Title: A Chance Meeting
Description: att: Enoxia

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 07:57 AM (GMT)
Achlys brushed her hair away from her face, the stylish light curels had a habbit of straying into her face. As she made her way down the stairs to the subway system her shoes clicked on the concrete. They were not the most comfortable choice, black paten leather four inch silettos, but beauty was pain and she enjoied the way that they made her look. A vain creature by nature she took great pride in her appeance (doning at the moment; a emerald green a-line skirt that landed at her knee and a black halter top with sliver embroidery at her neck) and if that ment that she had to suffer, than so be it. Her 3/4 length black wool jacket played arround her legs as she moved through the crowds. It was still early and there was still much that she needed to do this night.

One on the platform to the train she stood there humming to herself as she lightly tapped her foot. Her eyes, out of habbit and self preservation, scanned the crowd for anyone that may have been concidered a threat. Her fingures, of one hand, playing gently with the silver necklace at her throat.

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 08:34 AM (GMT)
"Shimatta.." Kurea cursed, her voice barely more than a murmur as she rushed forth from the subway turnstiles to descend a flight of steps. A curtain of waist length champagne colored hair trailed in her wake, a spot of light in a sea of darkness otherwise known as rush hour. Deftly she made her way through the crowd, occasionally josstled by the rare jerk, and she felt the weight of the green duffle bag she slung over her shoulder become more pronounced as she tried to keep it in her grasp. Rounding the corner and stepping beside Achlys onto the platform, she sighed, lowering the bag containing her training outfit to the ground.

"I didn't count on it being so hot during the night.." She mused to as she gently pulled at her collar, and absently she blew a jet of air to her forehead with the intentions of moving her wispy gold bangs concealing her multi-colored eyes. Her outfit was elegant in it's simplicity- Nothing more that a black, thin cotton turtle neck shirt with khaki colored cargo pants, and a pair of color cordinated sneakers. The contrast between the her dark shirt and her rosy tinted ivory skin was astounding, making her look all the more ethreal in the dim subway lighting.

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 08:50 AM (GMT)
Achlys looked down at the girl next to her and smiled. Achlys had not noticed the heat, but she supposed that being undead did that to you. Then, concidering her coat, she laughed, so much for fitting in. The young girl next to her was a pretty thing, with champegne coloured hair, which threw Achlys off as her accent was, if she was not mistaken, Japanesse by the slight inflections of her words. However, Achlys was learning that there can be odder things in life beside a blonde girl from Japan, things like a 300 and some odd year old vampire waiting for the subway.

"I would have to agree with you, but I fear that I lack the sense to take the heat seriously," Achlys giggled to the girl as she held out her arm to display her jacket.

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 09:00 AM (GMT)
It had taken her a moment to hear the woman's reply, and even longer then to realize that it was directed towards her. She hadn't been directly addressed for over a month it seemed - her top priorities being to find a decent job and refurbish her newly acquired home as opposed to socializing. Or perhaps it was the lofty, somewhat distant personality she usually donned that steered people away -- Curtesy of from years of being an assain.

"Nani..?" She cast a glance down to the extended arm before her, a pretty, sheepish smile forming on her lips before replying, "I suppose it's the climate change, though that's really no excuse. I've been in Demaitre for a month now."

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 09:08 AM (GMT)
"No worries dear," Achlys laughed. "I have lived here for..." she paused. "Well, I have lived here for a while. One never really becomes acustomed to this place. At least that is my oppinion." She cocked her head to one side and looked the girl over. It seemed that she was unused to their surroundings, she had a bedrageled look too her, maybe not in her appearance persay, but in her demenor. "I am Achlys," extending her hand to the girl. She was not opposed to being friendly, and felt like commiting an act of kindness. She laughed inwardly.

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 09:18 AM (GMT)
"Pleasure to meet you." She smiled, accepting the woman's hand awkwardly before giving it a friend shake. 'No harm in making a friend, right?' A note of assurance before she made to respond, albeit hesitantly, "I am Kurea.." The corners of her peach colored lips twitched downward in a nonexsistant frown briefly, before continuing, "If you wish, you may call me Kaye."

'Hopefully that wasn't too informal' The heat, it seemed, brought out a different side to the semi-exhausted woman. That, and the fact that most of her concentration was in throwing aside the tell-tale signs of japanese formality in an effort to assimilate as fully as possible.

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 09:25 AM (GMT)
"Nice to meet you Kaye," Achlys looked down at the girls bag and looked back at her. "Have you come from training or something? I personally avoid the gym like it were the plauge, but I enjoy running so I figure it balances everything out," she said jovially. Well, that and her body hasn't changed in over three hundred years and she doubted very much that it would change anytime soon, but the girl didn't need to know that.

