Title: A stroll

Helen Gustare - February 16, 2007 04:19 AM (GMT)
The evening was young, and Helen was out and about on her own. She walked near a pond, and stuck her feet into the cool water. She ducks were sleeping, and honked softly in the reeds. Helen smiled, and threw a few pebbles into the pond, enjoying herself.

A cool wind swept through her soft hair, and the moon shone brightly through the clouds. It was a nice night, and Helen only wished she had someone to enjoy it with. Her thoughts wandered, and she noticed a small crow flying above her head. She raised an eyebrow, and suddenly wished she had some bread to give it.

Helen wandered over to a nearby bench, and sat down, letting her feet dry before she put her boots back on. She was happy, and content with her life as of the present. She couldn't ask for anything more. After her encounter with Michael... Her life seeme to be re-opening for her. She smiled to herself, and stared up at the sky dotted with stars.

Pandora Lorrain - February 16, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
Kieran was off for a night in the park. He was happy with the way things were going. Him and Kanti were doing great, they were in love and nothing could go better. It was funny though. Imagine a 14 year old and a 15 year old in love. Well they weren't truly that age.

Kieran had pulled his long hair back into a pony tail and it had a golden shine in the moonlight. His blue eyes were emphasized by his dark blue shirt and matched said shirt perfectly. He wore a pair of black slacks with the shirt and looked quite dashing. A few girls had giggled when he had passed by and he had winkied at them, sending them into further giggling. It was quite fun.

Kieran noticed the other figure and decided to amble off to see her. "Beautiful night no?" His Scottish accent was clear as he spoke.

Helen Gustare - February 16, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
Helen almost jumped at the voice, and caught sight of a young man who looked no more than 15. She smiled, and nodded. "I couldn't agree more." She smiled, and was almost shocked at her own friendliness. Usually, she didn't say much around strangers... Maybe it was the beautiful night that changed her usual response.

"What brings you out here on this night, sir?" She held out her hand, and smiled, "Helen Gustare. And you are?" She sat up on the bench and smoothed her pants, which had become ruffled from her abstract postioning, staring at the stars.

She almost laughed as she noticed the giggling girls across the way, and raised an eyebrow. "Having fun toying with young girl's hearts, good sir?" She laughed and shook her head. It was all good fun. She couldn't say she didn't toy with a mindless male's mind every once in awhile too.

Pandora Lorrain - February 16, 2007 06:08 AM (GMT)
Kieran smiled well at least she was friendly. Let's simply that most of his encounters weren't all that great, but when it came to mortals they were bundles of fun. "Let's simply say that I have a lot of charm and women seem to enjoy my charm greatly. So I only indulge them." He turned to the giggling girls and flashed them a smile with a wink.

He was pretty laidback, no one to kill, simply one out to have fun. He smiled and took her to place a soft kiss on the back of it with a small courtly bow. "Kieran Blair, here to serve you my lady." He was quite the gentlemen and he did everything he could to keep women safe. He had a warrior's heart, but gentlemanly like manners.

Helen Gustare - February 16, 2007 08:01 PM (GMT)
Helen laughed, she couldn't deny that mortals were quite fun to toy with. The ignorance of such mortals amused her. She wondered what those same giggling girls would say if they found out the truths of both herself and Kieran. "Ignorance is bliss, no?" She shook her head, and smirked at the young girls.

Helen nodded in respects to Kieran's introduction. "Quite." He seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, and someone worthy of a conversation. She looked back to the stars, "Aren't they lovely? They are the only thing I see nowadays, and I still can't get over their wonder."
Sometimes Helen felt silly, being such a sucker for stars, but truly, she thought they were magnificient. One of nature's true wonders.

Pandora Lorrain - February 16, 2007 08:08 PM (GMT)
Kieran chuckled, the sound of a man in the body of a boy. "Ignorance is bliss, besides if they knew my true nature, they probably wouldn't believe it. A handsome person like me a vampire? They definitely wouldn't believe that." He knew he was handsome to some extent, not completely mature, but if he had been a little older he would have been an eye sore. Women would have simply flocked around him. Truthfully though he was happier this way and preferred to keep it that way.

