The night was unusualy cold for late April... But... It seemed even colder to Angelia.
She had been away for a while, out in the nowheres of the Canadian wilderness seaking out Will's grave. Or at least the place where she had burried the remainder of his ashes after his death.
Her heat had been struggling for some time with what to do. On one hand, she still loved Will more than anything she had ever known. But he was gone. And she had to learn to accept it. She had to move on.
Angelia had been secluded and closed off from everyone, even her lover for some time before she had left. She hadn't wanted to see anyone, tossed deep into a fit of depression. She hadn't spoke a word since she left, and even once back she hadn't spoke a word. Simply pointing to the short wine list she had drank glass after glass with little effect, just trying to figure out where to go. What to do.
She was almost afraid to go to her flat... What if Dmitri had left her a note saying that he was tired of her games? Her emotional constipation. Or worse... What if he was there waiting for her? What would she do then?
So Angelia had figured this would be a safe place to come. Drink, a room... She would be okay for a night or two here. Okay until she figured out what to do.

AS of late Dmitri had been busy with his fledgling, yet Angelia had been gone and every night he would leave her flat, hunt and then return to wait or help his fledgling. Yet the emptiness that came with Angelia not being around and created a void in Dmitri. He had never felt anything like that before.
He would mope around in her apartment for days and nights, waiting for her to return. Had he done something to completely put her off? He knew she was having trouble with some of her memories, yet he missed her. If she had stayed in Demaitre, Dmitri would have been more than happy to take care of her, but she had gone off. Where was she?
Except on this night instead of going to her flat, he had wandered the streets wanting to do something else, he was a little sick of moping around, yet he didn't know what else to do. He stopped suddenly and looked at where his steps had taken him. The King's Brewery: Tavern and Inn. He hesitated momentarily before opening the door and stepping inside.

A little tremmor ran through Angelia's body as the door opened. Not because a cool breeze came in at the small table where she was sitting, but because of the scent.
No... He couldn't be here. She had come here to... To avoid him? No.. That wasn't the truth. Angelia had come here to think. But his entrance... His entrance had made it all the harder. She was never able to think with him around... And that was something that scared her.
Turning her face away towards the dark window was a futile thing to do... After all once he caught her scent... How could she hide from him?
But did he even care anymore? He had his fledgling... He had his own life and his own world. What did he need of her really? Being a vampire... He could get sex and pleasure just about anywhere... And... did he really love her? Or had her slip-away run him off? No matter what though she was afraid. She was afraid to confront him.

Dmitri entered and was almost completely oblivious to everything around him. Since it was almost, her scent assaulted, making him stop and the door closed behind him. She was here and that simple thought filled him with a sense of joy, something that he hadn't felt since she had left.
Maybe he had his own little world, yet it was all irrelevant without her around. He had a world that barely seemed real if she wasn't there to add her own light. What was the point of living if your entire life seems unreal? The only reason he hadn't given up was because she was going to come back. He frowned then, only then did the knowledge hit him. What was she doing here?
He turned and saw her almost instantly, her back to him. Was she upset with him? He knew that she had sensed him, yet she seemed to rather want to not look at him. That simple thought troubled him very much. He hesitated and went to her, he stood behind her and gently touched her. "Angel?"
AngelWings - April 22, 2007 02:35 AM (GMT)
His voice was as sweet as ever to her ears... But... Her head hung slightly. Her mouth opened slightly as if to speak, but let her mouth shut.
She tilted her head slightly to nuzzle his hand to acknowladge him. But her voice was still stuck in her throat.
What could she say to him afterall? Angelia knew she should appologize. She knew she needed to explain where she went, why she went. She had to tell him. But not yet. She couldn't tell him yet, after all... She still didn't know what to do.
"I... I'm sorry..." She whispered softly.

