leaned against the wall, standing on one leg.

Toryas - January 29, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
"Oooh, now there's an intriguing thought. All the sex in the world and no one would be any the wiser that you ain't as pure as the wind-driven snow." Hammer grinned. "There's an interesting thought for you."

"Handcuffs, is it? Now then, are you telling me you can't break a little pair of cuffs?" he shook his head a little. "Tha's almost disappointing iffit's true." He watched as she gingerly tested out the leg, shrugging carelessly in response. "Hell, I just figured it was the easiest way to get you down. Course if I'd a known your reaction, well... I'd a tried another way."

He let his dick do too much thinking for him. Hammer realized this, but dumped Jaxon over his shoulder anyway. "Which floor?" he asked, giving her rear a pat. He seemed to be taking her up on her offfer.

“Damn right… And God does it ever feel good.” She had to grin at the thought. And also that she’s sworn to kill him too. Well now… Things were going a bit backwards, but she still had time to figure something out… “Every time feels like the first time of course… God I miss Corrigan… He was a fucking bastard, but he always made me feel so good.” She suddenly smirked then.

“Kinda like you actually. Running a nice little drug operation and god knows what else, but unlike you, he knew what I needed. What I wanted.” Jaxon chuckled darkly. “But no… I can break them of course. If I want to. But if I don’t try to, or if I keep myself from breaking them, it’s fun. Corrigan didn’t get it… But… Sometimes… I hate being in control and I-” She gave a soft sigh as she ran her hand through her hair.

But she cried out as Hammer grabbed her roughly and hauled her over his shoulder. Well, didn’t she said she liked it a little rough? Well hell… not with her knee like this…

“Oh would you have now? Well what would have that way been pray tell?” She asked with a huff as she propped her elbow on his shoulder blade, holding her chin up. “Third floor, second on the left.” She sighed. So… Was he really going to fulfill her last request? Or was he just going to kill her somewhere more quiet? Make it look more natural?

“How… How did you know about my parents…” She asked softly, curious now. “How did you know about Drake and the rest?”

Toryas - February 2, 2008 09:39 PM (GMT)
Hammer agilely began to scale the fire-escape, though he listened with half an ear to what Jaxon was saying. "Well, how am I supposed to know what gets your pipes flowing, love?" he asked with a frown, "Unlike Corrigan I've not had a chance to plumb those particular depths, now have I?" Hammer wasn't actually perturbed, he just didn't seem able to follow the cop's thought process.

Or, perhaps, lack thereof.

Counting windows, he was silent for a moment as he jimmied the lock on hers. He was good at those sorts of things. No one would be able to tell it had been tampered with if they weren't exceptionally good. Of course, if he decided to not kill her it didn't really matter, but he hadn't decided yet. Not for sure, in any case.

Not taking any pains to be gentle, Hammer hauled Jaxon through the window, still arguing with himself. More accurately the part of him that actually had a brain was arguing with the very influential part that didn't.

"I was told," he replied shortly, dumping her on the bed. He had blood all down his front. Hammer leaned back against the dresser, eyeing Jaxon as if she were a curiousity. "So, tell me, why so bloody blase about possible death?"

Vixey - February 2, 2008 10:37 PM (GMT)
She was cursing under her breath as he hauled her up the fire escape and through the window of her apartment.

"Couldn't you take the stairs and ask for the key like an intelligent being? Or do you have shit for brains?" She muttered as she glared at him from the bed.

But her face blanked, her eyes blinking as she thought of his question.

"I... I guess I've just accepted death since I was little. It's always been a part of my life." She bit her lip slightly, but then shook her head. "But I guess if you were just told, hadn't seen my memories or anything... You wouldn't really understand."

Gritting her teeth she bent over her leg and tore the fabric of the jeans off to examine the wound closer. Damn it was a mess... Knee cap was shattered... The blood seemed to have slowed at least.

With a grimace of pain, she straightened the limb and tore the leg of her jean into wide strips. Binding the leg straight she had a feeling it wasn't going to last all that long, but maybe to help it a little on the way now...

"Even after Henri turned me, I knew I wasn't going to live forever. I knew that it wasn't my fate to do something like that. So... I tried to kill myself. Once he left, I had no one. Corrigan had left me for some damn reason or another, and Henri had gone after his sire to kill him. Did they tell you I tried to kill myself? Fuck knows how many times. But nothing worked. And when I killed Drake... I felt even more hollow. After all... Fucked up or not... He was the only other person who knew me..." She gave a shrug and lay back on the pillows, closing her eyes.

Toryas - February 27, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
"Apparently I have shit for brains," Hammer responded sarcastically. Never knew when somebody was hanging aorund the lobby of an apartmetn building or someone happened to be walkilng by on the street. And her with a fucking hole in her knee the size of a fist. Not his fist, because his fist was huge, but her fist maybe.

