Title: Hunger and Feeding
Description: Open to any and all
Aeoles - May 4, 2007 06:49 PM (GMT)
Aeoles stood there, his eyes burning with anger, he was hungry, "Why." He growled and saw a human, "I must feed." He glared at the mortal and locked eyes with him, "I want to speak with you." He spoke, his voice was hypnotic and he knew that it would work.
He glared and grabbed the mortal pulling him into the bushes, he attacked without a word and ripped the mans throat out, "I hunger." He fed ravinously and growled, "Feed me." He drank and bled the man dry.
He looked up when he heard a sound and wiped his mouth, he moved so fast that the normal human eye could not see him, "I must not be caught." He twitched softly, his inner self wanting out, the dark side. He was confused about something and his uncontrolable anger wanted out.
He growled once more and bit his own wrist to regain control, "Please." He pleaded with himself, his accent was strong and thick, and now he seemed to be having trouble speaking english, every so often he beagn to speak in Romanian as he wandered aimlessly, and every time he returned to the spot.
Pandora Lorrain - May 4, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
Chi was out for a night on the town. She did that often, simply got up and left her apartment. It wasn't like she had anything else to do, she could spend daylight hours doing things that needed to be done. At night she spent it outside. Now that the nights were getting shorter, she spent as much time as she could outside.
She was dressed all in black and her silver hair was curled. She had decided to try something different, it usually was flat. It was overly curled, somewhere between curls and wavy. She didn't know if it suited her, but she expected to get some feedback some time in the night. One of the good things of being a telepathic vampire, got feedback without opening your mouth.
She stopped abruptly and raised her head. Blood assaulted her nose. She then shrugged her shoulders, it wasn't uncommon for a vampire to feed in this area, not uncommon at all, but where was the vampire? She figured that she would soon find out.
Aeoles - May 4, 2007 11:31 PM (GMT)
He stood there, his mind wandered, that was until he felt another vampire, she was different, "A female." He growled deeply to himself, "She is different." He growled and slowly began to find himself, his mind was coming back, "Good." He wandered and stood near his kill, "This needs to be cleaned up...I will not do it." He turned and saw her.
The woman with the silver hair, she was the vampire, and with a smile he locked eyes with her, he pushed the Romanian suave onto her, "I will try to get her." He smiled and chuckled, his mind was locked now, he was trying to get her to come to him.
He growled softly to himself and slowly approached her, his cloak billowing out behind him, he looked ominous, for on his sleeve there was a small trail of blood from where he had bitten himself. He kept his eyes locked, his years and age were helping him here, he had a stronger life force. The life force helped him with the Hypnotic stare.
With a chuckle he stood in front of her and bowed deeply, "Greeting." He smiled never once did he break eye contact. With a warm smile he stood, his Romanian accent as thick as ever, his voice filled with the Hypnotic tone of power. He smiled softly and winked, "How are you my child."
Pandora Lorrain - May 5, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
Chi watched him, her eyes didn't waver and she didn't blink. She could feel the hypnotic stare but thanks to her age and her telepathy she wasn't dragged into it. She doubted any vampire in this city could drag her anywhere she didn't want to go. A vampire didn't live 6000 years without some sort of immunity to mind powers.
The only thought that truly crossed her mind was that he was insane. She was insane too, but she had kept a part of her sanity. There were only moments where she was insane, but both of her parts agreed...more or less. Both of them agreed right now that this vampire was insane and he wasn't all that old. She had reached four thousand before there were any repercussions of her age.
She snorted as the words were carried on the wind that he would get her. Him, get her? She would love to see him try. She had other more important things on her mind, though perhaps teaching this youngster a lesson in who was old, was something that needed to be done.
She raised an eyebrow, the hypnotic stare doing nothing to soften her mood. "Child? Me? I surpass you in age so none of your tricks will work on me." She smiled but it was cold. "Don't even try youngling."
