The empty hall of st.mary's stood quietly, you could hear a pi drop if you had one, the creek of a window opening echoed threw the candle lit church.
A long black rope fell down from the ceiling and on the rope swung down a petite woman covered from head to toe in black leather, half way down the woman jumped off landing perfectly on the floor in her black high heals.
The female untied her self from the rope and said in a arrogant teenage voice "now were is the gold ... sorely a church has gold" she walked up to the alter and started to look for gold crosses or silver candles.

Richard walked up the steps to the church contemplating his conversation he just had with Colton. Was he too forward? Should he have gained Colton's trust before asking him for military support? The whole idea that Nyx corrupted Fortitudo was starting to sound crazy to Richard, he should have asked her first before trying to start a war against her.

His thoughts where cut short when he saw a passable immortal trying to steal from the church. He let out a loud and face cough "can I help you?" He took the same stance that Colton took when Richard met him. He leaded on the door frame to the catacombs.

It was a bit chillier then before because he wasn't wearing his armor, just a white wife beater that showed his muscles and blue jeans.

The girl turned around and smiled "my name is Bastet" she smiled kindly and jumped onto the altar and back flipped grabbing the rope and starting to climber up it.
it was going perfectly till she started to here a croaking noise, and as she looked up the rope snapped, she flew down towards the floor landing perfectly crouched down.

"now there are two problems here... the first is that your in the my way of getting out of the church and the second problem is......im going to be going threw you now move!"

Bastet started to walk towards the unimportant figure to whom she believed to be less superior to herself.

t with his mind Richard opened the door to his room. "I'll be right back" and faster that the Vampire could see he was gone. Richard stopped in his room and in less than thirty seconds had his armor back on and was standing right where he had left.

Thirty seconds that was ten seconds faster than normally, he made a mental note pf the effectiveness of his mental powers when working with his super speed.

Disappearing and reappearing behind her "I don't think you can just walk-in here and then try to escape with out and explanation." He was so close he whispered into her ear.

Disappeared again and reappeared leaning on the door to the catacombs. His black armor with red crosses on his breast plate, knee guards and shoulder pads. "I really don't think your going to get out as easily as you think."

Bastet smiled sweatly and moving equaly as fast and to his surprise she ended up udnerneath him, then behind him , then in front of him , then sitting on hishsoulders he frew him flyingacross the room.
She smiled and spoke gently "As i suspected not perfect."

Richard had to admit he was caught of guard but still as he flew he spun and landed perfectly on his feet. "Not bad not bad at all." He knew he needed to slow her down to win. So lashed out with his mental powers which where well developed. He felt her start to break down under the attack.

He drew his bastard sword made out of steel with titanium on the edges so it wouldn't break just like his titanium armor. "So you want to fight."

He flew at her with his speed with his sword in his second hand and his first hand out stretched as to stab her.

Bastet looked up and her eyes turned into cat eyes, those eyes flashed in Richards head, knocking him off ballance, she sniggers and took one step to the right, and he swung his sword.
The sword hit the door frame dinting it a little and causing it to get stuck int he wood, he tried to pull his sword out and whilst he wasnt paying attention Bastet jumped up and kicked him in the face,

Bastet ran back into the main hall and to the altor, looking for her excape root.

Watching Bastet side step Richard grabbed out with his hand and brought her with him, but instead of her landing before the wall like Richard she slammed into the wall with Richard's hand around her neck holding her above the ground. Also, because of his hand she couldn't move.

Richard put up his mental shields so her eye move wouldn't work again no matter how much she did it. "So it seams that you are pinned. You should have thought twice about attacking a coven headquarters."

Bastet looked around for a quick plan "i was not attacking any were ... i was merely searching for some ... treasure" Bastet smiled.
Bastet put her hands causing some dark red blood to trickle down her fingers from his hands.
she dug them in even more to try get him to let go.

The pain came as a surprise, Richard had forgotten to put on his gauntlet. If he didn't she would have no chance to pierce it. Richard shut out the pain and looked to find a away to stop her. His sword. He put his leg against the wall and pulled out the sword with out taking off the pressure on the other Vampire. He brought the sword up to her neck. "I could kill you right now, so try not to give me some incentive." He meant that she should stop cutting into his hand. "Why would you want to steal from a church."