Kieran followed her gaze and smiled. "To think that in a different galaxies they are suns in their own right, sometimes even bigger than our own. Funny isn't it?" Broad daylight killed them yet a million of tiny specks made of mostly the same substance didn't remotely damage them. Yes they were far and didn't brighten anything up, but it was still a remarkable thought. "They are very pretty."

Helen Gustare - February 25, 2007 05:05 PM (GMT)
Helen shrugged. Most people didn't think vampires even existed. And if they did, they probably were wanting to become a vampire, or practiced our ways strangely. But, as far as Helen knew, the only humans who were aware of her existance, where the ones she selected to feed upon.

Though she looked at him strangely whenever he started talking about galaxies. She had never really studied astrology, and only looked to the stars for enjoyment - never really knowing about them. "Is that right, Sir Blair? I'm afraid my astrology knowledge is limited." She squinted her eyes at the stars this time, trying to see, and imagine the billions of galaxies he was referring to. Her simple mind could not grasp it however. She simply saw them as beautiful dots to a beautifully colored midnight sky.

Pandora Lorrain - February 26, 2007 04:54 AM (GMT)
Kieran was pretty much relaxed. He was simply out for a night stroll. He undid his hair that was tied up in a pony tail, slid his fingers through it and retied it. He simply wanted to make sure that his hair was nice. It was a vanity thing, perhaps the only thing he was truly vain about.

Kieran nodded to her. "Yes it is true. Out there, there are many thousands of galaxies like our own, yet none are exactly the same as our own. They are all unique and we are no sure whether they have life or not. Everything from out there is a mystery." To him it was a mystery and if he hadn't been a vampire, he probably would have become an astronaut. He loved the stars. "Besides it isn't astrology, but astronomy."

He made a face to her. "Please don't call me sir Blair. It makes me feel old, very old. I may be old, but I do not look it, madam."

Helen Gustare - March 2, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
She listened to Kieran, and thought of all the mysteries of the world... There were enough here, on Earth... And to think there were countless worlds beyond this one. Including death... Something Helen feared she will never know... Was death a world, a luxery that humans were allowed? Helen herself had that gift too... Until it had been taken from her too soon... And a vampire had saved her. But had he really saved her?

Helen's face was solem, and almost confused. She nodded. Astronomy? "Forgive me," She whispered. On both accounts, she would have flushed pink if she still had her humanistic qualities.

Pandora Lorrain - March 2, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
To Kieran, life and death were simply journeys. They were journeys like mortals take trips to different parts of the world, trying to see all before they began the new journey of death. There were times where Kieran was curious what lay behind the screen that separated a person from life and death, yet he would never go as far as to see what lay there. He prefered living.

He shook his head at her. "There is nothing to apologize for, many make the mistake. Which is completely understandable, considering that they are almost exactly the same. One letter makes the entire difference between reading the stars and reading someone's palm." He let a smile play across his face.

Helen Gustare - March 3, 2007 04:07 AM (GMT)
Helen raised an eyebrow, and tilted her head slightly. Could he read palms? She was slightly confused by this... Certainly not! Those were just gypsies trying to scam money, right? That is what her grandmother had always advised...

She asked him though, "Can you read palms, Kieran?" She was always curious about the future, and what it may bring... Since she happened to have a lot of future.

Pandora Lorrain - March 3, 2007 04:15 AM (GMT)
Kieran kept her eyes on the sky. It was definitely a beautiful night, a little chilly by human standards, but definitely beautiful. He liked to simply enjoy beautiful things, it made life seem so much better than they already were. A let a soft sigh of contentment escape his lips. The after life couldn't get much better.

He glanced at her startled by her question. "Read palms? Me? Oh no I'm a warrior, I don't read palms, though some say that my mother was very good at it. She could sometimes accurately describe the future of a person. I sometimes think that my grand sire could do the same, though I never proved that."