Aeoles - May 5, 2007 12:25 AM (GMT)
He growled and laughed softly, "I see, you are an elder." He bowed deeply, "I am humbled." He smiled breaking contact, he did not wish to be pulled into his own trick, "I am Aeoles, may I ask your name." He stood smiling warmly, his hair falling into his face. He smiled and pushed it aside.
He knew that she was older now that she was closer and he was more in control of himself, he had lost his mind due to his temper, he was nearly Berzerk, "Please forgive me, I believed you to be another one of the younglings in this city," He chuckled and moved with such speed no mortal saw it, he had tied his hair back, he figured it was better to move fast through meaningless acts than to drag it out, "Gods know I have encountered them enough." He smiled and looked into the sky.
For some reason the sky was in his mind, ti enticed him, "I feel the freedom." He smiled and looked at her, "I have not lost my mind, I had temporarily lost my temper." He smiled softly at her and bowed, "I apologize and hope no mortal finds my dinner before the marrow." He smiled softly and chuckled.
Pandora Lorrain - May 5, 2007 12:33 AM (GMT)
Chi lifted an eyebrow, well at least he had fixed his mistake. She wasn't as tempted to smack him, though a child part of her, was trying to get her to do that. Her mature part ignored it, knowing that eventually it would stop asking. "My name is Chyou, but I go by Chi." Chyou was the crazy part of her and preferred to be called that way. When Chi was called Chyou, usually nothing good came of it.
Chi watched him her eyes flat. "You do not want to make that mistake, other ancients would take it very personally. I've known a few to torture those who make even the slightest mistake." Those who loved protocol and did everything to make the pain drag out, to make sure that the other remembered. She smirked her lips curling. "You will meet a lot more."
She watched him and shrugged. "Whether you lose your temper or your mind, it doesn't make a difference. You lost something either way." She shrugged her hair brushing up against her bare shoulders. "Well they will eventually find it, sad as it may be. They will deal with the death." That was something that she knew for sure."
Aeoles - May 5, 2007 12:42 AM (GMT)
He bowed deeply and smiled, "I thank you for your input." He smiled softly at her, "I live by the old ways, treat not lest you know of age...when I lost my temper I lost my thoughts." He bowed once more, his mind was on the true theory of life as a vampire.
"Are the old ways the best ways?" He looked at her softly his mind was running quickly, "I am sure that they are, but others seem to scoff at them now." He sighed and looked her in the eyes to show his respect this time, "I think they are." He sighed once more and chuckled.
He chuckled at the thought of the elder before him, "I think that you find me odd." He chuckled and smiled, "I am Romanian so I will be odd in comparison to how most people think as normal." He smiled once more and chuckled, his fangs glinting softly in the moonlight, they were stained with blood from tonights kill.
Pandora Lorrain - May 5, 2007 04:46 AM (GMT)
Chi shrugged her shoulders. "You may live by the old way, but things change and so do people, you have to be able to adapt to the times. If you can't adapt then you are going to find life hard. I'm sorry to say." It was true to her. Every now and then she would revert back to her old self and wear togas, but that wasn't appropriate for this period. She always told people that she was either going to a toga party or coming from one. It seemed to work well, unless it was the middle of winter, but she rarely wore togas in the middle of winter.
She snorted. "I've lived pretty much anywhere that was damn possible: the Roman Empire, Egypt, Greece, Crete, the first city that was ever created, China long before it was even China. I've had some pretty interesting experiences and they often involve weird people or cultural shock. I adapt, that is what I do." She was so used to it that it was almost second hand, yet times now were so different that adapting had gotten very difficult.
She returned his smile. Yes he was odd, but he was nice too and that counted for something to her anyways. Her fangs were white and unstained by blood. She had fed earlier in the night on dead blood. Her hair shone in the moonlight, competing with her teeth. She seemed to have this glow that came from the inside and it was amazing.
Aeoles - May 5, 2007 12:30 PM (GMT)
He smiled at her and chuckled, "I see." He ran his fingers over his cloak, "I prefer my cloak, it gives me an extra shadow." He smiled softly once more, the shadow he was taking about was over his face, it hid the look in his eyes when he did not wish for people to see the anger and hunger.
