Title: Some serious drinking to do
Description: Open
Neutral_George - December 4, 2006 12:50 AM (GMT)
((OOC-This is the immediate follow-up for William in "An interesting night" under the Middleton Mall forum.))
The truck stopped with a sudden force and squeal of tires that anyone with a few blocks would have noted.
Locking the truck behind him William sped into the front of the tavern.
He sat down at a table towards the back corner that had low lighting and was semi-private. In a voice that he did not seem to be able to modulate he demanded that the waitress nearby bring him a bottle of whiskey and a glass now.
She recognized him. He had actually helped her out with a couple of drunks that were groping her in the past. His behavior was a bit out of whack so she knew something was bothering and did not hold it against him.
As she approached the table the lighting caught his eyes and they were filled with fear and wonderment.
William now sat in consult with his bottle.
Pandora Lorrain - December 6, 2006 06:13 AM (GMT)
Catherine rarely came to that tavern, it wasn't quite her scene, yet there was something about it that attracted her, every now and then. She was wearing her traditional black choker with a silver cross pendant hanging on it. She wore pants, because it was getting to cold for the skirt she favoured. She was wearing brown corderoies with a dark green sweater, that hid the black t-shirt. To complete the outfit she wore black sneakers.
AS soon as she entered, her attention was grabbed by the man who sat in a corner all alone. There was fear, but also a sense of wonder and that immediately caught her interest. She walked towards him. "May I join you?"
Neutral_George - December 9, 2006 02:10 AM (GMT)
William did not notice her at first.
Occupied with the events that had recently taken place, he continued to pour himself a drink and then down it almost as soon as he finished pouring.
As he was putting the glass back onto the table he noticed Catherine standing there waiting for reply to a question that he realized he had actually heard but blocked out initially.
“Sure, take a seat. I could use some company right now.”
He started pouring himself another drink.
Pandora Lorrain - December 9, 2006 02:15 AM (GMT)
Catherine waited for an answer, but he seemed deeply troubled. She took a seat after he told her to join him and she leaned her elbows on the table. "What's bothering you, darling?" She called everyone darling, she had picked it up from other people and now used it all the time. Though only one ever heard her say it with love.
She watched him pour himself and drink to then down it and repeat this event over and over again. She placed a hand on his lower arm. "Careful darling, you don't want to get drunk."
Neutral_George - December 9, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
He turned his head with a smile.
“Oh yes I do. This has been one fucked up night lady, pardon my French.”
But he let go of the glass for the moment nevertheless. His head swaggered back a bit, “Where are my manners? My name is Billy Bob. What’s yours, darling?” Even though drinking is something he did often, building a high tolerance, and his mass compensated greatly, William was indeed—drunk.
His eyes moved back to the bottle that was just minutes ago full and with dismay said, “Who drank all of my whiskey?” He then yelled, “Waitress we need another bottle and glass over here,” as he threw more money onto the table for her to pick up when she came over.
With that distraction out of the way he turned his attention to the pretty woman who just sat down. And then it hit him she could be one of them.
With a jovial tone that someone who has been drinking possess he said, “You are alive aren’t you?”
Pandora Lorrain - December 9, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Catherine couldn't help but smile. "I'm French you know and the name's Catherine." She said her name the way the French pronounced it, the way her sire had said it. She smiled remembering fondly.
"Don't you think you had enough to drink, you are drunk." She wouldn't say no to free booze though perhaps whisky was not something she should be drinking. She wrinkled her small nose at the though of it.
She looked at him, startled. Was she alive? Well by many standards she was and by others not so much. He had met a vampire, first encouters were never really good, especially in this case. "Well last time I checked, I was alive. Why do you ask?" Last time she had checked had been over 300 years ago, she wasn't quite lying.
Neutral_George - December 9, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
The waitress had dropped off the bottle and glass, taken the money and walked away.
Picking up the bottle he poured them both a drink and picking it up with a slight push in her direction, “Sorry it has just been a rough night. And now that I think about it, I am drunk.”
