Title: Talking's the Big Thing
Description: Pandora?

Laughter, low and throaty, drifted from the darkened alley. Well, not exactly an alley (as the area around the Squisito was of the fairly good sort) but a dark side street. Out of view from the street proper, a man and a woman (or, more accurately, a boy and girl) were rather wrapped up in each other. Wrapped up in each other and wrapped up around each other. They had just come from a birthday party thrown at the Squisito and were feeling a bit festive. The celebratory mood that had little to do with the birthday itself and quite a lot to do with the beer keg that the newly eighteen year-old had ordered. And possibly a bit to do with the tequila shots.
Besides, should one take two attractive teenagers, throw them into a rowdy bash, mix in a little alcohol and you had instant… ahem, desirability.
The boy was tall, with a lean and rangy frame. The girl was a few inches shorter; with a lush and willowy body she had no compunctions about exploiting. Their ragged breaths mingled in streams of white vapor when they broke apart, Isaac’s long fingers wrestling with the buckle of her jeans. She laughed again, catching his wrists. Playfully nibbling along his earlobe, Rachel whispered, “Not so fast, alright?” Gently, but firmly pushing against his chest, she gave him one last, searing kiss before sauntering away. Turning back for a moment, her grin teasing, she laid a finger across her lips before aiming it at him like a gun. “Bang-bang.” And then she continued strolling, never glancing back again.
“Jesus,” Isaac blew out a cloud of steam before looking downwards, “down boy.” Dragging a hand through his naturally disordered hair, he buttoned what was left of his shirt and fastened his heavy black jacket over it. With one last, rueful sigh, he set off in the opposite direction.

Chi had watched them amused. There was rarely a time she wasn't amused by mortals, but this one was quite amusing. Some mortals had a high sex drive and when it came to hers it was probably a lot higher than most. She was a vampire stuck in the body of a 16 year old. If she hadn't been a priestess, she would have had a child perhaps two in her time. Now it was a completely different, she could also indulge.
She left her roof top sight and followed him cautiously. There was something about him that puzzled her. Something emanating from him. Perhaps a confrontation was in order, perhaps. She continued to watch him, smoothing out a non-existant wrinkle in her black jeans. She had foregoed the typical toga she usually weared, deciding to fit in. The black pants were complemented by a dark green tank top covered by a black mesh. She wore a dark burgundy leather coat to complete the outfit. The coat showed off her figure, it was meant for a woman. Her silver hair she left down, it looked better that way and it was long and flowy.
A meeting was in order. The best way to meet someone, was to bump into them. Pretending that she wasn't looking where she was going, she bumped into him. "I'm so sorry." She twirled a finger in her hair, showing anxiety she didn't feel. She was a master of her emotions, many things didn't faze her, not anymore anyways.

"Oh..." Isaac began, squinting at Chi with a slight bleariness to his gaze. "Yeah, no problem. Was I in your way?" He asked politely and with great effort, his words coming out slowly and with the preciseness of the partly drunk. Raking his fingers through his hair, further spiking the stiff peaks. There was no plan behind the casual movement, though one had to admit that the disordered stylessness had a certain appeal.
Offering a disarming smile, Isaac tucked his hands in his pockets. Gloveless, his slender digits had become quite cold. He had started out the night looking well-presented. Isaac wore a pair of dark brown Rockports, comfortably faded black jeans, and a neatly pressed dress shirt in a deep wine tone. Over that he wore a black wool coat that came down to mid-thigh. His hair had been artfully styled. Now his shirt was missing a few buttons and his jeans had a cigarette burn in them. His overcoat, which had been in the coat-check, was about the only spotless article of clothing he wore. His hair was messy, standing up in some places and flattened down in others.
To any who knew the oddly controlled teen, his somewhat disheveled state would have been quite strange. Isaac rarely drank, even though the crowd he attached himself to were well-known for their consumption of alcohol. When he did drink, however, he never became fully drunk. At the moment, though a little impaired, he still had his wits about him.

Chi shook her head, her hair flying in all directions. "No, it was me. I wasn't watching where I was going. I'm really sorry." She played the part to perfection. A 16 year old confronting someone older, that could be dangerous. She wasn't truly worried though.
She frowned looking at him and an amused smile crossed her face. He was drunk, typical. "ARe you drunk?" The voice when she asked was as amused as her face showed off to be. It was truly amusing, well for her anyway. She never got drunk, some vampires claimed they did, but she doubted it greatly. Mortals were fascinating when they drank a little too much.
Chi's eyes watched his every move. There was an appeal to him, in a way. Though she prefered the rugged styleness of the warrior. She liked to feel delicate and they made her feel that way. She loved it. Even though drunk, he seemed still highly aware of everything, well she'd have to see how aware he was. She smiled at the thought.

