Title: Hidden Truths, Hidden Lies...
Description: (An older Vampire please ^,^)

Vixey - March 5, 2006 02:26 PM (GMT)
((Mkay! I would just like older vamps here ^.^ To help straighten things out for Jax. Male, female... Preferably no 'ancients', can be more than one of course ^.^))

Just over a month now... That's how long Jaxon had been living as a vampire. Well if living was what you could call it. No sunlight, no food... It was a veritable hell in her mind. She wasn't a glutton by any means, but she had realized recently that she had been taking the taste of food for granted... And now the only way she would taste it again was if she were to make herself sick. She could drink water... But that had no taste...

She had even ever more recently taken to smoking. After all it wasn't going to affect her in any way. No coughing, no shortness of breath, no cancer, what did she care? And she was grateful that she could still drink as well. That at least was some comfort... So she was becomming an alcoholic... Well she didn't depend on it or anything... She was just drinking a bit more than usual.

She was walking along a small urban park, one where she had made several arrests before, smoking a ciggarette. She could at least taste that... The harsh biting taste. She had told Henri she was working... It had been a lie of course, and they both knew it... But he also knew that she was troubled and since she would not talk to him... Well, best to give her space right?

There were so many questions running through her head, and she wanted answers for each of them... But she didn't even know how to sort them out to ask anyone... Maybe one of those mind reading vampires could help her sort through them... No. Then they could see things that she didn't want them too. And that wouldn't be too good...

As the hair on the back of her neck stood up she looked around. She was getting better at detecting a vampire in the same area... and there was one now...

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 7, 2006 10:19 PM (GMT)
It was a Norwegain vampire, by the name of Vincent, who was approaching her.
"Hello." He said, quite casualy.

He could smell the alcohol on her, and the smoke, a habbit he himself shared, though he had a pipe. This was a young vampire, a couple of months, no more... What was her cage like? He wondered...

Vixey - March 7, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
He had appered out of no where it seemed to Jaxon... But then again she hadn't been paying attention to where the vampire was, just that there was one.

She stayed silent for a while as she observed this new vampire... He was old... But he coudln't be as old as some of the ones Henri had told her of. Three thousand years... No... This one... Closer to Henri's age... She could just... sence it.

He was... maybe a little older than her physicaly though... His hair a shimering silver. His eyes as blue as hers... Well at least her left eye anyway. His skin was a pearl color, like she had never seen before and it made her almost stare in wonder. He was impecibly dressed...

"Hello." She said with a small nod of her head. What else could she say to this vampire, she could only look in wonder at him. He was handsom in an old world sense...

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 7, 2006 11:30 PM (GMT)
Vincent knew he had made an impresion on this juvinile vampire.
"I am called Vincent Sepespian. By what name should I call you?"

Vixey - March 8, 2006 03:55 AM (GMT)
Her head snapped up slightly to look him in the eyes. She took a puff of the cigarette that she was smoking and said in her southern draw. "Jaxon. Jaxon Synclair. Or Captain if you prefer." She said with a slight smile. Of course he had made an impression on her. That was easy enough to see. BUt of course Jax would pass it of as nothing. "And then some call me Jax." She added as an afterthough.

"So... I take it you're a bit older than I am?" She said with a bit of a sardonic grin. "Well a bit... might be an understatment..."

Well, what else could she say to the vampire... He seemed a quiet one...

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 8, 2006 04:30 PM (GMT)
"Indeed, I am 969 years old. At a guess you are but a few months... Captain? Why Captain?"

Vincent studied the young one, she had fire, but it was deadned by fear, and resentment. That was to be expected, however. He had been resentfull for a while, only a cantuary or two though...

MidnightSun - March 8, 2006 10:18 PM (GMT)
Not far off in the distance, another immortal watched them, seated quietly on a bench. His emerald eyes were very still, as was the rest of him. He looked like a statue of an angel.

His skin was like porcelain, smooth and flawless, lips full, cheeks and brows high with a mark of arrogance on them. His shoulder-length red hair was parted to one side and fell neatly from side to side, accented by the trim line of red hair that led from his jaw to his chin.

