Appearance: Nikolaus is 6’ 1’’, and extremely thin, almost wiry-looking; he weighs almost 190 lb. He has a head of rich, auburn hair that he wears short in back with long bangs, and a pair of almond-shaped green eyes. He typically wears a pair of black jeans with a black leather belt, and a pair of well-made leather shoes. He often wears a black leather jacket reaching just past his waist, able to be zippered up. Under the jacket he wears a purple T-shirt or sleeveless muscle shirt. He has several silver rings, and a silver disk amulet with a pentagram inscribed on it.

History: Nikolaus was born the son of a wealthy landsknecht mercenary captain, his mother dying at his birth. He was his father’s only child, and thus received all his attention, as well as wealth. Nikolaus was quite self-centred, focused on enjoying his rather opulent lifestyle, and his father encouraged him, only making sure his son was educated in history, literature, and several languages other than his native German; Latin, French, English and Russian. As he grew older, he served his father by dealing with the clientele; Nikolaus’ father was a far rougher man than his dignified, cultured son, and Nikolaus gave a better impression. However, mercenary to the core, he still taught Nikolaus how to fight. Nikolaus was 18, working for his father, when his life changed.

Nikolaus’ father was killed in a battle with an army of Irish religious fanatics in 1567, all his wealth going to Nikolaus. Nikolaus used it to start his career as a poet and writer, but most of it went into his favourite pastime; revelry and partying. He became known as something of a scandal among the older citizens of Hohenems, but the younger generation loved his parties, due to their lack of any form of decency or rules. This is what supposedly drew in his sire.

She was a Nephilim to the core, highly religious, and the scandal of the young Nikolaus offended her extremely. She came to one of his parties, seeking to teach this young man a better way. However, she was young for a vampire, and rather than taming Nikolaus, he managed to seduce her, if only for one night. The next morning, as she awoke and realized what had happened, she decided to try and reach him another way. Draining most of his blood, she then turned him, hoping to draw him closer to her and reach him this way. It worked partially, and Nikolaus temporarily joined the Nephelim, leaving Hohenems to start his life over in England with her. Gradually, Nikolaus grew bored with her endless tedium of rules and strictures, and he left both her and the Nephilim. The year was 1713.

Nikolaus traveled across Europe for nearly 300 years. He was in France until 1847, appealing to the French for a passionate way to spend his immortal life and excessive wealth. As he grew older, he would sell items from several centuries ago to museums as antiquities, earning great wealth in the doing. After France, he moved on to Eastern Europe, then to Russia. He met Michael Bakunin, the first anarchist, and aided him in the Uprising in Dresden, escaping however, unlike Bakunin. He stayed out of World War I largely, only involving himself by selling arms to Imperial Germany, as well as information from his time in Russia.

In World War II, however, he began to play; manipulating minor Nazis into schemes to only increase his growing wealth. Then, when the Nazis began to bore him, he joined British Intelligence, his ability to speak many languages, as well as his amazing abilities in convincing people, earned him a high spot in their Intelligence Service. When the war ended, he went back to Russia, where he joined the KGB for laughs. Learning Russian Sambo Wrestling and Muay Thai boxing in the process, he became a high-priority target for American assassins; a constant pain unable to track. In 1990, near the end of the power of the Soviets, he left the KGB, killing several assassins sent to deal with him. He moved to America, taking up the alias “Niko Stromfur”, living in New York for a couple years. However, he grew bored with petty human politics, and moved to Demaitre in 2001, looking for a more interesting scene. He settled down in a luxury suite, and has lived in the thrill of the closest thing to a vampire capital ever since…

Abilities: Nikolaus has vampiric regeneration, as well as superior speed; he's fast, even for a vampire. He also has above-average senses, and he is a master of mental domination, manipulation and control, for a vampire his age. However, he is hardly the hardiest vampire physically, and his strength is only a little better than a mortal's. He also is highly sensitive to sunlight; even indirect sunlight (cloudcover, etc) is enough to damage him severely. He like a Nephim, without any allegience to them.