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 09:32 AM (GMT)
She gave a genuine smile -- Now here was something she could talk about.

"Yes, I actually just came from the Unmei Dojo. Perhaps you heard of it?"

Upon her arrival to Demaitre, she had fervently searched for any sort of establishment that could have served as a sort of training ground. She might not need it, but it never did any good to get rusty. 'Just incase..' The motto to which she lived by.

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 09:36 AM (GMT)
"Oh, yeah, I have heard of that place. I concidered taking some classes there, but you know life can get in the way. I do, however like to learn new things," Achlys chatted amiably, and was delighted when she had seen the girls smile. "Do you work there?" She asked casually.

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 09:43 AM (GMT)
"Ah.. no." She paused for a moment, scooping up the bag to sling once more over her shoulder at the sound of the approaching train. "But hopefully I will be. I've noticed a lack of staff there, and I think it'd be pretty convienent for me." The muscles of her shoulders relaxed just the tiniest of bits, and the conversation seemed to flow more easily out of her. "I'd really like that.."

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 09:50 AM (GMT)
"Cool cool," Achlys said. "I know how it goes," She smiled. In thrue she knew exactly how it went. She had been teaching private music lessons and found that if you could find a place that you enjoied working at and got use out of, then it made things a hell of a lot easier for everyone.

She blinked and then suddenly asked, "How old are you, if you don't mind my asking? I mean I want to know if you wanna get a drink, you know like hang out," She asked as the train approached. "Not that I am hitting on you, but you look like you could use a friend and I am always looking for more friends, especally from different walks of life."

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 10:07 AM (GMT)
"Cool cool, I know how it goes."

Kurea nodded absently before stepping back from the platform expectantly. 'Perhaps I should socialize more often' She mused to herself, watching as the train pulled into the station in a cacophany of sounds. 'Alternating between cooped up at home and cooped up at the dojo definately isn't the healthiest of lifestyles.'

"How old are you, if you don't mind my asking? I mean I want to know if you wanna get a drink, you know like hang out.."

She blinked, taking a moment to process the woman's question and seemingly offer to join her in a drink. She had avoided any heavy drinking for a while, though she doubted that's what the woman had in mind.

"Not that I am hitting on you, but you look like you could use a friend and I am always looking for more friends, especally from different walks of life."

She grinned as the woman rushed on before replying, "I think I'd enjoy that. I'm 23 - hopefully old enough to drink." She said almost teasingly, a grin spreading across her face.

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 10:12 AM (GMT)
"Oh, good. No, you are quite old enough. I know of a couple of places." Achlys took out a slip of paper and a pen as she stepped near the train. She scribbled on the paper and smiled. "Here is my number, incase you can't go right now. I am open most nights. Totally busy everyday, but like I said most nights, I am a bit of a night owl." She smiled at the girl.

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 10:17 AM (GMT)
"Great, I've been needing to get out some more.." She accepted the slip of paper with a smile, giving it the once over. "Perhaps you'll be willing to even show me around sometime? I don't mean to impose, you sound like a very busy woman.." She trailed off, watching the woman's face hopefully for any sign of encouragement.

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 10:24 AM (GMT)
"No, no. No Imposition. I would love to show you arround! I know what it is like to be new in town. And I am not that busy, but you know during the day time I have certian obligations," You know, sleeping the unholy sleep of the undead. Staying out of the sun 'cause that would be a crazy sunburn. She laughed inwardly and was sure that a little giggle escaped her, but she acted as though it hadn't. "If you get my machine leave a message, I will get back to as soon as I can. I am sure that you are busy as well."

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 10:33 AM (GMT)
"Er.. Yes, of course." She laughed nervously, slipping away the woman's number in her front pocket just as the train came to a stop. 'Yea, if you call smooching off of my lifes earning's busy' She remarked dryly to herself, Achlys' small giggle going unnoticed. She stepped into the train then, tightening her grasp on the strap of her duffle bag. "I'll call you soon then." She paused briefly, before continuing a voice surprisingly gentle, "Your very kind. How about my treat?"

Achlys de'Havier - July 30, 2005 10:44 AM (GMT)
"Oh, no, hun. My treat. I was the one that invited you," She laughed. She also had a feeling that the girl could not exactly spare the cash, and she herself was well enough off that it wouldn't matter to her. "Well, I hope that I will hear from you soon."

Enoxia - July 30, 2005 10:51 AM (GMT)
She felt herself blush involuntarily, feeling somewhat awkward in accepting her offer. It wasn't exactly polite back home overseas to accept ones generosity without protest, but the woman gave off an air of rock solid determination.

"Alright then. Till we meet again." The metal doors to the train shut with an eletronic ding, and she felt herself lurch foreward slightly as the train took off.
