Title: First Step
Description: open to anyone
Aiden Savo - March 6, 2005 08:24 AM (GMT)
Aiden scanned the area for food. Nothing. He silently walked towards the abandoned warehouse before him. It was partly demolished, but it still stood. Aiden wanted food, but he wanted to be unnoticed in a city full of Vampire Covens.
He tried to stay near the area that he lived in, but he could only kill so many before questions were asked, but he didn't want to stray onto a coven's turf. A gang of vampires had murdered his mentor and friend. He had seen what many vampires can do to few. Aiden wasn't easily scared, in fact in almost never happened. Yet the sight of Revan turning to dust made his already cold body shiver.
Aiden continued walking. He turned past the corner and finally saw some humans. It was some punk and his girlfriend buying drugs from a dealer. Aiden grinned. He walked slowly over to them. They glanced at him and went back to what they were doing. Since Aiden looked about 220+ years younger than he was they probably thought he was some drug junkie. His unimposing figure also made them ignore him. That would be there last mistake. He reached out and smashed the young couple's heads together knocking them unconcious. The drug dealer started to run but Aiden caught up with him and grabbed him. The drug dealer had the smell of heroin upon him. His blood was obviously loaded with it so there was no point in drinking it. He snapped his neck then walked over to the unconcious couple. He decided to save the girl for later, so he picked up the guy, "got his gameface on" and bit into his neck. The warm blood trickled into Aiden's mouth. He slurped it down until it was gone. The man was dead. Aiden dropped the body and it hit the ground. Blood dribbled from Aiden's mouth. He wiped the blood off thenen picked up the girl and threw her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
Aiden began walking hoping no one planned on relieving him of his goodie.

It wasn't quite planned... It just happened.
Colton had been walking home, as was usual, from a job that was slowly consuming him. He was dressed nice, yet somehow, he seemed to look casual in his button down shirt and slacks. Maybe it was the fact that his hair was a mess, is shoes were worn, old sneakers, and he was wearing sunglasses. No professional here.
The huge stack of papers in his hand said otherwise. He was going over something with a highlighter, and not really paying much attention to where he was going. Documents of the latest bills for services provided to Ace High Casino, and Colton was scrutinizing one page: Entertainment. He was making sure every penny they had to pay on his side of things was a penny they actually needed to pay.
It obviously involved a lot of concentration, as he didn't look up until he heard someone yell. Colton peered over the top of his paper at a group of people, two slumped on the ground, one running and yelling, and the other chasing. Colton stopped dead in his tracks. Did he run, or did he do something? The first of the two was a very appealing thought.
The chasing man snapped the screaming man's neck, and then went to kill the other two. Or one, as Colton observed. The woman was thrown over the man's shoulder, and he started off.
This set off a bad nerve in Colton. His sister had raped by a man, and left to die on the side of a road. Could this be the same man? He knew it wasn't. Mortals had killed his sister. Vampires hadn't. "HEY YOU!" He started walking towards them regardless, looking more miffed than concerned, and seemingly unphased by the previous two murders.
((I'm bored. I figured I'd be productive.))
Aiden Savo - March 6, 2005 09:14 AM (GMT)
Aiden slowly turned when he heard an angry voice. He was deeply irritated as he saw a man walking towards him holding a stack of papers. The man didn't smell human. He was a vampire. Aiden rolled his eyes as he he approached. Damn't. One night and I'm already being hassled about my food.
He replied arrogantly to the still approaching man, "What the bloody hell do you want?" Aiden figured he wanted the girl, but asked just in case.
Aiden sniffed the girl's neck. It smelled succulent. He didn't want to taste her yet, no, he would chain her up, and save her for later. That was of course, if he could get her away from the other vampire.
Skirr - March 6, 2005 09:23 AM (GMT)
Colton stopped a few feet before the vampire, glaring from under his sunglasses, eyes looking to the girl, then back to the vampire.