He downed his drink and his eyes glazed over. Looking at her, “I don’t think it would be prudent to keep drinking here.” He paused, smiled and said, “It’s a good thing I have a room upstairs.” He picked up his bottle and stood up surprisingly steady for his condition.”
“I am going up stairs. You are welcome to come…,” his eye was suddenly fixated out the front window where a casual observer would assume that the young man sucking on the woman’s neck was just giving her a hickey. But, William recognized it as feeding as he had just seen this in the park. Suddenly the wonderment and confusion that had kept him in check vanished and again there was anger.
“Fucking vampires,” he said, at a volume he thought was under his breath, and started making his way to the exit, bottle in hand, and out of the tavern.
Pandora Lorrain - December 9, 2006 03:46 AM (GMT)
"Rough nights happen, darling, they simply happen. Sometimes for better or for worse." She nodded. "Yes you are drunk." She was amazed at the way he held steady even in this state of drunkness.
Catherine shrugged it wasn't like she had anything better to do quite at this moment. She got up and was going to say that she would love to when his attention shifted. She followed his gaze and saw what he did and realized that he had put two and two together. Not necessarily a good sign when you are drunk.
She heard his comment and made way to follow him and hope to God that no trouble would happen. That vampire was older than her. That could not be a good sign, never was a good sign.
(OOC: can the vampire be Dmitri, please? pretty pretty please...)
Neutral_George - December 9, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
William burst out the door and threw the bottle at full force at the vampire yelling “Hey dickhead, get off the woman.” The bottle flew with a serious impact at the base of the vampire’s neck and the glass shattered in all directions.
With his free hand he loosed the latch on the knife sheath he kept tucked in the back of his jacket and was ready to pull it when this predator turned around.
((OOC--Yes, nice twist))
Pandora Lorrain - December 9, 2006 04:07 AM (GMT)
Catherine winced as the bottle flew through the air and hit the other vampire. That was not a good sign. Catherine rushed to Billy. "What do you think you are doing?" She returned her gaze and saw the vampire look at both of them and recognition falshed across her face. She had seen him before, though he seemed different.
Dmitri paused as soon as the bottle hit the back of his neck. He relased the woman who was still alive, though he hadn't quite planned to kill her. She had been moaning and enjoying herself. "Can't a man have some peace?" He whirled around to glare at the man, but his eyes looked at Catherine. "I remember you." He ignored her response, to return to the mortal man. "You're a dead man."
Catherine bit her lower lip. Billy was simply having a bad day, it wasn't his fault he was drunk. "It's not his fault, he's having a bad day."
Dmitri sneered at her. "Listen lady, I don't care."
Neutral_George - December 9, 2006 04:19 AM (GMT)
William looked at Catherine suddenly, “What the hell does he mean he remembers you?” But no sooner than he said that the death threat sunk in.
The warrior in William no longer seem to be bubbling to the surface, it erupted. The knife flashed into his palm, the blade running along his forearm, a forearm connected to a mortal that was operating more on the reflex of multiple years of combat experience than anything.
“You know what corpse, I’ve heard that before.” His judgment was fully impaired with regards to rational thought as a result of the alcohol, but his body was responding to his adrenaline rush.
He knew that any fight, let alone a fight with a vampire, could be mean death. So be it.
Pandora Lorrain - December 9, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
Catherine sighed. He was a dead man, though something about the gleam in Dmitri's eyes said otherwise. He was a dead man, though perhaps he wouldn't be dead the way he wanted to be.
Dmitri tilted his head to one side. "Contrarily to what you might think. I will kill you, though perhaps not the way you think." He grinned and his face shifted. The lower part of his face elongating, showing the double set of fangs. His entire body seemed to stretch and ever joint in his body cracked audibly. "I'm ready whenever you are."
Catherine sighed well there was no way she was going to stop this. He got himself into this mess let him get out of it. She wasn't going to attack an older vampire to protect him. Dying wasn't on her agenda though she did feel bad for the older man. He simply didn't know what awaited him, that much was clear.
Neutral_George - December 9, 2006 04:39 AM (GMT)
The nightmarish scene of the vampire before him left him with the realization that this was a fight he could not win.