He had the look of one who cared very much for his appearance. He wore a dark gray sweater, pocketwatch hidden safely in his chest pocket, a gold chain attaching it to his pocket. Over this and his black slacks and shoes, he wore a long, thin overcoat. As winter slowly changed into spring, he abandoned his heavy wool coat and wore this one instead.

He peered pointedly at the two, taking in every morsel of their conversation, his ears perked for even the softest of words.

Vixey - March 8, 2006 10:27 PM (GMT)
"That's my position. Captian with the Demaitre police force." She said with a slight grin. "But I guess you wouldn't give a shit about that now." She said with a shrug as she tossed the cigarette down, extinguishing the embers with her shoe. "But yeah, I'm still young. Which is why I can still do the job I did before I was turned." She said, just incase he was curious.

But he wasn't the only one who was listening...

Her sensitive nose caught a scent on the wind, eyes on her back... There was another one. Another immortal... But if this Vincent guy didn't know, she wasn't going to give the other away. It was only polite was it not?

"So. You seem a little chatter bug..." She said sarcasticly as she tunred her head up to the sky. "Were you seaking me out or something?" She asked. For the most parts when she saw other vampires... they just watched her for a few moments, and went on with their immortal and never ending lives.

MidnightSun - March 8, 2006 10:32 PM (GMT)
Corrigan smiled softly to himself. Smart ass. Actually, if this other Vincent was not seeking her out, then it was indeed he, Corrigan, that was. She knew his precious Cole. That was quite significant to him. Perhaps she knew something he didn't?

Sure, he could simply slip into her thoughts, but where is the fun in that? Besides, she was a rather modern fledgling. And who knew these women today? Maybe if he was kind to her, he could get a decent lay along with the information he wanted.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 8, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
Vincent's nose twitched.
"You, who is hidden in the shadows. Reveal yourself. If you are here to observe, then do it openly, if you are here with questions, then ask them."

He had felt the tendrils of the other Vampire in his mind, and he did not like it.

"I speak when it is required of me, I won't speak if it is pointless."

MidnightSun - March 9, 2006 12:46 AM (GMT)
Corrigan did as he was told, not because it was demanded of him, but because he wanted to make a point on introducing himself to the young fledgling.

He stood from the bench and walked toward the two of them, wincing softly as he walked into the light, the bright light of the street lamp blurring his vision. "Hello," he spoke at last, his Irish accent very rich.

"You call of me?" he asked, his voice directed to Vincent, but his eyes on Jax.

Vixey - March 9, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
"Oh leave him be Vincent." She said with a shake of her head. But of course... Men... Always felt a challenge.

As this new one presented himself... His voice... It made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. She had to turn away. She could not look at him. Instead she bussied herself with another cigarette.

Jax shook her head. "Not I. That would be the other Alpha Male here." She gave a grin as she lit the cigarette.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 9, 2006 04:52 PM (GMT)
Vincent, still annoyed about the underhand methods of this new vampire almost flinched at Jax's words.

He turned to face the newcomer, and fixed him with a brilliant blue stare.
He could not have probed his mind, even if he had desired to, but his adversary might not know this...

"Who are you?" He asked, rather frostily, "And was there a reason for your evesdroppong?"

Vixey - March 9, 2006 05:09 PM (GMT)
Jaxon turned around to watch the two curiously. Indeed Vincent was like an Alpha Male... And the wanderer seemed to unsettle him, just as he did Jax.

"Well. If I were to give my own personal and ever so humble opinion Vincent, sheer curiosity would be his reason." She said as she walked towards the first vampire of the night. The newcommer made her wary, and she felt that if need be Vincent would be able to protect her. He might not have been the most talkitive, but he seemed to get down to business when nessicary.

The red haired vampire with glittering green eyes... He was not dangerous that she could sense... But he was unpredictable. And it was just that unpredictability that she did not care for.

She stood stolidly beside Vincent, behind slightly, watching this new man closely, wishing that Henri were here. He would know what to do...

MidnightSun - March 10, 2006 03:51 AM (GMT)
Corrigan sneered slightly at this other immortal who had been so blatantly rude to him, "I do not give my name to those who would so shamelessly abuse it."

