Title: Sleeping Like The Dead

Morrigan - June 8, 2005 10:06 PM (GMT)
Morning is near. I should rest, now.

Amadahy stood beside an empty tomb in the corner of a large room. It was an old style tomb of stone with old words carved into it. She liked it. The room was still and quiet. She had not bumped into any other vampires here, yet. She rubbed her temples with her fingertips. She let out a moan.

"Tomorrow, I feed," she mumbled to herself before pushing back the tomb's cover. Inside it was dark, of course. Old cloth and a little dust laid inside. Amadahy chuckled. She half expected to see a corpse.

"Better than the street," she said. Carefully, she swung the right leg over so she sitting on the edge. So far, so safe. Amadahy glanced around. Still no others. Hope no one is watching. Next, she pulled her left leg over. She slid down into her new bed and straightened her legs out.

"Oops! I'm facing the wrong way," she blurted, then spun on her bottom until her feet were in the right place. "Better. Much." She took a deep breath, then laid her head down. For a moment, she forgot to close the tomb and laid there. Wide-eyed and scared.

I thought I was a better vamp than this!

About this time, the sun was beginning to rise outside. Before poor Amadahy could remember to pull the cover over herself she fell into helpless sleep. As a vampire she had no control over it. Just like that, she was out. Unfortunately, she snored.
