Title: Having a Good Time.
Description: For Rin's Jen

The night was young, and Alex had nothing to do. He was off from work, and he was bored. He was still pretty new in the city, but he heard about the White Mice from a friend. The line was pretty long, but he waited and got in. The music was loud, and exciting, just the kind of atmosphere to get rid of some of his stress.
Alex spied the bar and walked over getting himself a beer. He sat down on a table near the floor. He looked around at the mortals dancing around the floor, and sighed. He was clad in a black t-shirt, jeans, and a yellow sweatshirt. The dog collar he always wore was loosely hanging around his neck.
Damn it felt good to be around mortals, and he fed earlier that night before heading to the club. The ladies were fine here, but most of them were with dates. Well it wasn't exactly easy being a single vampire. Wasn't exactly something that turned the girls on.
Then again it was good to be by himself. Work was taking up a lot of his time, and Alex just wanted to enjoy himself and the beer. Cheers to the single guy sitting by himself.

Jennifer's friend Ali had asked her to meet her there atleast an hour ago, and so far no sign of Ali's hot pink hair amungst the crowd of people. Ali knew that Jennifer hated clubs but that hadn't stopped her from begging a blue streak so that she wouldn't have to go alone.
Jen stood infront of the bar, her back turned to it so that she faced the crowd of men and women dancing provacativly. If she had any rhythm or grace she'd probably be out there with them, but Jen danced like Elaine from Seinfeld ... and it was something nobody wanted to see. There was movement behind her and letting her head fall back she found herself staring at the bartender upside down. His lips gave way to a sideways grin, "Ali left you here by yourself huh?". Ali was a regular and sometimes when Jennifer wasn't up for arguing she drug her along.
"Yep."
The guy's name was Eric and was probably a few years older than herself, with his hair cut super short and his clothes alittle too baggy he looked older and shorter than he really was. Eric poured her a drink and put it on the bar top as Jen turned around so that her whole body was facing him. "I think you might need this, it's on me." Eric left the bottle on the counter and pointed across the room. "That guy over there seems to be in the same situation as you ... maybe ... ya know ..." Jen glanced to where he had pointed and before she could say anything Eric went on to his next customer.
Jen took a drink ... a long drink and looked over to where Alex was sitting once more before plucking up the courage to go over there.
Her mouth moved slightly as she tried to think of what exactly to say, but the walk to the table hadn't been as far as it appeared at the bar and suddenly she found herself standing in front of him.
"Uhm, hi. Mind if I sit here?" If the music hadn't been so loud the fact that her voice was shaking would have been easily noticed. Her cheeks were flushed but she lied to herself and simply thought that it was warm in the club due to the numerous amount of people occupying it.

Alex was simply enjoying watching the people dance. He wasn't one for dancing, especially to this kind of music. He liked heavier rock music. It had been a while since he'd been to one of these clubs, and it was a nice change of scenery. Looking over at the bar he noticed the bartender pointing his way, but thought he was pointing at someone else.
The vampire swirled his beer around turning his attention back to the crowd. He could smell the musk and sweat from where he was, and let out a sigh. He hadn't fed from anyone since he almost killed Eire, and he returned to drinking dead blood.
Then a girl walked over to him. He looked up at the girl, and shrugged. "Go right ahead." He said with a warm smile. He stood up and offered his hand to her. "I'm Alex." He could smell her pretty well, and could tell she was nervous. He didn't care, it made her look cuter. He unconsciously playing with the collar he wore around his neck. She was probably definitely older than him in appearance, but he didn't mind. She seemed like someone he could get to like. "Do you come here a lot?" He asked curious.

(In real life I would probably never go with someone younger or shorter than myself. I dated a guy that was two inches smaller than me and it weirded me out in the worst way, there was also a guy that was two feet shorter than me and thought he had a chance. Anywho I don't think Alex is short and aside from appearance he isn't young ... but yeah... just a little side note.)
She took his hand as he stood up. "I'm Jen." Pulling out the chair across from him she sat before placing her drink on the table. She thought he was cute and didn't really notice that he seemed younger than her, but then again what girl wants to think she looks older than she feels. She secretly thanked Eric and Ali in the back of her mind as she took a drink from her beer. "Not really, I was supposed to meet a friend but it seems she ditched me. What about you? Do you come here alot?"
She glanced over her shoulder as a dancing couple brushed against the chair. They obviously hadn't noticed as they danced still with eyes met and bodys almost melded together. It would have made Jen nervous dancing that closely to someone, it seemed like sex but in front of everyone and with their clothes ... almost on. The thought made her blush and she quickly looked back to Alex.

