Title: The Witching Hour
Description: For Pandora

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 2, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
Yhihre had legged it most of the way home, but she was tired, and felt bloated even though her stomach looked perectly flat. She paused, looking around for a shortcut she remembered. If she moved quick, she might still have time to get the food up. She peered into an alley, and made sure there was no one around. Nobody, nada. She strolled down the alley, vaguely aware of how utterly cliche it was; girl wanders down dark alley, she gets mugged, stabbed, left for dead. Thankfully, there was no one around to do any of that. She stopped as she saw the newly erected mesh fence that seperated the streets.

"Hell."

She turned, and walked back out, to the entrance of the alley.

Pandora Lorrain - July 3, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
Dmitri had watched her this entire time and didn't make sound, where he was clinging to the wall. His eyes didn't leave the perfect prey that she seemed to be. Ever since Angelia had left, he had returned to the monster that he was, preying on young woman. He loved to prey on them they were easy and fun to scare.

His eyes followed her into the alley and he followed her without hesitation. He let himself drop to the floor and blocked her way as she came back. "Going somewhere?"

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 3, 2007 05:52 AM (GMT)
She was halfway down the alley when a man thudded to the ground before her. Yhihre let out a sound halfway between a yelp and a shriek, and clutched her purse to her chest. A mugger? She backed away three steps, and kept her gaze on him. He was blocking her only exit.

"Yes. I'd like to go home, actually. Would you please move?"

Pandora Lorrain - July 3, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
Dmitri watched her the way that a wolf watched his prey. It was a curious look with his head tilted to one side. He really didn't care as to what she was saying but the fact that she was talking had caught his interest.

A malicious grin spread across his face and he wondered if he should do as she said. There was a lot of potential things to do if he did move, the question was if he was going to. He paused to think it over and moved to the side. A chase was always fun...

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 3, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
She breathed a small sigh of relief as the man stepped to the side, allowing her to pass. She inched past him, walking the length of the narrow pavement. As soon as she reached the mouth of the alley, she bolted, running as fast as her feet would take her. Yhihre shuddered; the man's smile had been animalistic. He wasn't someone she'd like to meet again.

Pandora Lorrain - July 3, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)
Dmitri's eyes followed her as she walked past him. Since Angelia had left him, he had returned to his animalistic tendencies. He waited patiently and his eyes never left her. When she bolted he grinned. Didn't humans know that running away when you had a hunter after you a bad idea.

He turned and cracked his shoulders. His face morphed and the double row of teeth appeared. He howled and then chased after her. This was going to be fun and he was going to chase her down, he was going to go easy on her for now.

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 3, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
A howl sounded behind her, and the pounding of feet became clearer by the second. Yhihre looked behind her should, expecting to see a dog. What she saw turned her stomach cold, and drained the color from her face. It was the same man from the alley, loping behind her. Shit. She turned her eyes forward again, and scanned the street. There were cars she could hide behind, but she doubted it would honestly work. He'd see her if she ran behind one. She spotted a building she knew was empty, and scheduled for demolition. Yhihre took the steps two at a time, and tried the handle on the door. It was open. She flew inside and slammed the door behind her. She fumbled with the locks to find that they were loose, ripped out. Shit, shit, shit. She looked around inside, at the bare interior. There was nowhere to hide. She grasped the doorknob, and pulled inward, holding it closed.

Dmitri followed her, without missing a step. He would be relentless with a few surprises of his own. He could see her looking around, trying to find a place to hide and eventually finding the old building.

He watched her and knew that the building was unlocked, but he had a better way to get to her than going through the door. Once he reached the bottom of the steps, he jumped, launching himself in through one of the broken windows of the first floor. He growled darkly as he turned towards her.

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 4, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
The sound of glass shattering made Yhihre duck instinctively, and bring her arms up to protect her eyes. Her pulse raced, seeing that it was the man who had been chasing her. She threw her purse down between them, and pointed to it, tears beginning to well in her eyes, her body trembling with fear.

"There! That's what you want, right? Take it!"

Pandora Lorrain - July 4, 2007 12:15 AM (GMT)
Dmitri frowned and than laughed, it was mirthless. "You think that that is what I want? Darling you have no idea what I want. Your purse isn't it." He was going to have fun with he mind, it was fun to scare her like this.

