Appearance:
Vaughan, if you look at him out of the corner of your eyes, could resemble his surname. His wolfish features include dark hair and eyes the color of honey brown. His hair falls around his shoulders in soft, spiraling curls that when brushed appears frizzy and unruly and when left untouched actually becomes the envy of most people. It is a thick, rich mass of color, so thick that pulling it back into a ponytail does not give the illusion of having short hair. His eyes are wolfish brown and often carry the personality that one comes to expect of a puppy or an innocent child. He often looks intrigued, curious, or surprised.

His features are narrow and very nearly delicate in a way that lacks masculinity almost to the point of being called pretty. His nose is straight and narrow and his lips almost pale. His lower lip is a little fuller then his upper lip causing an almost perpetual pout that only aids the wolfish puppy look. Vaughan's shoulders are thin but just a little too wide for his figure, his chest, stomach, and hips slender. He stands at only five feet five inches tall and weighs somewhere between 110 and 115. He often dresses in torn up blue jeans that fit at the waist and are loose on the legs, a surfer style tee-shirt, and skater style shoes. When the weather permits he wears boots and a leather jacket.

History:
Vaughan was the product of a teen age couples biggest mistake. Vaughan 's mother, Gwyn, was seventeen, one month short of eighteen, and his father, Marcus, was twenty when Vaughan was conceived. They married four months into the pregnancy, the marriage inevitably got Gwyn disowned from her family and with Marcus' parents already divorced and a great tension settled between all of the children and the parents, the teen couple had nowhere to turn. Marcus got a job with a construction company.

When the baby boy was born, healthy and screaming, Gwyn named him after her grandfather, the name meant 'the little one'. The cost of a new born baby drove a desperate sleep deprived Marcus went in search for a different job with different hours. He found one that didn't pay more but made better tips in a strip club as a bar tender. Two years after Vaughan's birth Gwyn wanted to start working and the pair discussed a child daycare center, though they didn't have the income to finance it. Only three weeks before the owner of the club that Marcus worked in had made a comment about also owning a male strip club and that Marcus wasn't a bad man to look at. Three more weeks passed and Marcus chose to partake of what sounded like an offer and he went to the club. He became a male dancer that same night and almost doubled his income. However they never needed to find or pay for a daycare center because Gwyn took a job as a librarian. She worked during the day when Marcus stayed home with Vaughan. Gwyn would come home at four and they would spend the next four hours together, then Marcus would go to work until four am. Then Gwyn would leave for work again at eight in the morning.

Vaughan's parents were open and truthful with him through out his childhood, explaining Marcus' job when they thought he was old enough to understand it. They taught him his ABC's, to read, and to write and memorize their address before he ever went to school. Vaughan was a brilliant child, and a talented one, who spent most of his time reading or writing or dancing. By junior high school he could have won a talent show with his dance moves with his eyes closed. He was probably the only young teen that hadn't gone through the dreaded rebellious stage.

For years Vaughan was the tallest child in his class but half way through his sophomore year he stopped growing and became one of the shortest males in the school. It didn't bother him and it didn't stop him from being one of the most well liked boys. His open personality and charm attracted people.

When Vaughan was in his senior year at school his parents died in a fire in their apartment when the building went up in flames. It crushed Vaughan and it took him a long time to see past the fact that he was sitting in the stands at a school football game while his mother and father burned alive inside of their apartment. The most unfortunate part: the fire was started when a seven year old on the first floor knocked over a candle and the curtains caught the flame.

Vaughan's perfect school records dropped drastically in the third quarter of the year while he mourned his loss. He lived in a temporary foster home and his foster mother, Mrs. Patten, reminded him that his parents worked so hard so that he could have a good life and that his grades weren't just important to them but should be to him as well. He took her reminder to heart and in his last quarter his grades came back up.

When Vaughan graduated he moved out of his foster home and into a small, low end apartment. In the footsteps of his father, Vaughan started stripping. He was a confident young man, comfortable with his body and his sexuality. Despite the fact that he was not gay or bisexual, something made him comfortable enough to take off his clothes in front of other men, enough so that he could let another man lay hands on him without becoming squeamish. And, of course, in the footsteps of his young mother, Vaughan became a book worm. He spent so much time at the library that when the monthly time came around to select the less rented books to hand off to charity, the librarians gave Vaughan the first pick of the books, no charge. The past six months, since his parent's deaths, he has accumulated his own small library along the wall of his apartment.

Update - July 6, 2009:
Vaughan knows what vampires are. He also knows of their reality. Tatsumi revealed herself to Vaughan when he was eighteen. She took him to bed and fed from him and for the first time since his parents death, Vaughan had someone to love. Vaughan's love is innocent and adoring and easy to come by. With her encouragement he chased his dreams. Vaughan left town. For two years he did what he knew how to do: he stripped. He also went to school. Vaughan has returned and he is stripping again. However, he is an educated stripper now.

Just to point out, Demaitre is actually in Ontario... Although Google tells me there's a town of Ontario in New York, but I'm guessing you didn't mean that one. So either he didn't travel very far, or maybe you'll want to pick another province. =)