He could easily foresee this one using his name to send him away, and he did not like it. "It is odd to see one as old as you with one so young, especially one who is not your own." He turned his eyes back to Jax and smirked.

"How do you do?" I am Corrigan.

Vixey - March 10, 2006 04:21 AM (GMT)
She glared at him as he spoke. Or at least the begining. But as he spoke of Jaxon not being the sire of the other vampire, she freaked. Was he another one who could read minds? Putting up her weak mental block she moved behind Vincent without a word or a single look. But she was clutching his jacket slightly, as if for some reasurance.

Shut up. Shut up. Shut up... She chanted again and again in her mind, her little diversion to ones like him. It was pathetic for everything she had, but she was just a fledgling still.

"His name is Corrigan..." She muttered to Vincent. "And I don't like him already..." Though she could not give a straight answer as to why.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 10, 2006 04:56 PM (GMT)
Vincent heard Jax's whisper and nodded, he didn't much like the new comer either.
"And it is odd to see one of your attitude socailising. Now answer my question, Corrigan, what is your purpose here?"

MidnightSun - March 11, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
"The purpose of us all, really. To be. I haven't really had a purpose in centuries." He crossed his arms over his chest, a bemused expression on his face. "What is you purpose here?"

He turned his eyes to Jaxon and smiled softly, "And yours, my dear?" His voice was gentle, the tenacity in his voice deminished, for he had no reason to be hostile to her.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 11, 2006 08:22 PM (GMT)
Vincent's blood rose. He had always ran along the lines of everyone deserved politeness, unless they have shown themselves not to deserve it.

"My buisness is my own. And is you have no purpose here, then I suggest you leave, with all speed, Corrigan. Lest I feel it necessary to force you to leave."

Vixey - March 12, 2006 04:47 AM (GMT)
As she watched from behind Vincent the noew commer didn't budge... Her eyes flitted softly however as he began to speak as if his words carried some magic to her mind through his voice...

Soft and gentle he was with her... Not at all harsh as he was with Vincent... She looked at him again... His eyes... Like emeralds... But deeper...

Her pulse quickened on its own for she did not yet know how to control it... It had never needed to be controled before... But she could hear it cleanly, each beat... She currled her fingers stronger into the back of Vincent's coat. But somewhere her voice came. "No... Vincent... It's okay." She said without a thought. "Let's see what he has to say..."

His smile was warm... Inviting. But that only terrified her more.

MidnightSun - March 12, 2006 04:55 AM (GMT)
Corrigan chuckled, glancing to Vincent for a moment. He did not frighten him. There was scarcely anything in the world that scared Corrigan anymore.

He looked back at Jaxon and smiled, shrugging. "I have nothing to share really. Nothing worth hearing. I was simply wandering alone and saw another of us, walking by herself. That's all."

If only life were that simple. Especially his life.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 12, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
"Very well, Enticer, I am not a violent person, but I will if you do not remove your tendrils from the mind of this woman, I will have no choice."

MidnightSun - March 13, 2006 01:54 AM (GMT)
"And would you know that I have invaded the privacy of her mind if you had not done so yourself? I should tell you the same, should I not? To each his own."

He glared, crossing his arms over his chest. "Step down, my friend. You are no better than I and this struggle for dominance is useless." And it is growing tiring, he thought, looking to Jaxon. When has the pressence of two squabbling males been any fun?

Vixey - March 13, 2006 05:56 AM (GMT)
Oh... stupid men! No wonder why she had never actually wanted to get involved... Well besides because of Drake... They were just a whole lot of trouble!

Vincent thinking she needed protecting... Well she was hiding behind him slightly... More so she would not have to look at Corrigan. He unsettled her greatly, and worst, she could not say why."I beg to differ Corrigan. Unlike you Vincent has not tried to simply dig into my mind as you have taken the liberty of so doing." She defended Vincent quickly. "He knows you did it cause I said so you idiot." She muttered, though she knew he would hear it.

"Well Vincent, you might not be a violent person, but I can be when needed and if you two don't stop bickering like children..." She fell silent realizing how foolish her threat sounded... Either one of them could kill her without hesitation. But the way she trailed off, it eas like she had let the threat hang. But most likely they would simply ignore her... Or laugh...

