Benedict stammered through the trees of central park New York City-- yes the big apple. He had gotten on a train in Demaitre for some reason really unknown to him and had continued the venture to New York.

Only moment before Ben had fed from a young man leaving a bar who had been smashed beyond belief -- Ben was enjoying the buzz he got from the guy's blood.

To add to the enjoyment of the moment Ben bought a six pack from a corner store and was carrying around the half empty case in one hand and a 3/4 empty bottle in the other.

For some reason he felt it neccesary to leave his shirt, hoody, and sneakers at the store just inside the door. So he was wandering around in practically his nothing except for his faded black straight legged jeans that had gaping holes in the knees.

He giggled foolishly as he looked around wonderingly. He saw an owl that hard started hooting and laughed hysterically, throwing the mostly empty beer at the bird, "Who are you Whoing?!!"

Perry had been in town for about three days. His sister, who had moved her a few years back, had just given birth to the most amazing little girl on the face of the planet. Yes, even Perry had his soft spots. Jill, his sister, was now at home resting with her husband, Tom, there to watch over her. Their dog, Juicy, a three month old Golden Retriever, had been barking up a storm and woke the baby, so Perry offered to take him out. After all, how many chances would he have to walk, unhindered, around NYC? Not too many. Plus, it being past midnight, only the partygoers were out, really, so he wouldn't have to deal with annoying crowds, just random annoying people. Who would probably be drunk, but right now he didn't care.

The soft night air rustled through the trees of Central Park as Perry and Juicy jogged along. The pup had been itching to run and play, and Perry figured he could use the workout, having neglected his own schedule for almost a week now. The stars shined down through the leaves of the trees, and Perry suddenly found himself wondering why he never went out at night except when he was working. Yeah, he was usually dead tired by the time dark fell, but there was something refreshing about night. Something awakening. Maybe it was just the endorphins from the baby's birth....

Perry stopped jogging as he heard someone yell and a glass bottle break. He looked around and didn't see anyone, but that didn't mean much. Suddenly, he remembered exactly why he didn't go out at night. The crazies were out at night. Just like he used to tell his sister when she was in college: "I work at an ER. I see what really happens to people at night. Please don't become one of them." Perry decided it was time to return to his sister's apartment. Now. He turned and pulled the pup, but the dog seemed intent upon going the other way. Perry cursed softly as the puppy let out a loud yelp. Well, it was official. Whatever quack was out there knew he was there now.

Almost as if time had stopped and his predatory instinct kicked into hyper drive, he heard the huffing of a small dog and the paniced heart of a human man ... possible dinner?

Slowly he kicked it into sleath mode and silently he climbed a nearby tree and quickly but still silent he made his way through many tree until he was only two trees from the man and his dog.

Ben was in a frisky mood so out of fun he growled like a mountian lion to get the guy freaked, "Rrraarrr!" The noise echoed and he watched with pure excitement, waiting for the man to respond.
