Title: A Gaunt Man

Joseph Braska - November 4, 2005 02:27 AM (GMT)
Josepha Braska, a tall, rather gaunt man swaggered into the Sinister Puppet. He was clearly an Ishak vampire, but was accompanied by a group of Tarephas. They motioned to a sysetm of pipelines, and wandered off. Braska wandered about the club, in awe at the 'dolls' dangling about him. New as he was to vampirism, he still knew that many of the club's patrons weren't human.

He stumbled over to the bar, and had a seat. He needed a drink, bad. He had a small flask, usually containing a small emergency reserve of blood, but it was empty. He sat and contemplated his situation. I need rest soon. They said if I need rest, go to the pipelines... He shook his head, and wondered how to ask for blood. He knew he shouldn't just shout it out in front of a bunch of mortals, but he was getting a bit desperate, and didn't like the idea of stalking and killing at that moment.

Jonas Aremar - November 4, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
"Hey Deffin," Jonas, a boy to whom appeared to be about thirteen but was actually 669-years-old, said to the bartender, sitting down at the bar, "Do you have any Mary-Sue left?" Jonas' curly-brown hair swished as he grinned, taking the glass of virgin-blood-and-vodka that he was given.

There weren't many mortals at the Sinister Puppet, but asking for blood in front of the little group that was there wasn't especially smart either, so he called it by the nicknames that it had been given for this purpose.

Joseph Braska - November 4, 2005 10:27 PM (GMT)
Joseph immediatly smelled the blood in the drink. "Tender, what he's having." he said sternly. He knew something was odd about the boy, and why else was he was drinking blood? "Pardon me, I'm new to the coven. My name's Braska. Yours?" he said diplomatically. He wasn't quite sure how to act in such a place, but was willing to make some fast friends.

Braska turned his head to look at the boy. He gave a friendly smile, and sipped the drink as soon as it came out. Ahh, much better. I may be able to hold off on killing tonight, assuming this can replentish me. he thought to himself. He learned quickly the blood of the dead was no good for him, and he nearly died the first time he tried it.

Jonas Aremar - November 5, 2005 05:52 AM (GMT)
"Jonas," the boy said, playing with on of the safety-pins in his ear. "You're not one of them cowans, are you?" Jonas asked in a paranoid voice, probably due to one of his insane fits which he seemed to be having less-and-less of these days."

"I don't much like those cowans. Ruddy prats, the lot of 'em. You're not one of them, are you? You smell like a sucker, but everyone does these days. Demaitre is crawling with them. Hunters'll come soon. It'll be like the bloody French Revolution. You never met Napoleon, did you? Shrimpy bastard. 'Cept you're taller 'n 'im."

Joseph Braska - November 6, 2005 01:38 AM (GMT)
The boy speaks a lot. What are cowans? Some sort of family or clan? And hunters? he thought. It was a lot all at once. He for a second, and sipped his drink a bit more. "I'm afraid I don't know what a 'Cowan' is. I'm new to this. All of it. The drinking, the covens, all of it." he said, shaking his head.

Napolean? Like, Bonapart? he thought. How the hell would I know Napolean? "To be honest, I've only been, like this, for about eight years. But, I don't care about any of it. I just need a place to sleep, and where the nearest church is." Joseph continued. "Priest blood is my favorite."

Jonas Aremar - November 6, 2005 04:15 AM (GMT)
"I wouldn't know where any churches are. I'm new to the city, country and continent. I could help you out though. I haven;t had a charge in a few hundred years." Jonas told the fledge with a shrug. He doubted the boy would take him up on his offer; most fledges were too prideful to work for a vampire to whom wasn't their sire, even if it meant protection.

Joseph Braska - November 6, 2005 04:47 AM (GMT)
Joseph arched an eyebrow at the boy. He finished off his drink, and felt well enough to sleep through the day. "Well, perhaps at a later date I'll go, but I need rest now." he said, uncertainly. "In there?" he continued, motioning to the pipelines. "That's where the coven rests, no?" He stood up, and stretched. The suit-clad man looked back to teh boy. "But if you could fill me in on what's been going on with vampires, and fledges, and all this stuff you've mentioned, I'd be appreciative."

Jonas Aremar - November 7, 2005 04:31 AM (GMT)
"Oh, same old - same old." Jonas shrugged, the boredom with the topic evident, "Vampires never seem to change around these parts. I'm just here to kill and go."

"You'll want to look out for a vampire named Mathius Blackwell. I myself am hunting him, but I know from expirience that he's a tricky little bastard. He's a narc, a blood-traitor. Those types are best to avoid."

Joseph Braska - November 8, 2005 12:56 AM (GMT)
Joseph nodded. He blinked forcefully, keeping himself awake. "Thanks. I'll see aout helping you out with the, narc, as you say." he said, turning away from the bar. "I'm off to rest. Good day." he said, a bit of sarcasm in his voice.

The pale figure walked to the pipeway, and disppeared into it.

Jonas Aremar - November 8, 2005 01:10 AM (GMT)
"Fledges," Jonas said, rolling his eyes and hitting back another shot of blood-and-vodka, "They think they're the most evil big-bads around."

Pressing five dollars to the counter, Jonas stood up before kneeling over. Looking around quickly to make sure that no ine was watching, he turned into dust and disappeared.