He could not win…
If he were sober, he would recognize that he could walk right back into the bar to the safety of people. He wasn’t sober.
He smiled at the vampire, “You know how they say that you can see your life flash before you when you are about to die? They are right.”
William Robert Hazelton attacked.
Pandora Lorrain - December 9, 2006 01:44 PM (GMT)
Was the mortal really that dense? To Dmitri it seemed that he laughed at death. Dmitri wasn't going to argue. He had been itching for a fight and now he was going to get it. His neck cracked as muscles in his body tensed for the attack that was coming. As soon as the man reached him. Dmitri moved to his side and grabbed his arm to throw him away from him and into a building nearby
He didn't put all his strength in it, but enough to wind the guy. He didn't want to kill him, he wanted a fight and it was what he was going to do.
Catherine watched on and as William attacked, she put her face into one of her hands and shook her head almost desperately. He was going to get himself killed, that was that.
Neutral_George - December 9, 2006 09:20 PM (GMT)
William hit the wall with great force sending his knife somewhere into the shadow towards the direction he just came from.
Winded and briefly dazed he realized the great pain and numbness that resided in his left shoulder. ‘Damn, that hurt,' he thought to himself. Realizing that he, by all probability, should already be dead, William rose to his feet holding the obviously dislocated arm with a smile. ‘This fella’ wants a fight. Well it’s been a while since I have taken a good ass whooping,’ he again thought to himself letting out a laugh.
With the laugh, William slammed his arm into the wall creating an eerie popping sound that put his arm back into place.
After a quick rotation of his shoulder William took up his fighting posture once again. With a smile and cavalier tone the words, “When we are done dancing, I could sure use a drink,” came from his mouth.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)
Dmitri didn't want to kill William, no he wanted a fight. Though in a less tough man, he would have been more than simply dazed. He couldn't help but grin when he saw the man pop the shoulder back in place. He loved times like this. A fight where he could go all out.
Catherine winced as William hit the wall hard. He was going to take a shit load of a beating. He didn't quite deserve it, but then again the older vampire didn't deserve to have his meal interrupted. They were both in the wrong and in the right. She winced again as he popped his shoulder back in place. That must have been painful.
Dmitri laughed as the man mentionned a drink. "If things go according to plan the only thing you will drink for the next day, will be blood. Trust me on that one."
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 12:28 AM (GMT)
The anger was turning into euphoria of sorts. William felt like a man in the most carnal of ways.
The idea of being a blood sucker did not appeal to him, but then again neither did deal and it seemed that this fight, to the extent of the last blow, was going to be honorable.
Still smiling, “Well I have to say that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.” William was taking full advantage of the rest the dialogue between the two of them provided him; he was going to need it.
Glancing out of the corner of his eye he realized that Catherine was still there. That coupled with the fact Dmitri recognized her and by all accounts was no where near as freaked out a human should be left him with a singular conclusion. “Hey lady, I am guessing by the fact you aren’t totally freaked out by this little encounter that you are like him. Figures that the first person I would talk to after dealing with that Scottish brat would be another vampire.”
William was as ready as he was going to be. Cracking his neck from side to side he moved in a bit looking for an opportunity to grab and throw his opponent.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 12:36 AM (GMT)
Catherine frowned. "I'm still alive and I'm nothing like him. He's a Tarepha, a killer. I don't kill my victims, Nephim rarely do." She was proud of that fact. She didn't need to kill to be satisfied, she could do it without causing pain to her victims, she did give pleasure though.
Dmitri snorted. "You call yourself a vampire? You're as much as a human as he is." He jerked a thumb towards William. He then turned to William. "I was hoping that it would. I love to torment people, especially tough guys like you. You actually make it worth it." Dmitri's eyes flashed, giving his face a demonic look, well he already looked like a demon and with the double fanged teeth, he looked more animal than human.
Catherine's eyes narrowed but she didn't answer, instead letting out a soft hiss of annoyance and anger. To her, he wasn't worth it, though he definitely pressed her buttons. "As least I have humanity." She muttered under her breath.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 12:51 AM (GMT)
That exchange between the vampires left William a little confused, but he maintained his focus on the animal in front of him.