He looked at her, she was nice, and she had and air of kindness to her, as if all she knew was kindness, there was no hatred, there was no sign that she was going to turn against him. He could always tell when he looked at a nice person, they had an aura to them.
He had traveled to Japan during the Heian Era, it was different there and he had learned to adapt, “I know how hard it is to adapt to a different culture, I was never to good at adaption.” He smiled and chuckled, “I will try better to adapt to this place, I will as well try to hide my dinner better.” He chuckled, “I was just hungry beyond normal.” He chuckled and shrugged, he was telling the truth, why he was hungry was beyond him.
Pandora Lorrain - May 5, 2007 02:23 PM (GMT)
Chi laughed. "Extra shadow, hmmm?" She didn't need extra shadow, she had something else entirely to hide in. "Then again who needs extra shadows when they can disappear entirely?" That was exactly what she did. As to prove her point, air swirled around her and she was gone. She reappeared behind him. "That is perhaps one of the best gifts."
Chi was kind, it was who she was, though when she got angry, people including vampires moved out of the way fast. She had shattered vampire's minds easily, with basically a look. It was all the powers she had, that enabled her to do things such as destroy a person's mind completely and make them go mad. Mortals were easier to do, but usually vampires were more of a problem.
"Adapting to a culture is one thing, but adapting to a completely different way of life is another. If you think about it, life in the last two centuries has drastically changed especially with the advances in sciences and technology. It is simply mind-boggling to see all these new things." She shrugged and had adapted as much as she could, but it wasn't always obvious.
Aeoles - May 5, 2007 03:13 PM (GMT)
He smiled and chuckled, "I know, this world has changed so much...So many ways to kill a mortal now has made it harder to hunt." He sighed and shrugged, "I think it is foolish, they kill because they can...I remember the times when the only time a person killed was to feed or to protect." He lowered his head and looked at her once more, "I like the old ways." He smiled once more and chuckled.
Aeoles was a kind soul, he always was and always will be. Though he does have a dark side to him, when he is emotionally distressed or when he is angry there is almost no stopping him...Though it can be done. He tried his hardest to protect those he liked, mortal and vampire.
He looked at the sky, "Mortals and their modernization...they have destroyed the world, well they are destroying it, burning items for fuel, it destroys the sky...I love the sky, it is so free, so open." He knew he cryptic when he spoke but he understood most vampires knew what he was talking about. He looked down and squatted scooping some dirt, "Why must they destroy...they came from the earth, I worry that they will disrupt the natural balance." He looked at her once more.
Pandora Lorrain - May 5, 2007 03:23 PM (GMT)
Chi sighed. "You may prefer the old ways, but the old ways don't stay. A human being is mutable, he or she is forever changing. That is why most living beings adapt so well, because of their ability to change easily, more or less to the surrounding world." She then shrugged. "I don't find pleasure in hunting anymore, unless I am truly distressed." Needless to say that Chi wasn't often distressed.
Chi looked up at the sky and turned to the air around her. "The balance has already been disrupted, I can feel it in the wind. It wasn't the same as it was over a millennium ago. The balance can be fixed but if they don't put their ass in gear, there won't be a balance to fix." Chi's powers that were linked to air was something that she was proud of. A power that was unusual but practical. She could feel the air in the city and could know if something was unusual in it.
Aeoles - May 5, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
He looked at her and nodded, "Nine Hundred years pass and I can tell." He sighed, "I wish that they were smarter, wiser. If they were they would only ask." He sighed, "I only wish that I could tell them the truth about what is happening." He smiled at her warmly, he gave her the warmest smile he could muster, 'I know it is foolish to tell a mortal what you are unless you wish to feed but....I wish they would listen." He sighed and looked her in the eyes.
She was much older than he was and he knew she could tell him much more about the world about him, "I am still knew to this city, I arrived in 1801, and I still do not know this place." He smiled and shrugged softly, "Maybe you can tell me more about what goes on here?" He smiled once more, his eyes flashing in the moonlight.