He took a few steps towards her, deliberately ignoring the purse. He stopped a few inches away from her. "You might want to run." He loved to chase prey down, eventually he would get bored and feed, but until then, he was going to enjoy himself.

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 4, 2007 01:04 AM (GMT)
He's going to kill me, thought Yhihre. Legs weak, she ran from him, taking his suggestion. She took the stairs to the upper level, tripping over them. The dust protested against her feet, coming up in great clouds every step she took. She didn't bother to look back this time. She ran to the closest door, and tried the knob. Locked. She tried another. It was locked, too. What the hell was the point of a locked door in a building that was about to get knocked down? She tried another, and, of course, third time was the charm. It opened, and she ran inside, looking for the window to the fire escape.

Pandora Lorrain - July 4, 2007 01:17 AM (GMT)
Dmitri grinned and climbed the wall. He followed her slowly, smelling her fear and knowing that she would be worth the wait. He disregarded the stairs and moved to the second floor. He went passed the first two doors, following her scent by his nose and took a break outside the third door. He relished the hesitation and then opened the door. "You are mine."

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 4, 2007 01:32 AM (GMT)
Yhihre, who had been trying to get the window opened, heard the door creak open. She looked over her shoulder at the man, and pulled up on the window, trying to get it to open. Frantically, she looked around the room, trying to find another way out. She saw another door, and ran to it, opened it and burst through. It was a bathroom, without any windows. She turned back to the door, not sure what to do.

Pandora Lorrain - July 4, 2007 01:49 AM (GMT)
Dmitri went to the door that she had just gone through. She was trapped and he could smell the uncertainty and knew that she was not being able to go anywhere. He blocked her way out and simply stood in the doorway. "Where are you going to go now, kitten?" He was going to terrorize her until the end.

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 4, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
She opened and closed her mouth, not sure what to say. How stupid could she be? Why hadn't she just run from the building. She backed up until her back touched the tiled wall, and she scooted sideways along it, trying to get as far away as possible from the man. Yhihre's voice was hoarse, breathy from running.

"What do you want from me?"

Pandora Lorrain - July 4, 2007 02:29 AM (GMT)
Dmitri grinned more and took a few steps towards her. He grabbed her and pushed her hard against the wall. He pressed his body against hers and inhaled her scent, his eyes widening with the smell of the blood under her skin. He could feel the pulse of her heart and he brushed a soft kiss on her throat. "What do you think I want?"

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 4, 2007 02:47 AM (GMT)
Yhihre let out a small shriek of suprise. His skin was cool to the touch, and slightly unsettling. But his breath, and his kiss, were warm. Despite what her mind screamed, her body relaxed into his. Her heart still thumped in her chest, as if trying to break free. Her face came just up to his collarbone, so she found herself speaking into the hollow of his neck.

"I - you want... me." She answered with some finality.

Pandora Lorrain - July 4, 2007 03:03 AM (GMT)
Dmitri grinned. "I do want you, but not in the way you think." Her heart was beating faster and the blood was pounding through her veins, making his nostrils flare with want. He wanted he blood, that sweet tasting liquid that flowed through her veins and he had trouble holding back.

He nipped at the skin of her neck and pin pricks of blood appeared on her neck. He licked it off, feeling the taste of blood giving might to her tongue.

Rainbow Ate The Unicorn - July 4, 2007 05:31 AM (GMT)
Not the way she thought? She didn't have time to think, as his teeth punctured the tender skin of her neck, drawing blood. A shiver ran down her body, feeling the warmth of his tongue, his breath. The pulse in her neck throbbed, spilling more blood from the two miniscule holes. She gasped, and tried to push him away.

Pandora Lorrain - July 4, 2007 06:53 PM (GMT)
Dmitri growled and pinned both her hands to the wall. There was no way she could push him away, he was too strong for her. He didn't know why he went after women when it came to feeding, perhaps it was some resentful emotions against women, when Angelia left or perhaps they were simply easily scared. Either way it suited him just fine.

He then bit down hard, letting the blood fill his mouth, it was wonderful.