Listening to her speak, he leaned against the wall, his enormous biceps bulging as he crossed his arms over his brawny chest. "Quite the sob story. Not to say it idn't all sad and shit, but, I don' get it. You're a fuckin' vampire, luv." Hammer grinned fiercely. "I know what feeling hollow is like. Don't anymore. Filled all the empty spots with blood. Helps to have a clear-cut agenda. Can't call it a mission. I get to do what I's wanna do and I get paid a mint to do it."

Grinning again, he propped his hip against her dresser. "Fuck all the pretty girls and tear their throats out. Crack some heads. Life is good." He squinted at Jaxon. "Not a bloodthirsty tupe? I ge tthat. Can't do much to help ya in tha' case, though."

Vixey - February 27, 2008 01:10 AM (GMT)
"Blood thirsty? No... Can't say I am. I guess it wasn't a part of my Sire, so it wasn't a part of me. I have a feeling things like that are passed on. But hell... What do I know." She sighed, siting up again.

"I guess I don't have a clear cut agenda either. Just go to work... Plod along... Come home. But I guess when I was human... And Drake was still alive, I had something to live for. But now? Now it all just seems useless. Which is why I guess I don't mind death. Besides, how bad can dying in bed be?" She grinned then, though it was empty and forced.

With death now facing her... Well it didn't seem any different. Like the night she wrecked her bike speeding out of the city. She hadn't cared...

"So... I think I already know the answer, but are you the kind that just likes to get down and dirty, or do you like to have a little bit more fun first?" She asked, ignoring her knee as she moved off of the bed. It wouldn't hurt for too much longer anymore. It wouldn't hurt forever.

Toryas - February 27, 2008 01:25 AM (GMT)
"How bad can it be?" Hammer echoed, tapping his fingers on his forearms. "Dunno. Great Beyond and what all. Big empty." In some ways, Hammer might have been more afraid of death than a human. Immortality was the main gift of being a vampire, but it was also something he clung to.

But he was more afraid of emptiness, of being and doing nothing, night after night. Purposelessness, in a sense, was what he feared more than death. And while he didn't have purpose, exactly, he had something. He filled his nights with movement, with hot gouts of blood, with the powerful thrill of sex. And that was enough.

He eyed her bloody leg as she shifted towards him. "Can't do much dancin' yet, girl," he commented with a shrug. "And you'd probably bite me if I wanted it that way. How much fun could I possibly have?"

Vixey - February 27, 2008 01:38 AM (GMT)
Jax gave a hollow sort of laugh as he called death the 'big empty'. "No different than here then huh?" She muttered, testing out her leg slightly as she made her way towards him.

"Dancing? I'm tougher than I look. I've been hurt a lot worse than this hun. But you're right. I wouldn't blow you to save my life." She raised an eyebrow at the irony. "Or even pretend to to bite it off. Then we'd see who'd be in more pain."

She chuckled as she slid her arms around his neck, half as an invitation, half to support herself.

"C'mon... Send me out with a bang baby." She said with a soft growl as she flicked her tongue at his ear. "Fuck me to oblivion, and don't let me come back." She began to kiss along his neck, her small fangs scraping almost delicately over his cool flesh. "At least I won't die alone." She added, a soft whisper against his neck as her hands moved over his chest lightly.

Toryas - March 10, 2008 05:04 PM (GMT)
Hammer showed no real reaction as Jaxon draped herself over him. Only his eyes moved, flickering down to look at her face as she lifted it up to his, before it shifted and she ran her tongue over his ear. "If you're that desperate for emptiness, luv, maybe I should just get it over with," he murmured, one big hand shifting to tease the soft skin on her throat.

He chuckled and pushed her back, away from him. "Come on, darling, don't you know everybody dies alone?" Hammer asked, knocking her back onto the bed. Lazily he let one hand trail to her wounded knee, skimming his fingers over the bloody wrap.

Vixey - March 10, 2008 06:27 PM (GMT)
"Emptiness... Peace... Take your pick." She said with a soft sigh.

As he pushed her back, her leg nearly gave way, making her crumple back on to the bed. But she didn't cry out, didn't make a noise. "True... But I'd rather die with someone near by."

Jax nearly moaned as he brushed down her leg, but she winced, hissing slightly as he brushed her knee. It didn't hurt really, just stung.

"Oh, won't you be gentle at least for a bit? Stop being such a brute." Grinning slightly she curled her fingers into his hair and pulled him down to her, kissing him eagerly. Damnit, she was going to get some action before she died. She hadn't had any in a while, and Well, death wouldn't be so bad if she were going out like this.

She could still dance, could still fight. She wasn't out of commission yet. Hell if she really didn't want it to, her knee might not even bother her. But well, now was a good time to feel human, to feel vulnerable. It was something she didn't experience much anymore, and it was almost unnerving.