Helen Gustare - March 10, 2007 05:07 AM (GMT)
Helen shrugged, almost in disappointment. She somewhat figured he couldn't read palms... But it would have been interesting if he could. She shook her head and sighed. "Thats too bad, I was curious of what eternity had in store for me." She laughed, and looked back up to the stars. Maybe they knew what time had in mind better than her palm did.

Though at the thought of being a warrior, Helen raised an eyebrow. She turned her head so that she could see Kieran better, and looked confused. She wondered what a warrior did these days... Surely he grew bored. "So, what does a warrior such as yourself without a league to fight in and damsels to save occupy his endless glass of life do with his time?" She laughed, and was quite interested to know what kind of answer he would come up with.

Pandora Lorrain - March 10, 2007 05:12 AM (GMT)
Kieran shrugged. His eldest sister that was a year younger than him, had been learning everything she could from his mom, when he had been turned. He remembered watching his mother tutor her and seeing Alanna stress out, because she couldn't remember everything. It was often done and pleasant evenings where he didn't have much to do, but watch. He loved to watch.

Kieran smiled at her. "What does a warrior such as me do? Meet pretty damsels that could be in distress. I can't save them now, but perhaps at a later note when they would need it, desperately." His eyes twinkled with mischievous intent. "I do what I can. I am but a poor soul, with no direction in life. Though I do like this being free. Perhaps I can finally become a bard or a savant. I haven't decided which yet."

Helen Gustare - March 16, 2007 10:04 PM (GMT)
A savant? What the bloody hell was a savant? Helen raised an eyebrow, and shook her head, laughing. "I'm afraid bards are long gone, and I haven't the slightest idea of what a savant is!" She threw her head back and figure this man must still have his head in ancient times where dragons and men of evil needed slaying.

To be honest, Helen loved reading of such tales in her storybooks. It was a time that she figured most didn't live in, but only read about in the vast pages of literature. Yes, Helen was victimed to the grasps on a book deep inside a musty library when most would be outside playing.

Pandora Lorrain - March 17, 2007 04:02 AM (GMT)
Kieran chuckled. "Then perhaps I am doomed to have a beautiful voice and not even be able to use it. The shame of it all. What a wondrous gift God gave me, to then never be used at all." He pretended to give a sigh of depression, though he quite enjoyed the fact that only a few people would hear it.

He chuckled again. "A savant, my dear, is a very intelligent and philosophical person. In the past they were men and nowadays they don't quite exist anymore or in that sense. Some we call simply philosophers and others we call scientists." He gave another sigh. "I live in the past and can't seem to make my way out of it." His eyes twinkled at her. "Perhaps you have an idea of what I can do with my poor, meaningless life."

Helen Gustare - August 15, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
[OOC: Sorry, seemed to fall of the face of the Earth for a bit]

"Then perhaps I am doomed to have a beautiful voice and not even be able to use it. The shame of it all. What a wondrous gift God gave me, to then never be used at all."

Helen sighed lightly in agreement. Despite his boasting, he really did have a nice voice. She titled her head slightly as he continued to speak. She wondered if he would just sit there and complain, of if he would like to tell her a story. "So, would you like to entertain me with one of your stories, or just complain how you never get the change anymore?" She raised an eyebrow. Her voice was still unusually cold, but yet, she was having a civil conversation with such a stranger. Odd.

"A savant, my dear, is a very intelligent and philosophical person. In the past they were men and nowadays they don't quite exist anymore or in that sense. Some we call simply philosophers and others we call scientists."

Her lips curled slightly, and she nodded. "Ah, I see. And what sort of things do you philosophize about?" She wasn't sure if 'philosophize' was a word, but who cared? She didn't. She simply asked, and waited for a reply. Hmm... Interesting man, that was for sure. He seemed to keep her interests without completely infuriating her.

"Perhaps you have an idea of what I can do with my poor, meaningless life."

Helen shrugged, and looked up to the stars for a brief moment. She herself had problems in that area... The past haunted her regularly, and even though he was jesting about his own miserable life, she lived one. She turned back to him, and the curl in her lips disappeared. "I ask myself that same question..." Her eyes seemed to look straight through Keiran, and were distant.
