Title: What The Darkness Hides

Lia_Rizetti - June 30, 2005 09:34 PM (GMT)
She had been sitting in there for quite awhile now. Watching, silently, from one of the seats situated in far left hand corner. Had watched as people trickled in, trickled out, laughing, frowning, talking, slowly going about their way, unaware that the entire time the movie wasn't the only thing that was silently being observed. Whenever whatever she had paid for in the beginning ended, she silently followed behind the audience before doubling back and taking her silent position agian. Hour after hour passed, waiting for the moment that her watch announced that the theater was about to close

Around 11 o' clock the crowd started thinning. There weren't nearly as many people in the wings. Where there were families of five or six with small children giggling instead of paying attention to the movie, there were now single people and older, teenage couples who still weren't paying attention to the movie except for other reasons.

A lone figure walked up the steps. He was in his late twenties to early thirties. Clearly he didn't have a date or anybody to accompany him. From where she was concealed, Lia smiled. This was what she was waiting for.

Silently the girl went to the stairs opposite where he was sitting, keeping her eyes on the man while he sat frowning slightly, staring at the short premovie commercials. She slipped into the corridor between the other side and quickly crossed it. Hesitating for a mere moment, Lia slowly turned the corner and waltzed up the stairs. Lightly trailing her hand along the railing she saw out of the corner of her eye that the man was watching her. A smile flitted across her face as she tossed mahogany hair, sighed, seemingly turned her head randomly and caught sight of the man. A blush ran across his face as he looked away. Lia grinned slyly and walked up to the row behind him. He turned, glanced over his shoulder at her, and quickly turned to face the movie screen agian. Lia noted that his ears burned when he was embarassed. They stayed visable even as the lights dimmed.

Halfway through the movie at a point where anybody's attention would have wavered and swiftly stood. Waiting a moment she leaned down and quickly clamped a hand over the man's mouth. He turned and stared up at her, fear evident in his gaze. She held a finger to her lips and smiled, revealing gleaming white fangs.

Nobody heard him scream.

An hour later Lia exited the theater doors to the startling cold night air. She wiped her lips on the back of a once pale and cold, now rosy and warm hand. The employee's would later found the man sprawled on his asleep, unconscious. They would probably think that he was drunk and take him to the nearest hospital, "just in case". Lia had hardly taken any blood from the man, instead opting for a light snack. She had meekly put the man to sleep and quietly fed before leaving. This was a bit of practice. A warm up, if you will, before she went and met her friend. Then the real fun would begin

Rayhzik Umbra - June 30, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
Rayhzik lurked across the dark streets of Demaitre, hardly making any noise...a shadow in the night. The Vision Cinema was only 20 or 30 yards away. He had plans with another girl to go midnight hunting. That night..was the beginning of a feast. A feast for blood.

He walked beyond passerbys and hoped not to cause attention. His eyes caused attention in public. One black. One red.

A little crowd of teenagers, they were 16 or 17, like himself (16), walked towards the cinema. His thirst for blood had to hold. He avoided the oblivious teens and walked to the side. One of the teens squinted his eyes at him and muttered something to another one. His buddy looked towards Rayhzik and laughed. Rayhzik glared towards them with his eyes, panicing the kids, sending them running into the theatre. Rayhzik smirked and made his way towards his destination.

Rayhzik's vampire-senses told him that another one of his type were close.

That's her..

Rayhzik stalked the darkness of the back of the cinema, seeing the mahogany hair swaying in the midnight breeze. Finally he was there, putting his gloved hand through his dark-brown hair, Rayhzik sighed in accomplishment.

The midnight massacre... the feast of Demaitre...
The Hunt of Rayhzik and Lia.

"Are you ready?"

Lia_Rizetti - July 1, 2005 02:41 AM (GMT)
She had been sitting, face raised to the sky, making no move to shield her body from the cool night air. Her breath misted slightly in the air before her. Eyes were partly open, slowly blinking towards the heavens that towered over her. For a moment she smiled, content in the feeling of smallness, aloneness. She was one speck in an entire universe . . . .

Sighing slightly she withdrew from her silent reverie and turned to reguard the one approaching her. He was tall for his age, sixteen, blending in with the darkness around him. The man stepped into the lamplight and he suddenly became material. Long dark hair grew to his eyebrows, barely covering the strange eyes peering from under lowered brows. Noting that he pulled into the coat, touching the hilt's of the swords she knew he hid, Lia nodded in greeting.

"Are you ready?" he asked stiffly, deep voice smothered slightly as he knew that she wanted to stay hidden.

A smile touched her lips at the small almost hidden chivalry in this. He allowed her to begin. To announce that the hunt was open.

"Of course," she murmered, narrowing her eyes slightly, peering up at him through the darkness.

Quickly she turned on her heel and began walking in the opposite direction. She knew he'd follow. "Where do you want to start?" she asked out of the corner of her mouth, eyeing the road ahead to make sure nobody was coming.

Rayhzik Umbra - July 1, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
"I don't care." Rayhzik replied to the woman. It was follow-the-leader as they walked through the back alley way of the cinema.