Toryas - March 13, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
"I heard a fly buzz--when I died," Hammer said, the line appearing to amuse him greatly. "That's what death is, honey, flies buzzing in your ear. But I guess you'd know that as well as I do." He lowered his big body over hers. "We've both died once. Di'n't stick." he mumbled in her ear, skimming his lips from her earlobe to her chin.

His hand didn't move from her knee as she chastised him, and he gave it the lightst of squeezes. "Oh, you know you love a brute," Hammer countered, releasing her to lick the smears of blood from his fingers. "They all do, deep down." Placing his hands on her chest, he grabbed a fistful of her shirt, using it first to pull her towards him for a harsh kiss, then ripped it open.

He kept his mouth on hers but one hand dipped down to test the softness of her flesh, pleased with what he felt.

Vixey - March 23, 2008 01:10 PM (GMT)
"And now it's my turn again." She mused as she leaned her head back, giving her access to her neck.

But his next words were true. More true than he probably knew, because as he squeezed her knee the gasp and groan wasn't entirely of pain. No, she loved a brute... She loved the strength of vampires. She was in control so much... She had so much power of all sorts at her fingertips, and now... Now it was gone. In the blink of an eye he had taken it away from her, made her human once more.

She gave another groan as she found herself pulled off of the bed as he yanked her by her shirt, falling back as it was ripped open for his hands to explore.

They were aggressive, demanding... And it made her moan eagerly even as she continued to kiss him, her fingers curling into his hair roughly. He wasn't being gentle, so why should she?

Her good leg came up to wrap around him, pulling his body closer to hers. She wouldn't die alone... Someone would know what happened to her. And she had been able to chose her way out just about... He might drain her dry as he fucked her, killing her slowly as she slipped into a peaceful sleep... Or he might snap her neck, killing her in an instant. But she would die in her home... With someone there to hold her before. She wouldn't be alone, no matter what he thought.

Toryas - March 28, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
Hammer grinned at her words. "We few, we happy few, who are fuckin' blessed to die twice or not at all." His mouth had better things to do that speak, and he trailed his lips lowar, sucked hard at her sweet breasts. He growled slightly as she yanked at his hair, his massive hand coming up to chain hers together and slam them tightly to the bed.

Much better.

His other hand dipped lower, even as his busy teeth nipped painfully against her tender skin. Hammer didn't bother unbottuning her jeans, he simply ripped them open, his brutal fingers digging between her legs.

He gave no thought to whether she felt pleasure or not. Why would he? His hands worked at her soft flesh, and he hardened at the feel of the silky, helpless skin beneath his fingers.

Vixey - March 29, 2008 01:39 AM (GMT)
Jaxon tried to protest as he took her hands form his hair and pinned them above her head. She wanted to touch him, to dig her nails into his flesh as he would dig in deep to her.

But as she opened her mouth to argue, the first nip came, making her gasp with a sharp pleasure. As he continued she groaned with delight, and finally did speak, but it wasn't to criticize him. "Harder..." She murmured "God bite me harder..." She very nearly begged.

With a rough jerk and the rip of thick fabric she felt her jeans mostly gone, laying in a few large pieces around her. She would have gotten mad... But she already ruined them, and she would be dead after tonight anyway, so what was the point?

Besides, his rough and demanding hands had begun to explore other areas, making her body jerk and gasp.

But she had to ask... She wanted just to get under his skin...

"Is this all you got?" She groaned. "Is this all you can do to me huh? After all your talk this is the best you got baby?"

Toryas - April 30, 2008 05:05 PM (GMT)
"Oh shuddup," Hammer muttered in half-irritation. He dragged his fangs through her flesh, his tongue over the bloody tracks. "That's a bloody woman for you, talking when there's more interesting things to be done with her mouth." So saying, he planted a kiss on hers, partly in annoyance and partly in desire.

He kicked off his own jeans. Hammer wasn't much for foreplay. He liked to jump straight to the man even. And why not? That was what the dance led up to, and the dance wasn't half as fun as the show. Hammer ripped his way into her, his fangs catching on her collarbone as he thrust forward.

"Fucking bitch, aren't you?" he mumbled against the bleeding skin. "Ornery as a wasp."

Vixey - May 1, 2008 04:39 AM (GMT)
"Well then why don't you make me shut up and fuck me like you were bragging you could." She growled, returning the kiss fiercely.

Her nails dug in to his shoulders as he pushed hard against her. She gasped in pain as he suddenly jarred her knee, probably by accident. But it still hurt like hell.

She gasped again, her body arching with pleasure as he bit into her and pushed into her all at once. It was a wonderful feeling unlike anything she'd felt in a long time. The pain and pleasure shot through her body mingling as one. Good or bad, she couldn't tell... But it felt fucking fantastic.

Her good leg wrapped around his waist, helping her hips to match his rhythm.

"Damn right..." She gasped with his thrusts. "You Stupid.. ass... bastard..." She growled into his hair. Her nails dug into his flesh, her teeth bit at his ear. It was going to be the last night of her life, she was going to enjoy what she could.
