Title: Loner
Description: Open - (Want to torment an independent?)

Juan - January 25, 2006 11:54 PM (GMT)
The figure of a man stood in the shadows of the Sinister Puppet. His blood red eyes stared up at the strange dolls hanging all about. This, however, did not seem to bother him at all. Instead he proceeded to find an empty table alone in the corner.

His skin was pale and was a dead giveaway that he was either anemic or a vampire. With the reputation of the place, it was probably the latter. The man appeared to be around eighteen and wore a black sleeveless shirt and leather pants. Over these, he wore a long black jacket that flared out at the bottom. He reached up to run a hand through the portion of midnight black hair that completely covered the left half of his face. A small and thin silver cross earring hung from his right ear.

His name was Juan Marcos and he was looking for the vampire coven Tarepha. Juan had heard that this was the place to find them. Judging from the screams and other noises coming from upstairs, he was in the right place. He had little use for mortals, other than as food and so had thought of joining this coven. They seemed to be more up to his standards than the other soft-hearted covens he had come across.

He was not sure though… He had been an independent for so long now that he held a grudge with virtually every coven. They did not show much tolerance for independent vampires and it was difficult to survive on your own. The fate of an independent was to wander about, hunting in the scraps of area between the vast territories of the covens. It was not an easy life, but one that Juan had lead for so long.

Perhaps he should just start with something simple, like buying a drink.

At first glance you would not think Miss Hart was a member of the coven that owned the Sinister Puppet. She hardly passed for a vampire, being italian her skin was naturally tan, and outside of the club scene her clothing was so casual she seemed hardly like something supernatural. Tonight she wore a white corset, black silk pants shimmered in the dark as she walked to the bar, her long auburn hair fell against her back as she looked to the bartender with her dark eyes.

Lately it seemed she was here every night, trying to get an audience with the leader, Euthalia. Rin had pushed aside a rather large amount of fear to get this far, and so far it wasn't good enough. She sighed, blue eyes looking past the counter to the mirrored wall behind it. People were dancing to the bizarre music, crowded, hot, entranced. Same damn scene every night.

Juan was at the counter buying himself a drink when he saw the girl enter. She had a distinct vampiric scent, although she appeared closer to a mortal than any other vampire he had seen thus far. And considering he had been around for over five hundred years, that was saying a lot. He hoped she was a member of the coven he was searching for.

He decided to walk over and introduce himself, normally he was not this sociable, but tonight he would make an exception.

"Hello there," he said as he reached her, "I am Juan Marcos, a member of your particular... ethnic group. And I would be delighted if you would allow me to buy you a drink." He grinned a bit.

(Anyone else wanna join?)

Rin - February 3, 2006 05:54 PM (GMT)
Those eyes were the first to acknowledge his presence, before a smile followed in greeting. "Pleasure to meet you. My name is Rin Hart." A drink? Ah yes. "I would like that." She sat on the crimson velvet cushion of the bar stool, her gaze straying for a moment. A group of humans gathered around the entrace, chains hung off their belts, their hair was dyed a dull shade of black with their roots showing and their eyes held a sensation Rin had once reveled in, fear. Had they realized what really lurked in the shadows of the Sinister Puppet? These types came here often, some embracing the fact that someone wanted to take their vital fluids, some finding it frightful and nowhere near as exciting as it had seemed from a safe distance.

"Do you come here often Juan?" He was older than her, much older. On the outside one wouldn't think so but vampires could feel it, like some invisible force against the skin that somehow reached down inside and left in a spine tingling rush. Humans could feel it too, but nowhere near like that. Her gaze returned to him and a smile as innocent as the mortals who had just entered curved her lips. Practice makes perfect.

Juan - February 7, 2006 10:40 PM (GMT)
Juan could tell that this vampire was much younger the he. Perhaps she could help him modernize a bit as well as teach him about this coven. While he had done his best to adapt to the times, he was not as modern as he appeared to be. His way of thinking was still rather old fashioned.

"No, not often at all," he replied with a slight grin, "This is my first time coming here."

Darkasian - February 10, 2006 05:22 PM (GMT)
Danielle Seras was sitting at the bar enjoying a rum and coke. Her raven black hair was in an uncharacteristic pony tail, and she wore a black sleeveless dress. She looked at the two immortals talking to eachother. She might've looked like she was 17, but she was 101 years old. At first glance she didn't seem like a Tarepha, but she enjoyed tormenting mortals and immortals alike. She listened intently as she sipped her drink. She was tempted to read their minds, but she resisted. It wouldn't be too nice to know all their secrets before she met them.

Even without reading their minds she could tell the male was much older than her, but the female was younger than her. She'd gotten used to the depressing music in the Sinister Puppet. She even managed to convince Euthalia to allow her to play in the Sinister Puppet, but that wasn't for another week or so.

Danielle strode over to the two immortals and watched them. "This can be a nice place if you enjoy the music." She said walking in as the male said it was his first time. "I'm Danielle." She said grinning at the male revealing her fangs.

Rin nodded slightly, "I am a member of this coven ... I think it's somewhat mandatory that I come here." Otherwise she wouldn't have come at all. Her blue eyes glanced to Danielle and she let any talk of the coven die. Nothing like having another member know your thoughts about the coven, it was dangerous enough unsaid.
