Once inside, Nardo walked ahead of the rest and slowly surveyed the faintly familiar surroundings. It had been a long while, but the place looked the same; dimly lit, skuzzy and stale. Since he had opened his own multi-function place of business in town - bar, poker club, strip joint, whorehouse… - it wasn’t often that he’d be found in any other bar.
He would’ve brought the group to his own place, but there was a good chance Charlotte would be there, and there was no way he was letting that horny, lying, cheating chump anywhere near her.

He found the four of them table in a booth in a dark corner, furthest from the bar. He sat himself down, and looked up at them patiently. Patience was not something that Nardo experienced often.

Byron was walking in between the girls, and when they reached the booth, he stopped and waited. Someone would have to get the ‘pleasure’ of sitting next to Nardo. Quickly, he weighed the pros and cons. Although he wanted to stay as far from him as possible, if he were to sit facing him rather then beside him, Nardo would have more than a clear shot if he were to want to try something. Also, if he were to sit next to him, he’d be on the outside, and wouldn’t be trapped or boxed in. Thirdly, Byron wanted a clear view of both girls.
He shrugged and took his seat next to Nardo.
Nardo grinned.

A shapely but very homely waitress approached them, smacking her gum loudly. “What’ll it be guys?” she asked, quite unenthusiastically. Nardo leaned forward from behind Byron, and suddenly, the woman froze and her face lost a bit of its pigment.
“Valerie.” Nardo breathed. “Long time. I see you found a new way of making money.”
“Nardo, I..” she stuttered, “I’ve been meaning to--”
“Forget it. Its of no importance tonight. I want a beer. Heineken.”
Valeria Rosedale. A whore who could really sneak around, a little too well for her own good. The last night she was living and employed at Byron’s, she snuck right into his own wallet, and was never seen again until now. He had been hunting her down for a long time. But tonight, was not the night.
“What about the rest of you?” she asked, barely able to form words or let her eyes stray from Nardo, who sat watching her subtly from the corner, his hands folded on the table.

Andriette had watched the woman's reactions, Bernardo sure made friends. Andriette decided against anything to drink, saying she felt a bit woozy. The Byron fellow sat across from her and she pulled up the front of her shirt, Pervert.
