Title: In The Shadows
Caylex - March 16, 2004 03:04 AM (GMT)
Caylex was curled up in a comfortable chair in a corner of the Library, yawning softly. He had a copy of If I pay thee not in gold resting on his knee and he adjusted the lamp over head. The sounds of the pages turning were the only sound coming from his corner. His light black hair flopped delicately in his face. He pulled his plaid skirt down a bit, pulling the edgs of his trench coat over his thighs. He passed for a woman very well. He licked his lips lightly as he turned the page once more. His headphones around his head sounded softly:
I been watching, I been waiting, In the shadows all my time. I been searching
I been living, For tomorrows all my life.
In the Shadows by the Rasmus. He enjoyed this song. His foot tapped lightly in time with the music.
They say, That i must learn to kill before i can feel safe. But I, I rather kill myself then turn into their slave. Sometimes I feel that I should go and play with the thunder. Somehow I just don't wanna stay and wait for a wonder.
He stood up quietly and headed for the front desk, his finger marking his page in to book
Lately I been walking walking in circles, watching waiting for something
Feel me touch me heal me, come take me higher

Plunk. Oops.
She dropped her book, in guess who’s path. Because she can.
Oh, but not a smirk, a genuine smile. Yes, though the very library was a place to contribute more frowns than anything else. She has, for some bit, been haunting the mortal’s shadow, out of boredom, and none other than mischief.
Was this the mock vampire she had heard of? A mortal with canines the size of a baby vampire? Hrm.
Her presence was foreboding, more an augural suggestion she might just, nip someone. But no. She wasn’t going to, but just to trouble someone, she turned up, out of the dark corners that was spread so conveniently through out the entire library.
Abrupt. Well, ofcourse. The word should have rhymed with ‘Adrea’.

Caylex looks down and smiles before leaning down to pick up her book. "Here..." He says in a soft voice. "You dropped this..." He licks his lips gently, looking at the floor.

She blinked slowly. Yerr.
"Thanks" she took the useless books from him, depositing them on the counter top. The names of the books, and what they were about were oblivious to her. Hands fumbled around her dress coat for the library card, which she would suddenly need, or look awkward attempting to carry books around without a purpose.
Diverting her thoughts from the cumbersome books, she turned her analytical attentions back on the male. "Your from around here aren't you?" already anticipating his answer "Have you noticed the lack of potential in the area? Most of the people seem.. dead." Her voice was at normal tone, carrying a note of indifference. Ironic, however a person took it. Choosing her words carefully, though not hiding the obvious meaning, she began musing out the response that would be played before her.
Ofcourse, it struck her as strange. This town, was covered in vamps. Who’s to complain anywho…

Caylex smiles slightly, his lips not uncovering his teeth. "I suppose thats one way of putting it." He nods and pulls a book mark from his pocket, putting it in his place in the book.
I been watching, I been waiting, In the shadows all my time. I been searching
I been living, For tomorrows all my life.
The cd player continued to play around his throat. He buttons his jacket in the middle to keep it closed.
