Let's say that a mortal was decapitated. Could they still be turned? I mean, the head would have to be reattached somehow, of course. Or would they grow a new one? I'm just curious, but it also happens to be relevant to a possible future character idea of mine.
Nope. I doubt that seriously... The mortal needs to ingest the blood... And besides, even a vampire couldn't survive without a brain. And I don't think you can just grow a brain back... Heck, no need to hog brains, a lot of people dont' have any to begin with! Heh heh.
Besides, death is all but instintanius when you're beheaded if all my reading prooves right. The twitches and blinks or whatever that are recorded after the head is gone is just automatic nerve responces... Think how a chicken runs aroun dwith it's head cut off (Very entertaining if you can handle blood and fairly sick stuff like me...)
But I believe any mod will say no to a decapitated vampire... No headless horsemen :P
I'd have to agree with Angel on that. It would be basically impossible to turn a mortal without a head, I mean the simple fact if that there wouldn't be enough time. After all, the transformation into a vampire isn't instantaneous if I remember correctly, it takes place over a couple hours, or even a couple days.
I'm not a mod or anything, but I could give you a 99.9% guarantee that a headless vampire, or a mortal being changed after decapitation, isn't going to fly.

I put my seal of approval on everything stated above.
Cutting a head off a vampire kills said vampire.
Cutting a head off a mortal kills said mortal.
If you try to like... do a transfusion with vampire blood after said person is beheaded, all you'll end up with is a corpse with vampire blood in it. It won't do diddly squat. It'll just be dead. Dead, dead, dead.
No go. Sorry.