Colt scoffed. "I want you to put her down. Who do you think you are?" Rhetorical, of course, but he posed it anyway. "Look at the mess you've made! Are you Tarepha, because I'll..." He'll what. It donned on him that he held little to no authority anymore. The once-Nephim leader stood there a moment, speechless.
"Put her down." He said it in a voice that had little room for question. He meant it, and even if he had no political power to get the guy with, he still had himself. All 5' 10" of him and his scrawny frame. He hardly looked imposing, and thus was ready to not be taken seriously.
That didn't mean he had a plan B if the man decided not to put his captive down.
Aiden Savo - March 6, 2005 09:31 AM (GMT)
Aiden rolled his eyes. Then he spoke arrogantly, "Who do I think I am? I think I am hungry. Therefore I have food."
What? Why didn't he want her to eat? What kind of vampire was he?
"Tarepha? Shit no. I am my own. The name is Aiden. Perhaps you've heard of my terror in New York from the 1870's to the 1970's...that was some fun..."
Then the vampire hesitated after he started to threaten. The vamire perhaps was afraid of something. So Aiden replied, "You'll do what? Throw your stack of papers at me? Hah!"
Aiden turned dismissively and started walking some more.
Skirr - March 6, 2005 09:46 AM (GMT)
Colton hadn't heard of him. Being the fledgling that he was, he hadn't heard of a lot of things. He normally saw the worse end of the stick on most issues. Beltane. Leadership positions. Dating. Oh, wait... He'd always been bad at the last one. Scratch that.
"You've just killed two people! Why don't you drain the dead guy and let her go?" He didn't know about the heroin addict's blood. He didn't quite care, either. Still blood, and it was his fault for picking a bad kill.
Colt glared at the mention of his papers, which he quickly folded in half and shoved into a pocket. They stuck out a good four inches, but that didn't matter. They were out of his hands. "Put. Her. Down." His tone had risen to a harsher degree as he was dismissed by the cocky Independent nobody. Well. He'd regret that.
Quicker than Aiden had registered, Colton was standing in front of them, arms crossed, looking quite uppity. "I said put her down. Do it." Still, threats from the ex-highschool-geek vampire were unimpressive and certainly not worth anyone's time. It was just the fact that he was blocking Aiden's way that made any difference.
Aiden Savo - March 6, 2005 01:13 PM (GMT)
Aiden sighed and turned around. "Why don't I feed off the other one? Let's see, for one, his blood was full of heroin so it would have screwed with my head. Another reason is that I want to drink this girl's blood and have a little fun at the same time. So why don't you piss off."
The scrawny looking vampire was determined. You had to give him that. After thinking for a moment, he realized the guy must have been turned at least in the past five years or so if not sooner. This fledgling really was getting on his nerves.
When the young vampire got in Aiden's path, he demanded he put down the girl again. There was a time that Aiden would have gone into a blood rage and would have attempted to rip a vampire's head off. However, ever since Revan had mentored him he had become more calm and colledcted.
So, Aiden sighed and spoke slowly, "Look, your a determined vampire, I'll give you that. But, why, would you want to save a human?" He yelled in frustration, "They're walking Happy Meals!!"
Skirr - March 6, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
Colton shurgged. "If you were just going to feed from her, then I'd have no problem. Your 'fun with her' idea is what unnerves me. So why don't you just feed from her, right here, right now, and then YOU piss off." Apparently he didn't care for the human's life in the slightest, though inwardly, he was opposed to needless killing. Why vampires didn't just feed from his victims and leave them alive was a question Colton would never have answered. So many different styles of killing.
He was only truly opposed to the 'rape and feed' style.
He sighed, becoming frustrated himself with the inability for this guy to listen. Colton could sense Aiden's age was much more than his own, but that didn't stop him from challenging the man to put his little 'prize' down. Colton didn't move from where he stood.