"for gold...silver" a shine in her eyes glinted , and Richard being kind of hypnotised by this let go of Bastet's neck.
Bastet stroked Richard cheek pecked him on his cheek then ran off down the hall leaving him in as state of hypnotism.

Richard quickly woke from the hypnotic attack. He watched her run down the hall and judged the best path to take. Richard quickly wiped out a knife that caught Bastet in the leg so she fell.

He ran up to her and looked at the impact of the blade, it was pretty deep. He pulled it out and picked her up. "I will fix that if you promise to never try to steal stuff from this church."

Bastet bit her bottom lip in pain, "i didnt know any of this junk was important to any one, the place looked abandoned, so technicaly i wasnt stealing."

Bastet leaned forward in Richards arms and felt around the dager, lifting her thinger to reveal the ends coverd in a dark thick red blood.

Bastet fainted at the sight of this, her long red/black hair falling back with her head and upper body in Richards arms, her petite body lay still.

Richard finally got a good look at her she was beautiful, but he had no time to think about that. He disappeared and reappeared in his room with Bastet in his arms. He laid her on his bed and found a medical kit in the closet. Wow it place has everything, but he had to focus.

Quickly he applied a tourniquet to her wound and applied pressure with his hand that was not covered in his own blood. A few moments later the bleeding subsided and Richard put a few band-Aids on his cuts on his hand. When he was done he took of his armor and placed it on the floor laid out perfectly. But where was his gauntlet he wondered and proceeded to look for it. He finally found it in the closet. "Damn how did you get in there." He put in it's place in the layout and waited for Bastet to wake up.

A few hours after the sun had risen, Bastet started to awaken, she lay in a beautiful four poster bed covered with silk sheets.

Bastet was alone in this dimly lit room with a set of shiny armour on the floor lay’d out, she pulled the cover off her and went to stand up but the gash on her leg, she sat there looking for her high heeled shoe's which could not be seen nor her coat.

The door started to creek open and Bastet leaned back on the bed lifting her feat back onto the bed.

Richard was worried about Bastet she had been a sleep for awhile. For so long he took a little walk around the Catacombs. He also has to explain to a few Vampires about what happened.

A while later he walked back into his room and noticed that Bastet was awake. "You shoes and coat are in the closet." He sat on the bed next to her. "So who are you and how are you?"

"like i said before my name is Bastet" Shewent realy quiet not realy knowing what egsacly to say, she turned over ont he bed to face away from him, she felt uncomfortable and she didnjt enjoy him asking her about her past.

She thort to her self "Were did i leave my dagger if hes stolen it then...!" but when she did that she realised the amulet her mother gave her was missing from around her neck.

"WERES ME AMULET YOU.....!"

"Hey I didn't take it, it must have fallen off while you slept." He saw it just under her pillow. "There it is." He picked it up and put it around her neck. "There you go now why did you steal from the church. What made you do it?" He spoke calmly as to not frighten her. "O and your dagger is with your jacket and shoes, I didn't want you to wake up and try to kill me."

Bastet took a deep breath "I love gold , silver , diamonds , ruby's , garnet and any thignt hat has a shine." Bastet hoped she didnt sound silly" bastet held the pendant in her hand "if i had knew people lived ehr ... then i wouldnt have taken any thing ... not like this stopid place has any thingn in it." Bastet went to move but a sharp pain flew up her legg.

"You just have to know where to look. Like my armor for example it is made of titanium and is valued at over one hundred thousand dollars and my sword has diamonds and gold in the hilt." He noticed her trying to move and the fact she stopped and had a look a pain on her face. "Hey you should let it heal a little longer before trying to move."

"i dont steal things for the money" Bastet stopped for a minute "I realy shouldnt stay here any more.....im not wellcome" Bastet tried to move again trying her hardest to bere the pain that shot frew her leg like a stake to the heart.

Richard put his hand in front of Bastet so she couldn't move "you shouldn't move." Why did she believe that she was unwelcome, Richard just told the other Vampires that there had been a fight and he killed the intruder. "Hey no one wants to hurt you actually I want to make sure you get better." Richard smiled as he spoke.

bastet didnt understand what was going on, she had broke into a clan's area, she had attacked one of the members, tried to steal from them, yet she was being looked after, she should be dead by now.
Bastet sighed and lay back onto the pillows of the bed, then she realised what she had done and looked at the bandages on Richards hand "Im sorry are you allri..." she was interusted in mid speach.