Pandora Lorrain - May 6, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
Chi could tell when barely a decade passed. Things changed so fast especially in this millennium. Things had changed when she had been a younger vampire, but not as fast paced as it was now. It kinda scared, she worried that they might do something that would destroy the Earth by accident, because that would be very unfortunate.
Chi shrugged. "Mortals have very short attention spans and that is very unfortunate for them. They don't bother learning and they repeat the same mistakes, that's what makes this world the way it is. If they actually learned the world would be a better place."
He was new to the city, she had arrived in the 1900's. She could quite remember the exact year, because time was irrelevant to her, she did know that it was barely a century. "I arrived to Demaitre after you did, so I can't quite help you there. I was in the Americas in the 1700, but didn't come here until after. There isn't much I can tell you, everything is the same, everywhere now."
Aeoles - May 6, 2007 01:20 AM (GMT)
He nodded and smiled, "Until I came here, I was in Wallachia, now known as Romania, I was a friend of Vlad Tsepes Drakul." He smiled softly, "I traveled to Japan a few times, Heian era, I had heard of it from travelers and merchants, they told me of great warriors, I needed to learn to fight...My parents were killed by a vampire." He smiled and chuckled, "I wanted to kill him...I did but I was turned by another who took advantage of my weakness after the battle." He just chuckled and looked at her once more.
"The humans, they destroy what they do not understand, they do not understand how the world works so they wish to destroy it." He smiled softly at her he had a slight childish quality to him, why it was no one could tell. He just smiled and seemed to be the picture of kindness. "I understand the earth, I understand the wind." He chuckled once more and lowered his head, "I had time to study them...I know more than the brightest human and some more than other vampires." He smiled and chuckled, "My mother was always trying to get me the best education I could get, schooling and private tutors." He simpled sighed, "I miss my mother." He made a sign with his hands to show his respect, it was Japanese in nature the sign of respect to the dead.
Pandora Lorrain - May 6, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
Chi watched him, amusement clearly in her eyes. That was nothing compared to what she had been through. "I was born in China a very long time ago and I was revered as a Goddess because of my unusual hair, became a priestess and then left to travel. I went everywhere from Greece to Egypt and France. I spent a lot of time there, around before 1000 B.C. I loved to travel, I got to meet new people, I learned how to write and read, it was pretty cool."
Chi shook her head and disagreed with the other vampire. "They don't wish to destroy the Earth, they simply wish to destroy each other. It's like when two alpha males meet, one makes his supremacy known over the other, it's the same in this case. One country wishes to be stronger than the other, disregarding what it does to the planet."
Chi sighed and closed her eyes, air swirling around her, something that made it seem odd. "I understand the air probably better than anybody. Not only have I read books about it, but it is tied tightly to who I am in power." She shrugged and dismissed any thought that returned to her family. She couldn't even remember their faces.
Aeoles - May 6, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
He nodded and smiled, "I see, you are an avatar." He chuckled, "I was once believed to be a god...I was shot once in the stomach, and when he healed almost instantly they thought I was a god." He chuckled and shrugged, "Kazakhstan, they were interesting." He chuckled again and smiled.
He thought of the Alpha male theory and nodded, "I guess you are correct, all humans are idiots who only seek power..." He sighed and looked at her, "I only wish that they would understand what they have done to this world." He looked at the dirt, "What they have done to the mother." He sighed and shrugged.
Once more his face lit up, "Have you ever been to Walachia, to Romania?" He chuckled softly his mind now racing, "If you did, were you there between the early fourteen hundreds?" He had an idea that she was some one he had heard of, "I had heard of a person with your powers..." He smiled and laughed.
His mind hit a snag and he nodded, "I also remember an odd genetic disorder, Xeroderma Pigmentosum...XP, it is a genetic disorder where some one is basically allergic to light, Vampire disease....The fools." He chuckled and shrugged, "sorry, when my mind wanders I tend to blurt random facts." He smiled and lowered his head his face red.
