Severian entered through the weathered door, soft leather shoes making almost no sound on the floor as he made his way over to his usual table. Sitting down, he let out a soft sigh as he pushed back the cowl that hid his face.
He glanced up to see the proprieter standing a few feet away, looking over at him. The man always seemed a tad nervous, though if it was because of him Severian didn't know. Seeing that he was being observed, the man said nervously: "Er.. what can I get you..?"

Indigo slipped into the little bar, full of its regulars and its drunkards, and slid up to the bar. She perched lightly on a barstool and rested her head on her elbow as she gazed about the room. She noticed the bartender was nervous as he waited on a strange man with black hair. She sighed softly, in one of her moods again.

Severian ignored the bartender for a few moments, watching the one who had just entered the bar. The gray eyes caught his attention, he hadn't seen many with eyes like that. He sighed as he turned his attention back to the bartender.
"Nothing for now, perhaps something later though," he replied quietly. The bartender nodded in relief and turned about. He'd noticed the newcomer also and, once on the other side of the bar, approached her.
"Can I get you anything miss?" he asked politely. Severian sat at his table, watching with barely concealed curiosity.

"Um, no, thank you, not at the moment," Indigo answered. The man scuttled off. She felt someone's eyes on her, and looked around. The man with black hair was watching her curiously. Indigo stood up, smoothed her short skirt, and walked over to him. "Excuse me, can I help you?"