What did he have to keep in mind should the opportunity present itself? Dmitri left his oral cavity and torso exposed in his combat posture.
The vampire had reason for the almost arrogant way he left his posture open. At this distance William really didn’t have an opening, but the right set of circumstances up close and personal may allow him the opportunity to temporarily turn the tide and provide for an escape.
“Buddy we have a long ways to torment. I will give you that you are strong and know how to throw a guy, but I know little guys that can do that too.” William knew an angry foe makes mistakes and damn if he wasn’t sobering up way too quick for his own liking.
It was time to make something happen. ‘The wall is behind me, the light pole behind him…’ he started noting to himself as he visually memorized the makeshift arena. Then he sighted the opportunity, but he needed Dmitri to knock him on his ass to take advantage of the environment. ‘This is going to hurt,’ he thought to himself as he stepped in and swung at the vampire’s temple.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 02:08 AM (GMT)
Dmitri held his posture that way simply because he knew that he could move fast enough to block anything that came his way. His strengths as a vampire lay in his physical movements. Many vampires had telepathy and shadow walk. He had super human strength and high speed, coupled with a high pain tolerance level. It also helped that the more pain that was caused to him the stronger he got.
Dmitri didn't need light to see him. He could see his opponent as clearly as if it was day, another thing that he liked for being a vampire. Light was irrelevant in this case. Hell everything was irrelevant, even the other man, except the fact that the other man wanted to fight him. As he swung towards him, Dmitri blocked and threw him back against the wall. Was he ever going to learn?
Catherine walked towards the woman that Dmitri had drank from and lifted her up to bring her to sit outside the tavern and keeping her away from the fight. If this kept going it would end with the turning of William.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 02:31 AM (GMT)
William expected to hit the wall and when he did made sure to fall forward this time in the direction he had just sighted his knife. Bingo he landed on the flat of the blade with a hand under his chest and he gripped it.
Looking up with blood coming out of his mouth from the damage of the impact he looked up at Dmitri and said, “Are you going to let another vampire take your meal from you?” Laughter erupted from the wounded mortal as he waited to see if the opponent would look or not. If he did he would crawl forward while he was distracted, if not he would wait for the vampire to come closer to him.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 02:44 AM (GMT)
Dmitri snorted. "She ain't stealing, she's a damn Nephim, she probably already fed. Most of them usually are ready." Dmitri took a few steps towards the man had hesitated, he was up to something. He kept stepping forward and leaned over to pin him to the floor.
Catherine had looked up at the fight, while the woman was still out and unconcious. Catherine hoped that she would wake up soon, it was simply that she was worried for the woman. She wasn't bleeding and she would wake up with a mild headache. He hadn't drank enough to make it dangerous. She knew that William had an idea.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 03:01 AM (GMT)
It was now or never.
The vampire had bent over perpendicular to his position to pin him to the ground, which meant that gravity was now on William’s side no matter how fast this creature was. The vampire’s own momentum would do the work for him.
Dmitri had almost placed his hand on William’s back when William, a former wrestler grabbed Dmitri’s ankle pushing it back as he spun away laterally to engage Dmitri’s momentum to force him into a fall.
The vampire landed on the ground with a snarl, but William continued with his plan sending the hand, with the knife, across and into the vampire’s back lodging the knife deep under the right shoulder blade. Using the force of this action William rolled away from the wounded vampire and was making his way onto his feet and back towards the tavern, struggling to breathe as he felt blood begin to fill his lungs.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 03:20 AM (GMT)
Dmitri felt him being pulled and the knife was in his back. He snarled and pain filled his vision and brain. He snarled and reached back to pull the knife swiftly out of his back. The muscles in his back rippled as they knitted back up. He stood up and let out a loud snarl, the man was going no where.
He took a few steps and let out a loud snarl. He then took off after the man and blocked the entrance of the tavern forcing William back and away. He threw him and pinned him against a wall and managed to drain almost all his blood before forcing his own blood down William's throat. He had no choice but to swallow it.