Pandora Lorrain - May 6, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Chi smiled. "I didn't have the powers that my sired had and she was also a Goddess, but when I reached the Roman Empire, everyone that met me thought that I was the Moon Goddess." She flicked a strand of her hair, as silver as the moon light. She seemed to be the reminiscence or extension of the moon, her shining brightly as the light hit her hair.
She shook her head. Aeoles didn't understand. "They aren't idiots, because they don't see the world the way we do. They don't spend centuries alive, seeing everything. We see that and see the mistakes they make. It isn't their fault, not at all." Chi understood the mother idea. Her Goddess was the Mother Earth and that was what she believed in, it was what lived in her heart.
She shook her head again. "It never returned to Eastern Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire. I stayed in Western Europe and spent a lot of time in FRance, I love the French culture, they are simply amazing." It was possible that he had heard of her, though she didn't usually flaunt her powers.
Aeoles - May 6, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
He nodded and smiled, "I see." He chuckled and nodded again, "I was sired by a weakling, I have not seen him in some time...Near nine hundred years." He laughed, "I killed an ancient and he turned me because believed that I would listen to him and kill for him." He laughed loudly and clapped his hands, "He told me he did it out of respect for killing the ancient but I know it was different, he wanted a weapon." He smiled at her.
He nodded, "So you think that they are just misinformed...Mis judged." He nodded, "I see." He smiled warmly again, "I think they are fools and idiots." He smiled, "I know for a fact that some of them are." He laughed once more, his eyes shining with malice.
He stopped and took a deep breath, pulling up his sleeve he bit into his own wrist, he needed to calm down and this always worked, "Forgive me..." He bowed and cracked his neck, "Care to walk, the human defecated himself and the stench is bothering me." He offered his arm smiling.
"I have been to france and the outlying areas, maybe I heard of you from them, the Saxons or some one else." He smiled once more and bore his fangs, they were stained with his own blood.
Pandora Lorrain - May 6, 2007 02:15 AM (GMT)
Chi smiled as her eyes took a faraway look. "I was sired by a beautiful woman. She was of eastern European descent and had been a priestess in our area for a long time, yet she never grew older. It was the most amazing of things and no one understood why that was. I was inducted at the age of 12 as a novice and a priestess in training. Four years later I became not only a priestess in my own right, but second only to my sire. It was interesting knowledge."
She nodded. "Some mortals are fools and idiots, yet they are mostly simply misinformed and to think them fools is to underestimate them. It is dangerous to think them as unintelligent, especially since some use their intelligence for evil and could surprise you."
Chi shrugged and placed her hand on his arm. "Sure."
Aeoles - May 6, 2007 10:13 PM (GMT)
He smiled and nodded once more, “I guess so.” He smiled softly at her, “I know that humans can be mad and genius. I was around a few over my travels.” He smiled once more at her and chuckled, “I know how crazy they can be.” He sighed and lowered his head, “I only wish that humans could understand more, all of the humans not the genius' but every one.” He smiled once more, a forced smile. He doubted humans would last much longer.
He smiled when she took his arm, she was a very nice and beautiful person, and he was glad that she had decided to walk with him, “Do tell me, what have you come to learn in your travels, me...I learned that they,” He meant humans by they, “do need a bit of tolerance.” He chuckled, “I have learned to tolerate them, but I still doubt them and think they are idiots.” He smiled once more looking to the moon.
Pandora Lorrain - May 17, 2007 05:27 AM (GMT)
Chi rolled her eyes. "Listen child, there is more to mortals than meet then eye, besides they are our main diet of food. Without them we wouldn't be able to survive, because we evolved along side them. They are valuable to us in many ways. They are our main food supply, they provide ancients like us with endless hours of entertainment and some of them can even keep up in a conversation we start. They are more than simply food."
Chi walked next to him and thought about it. "I have learned that vampires can be just as bad as mortals, if not worse." She had learned and seen much in her time and she was right. Vampires could be horrible and worse then mortals. Mortals and the need to tolerate them was nothing when it came to tolerating another vampire that thought he knew everything. "They are less idiots then you may think, they create such wonderful things."
