Title: Forgiveness
Description: For skirr
Fortitudo Dei - April 15, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
The crisp night air breezed by Richard as he walked into St. Mary. Richard had not been in a church since he sided with the Knights Templar with there wanting to overthrow the Catholic church. He had finally decided he needed to repent, however he still wore his Knights Templar armor black titanium with a large knights Templar cross in the middle of his breast plate and a few small ones in other places.
As he walked down the middle aisle he sensed a few Vampires in the area. Nephim Richard knew he remembered this Church from before. Well he was doing something now. He sat down in on of the pews and began to pray. "Holy Father please grant your child for forgiveness for the sins he has committed. I repent for going against your holy Church and fighting battles against your church. So If you find it in you get power and wisdom to forgive me your hubble child I will be extremely happy. Amen." Even once Richard was done he still Continued to think about what he has done in his life and if what else he needed to repent for.

Colton sighed some. The church seemed to be getting popular; he didn't like that idea... Soon they'd have teenagers coming in and searching the catacombs, finding those that had been lived in... Maybe they should start locking the Catacomb entrance?
"If you're looking for a priest, you'll have better luck at the Church of Our Holy Mother... It's two blocks away, going towards the mall district, and on your left." The directions were so practiced, and it showed in his tone. Very blandly said.
Colton was leaning against the door frame to the catacoms, arms folded over his chest, looking overdressed and over-exhausted. He could sense that the man before him wasn't mortal; this man was probably looking for admittance to the coven. Colton wondered if he was allowed to accept people, even after he had been replaced.
He'd do it anyway, until he got caught.

The voice made Richard look up a small looking Vampire was looking at him giving him unwanted advice. "Actually I not need or want a priest, I can ask for forgiveness, but for it to be granted is up to god no a priest." Richard stood up showing what he really looked like to the other Vampire and took a good look at the other Vampire, he was strangely familiar. "I am Richard, I came here for one reason well actually two. One I need a coven to stay in and second my Fledgling Fortitudo Dei was tricked into being corrupted by Nyx and I want revenge for all the work she undid"
Richard walked over to the Vampire that he now realized was Colton leader of the Nephim and put his gauntleted hand out for Colton to shake. "So what to you say Colton leader of the Nephim."
Skirr - April 15, 2005 11:55 PM (GMT)
Colton always felt intimidated by larger, more muscular, better looking men than himself. When decked out in old armour, it just pushed the intimidated level to an almost frightened feel. "So you'd like to join Nephim..." He filled in the blanks of what the other man never said.
Colton took the hand offered to him, a bit timidly, but he shook it to be courteous. "I say I'm not the leader." Colton shrugged, a bit awkwardly, considering his relaxed stance against the door frame. "Nicodemus is leader again." Colton almost scowled. Nicodemus had left again. No where to be seen.
"I also say that this revenge you want... I don't think you're in the right place for it. If you want revenge, I'd try joining the Ishak. Their leader is... Crude enough for revenge." There was a flash of pain or disgust or hatred--some strong, dark emotion--across Colton's face as he said this. Anton and Colton obviously weren't on good terms.
"Besides. There's no one here to help you wage your revenge." Aside from himself, who couldn't punch if paid to do so.
Fortitudo Dei - April 16, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
"I understand if the Nephim are scared to fight then I guess they wont." Richard wondered why all the covens didn't just get together to destroy the Terapha. "So where would I find the Ishak. Even though I am old I just arrived here." With a quick glance Richard noticed Colton’s fear of him. "Don't worry I am not going to hurt you unless you deserve it and right not I see no reason to fight you."
Skirr - April 16, 2005 01:41 AM (GMT)
Oh, what a relief. Muscle man had no intention of ripping Colton's spine out. Still didn't help to comfort him, but he smiled some and tried to look like he didnt care. And, of course, he failed at doing such.
"You understand that no one here is 'scared' to fight. We don't make fights, though. The Amman forbid it, and I don't mess with Marcus." The image of the Amman leader ripping the head, and consequently, half of the spine, out of a man played through Colton's head, and he shook himself of the thought.
"But, if you'd really like to join the Ishak... The Cemetary." Colton didn't have directions for it, though. He wasn't accustomed to sending people to the Ishak. Normally those who came here were the lighter-hearted vampires. This one, however, wanted revenge.
Fortitudo Dei - April 16, 2005 01:52 AM (GMT)
"So this Marcus he is the boss of everyone? Then why does he not keep everyone in check." The whole idea of the one man ruler made Richard sick that why he and the other Knights Templar left the Catholic church. The cemetery not a very up beat place Richard wondered if he should go tonight or wait until tomorrow night to go out. "Well since I might not find the right cemetery or even if I do I still won't know where to go, so I was wondering can I stay here tonight." Colton’s direction where not as good as the ones for the other church actually his directions to the Cemetery where non-excitant.
Skirr - April 16, 2005 02:11 AM (GMT)
"No... He just keeps people in check when... Stuff happens. He and the rest of the Amman." Colton didn't know what they did. He didn't know much about any coven, save Nephim and Enashe. "And, if you are referring to Nyx recruiting your... Your fledgeling? then I hardly think that Marcus or any of the Amman would step in her way... It's not like, a massive murder scheme or anything..."