Catherine turned her head away from the scene and let Dmitri do as he pleased.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 03:26 AM (GMT)
William did not experience the victory for long.
Within moments of the knife’s entrance into Dmitri’s back, William Robert Hazelton was no more.
The last thing he saw was Catherine turning her head as he choked on the blood of his sire.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 03:41 AM (GMT)
Dmitri watched while the man in his grip loosen and keeled over. He was going to be fine and he was going to survive as a vampire. He hoisted him and lifted him onto one shoulder. He walked towards Catherine. "Where does he live?"
Catherine looked up at him startled. He wasn't the cold-blooded killer of before that was clear. "I don't know, I just met him, we could ask the inn keeper, he might know." Dmitri grumbled something and Catherine gave him an annoyed look. "You didn't have to turn him. I'll ask, since you seem so unwanting to."
They both walked in and Catherine asked the innkeeper, that brought them up to the room and Dmitri laid him down on the bed. He watched the man and settled down on a chair. Catherine looked at him. "Good luck." She then walked out of the room. He was on his own.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 04:39 AM (GMT)
Most of the night had passed for William by the time he had parted ways with Kieran, met Catherine and fought Dmitri.
For the remainder of the night and most of the day his body underwent the metamorphosis from mortal to vampire.
The external wounds from the fight healed as the body began to revitalize itself on the cellular level. This revitalization however did not alter the mature nature of his appearance or heal old scars.
Throughout the process William experienced nightmares, dreams and fantasies as his mind replayed several memories throughout his life, some long forgotten and repressed.
As the sun set on the next day, William Robert Hazelton was reborn. Still unaware of this change or Dmitri’s presence, he placed his hands on his temples and rubbed his temples. “Man, that is the last time I try to drink the whole bar.”
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 04:44 AM (GMT)
Dmitri opened one eye at the man that had finally awoken, though sometimes metamorphosis could be long. "You're awake I was wondering how long it would take you to wake up." Dmitri lifted and stretched. He also made a mental note not to ever sleep on a chair again. It hadn't been the most comfortable night.
He looked at the dead body on the floor that he had brought back barely a half four earlier. It was still warm. "I brought you a snack. You can either feed or die. It won't make a difference in my book, I'll tell you right now." Dmitri was directly to the point and quite blunt about it. He was a warrior not a poet.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 04:56 AM (GMT)
William shot up in his bed and found himself standing on his feet at the sound of Dmitri’s voice.
Looking first at Dmitri and then the body on the floor and back at Dmitri, “What the hell are you doing in my room you sick son of bitch? Get the fuck out of here.” The words the vampire in the chair had spoken were lost on his emotional reaction to the stranger in his room. No, wait, this man was not a stranger.
Realization and remembrance struck him all at once. “That fight wasn’t a dream, the girl in the green sweater, the Scottish boy at the mall, and you waiting for me.”
He slowly sat down on the bed and looked at the corpse on the ground. “I’m one of you aren’t I?”
William ran his tongue along his teeth feeling the fangs and teeth that lined his jaw as he listened to his sire speak next. A most disturbing thought crossed William’s mind. He wanted to feed on the man on the floor.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 05:02 AM (GMT)
Dmitri waited for the information to be filed away. "Yes, you are one of us. You are vampire. I did warn you and I don't care if you were drunk or not, though by the alcohol content in your blood, you most definitely were drunk."
He saw him pass his tongue over his fangs. "Watch it they're sharp." He said it matter factly almost like he was talking about a knife. "So are you going to feed on him or will I have to go out a kill another innocent person, perhaps I'll kill a girl this time, perhaps they strike your fancy a little more." He had better things to do then teach a fledgling but Chi would strike out at him if he didn't accept his responsibilities. Unfortunately William was one of them now.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 05:16 AM (GMT)
William stood up and walked into the bathroom, turned on the cold water and dowsed his face into the sink. Lifting his head and drying it with a hand towel he looked into the mirror to discover that he was not there. He began to laugh out loud, very loud. “Well shit fella,” he said throwing the towel down onto the sink edge and walking back out into the bedroom, “I don’t reckon that I need you to do anything for me. I mean that is like cutting and pre-chewing my steak. I may be a vampire now, but I am still a man.”