Alex smiled at the mortal and nodded. "Nice to meet you." He said taking a seat. He swigged his beer, and let out a sigh. He listened to her question and shook his head. "No this is actually my firt time here." Alex scratched his head and laughed. "I'm pretty new to the city."
He spyed the couple dancing towards them and watched as they hit the chair Jen had sit on. He shook his head, and thought about how they might taste, but quickly dismissed the idea. He wasn't there to feed he was there to enjoy the company of the lady that was there. He smiled as he saw her blush and shook his head. "Are you...single?" He asked curious. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to." He said scratching the back of his head blushing a little bit.

Jen had watched his face as the couple left, there seemed to be no particular expression but thoughts clearly passed behind his eyes. She hesitated before she replied to his last question. Certainly flattered but stunned, after all it wasn't much of a pick-up line but it was honest. She was happy he atleast asked, some men just go right ahead. "Yes, I am." Her eyes stayed on his now as she tried to avoid looking anymore embarassed. "And you?"
With her recent vampire encounter Jen had grown more accustomed to pointing out common features of vampires. Flashing back on the way how his gaze had followed the couple she wondered if maybe ... nah ... couldn't be.

Dan smiled as Jen answered, and nodded. "I'm single too. Thought it'd be a good time to just come and hang out." She seemed to study him a little bit, but he didn't show anything. "Sorry if I was prying." He said laughing and scratching the back of his head. "It's been a while since I've talked to a woman one on one." He said honestly. Well at least ones that didn't scare the shit out of him like the vampiress Jean, who was a little too strict and overprotective.
Dan's eyes scanned over Jen's body, how she was dressed, how she held herself. He was trying to get an idea of her, but it wasn't exactly working. "Do you work for the police?" He asked smiling. "You seem to be pretty observent, and you don't exactly seem like the type to come here often." He was hoping his analysis was right, and wouldn't come back to bite him in the ass. Alex took a sip of his beer, and set it aside.

(Sorry I've been rather inactive lately, talk about bad timing! I'm on this other forum and I had this great idea for an all woman gang ... kind of like Sin City's Old Town Girls but their not sluts. It's been keeping me so busy.)
Jen laughed. "Wow. Your good." She leaned back into the chair as she took a swig from her beer. "I'm an intern at the police station, not really a piggie yet. And yeah, I never come to places like this unless I'm dragged." She paused, watching him. "I'm glad I did though."
Jen laid off with the whole studying thing, afraid she might come off as paranoid or suspicious or just weird. The last thing she wanted to do was chase off a guy like Alex. She smiled and scooted her chair closer, small chat was nice and all but ...
Darkasian - April 18, 2007 03:39 AM (GMT)
Alex was mentally doing a victory dance as Jen said he was right. He smiled and took a sip of the beer. "I'm usually wrong at that." He said honestly blushing a little bit. She seemed to relax a little bit, at least that was what Alex saw. He decided to stop studying too. It was pretty rare for a girl to walk up to him, even hookers. He was usually the one doing the walking up to.
"I'm glad you came too. It'd be pretty boring sitting here by myself." Then an idea popped into his head. Maybe he'd...nah he didn't think Jen would be interested, but he didn't know. "Ummmm...Would you like to go dance?" He asked shrugging. "There's nothing much else to do here."
Rin - May 2, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
Jen smiled and nodded. "Well, we could dance, but don't expect anything spectacular ... I've been told I have two left feet." She stood up and went to his seat. "Or we ditch this dump and go somewhere else ... and no not my place." She tied her hair back with a band before taking his beer from the table and took a drink. "I'm not that kind of girl." Gently she set the bottle back on the table in front of him as she waited for a response.
Darkasian - May 2, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
Alex smiled as Jen said that she had two left feet. "If you have two left feet then I have two right feet. Never been good at dancing." He wasn't exactly the most coordinated guy ever, and he'd probably make a fool of himself. Then she was talking about going somewhere else. "How about my place?" He asked joking. "Where would you like to go? I'm up for pretty much anywhere...A little too noisy for me." He said scratching his ear.
Alex was really in the mood for wandering around with the mortal he just met.
