Heya, heya, just a quick question. What is the Matheson High mascot/team name? Also, is there a, um, battle cry e.g. "Roll Tide" "Go Big Red"? And, continuing that line of questioning, what are the school colors?

Team: Matheson High Pirates
Mascot: Other than involving an eyepatch and cutlass, totally up to Istar. :heh:
School colors: Crimson and Black
And, because I'm a football freak, Helmet Design: Black with a crimson skull and two crossed swords

As for a battle cry... well. Guess there won't be a cool one, since I can't think of anything other than... Go Pirates!

EDIT: By the way, now that I've just thought of it, does Demaitre U have athletic teams? If so, what is their mascot, etc.?

Chargers? That sounds so... footballish, we need something that is good to all sprots including basketball and hockey. I do like the wolverines, interesting name and the design could be awesome...

Well, the name's actually taken from a school in my home state, the UAH Chargers. They don't have a football program, they have a nationally recognized hockey program. In fact they have several national championships.

I don't know, I simply don't like the name of the team, they need something original, something different..

Wolverines is the team mascot of the University of Michigan... You'd be hard-pressed to find a team name that somebody doesn't already have...

Oooh, how about the Paladins?

How about the Statesmen? I've always wanted to make a sports team called the Statesmen... of course, it would be kind of odd to have any female athletic teams named the Statesmen, so... nah, that wouldn't be very good...

No not the Statesman that sounds so political, we need something with a bit of oomph and I don't see that in that name... how about the Cossacks?

The Cossacks were the best cavalry this world had ever seen. They were part of the Ukrainian army and fought the Russians... I thought that it would sound catchy...

Well, at the risk of sounding... erm... slightly less than educated, I think we should probably do a team name that doesn't need to be explained.

Though I might just be, you know, in the dark...

I've always pictured Demaitre U with red in their colour scheme. In fact, I do believe I've written several threads with Colton in a red-lettered Demaitre U sweater...

But, ANYTHING but Navy Blue and Silver. Talk about the most OVERUSED school colours. And not Blue and Gold either. The entire state of California uses those two as its school colours.

Well, Crimson and Gold is Matheson's color scheme. -shrug- But red and silver is good, I say.

Okay, don't laugh, but I just had an idea for the DU war cry or cheer or whatever.

How about "Thunder On!" Like, "Thunder On, Chargers" or something?

Since Demaitre is originally a French influenced city shouldn't there be some kind of French theme to the mascots? Something like, ummm :unsure: maybe... *cough*

The Dem. U Chevaliers or maybe The Chasseurs.