Rayhzik's trenchcoat flew like a cape in the night-time air. Rayhzik pulled his hood over his head to hide some of the cold air from hitting his neck. He'd already been hitten, well bitten, there once.

Rayhzik made his way with Lia through the pavement, noticing not many people at this time of night. He heard a few shouts and laughs from his right side, moving him and Lia to that direction. Walking towards the location of the laughs and chattering, Lia and Rayhzik had made there way to a little party outside of a bar in Demaitre. He saw a few women, and some drunks, hic-cuping and talking nonsense.

"I'm gonna go take a piss," one of the drunks chuckled.

He made his way to a nearby tree, hidden in the shadows. Rayhzik looked at Lia.

Rayhzik smiled.

"May I?"

SubliminalPoison - July 2, 2005 08:30 PM (GMT)
The drunken man, un-zipped his pants and started to urinate on the tree, Rayhzik watched from his dark alley way, just as he was about to go and fetch his meal, Bastet appeared from no where in the tree grabbing he drunken man and pulling him back into the tree.

A minute of silence went by, the night air seemed still, and Bastet casually dropped out of the tree, she walked strait towards the alley in which Rayhzik stood. Bastet got tot he alley and walked strait past the two people. Bastets evil chuckle could be heard down the alley and then the human's body fell out of the tree as if it had been an accident.

Lia_Rizetti - July 2, 2005 08:46 PM (GMT)
Lia stared after the person who had just brushed by them. After Rayhzik had returned empty handed she had began to wonder . . . but this person confirmed it. She had caught a whiff of vampiric aura on the woman's clothes as she passed, and she narrowed her eyes after her.

She stank of blood.

Glancing at Rayhzik she murmered, "Did she take your kill?" but he didn't have to answer as the drained body of the man dropped from the tree behind them. For a moment Lia stared at him in silent acknowledgement. Lia raised her eyebrows and nodded slightly. "I have to admit . . . I'm impressed."

Almost automatically she dipped her hand into an inisde pocket of her bomber jacket and withdrew a paper thin silver camera. She walked around the body for a moment, examining it from all angles, until deciding on capturing the angle of his face pointing towards the tree, eyes wide in suprise. "I'll have to thank her later for the photo op."

Straightening from her crouch at the man's side, she agian looked towards Rayhzik. "Sooo . . . anywhere else you'd like to go where we won't be apprehended by other vampires?"

SubliminalPoison - July 2, 2005 08:52 PM (GMT)
Bastet stood on top of the roof, facing the open area of trees, she watched the vampire talking and looking at her latest masterpiece of death.

the wind blew, making her dress ripple in the wind, and the sound of sweet melodic winds pasted her ears, she looked at them and turned, she walked towards the end of the building and free falls off, she spun in mid air and landed on her feat.

Lia_Rizetti - July 2, 2005 09:14 PM (GMT)
Agian Lia turned, sensitive ears picking up the sound from a block away. She smiled. "It seems our vampire is back . . ." she murmered, and began to walk towards the sound. "I'll be back in a moment. I just want to thank her."

Quickly she walked around the corner, looking for the familiar figure of the woman.

SubliminalPoison - July 2, 2005 09:43 PM (GMT)
Bastet hung above the girl and she watched as she walked past, Bastet fell on top the floor landing in her petite but perfect way, he foot steps were so agile she wasn’t even heard by the most sensitive of ears.

"Are you following me for a auto-graph?" Bastet chuckled evil, "Well im sorry you to unpopular and well unfashionable to get one." Bastet chuckled again.

Lia_Rizetti - July 2, 2005 11:08 PM (GMT)
Lia scowled slightly at the sardonic comment but let it run past her. "No . . ." she said softly looking up at the woman above her. "I wanted to thank you for the opportunity that you provided. I'm an artist for a living and you gave me a spectacular shot. I'm not sure about you, but from where I'm from, if something is given to you, you thank that person."

SubliminalPoison - July 3, 2005 10:48 AM (GMT)
Bastet chuckled again, "Your more perfetic than i thort, hahaha" Bastet started to walk towards the girl, she looked as if she was going to eat her own kind.

((sorry i didnt put it threw spell checker))

Lia_Rizetti - July 4, 2005 10:42 PM (GMT)
((oh no its cool dont worry about it))

Lia stared at the woman in confusion. The woman was advancing on her with a glint in her eye that she did not like at all.

Slowly she narrowed her eyes and mentally bent at the knee, hands clenching automatically into fists, and shoulders hunching defensively. If there was going to be a fight because she said "thank you" for gods sake . . .

"Look. I don't want to start anything here." she said, voice in a low growl.

SubliminalPoison - July 5, 2005 03:31 PM (GMT)
Bastet's pace quickened, it quickened so much it turned into a run, and just as she was about o run strait in to the girl she jumped strait over her, he like mind game worked.

Bastet smiled. gave her evil chuckle. and shouted back "Thank you any thing to help out a fellow vampire" her evil chuckle faded into the alley.