‘What is going on with me?’ he thought. Just hours ago the concept was repugnant and now he couldn’t wait to hunt and feed under his own power. He was sure of one thing though, he was going to kill the smug son of bitch in the chair when ever he had the chance.
“I’m taking a shower, then we’ll go out." The door slammed behind him.
He examined his body while in the water. It seemed newer somehow and definitely stronger. He bit down on his hand opening a wound out of curiosity to exactly how sharp his teeth were and was delighted to see how fast he healed, but found himself lusting for blood. Lust was the right word and he accepted it as a fact. Blood equaled life.
The water turned off and he walked back into the room where he had left Dmitri.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 05:24 AM (GMT)
Dmitri could feel his anger. It was an emotion he preyed on as well as fear. The man would try to kill him, but unlike his sire he didn't require sleep at sunup, he also slept as light as a feather, the first sound that registered as odd to his brain would make him wake up. He would like to see this man try, though maybe that would be tempting fate.
While he was in the shower, Dmitri got rid of the body that lay dead in the room. He placed the body in the park and then left. He had no interest in a dead body, it was more interesting alive. He remembered the thrill. He went back to the room and erased any mark the body had made. The body had never been here.
He returned to his chair and closed his eyes. He opened one to look at William once he stepped out of the bathroom. "REady to go? The first time might be messy."
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 05:32 AM (GMT)
William’s muscles tensed in anticipation. He was feeling good and the more he accepted this fate the better it felt. He was sure there were rules and politics to be dealt with in this life like the last based on the exchange between Catherine and Dmitri during the fight, but that is nothing he didn’t have to deal with in the mortal life.
He was immortal, powerful and rich, but that meant nothing if he died of hunger. Pulling on his jeans he dropped the towel and put on a red flannel shirt without sleeves and a beat up cowboy hat. Sitting down at the desk chair he pulled on his boots and looked back up into Dmitri’s face and with a smile said, “Messy is fine.”
As he stood up and opened the door to the hallway he said, “What do I call you? I’m Billy Bob,” he said hoping the whole redneck package persona was an irritant to this new intrusion in his life.
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 05:43 AM (GMT)
Well at least someone was anticipating this whole hunt thing, At the present moment, Dmitri's mind had wandered to Angelia, what would she think of a fledgling? Hopefully she would take it well. Besides he hadn't quite thought it through.
"A few rules before we go. If you are going to kill your prey kill only one. The Amman our police can be a bitch and frankly I don't want to take on vampires twice my age." Dmitri paused. "Also you don't want to cross an Ishak's path. They are as much of a problem as the Tarepha, but I can protect you from them."
"The name's Dmitri and I come from what used to be the Kievan Rus. It is now Russia. Pleasure to meet you Billy Bob." The tone of his voice was carefully blank so his emotions were carefully hidden. He strode out the open door. "Let's go."
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 05:48 AM (GMT)
As he walked with Dmitri out of the tavern he started putting together the things he had heard.
‘Terepha, Ishak, Nephim, Amman…What next beware of the Bloods and Crypts moving in from LA. Sheesh.’
Once outside of the building he looked towards the lot where he had left his truck and wondered if he would ever work again. He didn’t need to but he did enjoy the driving.
“So what’s next boss.”
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 05:53 AM (GMT)
Dmitri glanced towards the other. Well he had remembered that much. "You forgot the Enashe and the independant. The enashe are cowards and vampires that wish they were still humans. Independant well I guess you can figure that one out."
"Never ever get on the Amman's nerves they will squash you like a bug, regardless of your age." He lifted an eyebrow. "Next, it's hunting. We find a place to find prey and you get to choose your first prey and I get to see how well you handle yourself." He let a dangerous grin cross his face.
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 06:02 AM (GMT)
“Well there is no reason to really change all my behavior just because I’m different now is there. Come on, it’s Saturday night and I’m in town after many days on the road so there is only one place to go.”
