Title: Strawberries in Season
Description: for Pandora :D

Strawberry...

That's what Ariel thought when she saw him. Strong- tall- a good fight if she let him- dark eyes- red hair- fair skin- a blush in the cheeks... Yeah.

Strawberry...

"Come here...." she whispered under her breath, inaudible as the train clambered into the station, the wheels squealing with delight- ready to fly again- faster and faster through the haunted darkness. The man walked onto the train- looking a bit out of place in his suit. It was a late night and he must have spent a long while at the office before leaving. The only humans Ariel had seen lately were hobos- incapable of the fight and the challenge she desired.

The man's suit was black and the tie was black as well- It looked great with the red hair. Definitely not a Greek boy- what would her mother say? A smirk spread across her lips as she stepped onto the train behind him- blending in with the other less fortunate on the subway. She wore a baggy T-shirt that had a picture of Cruela DeVille on it and ripped jeans paired with ratty red sneakers.

Her own honey brown eyes met his dark ones as her long blonde hair fell over her eyes. She gave him a smirk and walked closer to him- before stopping and taking hold of the train. She gripped the pole beside her- not one for sitting but for the thrill of the ride.

A few seconds more and the doors closed. The familiar sensation of being jerked forward took hold and suddenly they were speeding into the darkness and shadows- the only comfort the poor mortals had were the lights that flickered within the compartment. Ariel smiled- content for the moment not to make a move. She had all night. And she intented to make use of it.

Chi had already been on the subway when she was joined by the man in the suit and the other vampire. Yes there were hobos around, yet they stood clear of her. It was perhaps the way she sat there, unmoving and still as a statue. It unnerved the other subway riders. One had reached out to touch her and she had turned her head to look at him, moving only her head and giving him a blank look. It had deterred him and he had left her alone.

It probably look like she was doing nothing at all, but she was actually very busy. She had created, as soon as she was a telekinetic, a fold in space and in there she stored her most precious items, gems and items from different time periods. She was separating them, deciding which she should keep and which she should get rid of. It was like a vault and the only one that could get in was her.

She closed her connection to the fold in space and opened her eyes, to look at the other female vampire. Unlike her, Chi was better dressed, most of the unfortunate knew it and knew that she had money, but they steered clear of her.

ooc- i thnk ariel and chi met before but i dont remember ah amnesia *holds head* ow lol.

Ariel flinched as the train jolted and she lost her balance- supposedly. Her eyes fell upon the ancient. Better dressed.... yes- Dangerous.... a familiar face.
Ariel met the other's eyes and stared- she couldn't help it. THey had met before- a park bench? A park somewhere.... yes- They had talked- but she didn't remember about what.... what was her name? Ariel racked her brian and grumbled- one eyes still focused on Strawberry.

"Have we met?" she asked, moving around a bit so she was between the woman and the prey, making sure she could keep a rapt attention to both.

She was so old. It made Ariel's bones ache a little bit. She licked her lips. Tasty. She loved bad ass vampires who could kill her with one swipe. Woopdy doo! She was a lucky one. However, she was pretty sure this one wasn't going to slit her throat right now- but you could never be sure- psychotic was almost a requirement of being an old piece of vampire shit.

Chi's eyes didn't blink and she stared at the other undeterred. What did she care what the other thought and what did she care if the other thought her as strange? Truthfully she didn't care.

She frowned at the other's question. Had they met before? It was more than likely, Chi had met her fair share of vampires and it was more than likely that she had seen this one...somewhere. She gazed at the other, her brow furrowed. She shook her head, her frown vanishing. "It's likely that we have, yet I can't recall where."

She shifted her body and the skirt she wore flitted around her. It was a pale silver and matched the straight hair that went down her back. She flicked a strand of hair back and turned her chocolate colored gaze to the other.