She didn't speak, yet at that moment it didn't matter as she nuzzled his hand in acknowledgment. Nothing mattered, but simply to be with her, was like as if light had entered a dark room and filled it with beauty.
Her skin was still soft and he simply stood there as amazement rolled through his mind. He lifted a finger to gently brush her cheek, the contact of touching her and her scent all around him, made him forget everything that was around them.
He jerked startled. Sorry? What was she sorry for? He shook his head and continued to gently brush her cheek. "May I sit with you?"
AngelWings - April 22, 2007 03:06 AM (GMT)
But Angelia was careful to keep her mind about even as he touched her. She couldn't loose herself to him. Not now. Not yet.
She sat still as Dmitri brushed her cheek, as if simply trying to believe she was here again. She was. Yes. She was back in town and safe. Was it that hard to believe? Was it possible that he had thought her gone? It had been only a little more than a month... It wasn't tht long for a vampire... but... Had he moved on? Was he with someone new? Had he forgotten about her?
Angelia bit her lip with fear as she nodded, her face troubled and fearful. "I'm sorry... for leaving... I just had to..." But would he understand why? Would he want the explination and then hate her for it? He knew as well as she that Will wasn't coming back Why couldn't she get over him?
Pandora Lorrain - April 22, 2007 03:17 AM (GMT)
Dmitri was keeping his mind, yet he was like a man that had lost hope and with her return his hope was back. She was the one that had made him whole and that wasn't something that he would forget easily.
She hadn't answered his question, yet he took a seat and watched her. He wasn't touching her anymore, but she had dazzled him and he would never be able to forget that. "I don't need to know where you have been. You can tell me when you are ready. I won't pressure you into anything."
His eyes soften. "Everybody has something to do and sometimes you simply have to leave, to understand your own self. You had something you needed to do and I respect that." Something about him had changed. He was so tempted to make rash decisions and not having her around had made him now more apt to think then simply spew out whatever came to mind.
AngelWings - April 23, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
Her lips trembled for a moment, and she nearly spoke again, but instead shook her head. No. It wasn't alright that she had left. Not alright that she hadn't shared her troubles with him and tried to work through them.
Her eyes flicked up to him softly. "Please... Forgive me. I don't know what I need... I..." She looked down at the table, little glimmers of red at the corners of her eyes.

Dmitri watched her and seeing her so upset, made him unsure. He hated to see her troubled and this was one of those times. He had no idea why she had left. One morning she was there and that night she had been gone. He told himself that she was troubled and had something to do, that only thought had made him confidant that she would return. She loved him, right?
He reached towards her and lifted her chin to look at him. "Life will throw things at you and sometimes you simply have to get back up." He hesitated. "If you need more time, then I'll give you that." He paused again. "I'll move back in with the coven that way you can have your apartment back." He hoped that she wouldn't sent him away, yet he was willing to back off for her, only for her.
AngelWings - April 23, 2007 06:54 PM (GMT)
Angelia shook her head as Dmitri mentioned moving back to the Coven. Hadn't he said that the others hadn't wanted him there? That there were problems among the memebers? "No. Don't... Don't leve me. Please..." She said softly.
She didn't want him to leave. Angelia knew that much. She wanted him to stay and didn't want him to leave her alone again. She had already been alone for too long.
"I miss him so much though... I don't know what to do. I've tried forgetting, but he was my father. My sire... I can't." She looked up at him helplessly. "What can I do Dmitri?"
Pandora Lorrain - April 23, 2007 11:39 PM (GMT)
Dmitri almost sighed in relief. There wasn't trouble anymore, it was simply that, he didn't want to go back. He rather live on his own. Perhaps he should think of getting his own place. He shook his head. No he was staying with Angelia and she didn't want him to leave.
The next words out of her mouth were like knives straight to his heart. She still loved her sire and father. He couldn't blame her, he was an important person in her life, yet he was long gone. He had thought that she was happy with him and here she seemed to be completely depressed. "I can't help you with this. He will always be a part of who you are, but he is gone. You have to remember that." He wanted her to move on, but he felt like he would only be in the way.