"You have a lot of nerve, killing two people and leaving such a mess." Mess, refering to the fact that he hadn't even healed the teethmarks on his victim, and made it look like a fight for heroin. The police wouldn't even bother with a case like this; just one more drug dealer that was removed from the city.
Aiden Savo - March 6, 2005 07:15 PM (GMT)
Aiden shrugged as the young vamp stated his mind. Aiden sighed. "Why do you care what I do with her? She's nothing special. She was just some girl that was in to deep. She should have never gone with her boyfriend to this drug deal. A price to pay."
Aiden stopped and thought about his words. "I prefer to rape and feed because I need some entertainment. I haven't had any fun in over 20 years. I've been feeding on vermin like beggars, I've lived in the sewers. Do you know what it feels like to be nothing after a century of where blood flowed like wine and I ruled the underworld with an iron fist? Now, I live like a fugitive hiding from most other vampires so I don't become a target for an entire coven. I have to sneak food so it's not relieved of me."
Aiden morphed his face so his fangs, and disfigured vampire face could be easily seen. He roared with blood lust at the young vampire.
Skirr - March 6, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
Colton glared. "It's not the girl. It's what you're going to do with her." If Colt hadn't made that apparent before, he did now. "If you want entertainment, go to the movies. Blockbuster's open late; go rent some adult film for 'entertainment'. Put her down."
Colton could imagine, and fathom what it was like to be in Aiden's shoes, but, then again, he didn't know. He had only been undead for 7 months. He had little to no knowledge of the other's life.
Colton watched the man growl at him, and he sneered. How pathetic. His three year old made better faces than this man. "I'm not going anywhere until you put her down. Hiss at me all you want." Colton grinned, exposing the top halves of his fangs to the other man. The lower half were hidden by his lower lip; they were nearly an inch long, and one couldn't see all of them unless he bared them. "Just remember two can play at that game."
Aiden Savo - March 6, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
Aiden snarled. "So, you want to play hardball. eh?" He dropped the girl to the ground. Her limb body hit the dirt with a soft thud. Aiden listened as the fledgling finished talking and bared his fangs. Aiden grinned.
"I'll warn you once, fledgling. Don't get in my way. I've been avoiding clan members, but clan or no clan, step aside, or I will make you pay."
If he was a clan member, doing ths might provoke the entire clan, either way, I've had enough of this fledgling's softhearted feelings. Aiden rolled his neck and cracked his knuckles. He had a feeling a fight was about to take place.
Skirr - March 7, 2005 02:29 AM (GMT)
Colton smiled, which had the purpose to annoy, rather than to show happiness, and spoke with the same tone. "I'd rather not play anything at all. I want to go home, but until you drop that girl..." Aiden dropped her, and Colton watched her fall. Better a few bruises than a rape and murder.
"You harm me, and you'll have an entire coven to deal with. Maybe I didn't introduce myself? I'm Colton, leader of the Nephim coven." Well, ex-leader, but only by two days. No one knew the news yet, so it was safe to still play this card.
Colton started to look fearful as Aiden cracked his neck and knuckles, but the fear was quickly replaced with a blank face. Aiden wouldn't dare. Would he? Colton took a slight step back on his left foot, not to flee, but as a better position to stand at.
The girl remained motionless at Aiden's feet, and Colton began to piece together a plan...
Aiden Savo - March 8, 2005 04:01 PM (GMT)
Aiden's malevolent grin faltered. His face morphed back into a normal mortal appearance. "Coven leader?" He can't be. He's so small and scrawny, he's a new vampire, what the bloody hell? I can't take any chances. "Fine. You win." Aiden leant down and morphed his face to a vampire appearance and bit into the girl. The warm pure blood gushed into his mouth. He savored the taste. After a minute or so he let the limp body hit the ground. Blood dribbled from his mouth. He wiped it off then gracefully leapt on to a ledge of the warehouse. "I suppose we'll meet again." He leapt onto another building and ran off into the night.
