Clementine had come to a realization about half past eight: She and Colton had not officially been dating, therefore could not have officially broken up. She now, since her outburst of tears and quick exit from the Ace High, had little if any hope of reconciliation, and for the past few weeks had been gloriously moping in her apartment.

It was while listening to her favourite jazz records that she had come to this epiphany. No breakup meant no reason to mourn. After all, Colton didn’t own her. She could still go out and enjoy herself. And she decided to do so with more determination than anticipation.

She quickly showered, dried her golden bobbed off curls, and applied careful makeup. Black liquid eyeliner, and oxblood red lips. Just like old times. She slipped into a little white dress she had made to gather at her small bust and flare out around her non-hips. Even now that the ideal body type had changed, Clementine was still proud of her flapper figure. She admired herself in the mirror for a few more minutes, striking several poses.

She made sure she had plenty of cash and cigarettes in her purse, slipped small pearl earrings into her ears, stepped into some shoes, and descended the steps of her apartment building.

Once on the pavement outside, she realized she had put more thought into getting ready than what she had been getting ready for. She decided she was not in the mood for dancing, and the Ace was definitely out of the question. She decided to take in a show. It was a warm night, so she turned herself around and started walking in the direction of The Last Curtain. She hoped there was an interesting show on tonight.

Niko was walking down the street, bored. It was something he despised within every fiber of his being, boredom. Nikolaus van Heimlichtun had been into things that would straighten the hair of these kids in the 1500's. But here he was, walking down the street, bored out of his skull. He was hungry too.

About half an hour later, he walked out of an alleyway, blood still on his chin. It had barely taken a word to lure a young lady down the alleyway, into the trap he'd laid. Well, she has the rest of eternity to think about her mistakes, he thought as he took one last look at the dead body. He wasn't hungry anymore, but he was still bored out of his ruddy mind. Suddenly, like the sun rising, an idea came to him; movie theatres are usually full of couples, and nothing was more fun than hitting on another guy's girl, kickin' the crap out of the guy, and then havin' the girl.

Grinning now, Niko made his way towards The Vision Cinema. When he got there, he bought a ticket for a cheesey vampire flick; the irony was part of the reason he chose it. Stepping into the theatre, he scanned it quickly, his superior eyes picking up all the details he needed. he was the only immortal in the theatre, at this point at least. He spotted a couple in the corner, the girl closer to the aisle. She was a buxom blonde with an hourglass shape to break a man's heart. Her boyfriend also fit the criteria; big, strong and stupid.

Making his way casually towards the pair, he sat down next to the girl, then set his arm over her shoulder. She looked at him in shock, and he winked at her. Her boyfriend looked at first her, and then him with a look full of rage and agression.

OOC| Only problem is that The Last Curtain is an old-school theater, not a movie cinema. No problem, though, I’ll just move the board to Vision Cinema when I get the chance. |

Clem paused outside the cinema and looked up at the electronic board that displayed the night’s offering. She wrinkled up her freckled nose at most of the selections, but giggled to herself when she read the last title. Her favourite vampire popcorn movie. Clementine was the type to appreciate irony.

She bought a ticket for one and slipped into the theater while the lights were still on and people were still talking amongst themselves. She skipped down the steps to an empty row, and chose a seat a few rows down from and a little less than center of a trio of an angry looking guy, a busty woman, and a man with his arm around her.

Clem wasn’t like most vampires. She didn’t scan rooms for the presence of others before she entered, and she didn’t attempt to purposely communicate with them even if she did happened to notice they were there. Many’s the time Clementine had sat unaware of her own kind in large gatherings of people, only to leave without realizing. It was because of this that Clem had a reputation of being slightly rude amongst immortal patrons of some of her regular haunts.

Despite her usual lack of awareness of her surroundings, since the movie hadn’t begun yet, she started to observe the people sitting in front of her, having nothing else to occupy herself with.

OOC-Majorly sorry. That was a little dumb of me...The Last Curtain. My apologies, again.

IC-Niko looked first at the agitated boyfriend, and then the girlfriend, who he just happened to have wrapped his arm around. He looked into her eyes, seeing mild shock, mixed with irritation and amusement, while his green eyes almost glowed with the mischief to come. It was a shockingly hungry-looking stare, almost as if he needed a fix for his craving of chaos.

"Well, I'd say your boyfriend is lost for words." Looking the young man up and down, he then muttered, "Big surprise," loud enough to be heard by everyone nearby. A ripple of laughs went through the area, with the blonde having to stiffle a giggle. The boyfriend's face turned a dangerous-looking red.

"You want me to stick you between my teeth, toothpick?" he grunted angrily through gritted teeth.

"Are you mad? The breath would be terrible! I'm half-dead over here!" he responded, a vicious grin forming on Niko's face.

The boyfriend was literally shaking with the considerable effort of containing his temper. He failed. Pulling back his hand, he threw a punch that would KO most mortals. It didn't even touch Niko.

"Gotta move a bit faster there, dumbass," Niko said, grinning. Grabbed the outstretched wrist, he then hurled the arrogant teenager over his shoulder and into the aisle. The blonde looked at him, amazed.

Niko attracted the attention of the rest of the audience with his antics, including Clementine’s. She turned her upper body in her seat to look back at the commotion. She raised an eyebrow when she saw only the astonished looking blonde and Niko – she distinctly remembered seeing another man there.

A slight frown flickered across her face as she realized the situation: another arrogant vampire playing with the power he had over mortals. Normally, Clementine did her best to avoid that type, but usually she had more room to avoid it in. Clem was a good little vampire; she respected the Amman’s authority and their unspoken rules regarding the secrecy of vampires’ existence. She had a feeling this could escalate, and she didn’t want it to be known she was there when it was happening.

She twisted her body further, moving from a sitting position to stand on her knees in her seat, facing Niko and the girl. She placed her hands on the back of her seat and titled her head to one side. “Maybe you should… not.” She said, looking directly at Niko with a half puzzled expression on her face.

She wasn’t sure exactly sure what she was doing; the tone of her voice wasn’t confrontational enough for it to be a threat, so Clementine decided that she was giving advice.

OOC-Sorry I've been gone so long. Been real busy.

Niko looked at the blonde vampire, appraising her. Young, spirited, a party-goer. Her slender frame would have been a hit in the 20s, but was still cute her in the 21st century. He looked at her, looking for a moment as though he would be defiant. However, he thought better of it.

"I was just being friendly, as this fine young lady can support," said Niko, grinning, the blonde meanwhile blushing. "He wanted a fight, so I gave him one. Still, you're right; it's not the time or place." Grabbing the big mortal by the wrist, he pulled him up on his feet, then pushed him into his chair. "Have a nice date, you two," he said politely, before whispering; "But if you get bored, cutie, look me up," then winking. The girl blushed once again, and the man curled his fist, but thought better of trying again.

Niko turned around, a huge, vicious grin on his face. "Well, little miss mortal-fan. Since you've robbed me of my entertainment, would you be willing to offer me recompensation in the form of a night with you?" he asked, arching and eyebrow questioningly. He pulled out a flask at his side, from which he took a long draft of moonshine. "That hit's the spot," he said cheerfully.
