Title: Moonlight at Midnight
Description: For Helen, and anyone else interested

It was ten to twelve when Aerona had first entered the park. It had been empty, ld have been quite strange were it not for the sudden cold front sweeping through Demaitre.
She could imagine the sight she would have made; trapiesing around unattended in a sheer lace dress, stockings, and patent leather Mary Janes. Her cheeks flushed pink from her most recent meal. Rather... inappropriate.
A sharp breeze picked up, rippling the reflection of a full moon ontop of one of the parks 'aesthic' lakes. Taking her shoes into her hands she walked through the sand until she could feel the water running over her feet, and began to asess her reflection. Her hair had been touseled, but still remained the same length and shade as it had been last one hundred years. And the two before that.
'I suppose I won't wake up one day and find myself.. different?'
It was a rhetorical question, and a rather foolish one at that. And though it wasn't in her nature to ask unnecessary questions, tonight, with the wind blowing through her hair, and anothers blood running through her veins... she felt inspired.
Though, the possibility of her victim being drunk was very high.

Helen wandered through the night. She had placed her new outfit she had purchased with Catherine under the bed she had claimed at the church, and returned the old turtleneck, and black pants with the accompanying combat boots to her body. It was comfortable, and had several years of being worn into them.
Her boots dragged against the dirt as she slowly paced through the park. It was quiet, a sound she had grown too familar with. She wondered why there was no one in the park. She figured if anything, there would be a young couple who had snuck out among some trees or, something. If she had not become so aquainted with silence, she would have called it eerie.
Then, she noticed a small girl by the lake. Curious, she proceeded towards her. A little reluctant to talk, she still moved closer. She stopped at a tree however, and watched her, with her big ice blue eyes. She was curious at what this young girl was up to. A vampire too, perhaps? One would not expect a girl of her apparent age to be out and about at this hour; alone, by any means.

Her reflection was distorted by a particularly strong breeze, bringing with it the scent of another, and a change in attitude. She became rather guarded when within the presence of others, as many tended to pass judgments on her. Though, she was well on her way to her two thousandth year, and very well capable of handling herself, as many had found out the hard way.
"Why don't you come closer? I won't bite.."
A smile curved her small pale lips, the barest hint of fangs showing. They were small and delicate, very much so like her, though sharp enough to tear through most objects, human flesh included. They had taken much getting used to in her earlier years.
Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she turned with a flourish of her skirt towards Helen. She appeared innocent and congenial, the personifaction of 18th century ettiquette. Her toes wiggled in what would seem an anxious manner and with her shoes in hand, she squeegeed sand between the appendages.

Helen let out a small 'hmph' and stayed put. This little girl had a strange quality about her, that made Helen's quiet nature hold back. She eyed the strange little girl, with the same curiosity as before, but with a little more defense to her stance. She continued to lean against the tree, and took in a deep breah of the rising winds.
Helen noticed the rippling of the water at the distance, and smirked. She liked the moonstuck lake... It was peaceful. Her mind seemed to leave her, and the strange little girl as she remembered a previous life full of summers of swimming, and playing in the sunlight. She blinked, returning to the girl.
Who was she? And where did she get such a forward edge about her? Helen was quiet, and reserved, nothing like this child who sought to provoke her. She figured this girl was centuries older than her features showed, years of experience her face and eyes. They held a weight in them that no mortal child she knew of, held themselves.

She noticed the sudden change in Helen's stance; Perhaps she had come on too strong?
'Or maybe, she's wise enough to tread cautiously..'
Walking away from the waters edge she left small footprints in the sand as she stepped back onto the path. She was silent, but then, when wasn't she?
"My, you speak with such haste!" She flashed the girl a coy smile, one that looked grossly inappropriate on the face of a six year old.
She stepped into her shoes, before smoothing the skirt of her dress and slipping into a curtesy. It was fluid, and well practiced by the look of it.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Aerona Barras, though Aerona is perfectly fine.." With the introduction, the air of foolishness she seemed to project faded, leaving in it's wake a solemn feel.
If her sudden mood swings where any indication, Helen was in for a long, long ride.

Helen watched the young appearing girl advance towards her, her own stance unchanging. She watched the girl not make a sound... She perhaps wouldn't have noticed her if she had been facing another direction.
Helen nodded politely, not exactly with a warm, friendly expression, but out of what was proper. She blinked, at the winds rising. "Helen Gustare. "
She scanned this girl with her cold eyes, and made small judgments. She was a curious one, and a different one at that. Young appearing vampires usually had the worse attitude. Simply because they were frustrated from looking so young, and having a mind of one so old... She could definately understand.
Helen was mature, to a point, but emotionally lost.
