Title: Balcony Seating...
Description: ~open~
Angeliques - January 6, 2004 03:06 AM (GMT)
Angeliques had been coming to the Ave Verum Concert hall for quite some time. She was a regular, slipping in just after the curtains rose to avoid any unwanted stares. Taking her normal empty balcony seat, she sat down in the large velvet plush chair. Even though she was seated alone, she still sat properly, as she was taught so long ago, listening contently as the music was played.
Sighing heavily, she realized she was quite sad. It had been so many years and even as she sat among the mortals she felt distant from them. Watching them as they watched and listened to the musicians played eloquently. Some were so atuned to the music, taking it all in, others, that had been dragged to the hall were nodding off already, even after only about thirty minutes.
She smiled to herself, satisfied that she was indeed alone, sitting high up in her balcony seats. She could not imagine sitting down on the floor. What a horrible view they must have. Directing her attentions back to the musicians as they played, she fell into a trance of some sorts, finding herself lost in their music.
Satine - January 6, 2004 03:21 AM (GMT)
Satine had been sitting regally in the balcony over, letting the music take over her, when she felt a being of much power and a great deal older herself enter. She looked over to the balcony in a desparate attempt to find it's source.
She was new to this city and the Enashe Coven, idlly she wondered if this being was someone she'd yet to meet that belonged to the same coven. Figuring on the fact that the presence felt much older than she, she was betting not.
Not being able to pinpoint where this person was, she returned her focus to the music.

The musicians had stopped, it was now time for a brief intermission. It was when the lights lit dimly that she noticed Satine across the hall, sitting in her own balcony. She had caught her eye, but Angeliques was not sure why, something about her seemed to be different from all of the mortals that sat around her. Peering down, she watched as the audience clapped, showing their admiration for the music that was just played. Some where just waking up, clapping also as if not to draw any attention to themselves, but from where Angeliques was seated, they did so unsuccessfully.
She smiled. You will never truely understand the lives you have, until you are old and dying, or just simply dying. She tsked them, shaking her head as she still did not relax in her cushioned seat. Clasping her hands in front of her, she had caught sight of Satine once again, who had been watching her, she felt it. Lowering her eyes, Angeliques did not even think twice about leaving her balcony to go to speak with the woman, she would be caught in a heartbeat, not liking the attention that mortals gave to her.
Satine - January 7, 2004 02:14 AM (GMT)
Satine clapped politely as the music ended. Having just eaten before she came tonight, her skin had that humanly rosy glow to it, and so she felt she could mingle among the people. She walked out from her seat and down to the hall, abustle with people, she moved among them unnoticed. If anyone could tell what she was, then she deserved to be caught, at least that was her thoughts behind it. For over two hundred years, she had walked among them undetected, and she planned to do it for at least two hundred more, though without Adrian... No she wouldn't think of that.
Her feet had brought her to the top of the stairs of the other balconies without her even realizing it. The power and age she had felt while listening to the concert, was seeping down the stairs. Deciding that her naturally curiousity was going to get the best of her anyway, she followed the feeling. It lead her to a balcony seating that she presumed was directly across from hers. The one she'd been looking at.
"Bonjour Madam?" she called in through the curtains, nothing wanting to be rude by just bursting in.
Angeliques - January 7, 2004 03:10 AM (GMT)
Her eyes had followed Satine out of her balcony seating as she was lost among the mortals. Sighing heavily, she looked down at her hands, they had been trembling lately, an uncontrollable shaking that she could not lose. The voice had come from behind her. Waving her hand she motioned for them to leave, she was not in the mood to entertain others, nor was she in the mood to be caught. Angeliques remained facing the rest of the Hall, her face still unseen.
"I do not need anything, I am fine. Thank you for your kindness." She had passed the visitor off as one of the servers that would come by to offer refreshments. She had no idea that it was Satine another of her kind behind her. Still sitting straight backed in the chair, she looked down again at the stage where the musicians had left just before intermission, for some reason she was impatient tonight, like her life would pass her by if things did not hurry along.
Satine - January 7, 2004 04:21 AM (GMT)
Never to be one to walk away easily, Satine persisted.
"Faire parlez vous la Langue de la Nuit, Madame?" she asked softly. Not always being a smart girl, Satine realized that perhaps this, being, did not understand French anywhere passed 'Hello,' and before the one behind the curtain could answer, Satine spoke in a thick accent, "Do you speak 'ze Language of 'ze Night, Madam?"
Angeliques - January 7, 2004 07:00 PM (GMT)
Angeliques smiled, she loved the persistance of some and at this particular moment, she was in a kind hearted mood. It was a beautiful language, one that she had once known but long forgotten. Angeliques did not turn her head, she did not wish for whomever it was behind her to see her pale face, to many questions would arise and she did not want to leave the Hall during the intermission. She rather enjoyed the music that was played here, something that reminded her of her mortal life so long ago for some reason.
"I do not speak it I am afraid, I did once before, but that was so long ago." Her head had bowed slightly, turning it only enough to peek back to see if they had entered her balcony seating. Something about the woman had drawn her senses. Looking back across the way, she realized that the woman who had been watching her had not returned, putting the pieces together Angeliques figure it would be her. The musicians had taken their places, it was about time that they would behind once more.
Looking to the seat next to her as the lights dimmed once more, she spoke softly but loud enough so her voice would carry through to the woman on the other side of the curtain. "Please, come and sit, you will miss the next piece. She had not known why, but she had felt she could trust this woman, as she felt as if she was the same as herself. It would also be dim enough so that the woman would not see her pale complexion, allowing her to go unnotice for a short time until she would have to take her leave near the finale. Time will tell. Sitting up once more the music began again softly.