It took a moment for Isaac to respond, his inebriated mind fascinated by Chi's flying silver hair. Then he blinked and his eyes cleared, focusing a little more clearly on the face beneath the hair. "Ah, no. Well, sort of. Halfway, really, to be accurate." He replied, scratching the side of his head in very much the fashion of one telling part-truths.
Then he blew out a breath, absently trying to tamp down an unruly white spike of hair. "Yes, I'm drunk. Not drunk enough to pass out, but I think I'm going to call someone for my car. I don't drive if I've been drinking." Isaac paused again, a slight tension appearing and disappearing between his eyes. He had to be careful or he would start rambling. Well, rambling more than he already was.
"Anyway." He took a step forward, offering a hand. "Where are my manners? I'm Isaac and a little over half drunk."

Chi hid the smile as he stared fascinated by her hair. Silver hair wasn't a natural occurence for someone as young looking as her, even by today's standards, though her hair was totally natural. She smiled. "Alright then, we are both at fault, seems fair."
Chi lifted an eyebrow, she didn't drive. She had no need to. She could fly or shadow-travel faster then any car that existed. Cars to he were useless, though mortals seemed to truely enjoy them. Some vampires even loved them, they loved the thrill, she made her own thrill, though not much thrilled her anymore. Not the way it used to anyways.
Chi giggled. Hell if she had to be a 16 year old, might as well play the part completely. "I'm Chi and yes you are more than half drunk." She put her hand out and shook his hand.

OOC: I'm so terrible at conversation posts. I just run out of things to say. Just saying so you know what's happening when I start getting rambly and weird.
Holding onto her hand perhaps a heartbeat longer than was strictly normal, Isaac shook it once before letting go and shoving his back into its pocket. "Chi, huh? That's an interesting name." He replied, rolling the name around his tongue, almost like one would do when tasting fine wine. "Not interesting in a bad way, just not one you hear much." Isaac hesitated for a moment, using the time to gather his thoughts.
He smiled again. Isaac had an odd smile, because if one should look closely, they would notice his eyes rarely changed. They would crinkle at the edges, appearing nearly genuine, but remained slightly... detached. As if he were an actor reciting lines, but not feeling them. But the appearance was slight, almost imperceptible.
Stomping his feet against the pavement to get the blood circulating, Isaac glanced up as a few drifting snowflakes brushed against his exposed skin. Grinning at them (just like any slightly drunk, underage teenager would) he held his palm out experimentally to try and catch one. "Think there'll be a blizzard?"

Chi blinked at him while he held her hand too long. She had these eyes, that looked like those of a hunter. She would look at you, intensely and suddenly pounce when you least expected it, that was what she was like, a hunter to the bone. "It's a short form of my full first name, it's the only one I use."
She noticed that the smile didn't reach his eyes and wondered what made him that way, what made him so detached from the world, from himself. It couldn't be healthy, only when you are completely comfortable with yourself, are you able to relax and be yourself, your true self.
She shrugged. "Blizzard?" She shrugged again. "Don't know and really don't care. I like the snow, but I like the spontaneity of not knowing, when it'll snow. I don't watch the weather channel." A few snowflakes, fell on her hair, sparkling in the streetlight. She did like the snow, but she adored the surprise, though sometimes she wondered if she could be surprised anymore. She hoped she could be, that's when the thrill appeared.

"That's a pretty deep outlook on snow there, Miz Chi." Isaac announced after a momentary pause. "Blizzards are fun for a couple of days. Snowball fights, hiding out in trees at the park and winging a few at the back of people's heads and watching 'em twist around and look for you... Chestnuts roasting over an open fire, yadda yadda." Looking almost boyishly mischevious, Isaac flashed Chi his signature grin, disarming and harmless. Tonight it had a slightly drunk sloppiness to it, but just a little.
"Say, what time is it?" He asked suddenly, checking his right wrist twice before realizing his watch was on his left. "Thirteen, wait, that can't be right. Ten? Ten and a quarter past. Early yet. Wanna get a cuppa coffee with me? There are some of those all night diners around here, somewhere, and I think coffee would do me good. But coffee's no fun when you're alone, right?"
Pandora Lorrain - November 29, 2006 10:45 PM (GMT)
Chi eyes lit up at the mention of games and snowball fights. "I've never been in a snowball fight, though it must be fun." There didn't have snow where she had been born and now wished that there had been. She was stil a child at heart, even though she had lived for 6000 years. She returned his smile, making hers as desarming as his.
"A cup of coffee?" She didn't drink coffee and she wasn't going to, unless she wanted to throw up all the blood she had fed on. Which is not something she wanted to do, because she knew that it wasn't pleasant. She was willing to go along for the ride though. "Sure, I'd love to. I could use the warmth of a diner right about now." She shivered, pretending to be cold, even though she didn't feel the cold.