He started walking down the street towards the older part of town. William thought the new body felt great in the context that he was feeling weak from hunger. After about thirty minutes they turned the corner on what was obviously the part of town the prostitutes worked.
Turning his head to Dmitri, “I like the red head, what do you think?”
Pandora Lorrain - December 10, 2006 01:18 PM (GMT)
Dmitri followed him and knew exactly where they were going. He didn't spend a lot of time in the older part of town, he simply didn't like it. It made him think of how old he was, which was a shit of lot older than this town.
As they stopped and looked around, Dmitri cracked his neck which was sound that echoed in the small street. Dmitri's head looked at the red head. "If you like her, go ahead, you need to feed I simply don't care how you do it."
Neutral_George - December 10, 2006 03:50 PM (GMT)
William smiled and approached the red head that was working two corners down. He was amazed at the level of detail that he had in his vision now. Sighting her as though she was up close had been subconscious on his part but now he realized that his eyes were no longer failing due age.
His strategy was simple. William would proposition and pay her like he would if she were mortal, go to wherever she conducts business, take care of business and then feed on her with the intention of taking enough to live on, but not kill her.
Within ten minutes William was in a by the hour hotel room with Cinnamon, as she called herself. As this was business they got right to it. All the sensations involved in sex, the smells, textures, and adrenaline were heightened for him. They built one on top of the other to the point that when William climaxed he unwittingly unleashed the monster within, the vampire.
During Vietnam, William’s platoon had been ‘treated’ in preparation of hunting down those who had slaughtered the village. Their systems were suppose to adapt to the environmental factors that could affect their health, and for a few years it did, until it mutated as so many of the military treatments did back then making it so that they were no longer generally protected but rather at risk of inheriting these factors. He had also been exposed to several other things that had impacted his system throughout that war, leaving him not sick but susceptible to polymorphic nature of blood and DNA, which is one of the reasons he eventually became a truck driver, a profession that minimized his exposure to other people and the illnesses, diseases and other biologics that they carried. William’s crossover to vampirism took longer than expected because his body was attempting to figure out how to translate this new vampire condition into his DNA. The effect was again mutable DNA, but as he will soon figure out the concerns he had as a mortal are no more, but will the effective result will be the absorption and integration the of DNA code of other vampires should he feed upon them As such Dmitri’s powers are William’s.
With a fury of sound, William’s body began to tense and pop like Dmitri’s. His jaw elongating exposing the radical rows of teeth of his sire only moments before Cinnamon’s scream was silenced by the horrific sight of William’s feeding. Sinking his fangs deep into her throat he ripped open her carotid artery sending a powerful flow of blood deep into William’s throat. His body desperately needing this vital fluid began to absorb and process it providing him with an overwhelming sense of pleasure, power, and no longer to his surprise blood lust.
As fast as the feeding started it was nearing its end and he wanted more.

Dmitri lounged against a building his entire body relaxed as he watched the byplay betwen his fledgling and the mortal woman. He heard every word and snorted. The oldest and easiest way to get a drink of blood. Sleep with a woman and drink her dry. Even he had done it, in his vampiric youth.
He sighed as they walked away and wondered what he should do while William was busy. He looked at the other woman and wondered if he needed to feed and decided that he neither needed food nor needed sex. He got love from Angelia and that was more than enough. A soft smile played across his lips as he thought of her.
He decided to take a walk and wait for William outside the hotel, at least from here he would be able to watch out for the fledgling. As soon as he was close, blood assaulted his sensitive nose and curiosity got the better of him. He vanished into an alley and hoped that the bloodied room had a window. He put both hands on the wall and scailed to wall until he reached the window of the room. He peeked inside and saw William feeding, well apparently some things did transfer from sire to fledgling.
He hit to window pane hard and the window unlocked itself, allowing Dmitri to step in. He watched calmly. "Now what are we supposed to do with a bloody room? That didn't cross your mind did it?" He was slightly annoyed. "I hoped you paid this room cash and gave the person downstairs a fake name."