"I'm fine" Richard quickly snapped when he was really still in a little pain. His hand movement was going to be out for awhile, this was perfect that his swordsmanship is shot on the night he might need it the most. "Don't worry I'm not even in this coven. Even if they get mad at you, and they don't know you exist, it will be for entering part of their headquarters and trying to steal things." But I don't need to tell them you where trying to steal things do I?"

"It depends on if there is any thing of great importance but of shine in this building?" Bastet replied with a little bit of cheekyness , Bastet swung her leggs off the bed wiht alot of pain in that, "Do you have a bath around here?" She looked at the dry blood which had cloisterd on her legg, and waited for a reply.

"Yeah it's down the hall. Do you want me to carry you I beet your leg is still in pain." This question was stupid because she was definitely in pain.

"I could always crawl" but just as she finished her sentence Richard scooped her up and carried her into the bath room.

He started to run the water for Bastet, but Bastet was wondering if he was going to be staying in, she felt uncomfortable.

He finished running the water for her and turned the water off. "When you want me to carry you back to the room just call" and with that Richard walked out of the bath room. He walked back to his room and lied down to just rest not to sleep.

Bastet slipped out of her well made clothes and slowely but steadily got into the bath, washing her self furilly, undoing the bun in her hair and washing her hair.

The water had turned red and as it spiraled into the plug hole, after she had dried her self sitting on the toilet she put her clothes back on and called for richards help.

However Richard had fallen a sleep so he was unaware of Bastet's calling for him. Finally, about five minutes later he woke up and walked to the bathroom. "Are you done? he asked as he entered. Noticing that she was finished he reached into the bath tub and picked her up.

"Where to now?”

Bastet lay in Richards arm half her mind on thinking "I dont know were i am midn due were to go" but the other half of her mind on "hes so strong and muscular", Bastet bit her bottom lip but then snapped out of it quikly.

"I realy dont mind but i realy should be going soon" Bastet looked down at her leg knowing to well she wasnt going any were.

"Well then I guess we will just go back to my room." He spoke as if he had a hidden agenda besides just taking care of her. They caught a few glances as Richard carried Bestet through the halls, but he didn't mind at all.

When they arrived Richard laid her on his bed. "So what do you want to do now?"

Bastet lay ont he bed, her hair curl inwards just at the bottom but still lushes and long tot he ends, she leaned up and put one hand on the side of richards face, there lips slowely moved together and a sweet pationate kiss elapsed on there faces.

"Im sorry i must go, my stay has been to long i am not part of this coven and should not be wellcomed inside it fast halls." Bastet smiled sweetly at richard whom was still a bit over powerd by that kiss.

"Don't worry they don't even know you're here, and if they find out I can just say you are with me. So it seams that I am the only one that could put you in harms way and I don't want to do that." Richard cared about her, strange for him. He now cared for some one giving him the idea that maybe he could forgive Fortitudo.

This was not the time or place to think about that stuff. He moved so that he as on top if her and then he kissed her more passionate then before.

Bastet pulled away from his lips, she was nervous she was scared most of all though, Bastet had never realy been like this with a man before, Richard tried again to kiss her, Bastet pulled away with tears forming in her eyes, she didnt know why she had been forced into tears.

her mouth went dry and she tried to puller her self off the bed but her saw leg stopped her from doing so.

Richard noticed this is not what she wanted so he backed off. "Sorry" all he had to say before he walked out of the room looking extremely saddened.

Bastet felt a bit harsh but she leaned up and hobbled over to the wardrobe, she took out her high heals and put them on it was painful to stand in them but she bore the pain.

She put on her cout checking for the dagger it was there, Bastet open'd the door to see Richard she stood there not knowing what to do, was she to walk past him and pretend this never happend or was she to stay she waited for Richard to say something.

"Well I guess you should go" and before she could answer he had walked back in this room and shut the door. He laid on his bed just think about what happened. "Well you fu cked up that one" he was talking to himself.

Bastet limped down the stairs from second floor of the church in which richards room was, Bastet leaned against a wall and thort about what had happend, she looked around for a pen and paper and in a draw in a old cupbourd she found some she wrote a small note on it.

"To Richard.

Im sorry, i was scared but dont think it is a good idea for you to get involved with me sorry love Bastet."

She left it on the side were richard would see it and she left the church to go to her rented flat.