"I think we have" Ariel murmured, thoughtfully- one eye on the man she was hunting. She gave a small smile towards the smaller woman.
"I'm Ariel" she introduced, a bit sure it wasn't the first time.
The subway train sped along- the G-forces racking Ariel's body. This was one of the stranger things of America- of present times. The train was so fast. She had never really gotten used to it. Ah well. Beggers and hungry vampires couldn't be choosers.

The red-haired man shifted slightly, feeling her gaze upon him. Had he realized she was following yet? Had he?
Ah no- just a suspicion. No real fear coursed through him. No fear sped his heart rate- thumped along his throat as a quickened pulse. No- he did not know--- just yet.

Suspicion, unlike knowledge, was nothing to fear.

Chi lifted an eyebrow knowing that the other vampire - Ariel was it? - had her attentions divided. Never a good idea when spending time with an older vampire. They could turn crazy in an eye blink and Chi was bound to that. She was bound to simply change. You shouldn't divide your attention little one. It could be dangerous.

"I'm Chi." Amusement was on her face. How much longer are you going to watch him? Curious she was as well and was going to ask as many questions as she wanted until she got sick of them or until the person she asked them to got annoyed with her and stormed off. The second option usually didn't deter her.

Nikolaos - September 22, 2007 04:33 PM (GMT)
"Fine" Ariel said, turning to face Chi. "You have all of my attention Chi. It's lovely to meet you. I don't know how much longer- I will probally follow him when he gets off and then take him out to dinner." Ariel said, her voice flat.
"So- having a fine night?" she inquired, noting the amusement on the other woman's face. She'd be amused if she were that old and staring at someone so young. Ariel figured all oober-ancients were amused. They laughed at everything. Ariel faintly wondered if all the really old vampires ever went out together and simply laughed at the world and all its shortcomings.

Chi raised an eyebrow and again amusement flickered through them. Amusement seemed to be an emotion that flickered often through her eyes and sometimes appeared on her face. Everyday vampires, especially younger ones, amused her. Most vampires were younger than her anyways so they often qualified. "Aren't you the charming kind." Sarcasm was another of her gifts, but she usually teamed it with her amusement, it was more interesting that way.

"I'm riding the subway for the first time. It's very exciting and I can understand the thrill of it, but I do have a faster means of transportation. Everyone has to try at least once everything they can." Chi was working on that list, but it was a long one and thanks to mortals it kept getting longer. They were so creative.

Nikolaos - September 26, 2007 11:16 PM (GMT)
Ariel smiled. "The subway is fun" she commented. "It certainly is exciting" she added, looking out the window to witness a wild blurr of darkness. The subway screamed as it moved and Ariel swore it was almost like that of a human.

"I'm pleased you think I'm charming" Ariel replied with a smal smile. This Chi was amused with her- Fine. Let her be amused. She was younger- she knew that- and less powerful. Actually, Ariel was quite happy the other ancient wasn't pissed. Pissy ancients were so hard to deal with- besides the little bonus that pretty much all of them were crazy- this one too. But Ariel didn't have problems with crazy vampires. It was part of life. You get old, you go crazy- but most ancients had excellent control. This one seemed very composed- but Ariel was positive she had her moments.
"So- how long have you lived here and do you like it?" she asked, trying to make a nice little conversation. She was quite social when she wanted to be.

Pandora Lorrain - September 27, 2007 03:20 PM (GMT)
Chi's eyes drew a blank. As easy as it was for her to be amused, it was as easy for her to be annoyed and pissed. She wasn't quite that far yet, but she was getting there. "When I said that, I was being sarcastic. You have to learn to pick up on that." On a vampire that had flighty emotions, Ariel could have been badly hurt. Most flightier vampires were older, crazy didn't suit some very well.

Chi shrugged her shoulders. "I've been here for about a year and I like it. I have a lot of friends here as well as a fledgling. This city has much to offer and a lot of things to keep me interested. I love it." She did too, it was going to be 'home' for a bit, yet nothing was truly home anymore. Could someone call a place home, when they didn't what home was supposed to look like?