Colton rambled away in front of this Richard guy, playing with the hem of his shirt, and avoiding most eye contact.
"Yea, sure... God knows we've got the space." Colton stepped out of the way of the catacomb entrance, glancing down some. "It's dark--watch your step." Dark. Just the way the Nephim like it.
Fortitudo Dei - April 16, 2005 02:23 AM (GMT)
"Well then there is no one in control is there?" This whole damn system was starting to get to Richard he hated the non-organization in the origination of it. Richard wonder if he should meet Nyx and ask her what happened or go to the Ishak tomorrow. "Thank you Colton." Richard took off his helmet revealing his Knights Templar tattoo on his forehead, his gold eyes, and his short brown hair, before gesturing to Colton to lead the way. "You should go first I might get lost."
Skirr - April 16, 2005 04:32 AM (GMT)
"Fear." Colton said, almost cheerfully. "Fear keeps a lot of the rouge vampires in check. Pure fear. Those who flout the laws the Amman laid down think they are above the law; Nyx and Anton, for example." Of course, this put a bad title on the Ishak, saying that their leader felt he could flout the Amman's laws. But, did Colton care much? Nah. Anton deserved it.
"Alright... Just don't... Whip out some dagger or something from..." Colton just waved his hands around, expressing somewhat coherently that he meant 'from your armour', but... Drama was his specialty when he wanted it to be, and he'd act accordingly. Colt stepped down the stairs like he normally did, skipping the last one with a little jump, and looking down the first main corridor of the Nephim Catacombs.
"I suggest you pick one of the first few rooms, as to not get lost later..." Colton shurgged some, and went back to fiddling with his pockets. He wasn't a people's person.
Fortitudo Dei - April 16, 2005 12:55 PM (GMT)
Fear is a powerful thing Richard had to admit, but he was not afraid of what was to come next. After Colton’s comment about daggers Richard drew his sword and held it down in a non-offensive style. "A dagger ha, I use this." Richard looked at the possible rooms and picked one. He walked towards it and sheathed his sword on the way. "Thank you Colton I think I'll take this one." He finished speaking when he entered the room. Small, but nice it contained a bed, two paintings of people Richard that no idea who they where and a small closet. As soon as Richard entered he clothes the door and began to take off his armor a process that if he didn't use his mental powers it could take a vary long time.
Reemerging a few minutes after he entered wearing a white wife beater and a pair of jeans he found in a closet with out his armor he as smaller but he was still extremely strong and people could see his muscles through the wife beater. "Well thanks again Colton. I have one question how did you become the leader of the Nephim."
Skirr - April 16, 2005 05:52 PM (GMT)
Yea, that was no dagger, and Colton sorta wish he'd never mentioned the man having a weapon on him. Like previously said, Fear was a powerful force, and Colton was quite timid around strangers as it was. Strangers with swords? Very fearful.
While Richard was changing, Colton considered going to his room and spending the rest of the night sleeping. And the rest of the day... He really couldn't think up anything else that he'd want to do. But, when Richard returned, he stopped heading further down the hall, and turned to face the man. He looked a lot less imposing now, though Colton still looked like a twig in comparison. Colt talked more easily, it seemed, now that the armour was shed.
"Inheritence. Nicodemus left Jason in charge while he was away, and Jason left me in charge when he left, but he was killed somewhere along that route, so I became leader. Then Nicodemus showed up and he took leadership back... I'm not the leader. Just an ex." He shrugged some, as if being an ex didn't bother him. But, from the earlier conversation, it was apparent that it did.
Fortitudo Dei - April 17, 2005 09:41 PM (GMT)
"Well if Nicodemus left again shouldn't you be the leader of the coven again. He shouldn't just come in and take your coven away because he claims that he ran the coven before Jason." Richard wanted to add you should have fought him for control of the coven, but Richard didn't want to where out his welcome. Fighting and training people that is what Richard is good at giving him and idea. "Hey Colton I bet you fought Nicodemus for control right? Well it seams that you lost, so I was wondering since I have trained many over the years maybe I could train you."
Skirr - April 18, 2005 06:05 AM (GMT)
Colton sighed. "It's a little more complicated than that... I guess you could say I am loyal to my coven, which means I am loyal to my leader. If he's gone off again, to god knows where, I'm supposed to accept that." And watch as things fell apart with the utter lack of leadership.
"Hah! No, no, Richard... Accept my thanks for the attempt, but I couldn't possibly try and fight him. Did it once, got my butt kicked. I'd rather not be humiliated again." Especially since his self esteem was at an all time low.
Fortitudo Dei - April 18, 2005 05:17 PM (GMT)
"Yes loyalty is a important think, I was not that loyal to the Catholic church, but that’s just me." Richard had no Idea why he was telling Colton this, but he did anyway. "Well Colton since you don't want to train I am going to go back to the church and think about praying some more. You can come if you like."
(OOC: If you do fallow go to Subliminalpoision's topic in the nephim because I told him that I would join his.))