"So if you two are done trying to claim who saw me first perhaps we could have a nice conversation?" She asked. "After all, it's not like you can eat me or anything. So perhaps you should both step down or I will leave and I doubt either one of you would catch me." Her speed was one thing she was sure on, not even Henri could catch her now.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 13, 2006 12:28 PM (GMT)
"Very well, as you say , Jaxon, this stand off is getting tiresome." Vincent turned to Coiggan, "Just keep your thoughts out of otherpeople's heads."

He still didn't trust this one, and any inch given, he assumed would be pounced upon...
This one was a predator.

MidnightSun - March 16, 2006 11:40 PM (GMT)
Corrigan grinned at Jaxon, content to have said the last word. However, when Vincent spoke up again, his grin transformed into a smirk. "I believe the young lady asked to drop the subject. Why is it you insist to carry on?" Are you threatened by me, dear Vincent?

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 17, 2006 12:29 AM (GMT)
Vincent hissed.
"I warn you for the last time, you repugnant filth, remove your talons, or I will attack you."

He was angry now. Had this toe-rag no manners?

Vixey - March 17, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
As Vincent hissed Jaxon stepped out from behind him to get between the two. "Jesus Christ!" She swore, frustration in every sound. "You two are acting worse than children! Vincent. Please if there's going to be any threats here I'll make them." She said with a slight smile.

But then she turned to the other vapire with a scowl. But it faded for a moment as she looked at him. She could not speak, her face was softened by some emotion... But she regained her face shortly, crossing her arms over her chest. "And you, why the hell do you keep poking and proding where you don't belong? You keep it up and I'll just let him have you or something." She threatened, no, promised. After all, it would be up to Vincent what he would do. All Jax had to do was leave and then Vincent would have his free for all.

"What do you want Corrigan?"

MidnightSun - March 17, 2006 04:54 AM (GMT)
Corrigan had prepared himself to snap back at Vincent when Jaxon stepped forward. He hesitated and glanced from her to him for a moment. Forget him. He wasn't here for him.

He turned his eyes back to Jaxon and smiled softly, "The same as you, I'm afraid. Company." He raises his eyes once more to Vincent. "Though this wasn't quite what I had in mind."

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 17, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
Vincent, his eyes still narrowed, glared back at Corrigan.
"Do you define company as a weak mind for you to worm around in? Be carefull how you answer, friend, all that stands between you and my wrath is this woman, and my wrath extends to any impeachement on her honour as well."

This repast would have bored Vincent, he he not the promise that he could rip this... Barbarian's gullet from his neck if he continued in his prodding...
For once he hoped for an excuse to attack.

Vixey - March 17, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
Men... For the love of God couldn't they just cut it out ad behave like human beings?!

"Well I for one came here for peace and perhaps a bit of company." Her voice was sweet, sickingly so as well. She was fed up with this show boating, these threats and short tempers. "But since I can seem to find neither of them I am at a loss for what to do I fear."

Corrigan was two faced... And he wanted something from her, she could tell that just by the way he treated her, speaking softly to her, harshly to Vincent.

And Vincent was just a typical Alpha male type who didn't like a threat...

Not her idea of fun company. Perhaps amusing if she were in a better mood...

Taking a final drag of her cigarette she tossed it on the ground, crushing it with her boot. "So if you two gorillas don't mind I'm going to look for something interesting and much more enjoyable." She turned and began to walk slowly. Perhaps they would settle their differances and ask her to come back. If not, oh well, like she said, she would find something more enjoyable to do."

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 17, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
"Although I would enjoy nothing more than to pull out your insolent tongue, Corrigan, I would agree to some form of truce, for the sake of avoiding offending Jaxon."
He held out a hand to Corrigan, and added, "You stay out of my head, I will stay out of your hair. Yes?"

Then mentaly he added, "Next time, you vile specimen, I'll get you.", for he was certian Corrigan was reading his mind, and if he wasn't it meant he'd made the promise.

MidnightSun - March 17, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
As Jaxon walked away, Corrigan couldn't help but grin. God, this was fun. As Vincent offered him an obviously untruthful truce, Corrigan stared at his hand. "I don't think your offer of a truce in sincere."

The fact of the matter was, Corrigan could tell by looking at him that he was much older than he was, so he hadn't pried into his mind at all, fearing he would only be presented with a wall.

Still, despite not having picked up Vincent's mental note, he could also tell that he did not mean for a truce. For now, perhaps, while Jaxon was around, but nevertheless.

"Apparently your honor does come before hers," he remarked, sure that Jaxon was listening not far off, "considering you have clearly just insulted this young woman. You call her 'weak minded.' If you have your mind set so much on fighting me, then you can forget about it."

He turned his eyes to Jaxon and nodded, walking toward her, a serious expression covering his visage. "For the sake of a pleasant evening, I will leave." He took her hand and kissed it gently and turned his back from them, walking away, grinning as he went. Bait and hook.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 18, 2006 10:07 PM (GMT)
"If I insult her indirectly through discource, you insult her directly by worming within personal thoughts." Vincent said, spitting at the floor behind Corrigan, "let him go, Jaxon, one of his dissuasion is not worth bothering about."

Perhaps he was being juvinle, perhaps he was being obstinate, perhaps he was, but this snake had angered him, and acted in a way truly unfitting for an enlightened vampire.

Vixey - March 19, 2006 02:28 PM (GMT)
Jaxon's eyes lit up for a moment as Corrigan kissed her hand. It tingled... But her face became hard and stern as she snatched her hand away. "It's a wonder you two just don't do me a favor and finish each other off." She snapped. They had both insuted her, belittled her, and angered her. But what could she do to them? She could leave. And it seemed as if Corrigan were already doing that. And going the same direction too.

Damn...

She turned and began to stomp off the other way, passing by Vincent. Oh, I'm letting him go alright. I don't give a damn about either of you." Well if that wasn't a lie, she didn't know what was. They both held some sway over the fledgling... Vincent seemed wise... He could teach her much, she guessed.

But Corrigan as well... There was something about him that her body, not her mind, responded to.

Two different vampires, two different paths... And she woul dmake her own, not following either. But perhaps with a few crosses every now and again... "See you Vincent." Her voice was obviously irked.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 20, 2006 12:42 AM (GMT)
Nodding at Jaxon, he wouldn't stop her leaving, if she desired it.
"You heard the lady, " he said looking at Corrigan, and removing his jacket, "let us finish each other off."

MidnightSun - March 20, 2006 01:06 AM (GMT)
Corrigan, already having begun his departure, waved his hand in the air. "I have no desire to," he whispered, though he was a lengthy ways away. He didn't even look at Vincent as he dismissed this idea. He didn't look back at either of them. "Farewell."

I will see you again, Jaxon. And then he was gone.

Vixey - March 20, 2006 04:03 AM (GMT)
"Jesus H. Christ! Vincent! I was just joking!" She said with an exasperated sigh. "You honestly think I want you two to kill each other? Granted the two of you together are irritating as all hell, but that doesn't mean that I don't want to get to know either of you alone." She pointed out.

Her head turned as she caught Corrigan's words in her mind.

Yes... We will meet again I am sure... She thought softly, knowing he would hear. And perhaps I will have something to look forawrd too...

She looked back to Vincent. "Just let me know if you ever wanna chat or anything. Most of the times I have off Sunday and Tuesday nights... I think I might have some questions... Things that I wanna talk about..." She said with a smile.

Vincent Xavier Sepespian - March 20, 2006 09:25 AM (GMT)
Vincnet, humbled before Jaxons wrath bowed to her,
"I appologise for my behavior, I wished only to defend your mind and soul."
"And body." he added quietly, in a brotherly way.

He then turned and made to go.

Vixey - March 20, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)
She made her way back to him, moving slowly, sensualy. "Vincent... I know." She reached up to touch his face ever so gently. "But if I needed defending, I want to be able to do it on my own... How else will I ever learn?" She gave his cheek anothe caress as she smiled. "And there is no need to defend my body. No one has ever had it... And with a dark shadow as mine... No one ever will..." She said quietly. "For their sake."
